Jason insisted on carrying Sam from his truck to the penthouse. Once they entered his home he placed her on the couch and ran to get her an ice pack. Jason returned and handed her the ice for her hip. "Are you ok" he asked her as he wiped a stray piece of hair from her face. She gave him a small smile "I'm ok Jase, promise" and with that the couple sat intertwined on the couch in silence. A small knock at the door interupted them and Jason quickly got up to answer it. "Is my sister here" Dom asked. Jason opened the door and pointed towards Sam on the couch. Dom walked over and gave her a kiss on the head. "I heard what happened, are you ok? Did he hurt you? Why didnt you take her to the hospital?" he shouted towards Jason. Dom had heard from Nicholas what had happened with Stefan. Dom was pissed and his first instinct was to see his sister. His next was to put Stefan in his place. "Hey dont blame him, I said no hospital" she told her brother with a smile, hoping to relieve his worry. "I'm ok, Dom. I promise. But I need something from you" she said to him knowing that this wasnt going to go over well. "Anything" Dom replied. "I need you and Lucas to leave Uncle alone. Let me handle him. Please." Dom shook his head, "No way." "Dom please, I need to talk to him. Please, for me?" she begged him. "You have one chance Sam, I mean it and I want to be there to protect you or no deal" he told her leaving no room for negotiaions. "Fine. Tomorrow, pick me up" she told him and with that he was gone.
Jason leaned up against the desk and just stared at Sam. He finally felt true love and it scared him to think how he almost gave up on it and how he could of lost her. It was then that he decided that no more what if's and that they needed to live today for it could be their last. Jason smiled as he walked over to her and sat down next to her. He grabbed her hands and kissed them softly. "I love you, you know that right?" he asked her. She smiled "Of course I know that and I love you too." Jason moved so he was facing her. "You came into my life so unexpectantly and it scared me. You were so fragile and you had lost so much yet you were strong and you were so beautiful that I think it was that first time I saw you that I knew I loved you and that you were meant to be in my life forever." Jason dropped to one knee "I dont have a ring for you but I cant wait anymore, Samantha, will you do the honor of becoming my wife and loving me for the rest of our lives?" Sam wiped away the tears that fell down her face and she pulled Jason's face up to her and kissed him. "Yes. Yes Jason I want nothing more then to become your wife" she whispered to him.
The next morning as Sam laid in bed with Jason, she turned to see him smiling down at her. "Morning" he whispered. Sam smiled and gave him a small kiss "Morning." Jason pulled out a box on the nightstand and handed it to her "I promised you a ring" he told her as she opened it. It was a 2 carat ring with diamonds all around the band. "How did you" she started to ask and he just shrugged his shoulders. Truthfully he called in a few favors and had it delivered in less then 12 hours. "Would you do the honors" Sam asked as she held out her left finger. Jason carefully slipped on the ring and kissed his finace.
Dom and Lucas had both arrived to pick Sam up at 10 am sharp. Sam was surprised to see both brothers "Oh no I agreed to you Dom, not both of you" Sam told them as she stood at the door. "Oh come on little one, you really didnt think that I wasnt going to want to be involved did you?" Lucas told her. Sam ran her hand through her hair when the ring caught her brothers eyes. Sam realized her mistake and bit her lower lip in anticipation of the suddden outburst of anger her brothers were to have. Lucas started choking on his own saliva at the sight of the ring. Dom smacked him in the back and turned his attention back to their sister. "It was bad enough that you were dating him but now you are marrying him?" Dom asked angrily. "Morgan!" Lucas yelled as Jason was coming down the steps. "Oh no! You dont get to walk in here and start your macho brotherly act. Its my life and I will live it how I choose" She shouted at them. Jason knew this was coming and was more then ready to fight for his place in Sam's life. "Why dont we have a seat?" Jason stated calmly as he picked Sam up and carried her over to the couch. Her hip was still causing her alot of pain and he knew standing like that wasn't helping. All of them took a seat and Jason took the opportunity to speak first. "I love your sister. I have wasted alot of time with her and I know that this is sudden but I love her and I promise to protect her with my life." Dom laughed, "You are a mob king pin, a hitman, you have enemies that will come after her to get to you and you are still ok with placing her life in danger." "Dom thats not fair" Sam said. "Not fair? Whats not fair is having to live everyday knowing that you could be killed just to hurt him. Thats no fair!" Lucas shouted. "Youre right. But she could've been killed at the fair when she wasnt near me. I cant promise tomorrow for any of us but I can promise that I will lay my life down to protect her." Jason told them. "Please just let me live my life, with him. I love him and no matter how much you want to protect me, you can't. Please just give us your blessing and trust us. Trust that I will come to you if I need your help and that Jason loves me like he says he does. Please" Sam begged her brothers.
