Sorry for the long break between chapters, my internet has been funky lately.

Chapter 25

A Special Surprise

That night I dreamed of the past. I dreamed of my parents and the years I had with them. I remembered how we would see the sakura blossoms every year as a family. My father would put me on his shoulders so I could smell them. My mother would be smiling and laughing. Her long silvery hair tied up and her kimono smelled of fresh flowers. She would hold me and sing to me while my father played his instrument.

"Kasumi…."

I woke up when someone called me and gently shook me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Arwen there. I smiled at her and sat up.

"Ohiyogozaimus." I said.

She laughed.

"Good morning. Come, you must get dressed. There is a surprise waiting for you at breakfast." she said.

I smiled and got dressed and fixed my hair. Arwen took my arm and we walked down.

"Tell me little sister, do you know what happens when an elven heart finds love?" she asked.

I gave her a confused look and then shook my head.

"When an elven heart finds love, it can never love again. Now I originally had a different surprise in mind, but I think you will like this one just as much."

I smiled and we walked into the hall of fire. Standing there next to my brothers, were Legolas and Thorin. My eyes widened and I ran forward.

"Thorin!"

I flew into his arms and he laughed.

"My sister I am so happy you have found your family." he said.

I held him tighter and he set me down. He looked me up and down.

"You are too skinny. Have they been feeding you?" he asked me.

I laughed and kissed his cheek. Then he gave me a little push towards Legolas. I smirked and he winked. I stood before Legolas.

"I was about to leave the mountain when Emerald came. Thorin said….."

"I said that Mist would want to see you."

Legolas gave him a look.

"No my lord you told me to get on that dragon before you tied me up and threw me on yourself."

I laughed and threw my arms around Legolas.

"I have missed you." I whispered.

"I know. I have missed you too Kasumi."

Being back in his arms made me feel as though I could overcome anything. I remembered what Arwen had told me about an elven heart. It was in that moment that I knew Legolas truly was the one for me.

"Daisukidesu." I said.

He pulled back and looked at me nervously. I frowned and he looked at my father. Thorin stepped in front of him.

"Tell her lad. I want the best for my sister and you are the best."

Legolas' POV

The fact that Thorin was giving me his blessing in a way, made me feel bolder. I looked back at her.

"I love you Kasumi."

Her eyes widened and I smiled.

"I do, I really do." I said.

She gave me that beautiful smile of hers and wrapped her arms around me. I closed my eyes and held her tight. She suddenly pulled back and looked at me in alarm.

"Your father does not know you are here."

I sighed in frustration.

"I do not care anymore! I love you Kasumi Sakuraba and that is more important to me than my father's disapproval. I would gladly fight him if it means being with you. I would fight anyone to be with you."

She smiled and tears came to her eyes as she hugged me again. I was never going to let this woman go! Not if I had to fight my father and every last warrior in Mirkwood.

Third Person POV

With Thorin gone, Fili was left in charge along with Dis. About 3 days after Thorin had gone, Thranduil came. He walked right up to the throne with an angry look on his face.

"I know my son is here!" he snarled.

Fili stood up angrily.

"He was here, but he left for Rivendell."

Thranduil's eyes widened and Fili regretted telling him anything at all. Thranduil turned on his heel and left. Fili immediately looked to his mother.

"We must warn Mist and Thorin!" he said.

"We have no way of doing so. This is something they shall have to deal with on their own." she said.

Even though they wished they could help, they both knew it was no possible.

Kasumi's POV

Legolas and I were able to spend a lot of alone time together. I spent time with my brother as well. However about a month after they had come, Thranduil arrived.

"~Where is my son?~"

I started to go out but Legolas held me back. Thorin went out there.

"Ah so Thorin Oakenshield is here as well."

"Indeed I am. My youngest sister was born here." he said.

"The foreign girl?"

"Her name is Ithilwen daughter of Elrond." Thorin said.

I saw Thranduil look at my father.

"So she is….."

Father nodded and so did Thranduil.

"Then you know she has been…living among dwarves for the past several years. Along with a dragon."

"Yes I do. I owe Thorin Oakenshield everything for caring for my youngest child. You Thranduil, are a different matter entirely."

"W-What?"

"Kasumi and lord Thorin have told me of how you locked her up. I have heard from your own son how you called her a disgrace to the elves." I smacked Legolas' arm. "You have been cruel and rude to my child." father growled.

"Had I but know who she truly was I would have never….."

"It should not have matter that you knew her true name! It is not the elven way to be cruel or rude to someone they do not know. Especially when she loves your son!"

My eyes went wide and I sighed. Thranduil looked guilty. I took Legolas' hand and walked out. Thranduil looked at me and walked to me and bowed.

"My lady Ithilwen…..I have been rude to you and treated you with disrespect. I ask your forgiveness."

I smiled and had him stand. I shook my head.

"I do not hold any grudge against you. I forgive you, I always have."

He smiled and bowed his head.

"Hannon le."

I nodded and Legolas picked me up and swung me around. When he set me down he kissed me in full view of everyone else. Rivendell was starting to feel a little like home.

"You!"

Arwen came into the room and I grabbed her.

"Arwen stop! He apologized." I said.

She calmed down and nodded.

"Hannon le Thranduil." she said.

He bowed his head respectfully. Legolas pulled me back into his arms and I smiled. I saw Thorin smiling at me and he winked. I closed my eyes and stayed in Legolas' arms.

"I am never going to let you go. If you let me I shall stay by your side forever." He whispered to me.

I smiled and looked up into his eyes.

"I would not want it any other way." I told him.

There was so much love in his eyes, and I knew it was for me. I could never imagine loving someone as much as I loved Legolas.
