Rpov:
it was silent for a moment as we all stared at each other.

The boys were stunned and speechless, while Dimitri stared at both of them, emotionless.

Does he keep thinking they're not his kids?
Lyra steps back, looking at me.

I nod at her and with that, she disappears into the woods, staying near the horses.

I looked towards my sons.

Luka is the first to snap out of it. "He's not my father,"

I looked at him, surprised.

I didn't know what to expect, honestly, but it still took me by surprise.

Dimitri didn't even blink, but through the bond, I could feel his agony.

I thought only pack members can hear your thoughts?
"Others can hear if you project it," Aiden explained, staring at Dimitri.

Dimitri took a step towards us and Aiden bristled, snarling at him.

He stilled.

"Let's head inside," I suggested, eyeing their wounds.

They nodded, but they didn't take their eyes off of him.

I let out a whimper as I walked and Dimitri's eyes snapped towards mine.

"Shit, I think my shoulder's dislocated," I muttered.

Dimitri started to walk forward, only for Luka to snap at him, baring his teeth.

I expected him to stand down, to keep his distance.

He did the opposite.

Dimitri snarled back, snapping at him as he got closer.

His shoulder hunched and he took a defensive stance as he neared me.

I shifted and cringed as the dislocated bone moved.

Aiden and Luka curled around me, glaring at Dimitri with their hackles rose.

Fuck, I can't walk the rest of the way.

Luka then tried to snap at Dimitri's neck, who dodged it and snarled back, snapping.

"Stop it," I snarled, snapping at the both of them.

I ignored the shot of pain I received as I lunged between them.

"Luka, Aiden, Go inside with your Aunt. She knows what to do; I can't keep going like this. Bring me a pair of clothe also. No arguments." I said sternly. "I'll be ok," I said, looking at both of them.

They nodded. They knew not to argue.

The minute they were out of sight, I slumped to the ground, leaning on my right side.

I closed my eyes, laying my head on the ground.

I heard footsteps coming closer and I ignored them, knowing it was Dimitri.

I tried not to flinch as he stepped over me.

His head lowered and he nuzzled my neck, bumping my shoulder in the process.

I flinched away from his touch and he whimpered; lying on the ground next to me.

I didn't have the energy to move away. The pain hurt too much, including my aching body. I was starting to feel the pain from shifting for a while. It feels like you've been in a cramped space for too long and you're finally stretching after a while. It sucked.

I felt him lay his head on my ribs, staying close to me. We stayed like that, silent.

It felt like hours have passed when I finally heard the rapid footsteps of the horses' hooves.

Luka broke into the clearing first, followed by Lyra and Aiden.

Dimitri stood over me protectively as Luka rushed forward.

He stopped, glaring at him.

I gasped; I have never seen so much anger in him.

Aiden walked over to his brother, silently telling him to step back.

Luka unwillingly stepped down, allowing Lyra to come closer.

Alek and Veronika have taught them to never mess with a mated Alpha, especially when he's protecting his mate. It gets ugly and it doesn't matter if you're family, including kids.

I snarled, getting angry.

How dare he treat our kids like that?

Lyra gave me an apologetic smile and laid the clothes a good ten feet in front of us.

She gestured for Luka and Aiden to head back and they slowly left.

I felt myself relax and I grit my teeth, letting myself phase.

I grabbed the clothes slowly, feeling his eyes on me.

I slipped on the baggy shirt and shorts, almost collapsing.

Just before I hit the ground, strong muscular arms wrapped around me.

I slipped into moments of unconsciousness. I remember him carrying me through the woods, pulling along my wary horse.

It felt like forever.

I suddenly felt something soft beneath me.

I frowned and moved my arms, which came in contact with some pillows.

I snuggled in deeper and I finally fell asleep.

Dpov:

I watched her sleep, making sure she doesn't roll over to her bad shoulder.

I sighed. How did this all go badly?

I snapped at my own sons. How the hell am I going to win them over when I do this when I meet them?

I sighed again.

I looked up as the door hesitantly opened and Lyra's head popped in.

