A/N: It has been so long, I'm sorry for the wait, but I sent in my computer to for insurance and they said they won't cover it. So I had to wait to get it back still in it's bad shape. I must deal with it until it is time to move on to a new one! And some people wondering when I'll finish, I think it's close to being done. But maybe a sequel. Hmm I like that idea, maybe. And as you can see I'm not the most active about writing. Sorry I have a busy schedule, with work, school, and football.

-Shilo's POV-

We have been flying over the red terrain, the lava, and even sometimes dark red temples for so long I was starting to fall asleep. It's been so long since I've gotten a good nights sleep. Mostly because of his face starring back at me. But this time I didn't care, I had to sleep.

My eyes closed slowly as I watched the waves of a sea of lava, and listened to the distant cries of far away mobs. And there I fell asleep, in my father's arms as we flew behind the legendary Herobrine. I slept maybe for thirty minutes before the horrible scene played out in my head again.

There we were, standing on a frozen lake. Jamie standing in front of me, smiling. He wanted to tell me something, but because I've seen this part of the memory so many times I knew what was going to happen.

I fought with everything I had to stop it, but the fight only made the dream drag on, making it go by slower. His lips formed the first word. I tried desperately trying to tell him to move, but the words stopped in my words got caught in my throat like I swallowed cobblestone.

"I," he said deathly slow only making the dream worse. No not a dream, this happened, this is reality. "Love," he continued even slower. I could feel tears falling down my cheeks. No please move, I thought.

I could see his demise flying through the air, moving in slow motion. Maybe I can save him I pushed him out of the way. Trying to moved was the same as talking. I couldn't change anything. The only thing I could do was watch.

The arrow was inches from his neck ready to penetrate, ready to kill.

"Lov-," a sob escaped from me now that I could talk, since there was no stopping his death. The arrow pushed into him as blood exploded in slow motion. Moving even slower I looked to his windpipe where I could see the head of the arrow poke out. He gurgled slowly on his own blood. When the arrow stopped moving time went by at a regular pace and blood splattered onto my face.

What happened next has never occurred in this dream. When Jaime fell to his knees, instead of mouthing you, he looked me in the eyes ans spoke.

"It was your fault." hearing this turned my blood into ice, made her heart skip a beat, and almost killed her with guilt.

With him still starring at me he started yelling at me, "Shilo! Shilo! Shilo."

I was shook awake by my dad while he was screaming my name into my face.

"Dad?" I sat up and looked around. We were just at another floating red island in the middle of a lava pool.

"Are you okay?" I heard my dad whisper to me. I nodded my head but couldn't get his voice out of my mind.

"It was your fault," he said. It took all I had not to collapse and start crying at the dream.

"Where are we?"

"Close," I heard Herobrine say, as he landed in front of us. "But we can rest here, we need to get some sleep, tomorrow will be a big day. But we should set up a watch."

"I'll be first on watch," I said with no hesitation. I couldn't fall back to sleep with his face and words haunting my dreams.

"Sure, that can work. I mean you did just take a nap." Herobrine said, laying on the ground.

She looked at her father and he nodded at her.

With both men laying on the ground, one snoring the other giving off an inhuman moan, I knew that I had time to think.

First was, why the dream came to me ever night? That was easy, it comes every night because it is my fault that he is dead and this is my punishment. To live it over and over again until I'm driven insane. I can accept that.

Second is, how did the memory go slower than normal? It had never done that before, but then again it did go slower when I wanted it to end. Maybe that's another part of my torment.

With a sigh I leaned back onto my hands. My pinkie finger brushed my dad's boot. In a flash I lost sight of where I was and saw something else fill up my vision. First it was all black then something changed. A picture started to materialize. It was a kid about my age sleeping in his bed. He was handsome but looked vaguely familiar. He rustled in his sleep and gave a small grunt. Who is this man? I thought walking over to his bedside. When I reached him there was a knock on the door. She called this man to get up. Over and over she knocked and yelled. After about five minutes of this she opened the door and said his name. That's why he looked familiar. It was her father. It was him at an early age. Before he knew who he was, what he could do.

