Chapter 25

King's POV

"It's time Marik" I laughed as I watched him getting the last of his supplies before he would go and take down Jack, "I've waited so long for someone like you Marik, now you're on your way to become the third… oh I'd forgotten you were still here" I looked down at Spectre and smirked.

Marik's POV

"Mom and Dad you guys are coming" "of course someone has to keep an eye on you" she said smiling "besides we're not going to just stand around while you take down a tyrant" Dad said and loaded his guns, "ok people let's end this" Axton said and we went to the fast-travel and went to Eridium blight.

"So we have to work with Claptrap" Gaige groaned and I gave her a nod "he's the only one that can get past the gate" "great why not give him the key to the vault and ask him to save the world" "well once he opens the door we'll leave him behind" "how he's just going to follow us" "stairs Gaige stairs".

We got out and ran up the hill where Claptrap was waiting for us "MINI-" "no talking just go open the door" Axton said "AWWW… fine", he went up the hill and we followed "YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET DESTROYING MY PRODDUCT LINE JACK, I AM THE LAST CLAPTRAP AND I'M GOING TO TEABAG YOUR COOOOORRRRRRRPPPSSSSSEEE YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH".

I stared at him for a moment before face-palming "Angel can you" "no" "ok thanks", we watched as he typed away at the control panel and I groaned "this is taking too lo-" "automated defenses activated deploying turrets" "OH YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" Axton yelled and we readied ourselves as turrets digistructed along with loaders that were coming from the separate bunkers to our sides.

I fired at a loader blowing its arms off then slammed my scythe into its head, I turned and formed a chain on the bottom then threw it into another loader and pulled the chain tearing the scythe out of its head. I smirked before running as an explosive loader charged at me before I could reload, Krieg's buzz-saw slammed into its core and it blew up. "Thanks Krieg" I heard yelling and turned around and smiled upon seeing Miller along with the rest of our guys "hey Marik need a hand", I grinned and reloaded before we engaged the loaders.

"Alright men place the charges" a few ran to where the loaders were coming from and placed down charges in front of them before moving back, the doors opened and super badass loaders walked out only to be blown up when they stepped on the charges,

"C'mon open up" "negative, sending reinforcements" "OH COME ON" I formed an orb and threw it creating a black hole and pulling in a few loaders as well as surveyors, I jumped back as another explosive loader tried to dive bomb me. "Anyone wanna tell me why Claptrap is opening the door" Miller asked "because he's the only one who can actually operate the control panel" I replied "can't Cerberus do it" "…Cerberus can you" "I will need a moment to scan Claptrap then I will copy his-" "NO NO I GOT IT" "activating safe-locks" I watched as more doors closed and then at Cerberus "I'll cover you".

We ran over to Claptrap and he began scanning him "WAIT WAIT I CAN GAIN US THE TURRETS" "access denied" "C'MON BABY GIVE ME THOSE TURRETS" "access… granted" "holy crap that worked" "wait that worked… shit that worked" "see I can do it" he continued pressing all the buttons and I stared at him. "I have finished copying Claptrap beginning to erase unneeded data" "wait how long will that take" "…twenty minutes" "twenty minutes… never mind Claptrap go ahead" "Marik I must dispose of the data" "fine withdraw for a bit".

We continued firing at the loaders and soon he managed to open the door "stairs NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" I looked at the stairs for a moment before looking at Gaige, "he can't go upstairs" "oh ok" we went up the stairs ignoring whatever the fuck Claptrap was going on about.

I stopped for a moment when my head started hurting then felt something going down my check, "more blood" I wiped my cheek and stared at the blood before someone touched my shoulder "Marik" I looked at Mom and wiped the blood off on my jacket "I'm ok honest". She didn't seem to believe me but I ran ahead 'why has my eye been bleeding' 'apologies Marik, Spectre and I are having a bit of a 'disagreement'' 'well stop your making my Mom worry about me' 'just go kill Jack'.

King's POV

I jumped back and fired my pistols at him while he ran "the longer we fight the more feedback Marik feels" "THEN DIE", he charged at me so I released my first restriction sending him flying "why don't you just stop Spectre, Marik is going to release his second restriction any minute now and when he gets to Jack the third restriction will be released… in fact he'll have released the third restriction faster than I could". He released his first restriction and I sighed "if we do this Marik is going to be in quite a bit of pain", that seemed to stop him and he stopped "you may leave now".