I gestured for her to come in and she slowly did, unsure.

"How is she doing?" she asked quietly.

"She's getting rest," I said, choosing my words carefully.

She nodded, looking over at Rose.

"Are you going to stay here?" she asked, uncertain.

I nodded. "I doubt I'm going to be welcomed down there,"

She nodded and slipped out the door.

She's different, unlike the person I met in the airplane.

I sat there for a long time and around late afternoon, she finally stirred.

She moved her head to the side and let out a soft groan, her face scrunching up into a grimace.

Her eyes fluttered open and they bore into mine.

She blinked then shot up, only to cringe as pain no doubt shot through her.

She gritted her teeth and pushed herself up. "What the hell are you doing in my room? Better yet, on my property?" She hissed out.

I stood up and stalked towards her bed.

She stood her ground, never moving a muscle.

I leaned down so my face was right across from hers.

"I'm here to take back what's mine," I growled.

She rolled her eyes and pushed me away.

"Still stubborn," I muttered, going back to my chair.

"Still an ass," she retorted without missing a beat.

I groaned and sat down on the chair. This is going to be harder than I thought.

I stayed silent as she tried to get up. She cringed at every moment and she finally groaned, giving up.

"You need to get that checked out," I stated.

"I'm fine," she said, glaring.

"You can barely move," I argued.

She scoffed.

"Let me see," I said, standing up.

"I don't need your help," she grit out.

"You need help," I repeated.

"I'm fine, damn It." she growled.

I groaned but I started to walk over to her.

She glared and ripped out her alarm clock, throwing it at me.

I ducked just in time, hearing it crash into pieces against the wall.

I stood up, looking at Rose in shock as she ripped the lamp out of the socket.

"Are you really going to destroy your own things? Only to miss?" I asked incredulously.

"Yes!" she snarled, throwing it.

I ducked again, and stood up, only to get hit with a glass vase.

"What the hell is going on?" Lyra yelled, barging in.

"Get him away from me!" Rose yelled, pointing at me.

I rolled my eyes and stood up. "Stop being dramatic."

Her head whipped around to face me. "Excuse me? You're in my fucking home, intruding by the way, and you're telling me what to do? Who the fuck do you think you are?" she demanded, yelling.

"You're pushing it," Lyra muttered lowly to me.

Then my sons barged in, eyes searching until they rested on their mother.

I watched as they relaxed a little, making their way towards her.

She relaxed in their presence, setting down the shoes she had in her hand.

"Get out," one said, without even looking at me.

"No," I said, standing my ground.

One of them turned around, eyes blazing.

"Because of you she's hurt," he hissed, standing up.

"Aiden," Rose warned softly.

"No," he said. "Because of you she's here,"

"Stop," she told him.

He ignored her. "Because of you, she suffered."
"Now,"

"Because of you she went through hell and back" he said, walking forward. "Because of you she went through all this alone," he was now in front of me, inches away. "Yet you have the fucking nerve to show up here all high and mighty and demand she do things like nothing. I don't know who the fuck you think you are and I don't care that you're my father; you're just a sperm donor." He spat.

All his words were like knives, each stabbing slowly into me; twisting in all directions.

But I didn't show it.

"Are you done?" I asked gruffly.

He scoffed and walked back to Rose, who took his hand in hers, despite the obvious pain.

"I think its best you leave," she said, voice strained.

I shook my head, "I'm going to be outside," I grunted, heading for the door.

I sighed and leaned against the wall, sliding towards the ground.

How did this get so messed up?

My own sons hate me. But I don't blame them.

I'm turning like my father.

I bit my lip, biting back the sobs that were threatening to shake through my body.

Rpov:

I sagged against Aiden when he stepped through the door.

"You didn't have to do that," I said quietly after a while.

I felt him release a deep breath. "I know,"

We stayed quiet for a while until Lyra spoke up.

"We need to get your wounds checked," she said softly.

I groaned and nodded.

After ordering Luka and Aiden to move, she settled down into the bed, first aid in hand.

