Onward!

I felt a blush burning in my cheeks. I already knew what he was going to say to me. Leo stopped when he was about ten feet in front of me, and looked back at his brothers who were still cackling and giggling. Mikey specifically. He turned back around, a light blush coming up in his cheeks. He tried to give me a grin, but failed miserably. I buried my face in my hands. Leo approached me and kneeled in front of me respectively.

"Hi...Hayden..." He murmured, while looking down. I grinned.

"Hey...Leo.." Okay. Awkward start. Let's straighten it out a bit... "So, um, how ya' doing?" Irena who was sitting next to me giggled and stood up.

"Good luck." She said walking over to the guys, her wings held high.

"So Hayden...I've been thinking about this. I feel like there's...uh...a connection of some sort between us, and I want to find out what it is." His hand touched mine, and I could feel the electricity from the little bit of contact.

"I do too." I breathed, as the electricity became stronger, almost developing into pain. I saw a small spark fly when Leo moved his hand away from mine.

"Will you be my girlfriend Hayden?" I cannot believe he was asking me a question like this at a time like this. But the lack of blushing and the dead serious expression on his face proved he wasn't just asking me because his brothers dared him to. I could tell, that this was from his heart.

"I-I..." I looked back at the guys. No longer were they paying attention to us, they were laughing at something Irena had said. She looked over at me and gave me a thumbs up. I looked back at Leo. He was watching me expectantly, his blue eyes quietly questioning me. Will you? I smiled.

"Hmph." I said quietly. Leo's eyes were nervous and unsteady. No longer were they the strong, sapphire blue eyes I had become accustomed to.

"What if I said yes? What would happen then?" I continued

Leo grinned, his eyes shining bright again. "So...I take that as a yes?" I fell forward and wrapped my hands around his neck while laughing.

"Yup." I said satisfied. Leo rolled his eyes and stood up, holding his hand out to me.

"Come on." He said. I took his hand, letting him lift up seventy percent of me.

"So where are we going?" I asked once back on my feet. Leo averted his eyes away from my own, so that he was looking at the evening sky.

"Back to the states. We have to confront Bishop in Longview, Washington." He said.

"Bishop." He spat the name like it was poison on his tongue. A terrible name. A terrible person. Bishop...Irena...Oliver...

They had a bond. Three bonds, all intertwining with one another. Two friends, who once knew their enemy, and will know him again. Two friends, who lost each other over time, even though they're standing right in front of each other. Two friends, Oliver and Irena. One enemy, Bishop. Oliver and Irena's bonds. Lost in the echo...

In these promises broken

Deep below

Each word gets lost in the echo

So one last lie

I can see through

This time I finally let you

Go

Song: Lost in the Echo by Linkin Park. Because when I wrote Oliver and Irena's bonds. Lost in the echo... I immediately thought of that song.
