*Sapphire's P.O.V.*

I quickly got out of my chair after hearing the voice behind me and turned around to see Ghirahim. He had a demented smile on his face as he stared at me.

"Before that wretched creature showed up earlier, I actually had might have gone through with my plans for you. However, it seems like no matter what I do, someone always gets in the way. With my previous quest, there was that just awful servant of the Goddess and that sky child who was called a hero by his people. Those two were the reasons why my first mission failed all those years ago. The sky child defeated my master with that dreadful light sword of his. I should have just killed him when I had the chance." He started to inspect his black and red sword. "But, now, seeing as how my old master was actually reincarnated back into my new master, and has actually been for quite a while, I have to finish what I started for him in the very beginning." Suddenly, he was right in my face. I leaned back.

"So, you see, I can't let anyone get in my way again." Before he said anything else, he was suddenly brought down by Liam, who had somehow snuck around and grabbed him around the neck with his arms. Ghirahim was brought to the floor and was surprisingly struggling against Liam's hold. Father quickly got the sword that he keeps in his bedroom, in case of intruders, and came back, ready to fight at any second.

Ghirahim disappeared into the many diamond shapes before reappearing on the other side of the room, away from all of us. He had an upset look on his face.

"Look, all I came here to do was get the girl and leave. Can't you all just be good boys and girls and sit still?"

Father narrowed his eyes. "Don't go near her unless you want your throat to meet the end of my blade."

I almost flinched at Father's words. I had never heard him say anything that threatening before.

Ghirahim rolled his eyes and let out a long sigh that had a hint of a moan. "You fool. I'm a demon, not a human. Do you really think that puny excuse for a sword is going to do anything to me?"

Father stared at him and prepared a battle stance. I looked around for a weapon, not wanting to stand around and do nothing. Impaz was scurrying out of the room, away from danger.

Before I could find anything, Father and Ghirahim had started fighting. Ghirahim seemed to have the upper hand, giving quick, offensive blows and easily blocking Father's attacks. Finding nothing I could use inside, I watched the battle. I had thought about leaving and finding a sword from the barn, but I didn't want to leave, in case something bad happened. Liam was standing in shock, also seeming to not know what to do.

The next thing I knew, a knife whizzed by Ghirahim's head and hit the wall. Father took a step back while Ghirahim looked in the direction the knife came from. I looked as well to see Impa standing in the doorway. She had a look that could probably scare away Ganondorf himself.

"Seriously? Can I not have a decent fight without any interruptions?" Ghirahim scowled. "I came here for one thing and one thing only! Fine. Have it your way. I can see that I'm outnumbered anyway. However, Sapphire," he spat my name, "I will be back to get you. And next time, there will be no interruptions." He disappeared.

Father let out a long sigh and looked at Impa.

"Thanks."

She nodded. "No problem."

"How is the castle?" Liam asked. "Did it get attacked along with Castle Town?"

Impa looked down. "I'm afraid that the castle itself is in shambles." She looked back up. "Mostly everyone made it out, though, so don't worry about your people. They are safe."

Liam let out a grateful breath. "That is very good to hear. Where will they be staying?"

"Whatever place they can find for now."

Impaz came back into the room. "Oh, hello again, Impa." She smiled. "You just missed a fight."

"She stopped it, actually," Father spoke up.

Impaz chuckled. "I'm not surprised."

Impa waved a hand nonchalantly. "Enough about that. Impaz, there's someone who is here to see you. Most of us wouldn't have been able to escape the castle without their help." She stepped aside to reveal a man standing behind her. Impaz let out a gasping cry and slowly walked towards the man with an outstretched hand. The man smiled.

"So you do remember me?"

Impaz smiled widely. "How could I ever forget you?" She hugged him tightly and let out a soft sob.

"Who is that?" Liam whispered to me. I shrugged. He didn't look at all familiar. He was tall, had lightly tanned skin, slightly long brown hair, and crimson eyes.

'A sheikah?' I wondered.

"Impaz seems to know him well."

I nodded. "Yeah, she does."

"I want you to meet someone," the man said. "You might remember her as well, actually." He looked behind him and made a beckoning motion. A woman walked in. She was almost as tall as the man, was a bit tanner, had short black hair with a braid along the side of her face, and also had crimson eyes.

Impaz nodded. "I do actually. It's hard to forget, considering the two of you were always together. How did you know where to find me?"