"Veronika and Damien are out, you're stuck with me," she joked, but her heart wasn't into it.

Something was bothering her, and bad.

I'll corner her later when we're alone.

I hissed as she touched my shoulder.

"We're going to have to push it back,"

I groaned. "Can we do it later?" I whined.

She chuckled and shook her head.

"You're a mother of two and you still whine?" Luka joked, trying to defuse the tension.

I rolled my eyes. "Please, this mother still has game, I'm only twenty one."

They groaned.

"Please don't ever say that again," Aiden said.

I frowned. "You two make me feel old." I pouted.

They shrugged.

"I still need to have fun," I grumbled.

"Yeah, but I don't like how most of the men look at you."

"Like what?" I asked; ignoring the stinging pain that came from a scratch as Lyra disinfected it.

"Like you're a piece of meat," Luka grumbled.

I laughed. "What can I say? You have a hot mom,"

They groaned while Lyra and I laughed.

It grew quiet for a moment.

"What do you two think of Dimitri?" I asked timidly.

They tensed.

Jeez, even the mention of him…..

"Honestly, don't shut out on me now." I said; a bit stern.

"We'll locate this after," Lyra muttered, settling into the cushioned chair Dimitri was sitting in minutes ago.

I think it's just an excuse to stay here and listen.

I don't blame her.

They looked at each other and Aiden groaned, obviously going first.

"I don't know what to say," he admitted. "I mean, he looks like he cares about you,"

This was not what I expected.

"It doesn't matter if he does or not. The question is; what do you think about him?"

He sighed. "I don't know what to think of him, honestly. All he has shown me is the natural behavior of an Alpha," he said, looking pointedly at me.

"Well I don't like him," Luka spoke up bluntly.

"Why?" I asked, though I knew why.

I wanted him to say it.

He sighed. "He left us before we were even born. He denied us and rejected us. We grew up without a father. We had father figures, but never a true father." he said quietly.

Aiden nodded, agreeing. "He's basically nothing to us. He has not part in us. He's just a sperm donor."

I could tell this hurt them more than they let on.

"If he tried, would you let him in?" I asked slowly, choosing my words carefully.

They looked at me surprised.

"You would do that?" Luka asked, in disbelief.

I nodded. "He's your father, whether you like it or not. I kept him from you guys for a long time. He's missed out a lot. But he came back." I hesitated. "And I hid you two from him long enough. It doesn't matter what I feel." I added in, before they use that as an excuse.

They stayed silent.

"We know that you hid him from us," was all Aiden said.

I looked at them, confused.

"Ivan," Luka muttered.

I groaned. "That little," I trailed off.

"We asked," Aiden said, almost guiltily.

I felt my face soften. "If you ever have questions, come to me and I'll answer them. And don't use that bullshit of an excuse saying it'll bring me pain." I warned.

They nodded.

"Well?" I asked.

"I'll give it a try," Aiden muttered.

Luka nodded. "If he makes an effort," he added in.

"But we're going to make him work for it." Aiden ended.

It's a rare thing for me to see them start and finish sentences. It's probably a twin thing.

I smiled softly at them. "That's my boys,"

They grinned.

"But are you sure?" Aiden asked, worried.

Luka nodded, agreeing.

I sighed. "Your father and I have been through hell and back on so many things. I'm fine with it; we can be two reasonable adults,"

They snorted and I narrowed my eyes at them.

"Anyways, I knew that we weren't finished when we left. I knew that we would meet again, as stupid as that sounds," I said, frowning.

They smirked.

Do they do everything together at the same time? Almost unconsciously?

Yes, they do.

"I'm going to be fine," I promised them. "We're definitely going to have some issues and tension going on," I warned.

"We know," they groaned.

"Okay," I said; nodding.

They started to get up.

"Get some rest; I know you're tired,"

I nodded, this time not refusing.

They kissed my cheek and walked out, closing the door shut.

I turned to Lyra.

"Are you sure?" she asked, worried.

I took a deep breath, nodding.

"Yes, I am. They are going to give him a chance. That's all that matters. They shouldn't deny each other that relationship." I said, "It's worth a shot," I said quietly.