Just then I flashed to my real body and lifted I hand from his boot. This made me curious, what if? My eyes shifted to Herobrine then to my hand. Slowly I made my way to his pant leg. Inch by inch my finger got closer and closer. When it finally touched him my vision went black and when it came back I was standing in front of the Enderdragon as he blew a dark purple fire at me. I jerked my hand away maybe to hard, because Herobrine sat straight up and looked right in my eyes.

"It's not nice to look into another persons memories."

"What? I . . . I didn't know." I said stumbling over my words and looking down at my hands.

"Of course you don't know what lays inside. Mind if I show you." I didn't answer and just looked at him with my jaw dropped. He smiled and with one finger touched me over the heart and I fell onto my back while my vision went black once more.

There standing in front of me was a mirror. It was the only thing there in a black void. My first instinct was to turn from it, but I knew that he was trying to teach me something. So I approached the free standing mirror. My reflection was me when I was a kid. No longer in a white robe, a tough look on her face. Her confidence shinning through ready to challenge anybody in her way. But that isn't me now. Now I'm afraid of anybody else dying for me. I want this little girl to be me. I want to be like this now. I want to see how it look like.

Just as I thought that the mirror shimmered and in the little kids wake was me right now. She wore my robes, had my face, even followed my movements, but something was different. She was smiling, I wasn't. I could tell by this that she had confidence nothing is going to make her back down. Not even that stupid dream. I want her to watch it over and over until she breaks. I want her to be like me.

The reflection started to cry. She would start to sob at the repetitive time she saw Jaime die. This made me happy. Seeing the truth, not what I wanted to see the truth.

Then I realized something. I can control her. I can control what she is doing what she thinks. But no, I wasn't. I was just remembering what it was like from my childhood to now. I could control memories. That is what he was trying to show me. Even though I didn't know how I knew that I would learn, sooner or later.

"Herobrine," I spoke to the mirror. His figure filled the mirror looking at me.

I got the idea that she could touch him, that I could find his memory. I walked forward and placed my hand on the mirror.

In a flash I was standing in front of the Enderdragon, but before it blew it's fire I willed it to stop. To see what it was targeting. I turned around to see someone sitting in a chair surrounded by floating metal cubes. I got closer to see that it was Herobrine. But something was different. He didn't have glowing eyes, or a mystic feel. He . . . He was human! The Enderdragon's fire developed me and I awoke with a jolt.

Sitting on the edge of the red island.

.

"Who . . . Who are you?" I asked getting up.

"Me? Well I'm Herobrine. But I figure you're asking about the memory. So that was Dr. Herobrine."

"What?"

"It's a long story. You can wait until we make it to our destination. Oh and you won't have to worry about sleep. That was a dream I put you through. You just projected what you can do. Nice job."

I . . . I slept without having to worry about Jaime. For at least one night I got relief, I thought to myself.

"What does this mean?"

"You can control the memories of others and manipulate them to your advantage. But keep this in mind some minds are harder to manipulate than others." Herobrine said with a smirk, "But you don't always have to manipulate the mind you can dive in just to have a look at their past. It is a worth while power, please don't waste it."

I was awestruck, I couldn't move because of the shock from learning what I could do.

"How do I control it?"

"Now that is a question that I can not answer. I think it's time we left, wake up your father." He got up and walked away from me.

Following his orders I went to my father and shook him awake.

"Wha-," He mumbled, rubbing his eyes preceding a yawn.

"It's time to go dad," I told him with a smile.

"Alright, let's go," he said stretching.

Herobrine started to float into the air as he said, "Come on we're almost there, just a little bit farther."

With that my father rotated his shoulders and pt on a concentrated face as green and purple wings sprouted out from his back.

"Ready?" he asked, holding out his hand for me.

I nodded and grabbed his hand, ready to leave the red island.

He pull me up in to a small hug and shot off into the air to follow Herobrine.

As we were flying I thought I smelled something, so I slowly moved my nose towards my shoulder to my dad didn't suspect anything. When my head was turned so I could smell better I took a deep breath. The smell was me. I remembered that I haven't been able to bathe for so long. The last time I bathed was the day before we left for Sweetvalley. When Jaime walked in on me. The Memory burned into my mind like a hot iron. I had to shovel it down before it exploded in me.

