Knowing Secrets
Another day. It began like any other day. Emily was just walking around. "Such a nice morning," she said. She planned on meeting up with Justin again real soon.
First, she met up with her friends, Sarah, Katie and Phoebe. "Hello," she smiled. "Hi," said Sarah. "We should do something together on this nice day," said Emily. "All right," agreed Katie. "Now let's do it!" said Sarah. "Do what?" asked Phoebe. "Ask questions," Sarah explained.
"Ok," agreed Phoebe. "So, Emily," said Sarah. "We have a question," explained Phoebe. "Yes?" said Emily, "What did you want to say?" Soon, Phoebe started to panic.
"Yesterday!" she said. "Okay, what about yester-" Emily started to speak, but Phoebe cut her off.
"We were watching you for a while, so we went to look what you're doing, then you wore a unusual suit and we saw you pulverized that bully blob metal thing with power!" screamed Phoebe, with her mouth still covered; of course no one could here her, but Emily, Katie and Sarah.
"Okay, wait a minute," said Emily, "You saw me in my Sailor Warrior form? Is that what you're saying?" "Oh so that's what they're called," said Katie. "Okay," said Emily, "Now you know, but promise me you won't tell anyone else." "We won't tell anyone," said Sarah, "But what you did yesterday was wicked awesome!" Sarah became excited.
"You knighted that thing to bolts and nails, you kicked it in the leg, and you creamed it in the end!" Sarah continued, "Also you gave him a really bad sunburn." "Now that was hilarious," said Katie.
"Well, I'm glad you find the sunburn part funny," said Emily, "Okay, listen closely." Sarah, Phoebe and Katie listened closely. "Okay, I am a Sailor Warrior," Emily began, "I'm only 5 months old. Okay, let me begin."
First Emily told her friends about the legendary Sailor Warriors that fought the evil forces many years ago, and how Princess Serenity came to power. "And so," continued Emily, "My mom, Sailor Lightning was created by Princess Serenity to be the wife of my father, and she used her magic to create me, by accident."
"Wow," said Sarah, "That is so awesome." "Just wish I could meet the old Sailor Warriors," said Katie, "I bet Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter would make us the best pals." "Yeah, and hopefully Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus will make great friends," said Sarah. "And I don't know who else!" said Phoebe, "But I'll find out."
"Maybe one day," said Emily, "They will help us." "That would be nice," said Katie. Later that day, Sarah, Katie and Phoebe were walking together. "You know," said Sarah, "I was thinking."
"About what?" asked Katie. "Emily told us about how the sailor warriors fought all those creeps many years ago, right?" said Sarah. "Well, she said evil forces," said Phoebe.
"I know what I said!" said Sarah. "I wonder how she feels about defeating all those creeps," thought Sarah. Katie looked confused. "Just think," said Sarah, "If I did something mean to her, then I'll let her be mean back to me so we're even." "But why would you do something mean to Emily?" said Phoebe.
"I am not going to do something mean to her," said Sarah, sternly, "I'm just thinking about us being equal. Just an example." "Okay, what's on your mind?" asked Katie.
"Okay, guys," said Sarah, "I know how Emily feels fighting evil, but I want to feel it too." "So?" said Phoebe, nervously. "I am going to help Emily fight these vile creeps," said Sarah, triumphantly. "What?!" squeaked Phoebe. "Fight these things?" exclaimed Katie, "You're going to get ripped up like that!"
"Well, then," said Sarah, "I'll get Emily to transform me into a Sailor Warrior and help her out." "Are you crazy?" asked Katie, worried, "You could never return alive!"
"You're going to get murdered!" said Phoebe. "I'll be all right," said Sarah. "Do you remember what Emily said about the original sailor warriors?" said Katie.
"I don't care!" said Sarah, "Without them, Emily and her mother are having a lot on their hands. I'm going to help them out no matter what." And Sarah stomped away. "Wait," said Katie. Sarah stopped and turned around at Katie.
"If you're going to do this," she said, "Then I'm going to help you out. You'll have to let me become a Sailor Warrior and fight alongside with you." "Well," began Sarah, "This is my decision; I don't know if I should bring you into this."
"You must," said Katie. "Um, also," said Phoebe, "Can I join in, too?" "You too?!" exclaimed Sarah. "Uh yes," said Phoebe, "You can't do it without me."
"Then it's settled," concluded Sarah, "Tomorrow, we'll talk to Emily and see if she can get us transformed into Sailor Warriors." For the rest of the day, Sarah, Katie and Phoebe had their thoughts focused on this decision. They thought about it deeply and made their decision.
The next day, Sarah, Katie and Phoebe were all eager to talk to Emily the next time they see her. "Yes?" she said. "Um, that gives us a question to ask you, Emily- I mean Sailor Starshine," said Sarah.
"Yes?" Emily. "May we become Sailor Warriors like you and destroy evil?" said Sarah, Katie and Phoebe all together. Emily was stunned at the question, and very surprised. "Oh no," she said to herself. But she turned to her friends.
"Do you really want to dedicate your life to protect all that is right and become warriors to fight against the darkness like me, my mom and the others?" she asked. "Yes, we all do!" said Sarah. "I don't know," said Emily.