"What about you two?"

I shrugged. "When I left, I knew a part of knew that we would meet again. This story isn't over yet," I said, a wary smile on my face.

She laughed lightly and nodded.

"Good luck, girl."

I groaned. "Thank you, I will definitely need it."
She got up. "I'm going to give you a minute before we locate that shoulder again. I'm going to check to see it Damien and Veronika are here. It would be nice to have some professional help," she muttered, walking out.

She just made me nervous. Professional help?

I sighed and leaned against the head board of my bed.

I looked around the room, which consisted serious shades of browns, greens and blacks with some yellow. It actually wasn't that bad.

I heard the door open and shut quietly.

I knew it was him.

"How are you?" he said gruffly.

I shrugged. "Could've been better," I said curtly.

He sighed. "Look, Rose; I'm sorry."

"For what?" I asked.

I knew I was being hard on him, but I couldn't help it.

He's put me through so much. I'm not going to go crawling back automatically.

"For today."

Wrong answer.

"I know I should've handled that situation better," he said, pausing. I could see that he was struggling for words. "It was wrong of me. I don't know what came over me to treat them that way," he whispered.

Anger faded away, for now.

"They're willing to give you a chance," I said after a moment.

I heard his intake of breath.

What can I say? If they're my kids, they expect them to be like me.

I don't blame them.

"But you have to fight for it," I warned.

I heard him chuckle lowly.

"You can count on that," he said, but I heard an underlying waver in his voice.

"Just try," I said gently.

I could almost hear him nod.

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

I did not know how this was going to go, but again; I did not expect this.

"Rose," he started.

"Don't,"

I knew where this was heading.

"Look,"

"I don't want to hear it. You're going to fight for our sons trust, not for my love or whatever bullshit you think. Our sons are first."

He groaned and nodded.

Lyra came in. "They're going to be here in a few hours," she said, out of breath.

I groaned.

"Let's just do it now," Dimitri cut in.

"Wait, wait, wait; no." I said, cutting in.

"You need to get that healed before it starts to heal like that," he argued.

"Just do it," Lyra growled.

"Can't I get anesthesia?" I whined.

"No; I'm not good with needles." She said bluntly.

I growled and nodded.

"Like a band aid?" she asked, nervous.

I nodded, but grew wary.

"Are you sure you know how to do this?" I asked.

She nodded then shrugged. "I have an idea."

"I would feel more comfortable when Damien comes back."

She rolled her eyes. "Where's the trust? I have an idea; it can't be that hard,"

Now I rolled my eyes. "You do realize that you're putting my shoulder back in place? Do you know what that means? My shoulder isn't in its socket" I said, freaking out.

"Don't be so dramatic,"

I groaned. "I'm dramatic because I don't want to end up getting surgery for my arm to get amputated."

"I know how to do it," Dimitri said, stepping up.

"No you don't." I accused.

He rolled his eyes, exasperated. "I have a fair knowledge in the medical field, remember?"

I grimaced, remembering the times he patched me up.

"Like a band aid?" he asked, turning to Lyra.

She nodded. "Yup," she said, popping the p. "You do it quickly instead of dragging it out,"

He nodded and turned to me.

"This is going to hurt," he warned.

I shrugged. "I've had worse," I muttered.

He made me turn and he placed his hands over my shoulder, examining it.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

"No," I said.

Before I could say anything else, his hands flexed.

"Motherfucker!" I screamed out as my shoulder cracked and move back to place.

I grit my teeth at the pain.

"I'll go get you some ice," Lyra muttered, heading out.

I glared at him.

"You've had worse," he said, reminding me.

I groaned and turned away from him, rolling my shoulders back.

He sat back down in the chair, closing his eyes.

I turned and examined him.

He's hasn't changed much.

His hair was a little bit longer and he had gained more muscle.

He's still his tall self, he hasn't grown.

Well that I can see.

I shook my thoughts away and looked away.

I looked outside my window and raised my eyebrows in surprise.

The sun was beginning to set.