Marik's POV

I breathed in before releasing the second restriction and a dark aura surrounded me "huh this feels strange", I held out my hands and noticed that my markings had spread to my other hand before my vision slowly reddened "what… the hell".

All POV

Connor shot another loader before looking back at Marik who was holding his face "Marik you ok… Marik" "kill… I'm going to kill him" he became worried and rushed over to him before moving his hands and blood was dripping from his eyes "I'm going to kill Jack" he disappeared leaving behind black smoke and he looked around before seeing him reappear on top of a loader and slammed his scythe into it.

"JACK IT'S TIME TO DIEEEEEE" he laughed and jumped off before charging forward "MARIK" Connor yelled but it was obvious Marik couldn't hear him. "Jessamine go after Marik" "ok" she ran after her son and he made lifts a group of loaders in the air and slammed them on the ground.

"I'M GOING TO RIP EVERY LAST FUCKER WHO GETS IN MY WAY, I'M GONNA ENJOY WATCHING YOU DIE JACK" more loaders dropped down and fired at Marik but he formed a cloud of black smoke in front of him which seemed to stop the bullets, "DIE DIE DIE" the skeleton formed around him and he sliced through them before running ahead but was stopped by a force field.

Marik's POV

"GET OUTTA MY WAY" I tore through the force field and kept moving slicing down anything in my path, I grabbed a soldier's head then slammed him on the ground before slamming my scythe into his chest and tore it out. I formed an orb in my hand and crushed it before tossing the particles in the air which all opened forming black holes, multiple creatures came out and some followed me while others latched onto whatever enemy they could find and blew up.

I ran along the bridge before a super badass loader came out along with a group of soldiers, "TEAR THEM APART" I yelled and they charged forward jumping on them and killing the soldiers while others jumped on the loader and tore its arms off then ripped out its circuits. I ran ahead and summoned my skeleton and tore down the dropship along with the badass constructor and moved into the vault, "JJJJJJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK" I yelled running down to the elevator and jumped out landing on the platform.

I ran down the path and stopped at the end before seeing him appear "well well if it isn't Marik, it's been a long time since you helped me kill all those bandits", I jumped down and holstered my gun then summoned my scythe "I think once I kill you and your friends I'll keep your mother alive and just torture her how does that sound" "YOU'RE SO DEAD".

I charged formed and brought my scythe down but he disappeared and then reappeared and fired at me but I jumped up and over it then slammed down on top of him, I slammed my scythe down breaking his shield and going into his left arm "OOOOWWWWWW FFFFFFFUUUUUCCCCKKKK" I grinned and stood then grabbed him and threw him into a rock.

I threw my scythe but another shield popped up this time coming from a surveyor "that really fucking hurt you son of a bitch" he fired at me so I rolled out of the way before pulling the chain on my scythe and brought it back then threw it into the surveyor destroying it.

He disappeared again and I looked around before he appeared and fired hitting me and destroying my shield, I grit my teeth before summoning the skeleton once more "DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE" he teleported so I began swinging my scythe around wherever he appeared and continued doing so before reaching out and grabbed him before crushing his teleporter and threw him.

I started laughing and pulled out my pistol and fired hitting him in the shoulder and again hitting him in the stomach, "GONNA MAKE YOU BEG FOR DEATH" I punched him knocking him down and grabbed him before slamming him against the computer. I kicked him in the face knocking him down and I began stomping on his chest "what's wrong Jack I thought you were going to kill me" I stomped on his chest again this time hearing a bone snap and again hearing another bone snap.

I heard a noise and turned around only to see the Vault Key fully charged before losing my balance as Jack shot me, "I'm not dying yet" he rushed over and slammed it in the ground before a barrier formed around them. "MARIK" I heard the others but I ignored them and punched the barrier "JACK GET OUT OF THERE NOW" I punched it again and smirked upon seeing a small crack form but not before a loud roar caught my attention, I looked up at the Warrior and grinned "it doesn't matter how big you are you're nothing more than shit".