"Your friend Karina took care of me and told me what I wasn't able to remember. I decided to come back and she wanted to come with me." He put an arm around the woman beside him, who smiled. "Anyway, enough talk. Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" He beckoned to the room. Impaz turned around and nodded.

"Well, you already know Impa. That man over there is Link, and those two are his children, Sapphire and Prince Liam. They're both sixteen."

"Both sixteen, huh? Then I assume you two are twins?"

I nodded.

"And Prince Liam? Just the one? No princess title for Sapphire?"

Impaz continued. "I will have to explain that story later. Anyway," she let out a cough. "This is Celer. He's my son."

'Son?' I wondered. 'Impaz never told me she had any children.'

I glanced at Father, who seemed just as surprised.

"And this is Madelina," Impaz added. "These two were good friends growing up, and it seems they still are."

"Actually," Madelina spoke up, "we got married a few years ago."

"Married?" Impaz's eyes lit up. "Oh, congratulations! I wish I could have been there to see the ceremony."

Celer smiled. "You would have enjoyed it. It was a traditional Sheikah wedding, after all."

I knew that I probably shouldn't have asked, but I had to know.

"Impaz, how come you never told us?"

She looked at me. "I…because I wasn't sure on what happened to him." She looked back at her son. "But now I know that you're okay."

"Of course I am. It's also good to see that you are as well, and it seems that Hyrule is doing better, compared to how it was during the war, anyway."

"Do you mean the Hyrulean Civil War?" Liam asked.

Impaz sighed. "I will tell the whole story. Let's all sit at the table."

I looked at the dining table and noted that there were only six chairs and seven people. "I will go pull up a chair."

"Don't worry about it," Impa spoke. "I'm perfectly fine standing up."

"Okay…" I took a seat, along with everyone besides Impa. Once Impaz sat down, she started to speak.

"The civil war, as you all know, ended just over 35 years ago. Kakariko Village, along with everywhere else, was in pure panic. This was when this place was still a Sheikah village. We were being attacked by the knights who were following the enemy one night and all of the warriors were fighting, but it was a losing battle. Everyone else had decided to start making an escape with the children. I was out healing the wounded that night when I was attacked myself. My friend Karina happened to be there as well, but I told her to take Celer and run away, fearing I wouldn't be able to myself. Luckily, Impa was there and since she was already working for the castle and all of the other Sheikah healers had left, she was able to take me to a doctor. Unfortunately, though, we were both left behind by our kind."

Father raised an eyebrow. "So that's the reason why pretty much all of the Sheikah race went missing?"

Celer replied. "Well, we weren't missing, but rather in hiding."

"What made you decide to come back?"

Celer shrugged. "We kind of needed the move. You know, a fresh start. Anyway, on the way here, I saw a lot going on. We ran into Impa, and she told us what was happening. It seems like Hyrule always has something going on."

Impa nodded. "Chaos never stops around here. I don't even know how many years of peace we had."

"Not very many," Impaz added. "Though the few years we had were very nice. Anyway, we will have to catch up more in the morning. I am getting sleepy. Sapphire, are the cots from last night still set up?"

I nodded. "Yeah, but is two going to be enough? That's all we have."

"I will be fine. I'm sure I will be welcomed into what was once my home," Impa spoke up.

"I don't mind sharing," Celer smiled and nudged Madelina, who smiled back. Seeing that suddenly made me think of Rico, but I immediately pushed away the thought.

"Well, that settles it, I guess. I will see everyone in the morning. After all, tomorrow is a big day." Impaz smiled at me and walked away.

"You should probably go to bed as well, Sapphire," Father looked at me. "I'm thinking we should do some last-minute training in the morning before…"

"Yeah." I nodded. "See you in the morning then." I walked to my room and changed into a nightgown. Once I settled into bed, I found myself laying there for a while. I doubted I would be sleeping tonight, even if I tried. I wasn't sure on what to do starting tomorrow.

'Well, it seems Kildea is going to be sort of a guide, according to what she said. Maybe she will have some advice.' I started to wonder more about Kildea. Something about her was indeed off, but what it was, I couldn't tell.

Once I finally managed to fall asleep, I fell into a nightmare. It was the same one I had for a while, where I was fighting whom was assumed Ganondorf. I woke up again, but didn't scream this time. I was sweating and my heart raced. Instead of laying back down, I brought my knees to my chest and rested my head on them until I had fallen asleep again. However, a second nightmare about Ghirahim ripped me awake. By that time, I had given up on sleeping and decided to read the book Bethany got me for my birthday.