I groaned; it's almost eight and I haven't eaten anything.

I looked down at myself. I was covered in grass stains and dirt. Not to mention my hair was in a tangled mess.

I got up, cringing at my sore body.

Dimitri's eyes snapped open as I rummaged through my closet to get a set of clothing.

"What are you doing?" he asked as I came out.

"Shower," was all I said.

Then shut the door, cutting off whatever he was about to say.

I paused for a minute then locked the door.

I stripped off and stepped into the shower.

I don't know what he wants and I don't know where this is going to leave us.

All I do know is that we are going to have to eventually talk, especially when he's no doubt planning to stay here.

I sighed and continued with my shower.

"What's for dinner?" I asked, stepping into the kitchen.

I frowned as Luka and Aiden became silent.

I looked over just in time to see Ivan disappear.

Huh, guess he's going to wait.

They shrugged.

"You know how to cook for no reason," I grumbled.

Lyra walked in from the other entrance and handed me a pack of ice.

I smiled at her, thankful.

"What are we eating?" I asked again.

Then Dimitri walked in, a bit hesitant.

"Are you staying for dinner?" Lyra asked.

He turned to me.

I shrugged. "I don't care. Even if I say no, you're still going to be a pain in my ass and stay here."
He rolled his eyes. "I'll stay then."

I pursed my lips and turned away.

"Go set the table," I told the boys.

They hopped off the counter and headed to the patio.

I frowned, why did we buy that dining table anyways?

We're always outside.

I shrugged and turned to Lyra.

"I made pasta with salad."

"Sounds good,"

Just then the door bell rang.

"I'll get it," I volunteered, eager to get out of the tension filled room.

I looked back and frowned.

It almost seems as if they know each other.

I shrugged it off; she would have told me.

I opened the door to reveal Damien and Veronika.

"Don't you have a key?" I asked.

Only for them to reveal bags.

"What the hell did you get?" I asked, exasperated and stepped aside.

"We needed to stock up the office," Damien said, grunting as he carried the medical supplies.

"And wedding items," Veronika sang, her accent coming out a bit.

I chuckled and closed the door, only for a foot to stop the door.

"Are you really going to shut the door on your favorite guest?" a voice said.

I looked up and grinned. "Adrian!" I said, leaping into his arms.

"Good to see you, little dhampire." He said, hugging me.

I looked behind him, noticing he was alone.

"How did you get here?" I asked, closing the door.

We walked slowly into the main entrance.

"Well, I was coming here to surprise you along with Sydney. But I ran into these two love birds and decided to tag along. Sydney will be here tomorrow 'cause of work." he explained.

I nodded.

"I've missed you," I said quietly.

He smiled and pulled me into his side as we reached the living room.

"So have I," he said.

Then he turned to face me, scrutinizing my face.

"Something about you has changed," he said, grabbing my shoulders.

I winced as his fingers slightly dug into it.

Noticing, he let go.

"What happened? What did I miss?" he asked.

Just then Luka and Aiden walked inside, stopping when they spot Adrian.

Aiden's eyes drifted towards the kitchen momentarily and raised his eyebrow at me.

I internally groaned.

Dimitri obviously doesn't know that Adrian visits me. And the boys know my past with Adrian. Adrian doesn't know about my phase and Dimitri being here.

Adrian turns to my boys and his faces breaks out into a grin.

"Look at you two," he says, "how much you've grown. Literally," he jokes.

Luka rolls his eyes and steps forward.

"Hey Uncle Adrian," he greets, giving him a hug.

Aiden does the same.

"Where's Aunt Syd?" Aiden asks, pulling away.

"She'll be here tomorrow." he says.

"So, what's new?' he asks.

We stay silent for a moment.

"What?"

Lyra then comes out, stopping when she sees Adrian.

She turns around, going back into the kitchen.

"Never mind, you know what, there's," she says, no doubt talking to Dimitri.

"Wait," Dimitri says, no doubt confused at the sudden change.

"Who's here?" Adrian asks, turning towards us.

"Well, a lot of things have happened today," I start off.