"WWWAAAARRRRRIIIIIOOOOORRRRRRR" Jack yelled and it seemed to listen to him "kill", it shot out fire and I moved out of the way and hid behind a rock 'Marik infuse your weapons like you did when we fought, the Warrior is nothing more than a mere pest compared to our power, hmph you could easily kill even if you didn't unlock your second restriction'.

I did as he said and switched to my rocket launcher before firing however instead of a normal rocket this one split into six surrounded my dark aura and all of them hit the Warrior proving to be VERY effective, "HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT" Jack yelled and I grinned "do you really think there's something in this world that can protect you Jack and today is the day you die".

"Marik you need to calm down" I ignored Father and continued firing at the Warrior and I smirked as it let out a pain-filled roar and it went back into the lava, I waited for it to come back up but someone grabbed me and suddenly we were in the air and I was being pulled away from the fight.

"LET ME GO NOW" I struggled against Father's grip before we landed and I forced him to let go of me, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DO-" "MARIK SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND LISTEN" I was startled when he yelled but I turned around and pulled out my sniper rifle and shot the Warrior once more but he pulled my gun away. "GIVE ME MY GUN NOW" he tore my mask off and I was shocked when he punched me "…Marik" I held my cheek for a moment then stared at him "I don't have time for this".

I walked away and clenched my fist "third restriction… release" a sharp pain went throughout my body but I did my best to stay on my feet, I held out my hand and a small black orb formed and I fired hitting the Warrior in its chest. It roared before grabbing a large rock and threw it at me so I fired another orb at the rock which went through it and hit the Warrior once more.

It was starting to get hard to breathe and I fell to my knees "MARIK" Mom called out to me but I held out my hand once more, "die" I fired one last orb and it hit the Warrior in its mouth and it roared before collapsing, "NNNNOOOOO THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING" 'well done Marik however you've reached your limit' I ignored him and struggled to stand but managed to stand up although my legs felt like they were going to give out on me.

"I'm not finished yet" I began walking to Jack and pulled out my pistol "I've wanted to do this to you for so long", he glared at me before I pulled the trigger blowing his head off and grinned 'and now Marik its time for you to become the third'.

All POV

Jessamine hurried over to Marik however she froze when black spikes erupted from his body and he screamed as he collapsed on the ground, "MARIK" she ran to him but one of the spikes nearly impaled her forcing her back. The spikes continued erupting from his body painting the floor around him with his blood "I've waited for this for so long" the King appeared and reached down before grabbing Marik, "I really must thank you Vault Hunters for keeping Marik safe for me" Krieg threw his buzz-saw but it passed through him "only Marik can hurt me, you all however can't do a thing not one single thing".

He laughed before snapping his fingers and dropped Marik inside of it "I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL" Krieg swung his axe once again passing through him but he kept trying however the King ignored him and instead pulled out a pistol and fired at Zer0 who was cloaked trying to pull Marik out from the coffin.

Gaige summoned Deathtrap however three bullets from his pistol was enough to bring it down "you can't hurt me Vault Hunters" the coffin began to close however Marik in a last attempt to get out raised his right arm up only for the coffin to slowly begin crushing it, "now now Marik struggling is really unnecessary" it opened and he pushed Marik's arm back inside then closed it and he put his foot on it, "Marik will make the perfect King once I'm done with him, don't worry I wouldn't have done all this if I didn't have faith in his abilities" "what are you going to do to him" "make him the third Reaper to have ever come this far however unlike the second he will carry on my goals" "what goals" "to do away with those who would hunt us down, try to abuse us, control us, treat us like we have no purpose as if we're just experiments for them to test on… just like your husband".

He glared at Connor and aimed his pistol at him "I never did understand why Marik would forgive the very man who'd cast him down the path he's on, the man who hired the hunters who'd killed his Mother in front of him and the man who'd experimented on him since he was a mere child", a black hole opened below the coffin and it sunk inside along with the King himself.

End Chapter

Well this took a good amount of time for me to write… I want you guys to know something special, when I had an idea for this story all I had was this scene alone. Connor, Cerberus, and Jessamine weren't even thought of, Marik was originally going to have his soul ripped out but then I actually started writing got to chapter 4 ran out of ideas and trashed the story… glad I restored it.