"No, look," Lyra says, trying to call Dimitri back in.

It was too late.

"What the hell is going on?" Adrian asked, facing me.

"I would like to say the same thing, Ivashkov." Dimitri says calmly, looking furious.

"Shit," Lyra mutters behind him.

Adrian turns around and a flicker of surprise crosses his face.

Then he goes back to his cocky self.

"Fancy seeing you here, Belikov," he says with a lazy grin.

I elbow him in the ribs and he cringes.

"Don't push it," I muttered lowly.

He waves me off.

"So how's Lissa?" he asked, ignoring his glare.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?" Dimitri grits out.

He shrugs. "She's been good. She had a meeting two days ago."

Oh god, Adrian, you're pushing it.

And Luka and Aiden thought so too as they snickered every time Adrian answered.

He turns around to face Luka and Aiden; bad mistake.

"So, what else is new?" he says, ignoring Dimitri.

Before we could process what happened, Dimitri had Adrian pinned to the wall by the throat.

"You know I'm with Sydney right? This is too much for my taste." He said, egging him on.

"You knew where she was?" Dimitri snarled.

"Let go, Dimitri," I cried, pulling at his arms.

"I've been searching for them for almost three years and you've denied many times that you didn't know where they were." He continued. "I've suffered because of you. They did too."

Adrian snorted, or tried to. "You've suffered? They have suffered. You denied your own children. Don't blame me because I stuck to my word to not say anything. Blame yourself." He wheezed out.

This threw Dimitri over the edge because he knew he was right.

Dimitri swung and Adrian was able to avoid it, his fist going through the wall.

"Stop it!" I cried again.

I grabbed onto Dimitri's hair and pulled his head back.

"Ouch," I heard Luka mutter behind me.

Why were they just standing there?
I slapped Dimitri, gaining his attention for a moment.

"Stop," I said, exasperated.

Taking a deep breath, he dropped Adrian.

He slumped to the ground, coughing.

"C'mon," Luka said, helping Adrian up.

"Fucking idiot," Aiden commented, trailing behind.

"This idiot is your uncle, show some respect." Adrian retorted.

How he was able to joke, I have no idea.

Lyra went inside with them to the kitchen.

I closed my eyes and groaned.

This was going out of control.

I can't handle all this at the same time. It's starting to overwhelm me.

"Roza," he whispered.

"Don't call me that," I whispered.

I opened my eyes to see him staring at me.

Any emotions swarmed through his eyes, but they were gone before I can decipher them.

"Look,"

"I don't want to hear it. Let's just eat."

He nodded, defeated.

We headed back to the kitchen.

Dinner was actually great.

Well, as great as it can be.

It was very awkward, but better than I had expected it.

Luka and Aiden retreated to their rooms.

I didn't blame them.

I almost glared at them in envy when they left.

"Well, I'm heading up." Lyra said after we finished cleaning up.

I groaned.

Now I'm stuck here with him.

The house was pretty much empty; everyone was in their rooms, including Adrian.

Pavel and Vicky left yesterday to go see my parents.

I left the kitchen without a word.

After changing into some shorts and a tank top, I headed for the patio.

I opened the glass door and closed it.

I turned around and stopped.

Dimitri was leaning against a pillar, watching the crackling fire.

He turned around and I stood there awkwardly.

I couldn't just walk away.

I squirmed under his heated gaze.

"I thought you left," I finally said.

He shrugged.

"Do you have a place to stay?"

He nodded.

I let out a tiny sigh of relief.

"I'm staying at the nearest hotel from here," he said, leaning against the pillar again, only facing me this time.

My jaw dropped. "That hotel is very expensive." I stated.

I'm sure he knew that.

He nodded.

"How long are you staying here?" I blurted out, moving closer.

His eyes roamed my body as I came out of the shadows.

I cleared my throat as his eyes lingered at my chest.

His eyes snapped up.

"How long are you staying?" I asked again, glaring at little.

"I'm not leaving," he said immediately.

"You're going to stay in that hotel? All this time?" I asked, incredulously.

"I'll find somewhere to stay," he said simply.

I groaned.

I can't believe I'm doing this.

"Would you like to stay here?" I asked, not meeting his eyes.

A flicker of surprise passed through his eyes.

"Seriously?" he asked in disbelief.

I rolled my eyes. "You're trying to save your relationships with our kids. Yes, I'm willing,"

He nodded.

"If it's not too much,"
I waved him off. "As long as you don't get in my way. I still have shit to do," I muttered.

He nodded.

"What is all this?" he asked, gesturing towards everything.

I sighed and sat down in front of the fire.

He followed, sitting next to me.

He sat close to me and his leg was almost touching mine.

"I've always wanted to live near a beach," I said, smiling. "But I also wanted to be secluded and somewhere sunny, obviously. I also wanted do something. I just didn't want to sit on my ass all day. I had a family to provide to," I ignored his flinch at that. "And I knew I couldn't guard anyone. I couldn't send them to an academy. So I home schooled them. This all helped." I said.

He nodded.

"What are their names?" he asked.

He already knew, no doubt.

"I'll introduce them to you properly tomorrow," I promised.

He smiled and nodded.

"Where's Victoria?" he asked hesitantly.

I looked at him, remembering.

"She went out of the country for some business to attend with Pavel." I said, choosing my words carefully.

He frowned. "Pavel? Abe's guardian?"

It dawned on him.

"He knew too?" he growled out.

I nodded. "He brought me here."
He cursed in Russian, but I didn't bother telling him I knew what he said.

"Who else knows?" he asked, angry.

"Lissa," I said in a quiet voice.

He rolled his eyes. "Of course." He muttered. "Do the rest know?"

I nodded, observing his reactions.

I wasn't scared of him, but ever since he phased during the time we went camping, his emotions have been more on display.

He settled down and sighed.

He knew there was nothing else he can do.

After a moment of silence, he spoke up.

"What else have you been up to?" he asked nonchalantly.

I knew what he was talking about, but I wanted him to say it.

I shrugged. "I go hunting from time to time. Do a few bounty hunts on Strigoi. I still need to keep in shape,"

He nodded, unsatisfied. His lips were set into a grim thin line. I knew he didn't like the idea of me hunting; it also reminded him of our time in Russia.

"Have you," he trailed off.

I shook my head. "I haven't been with anyone," I clarified

He nodded and let out a sigh of relief.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"You're mine," he said simply.

I scoffed. "You don't own me. We're not married anymore. We're not even a couple. The only ties we have are our kids."

He chuckled darkly.

I looked up, only to lean back as he was right in front of me, his face so close to mine.

My breathing hitched a bit as I felt his hot breath in my face.

I distinctly smelled his aftershave, the one I loved so much.

His hands gripped my bare thighs and pulled my forward, towards him.

"Dimitri," I gasped, stunned.

I started to pull back, fighting against him.

But his grip only tightened.

I managed to kick him and his grip loosened.

I barely got two steps and was about to just over the couch I was sitting on when he grabbed my foot.

"Fuck," I yelped as my upper half of my body crashed against the back of the couch and with Dimitri's weight, the couch fell back.

We crashed to the ground, Dimitri somehow landing on top of me, effectively pinning my whole body to the ground.

Great, he has the upper hand.

I groaned, feeling his weight on top of me.

I gasp for breath as the fall knocked the wind out of me.

"Get off of me," I grunt out.

He shifted.

Then I actually realized how our position was.

His face was right next to mine and I could feel his breath on my neck.

Our bodies were pressed right into each other.

My leg was between his legs and my right leg was almost wrapped around his waist.

To top it off, my hips were against his.

"I actually like this position," he said huskily.

I bit my lip from moaning out as he shifted again, causing our lower halves to grind against each other.

I struggled to keep my walls up, to keep him away.

The last thing I need is encouragement for him to continue.

"I don't," I grit out, pushing against him. "Get the hell off of me," I growled.

"Another tie we have is our bond," he said, ignoring my question.

I looked away before I could lose myself in his deep chocolate eyes.

"Remember that? The same bond we created that night on the camping ground?" he asked. To prove his point, he ground his hips against mine.

I moaned out, not expecting that.

I looked up to see his eyes darken.

"The same bond I got sucked into almost every night." He whispered.

My eyes widened.

He saw that?

"That bond is the only thing we have," I growled, bucking my body to get out of his hold.

Only it did the opposite.

I watched as he closed his eyes and let out a soft groan.

Shit.

I'm not going to lie; I'm still attracted to him.

The flash of heat between my legs was proof of that.

"The same one I've been trying to keep you out of," I finished.

"It's not working out for you," he said, eyes opening.

I just stared at him.

He leaned closer.

"I could feel your emotions; when you're happy, upset, in pain, or when you're in pleasure." He said huskily in my ear.

I shivered as he bit my ear.

I could feel myself shaking in anticipation.

I forgot the feelings only he can bring me.

I forgot the way he can make me feel with a simple touch.

I forgot the times where I would be putty in his hands.

And that's exactly what I'm remembering.

I looked up to see Dimitri gazing down at me.

Next thing I know, his lips were on me.

I froze, but then I kissed him back.

I missed him.

The kiss was hot, desperate, and hard.

He forced his tongue inside my mouth and I moaned out, sucking on it.

His hands roamed my body, trailing down my pinned arms, down to my sides.

They stopped at my hips.

I pulled away, needing air, but his lips continued.

They trailed down my neck, sucking and biting.

I moaned, arching my back, pushing my chest against his.

His hands took advantage; they roamed downwards towards my ass, squeezing.

We both moaned as I bucked my hips in response.

My hands flew to his shoulder and they went downwards, towards his hemline.

My hands went under his shirt and back up his back.

I rocked against him, needing to relieve the friction.

He groaned and pulled my harder against him.

We sat up, against the fallen couch.

I ended up straddling him.

I groaned as his hands found their way to my ass again, pulling me against him, making our lower halves touch.

I moaned out, grinding harder against him.

I panted, my head thrown back to give him more access.

He bucked under me.

I moaned out, loving the friction his jeans made when they connected towards my thin shorts.

My nails raked down his back, earning a hiss.

My hands traveled to the front and they roamed his chest, tracing his abs.

Our moves became jerky and desperate as we ground against each other.

"That's it, Roza," he moaned, grunting.

His words sent a flash of heat to my core.

However, it was a bucket of cold water.

He noticed and flipped us around as I pulled away.

"Get off of me," I said roughly, not looking at him.

How the hell could I lose control like that?

"Are you sure?' he asked, leaning closer.

I leaned back, trying to get as far as I could.

"Yes," I grit out.

He shrugged. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Before he got up, he paused.

"That bond isn't just our only connection, you just proved that. You still want me." he said, kissing my lips one more time before I could pull away.

I scoffed. "Whatever; that was just pent up sexual frustration from the past three years." I looked up at him grinning. "You were just the guy who was lucky enough to experience that," I said, winking. "Too bad it couldn't be my friend who was trying to get me to be his girlfriend. I was looking forward to it," I said, egging him on. "Oh well," I shrugged.

I was dragged up by my arm roughly and I hid a grin.

I smiled innocently at Dimitri, who was furious.

"You're mine," he snarled, pulling me close.

"Oh yeah? What," I was cut off.

He lips latched onto my neck, sucking harshly.

I bit my lip from moaning out.

I shoved him away, but he didn't budge.

He pulled away, smiling in satisfaction at the hickey he no doubt left me.

"Asshole," I growled as I well onto the fall couch as he let go of me.

"Don't let him near you if you care for his safety," he snarled.

I rolled my eyes in response.

He headed towards the glass door and before he shut it, he paused.

When the hell is he going to leave?

"I'm going to fight for you, Roza." He said softly.

He left before I could respond.

I sat there, stunned.

What the hell just happened?
I sat there, on the fallen couch with the cushions strewn around me.

I groaned; this was going to be difficult.

My resolve is already diminishing and it's barely the first day.