That was when my dad looked down at me. "You okay?" He asked, concern on his face.

I had to tell him now or never.

"No," I replied.

"What's wrong?"

"Jaime, something happened."

"What? Is he hurt, how bad is it."

"He got hit by an arrow." My voice broke and I had to clench my eyes shut to stop the flow of tears.

"Where?"

I held a shaking hand to my throat and right as my hand touched I burst into tears and sobs.

"Oh god, no. That . . . That can't be right. He has to be alright.

Fighting the sobs I told him, "He died in my arms, he loved me, and I let him die. I buried him in ice."

"Is everyone else okay?"

I shook my head.

"Who?"

"Jack."

"God. This has to end. They will all die, each and everyone of them, they will pay!"

"Who?"

"The mobs, all of them." determination was set in his eyes. It was almost terrifying.

I just looked down at the neither flying by beneath us.

I stopped sobbing but I couldn't stop the tears. They just keep falling from my eyes like a river.

Why can't I stop crying? Why won't this feeling in my chest leave me? I kept asking myself until I fell asleep in my father's arms forcing my tears to stop. The sleep was dreamless, though I could still feel the pain in my chest.

I was woken up by a hand on my shoulder.

"We're here," my dad said.

I looked up to see a sea of lava, but farther in the distance I saw something else.

It was made from a red brick, dark wood, glowstone, and red stone stone blocks. It was a mansion that was about five stories high. We followed Herobrine to a balcony that led into a bedroom on the top floor. My father set me down back on my feet.

"Follow me," Herobrine told us. He exited the room from a door on the far end.

We followed him down a hallway that was filled with white wisps floating around bowing down to Herobrine then continued on their way. They must be his servants that keep this place clean.

He walked into a big room, in it held a table in the middle of it surrounded by couches, a fireplace at the far end of the room, and multiple paintings of him defeating a foe.

"Sit," he said.

After we were comfortable he sat across from us and whispered something to a wisp. It zipped away and he turned towards us.

"I'm sure your wondering what the true legend of the great Herobrine is. Well I'll tell you, only because it will give me your trust."

"What if yo tell us then kill us?" I asked suddenly.

"Because if I wanted to kill you, I would have already. Now be quiet before I change my mind, you should be the one to want to hear this more than anyone."

I sat back and crossed my arms knowing he was right.

"Good now it begins like this. Farther into the past, many years from now, I was just a man, Dr. Herobrine. I was studying the fate of the world for an experiment. In my findings, I predicted the exact moment when the apocalypse would occur, thus introducing hostile mobs. So on the very night I predicted the nether opened up and the two worlds merged, which allowed every creature from the depths to rise up and cause destruction on this once peaceful world. From zombies to the Enderdragon, it seemed like it was the end of time. Everyone has long since fled when I warned them of the coming days. Although some people stayed behind, fearing for their lives. Amongst those people was myself. On that very night a very powerful and evil dragon, the Enderdragon, located me in an attempt to slay me. I dodged the attempts and knew that it was time to make my escape. Quickly I headed to what I have been building for many years, a time machine. A machine that would take me away from the dark ages to come and into prosperity. With no time to waste I had to get out. The dragon released a very powerful power energy that is known as enderfire, a fire that is pure evil on anything it touches. And with a quick flip of a switch I was ready to leave this world I knew and make my great escape and leave that world behind. The dragon mad his last attempt and with a mixture of enderfire and the energy from the time machine, I faded out of sight and into legend. I woke up in a plain without pupils and my powers."

A wisp floated in with drinks.

"Wait, so the Enderdragon created you?" I asked taking a drink from the cup the wisp gave me.

"Yes, the enderfire turned me evil for a while until I learned to control it. I came to my senses and became something not evil nor good. I am neutral."

"Then why help us?" My dad asked sitting forward.

"Because the Enderdragon has upset the peace by attacking the human world and needs to be silenced."

"I guess that's a good reason, but how will we find him?" I asked.

"I know where the End portal is." Herobrine replied.

"Then lets go and kill him," my dad said, leaning in.

"You are too tired to do anything with the dragon. You must rest, the over world clock says it's almost night. I will have my servants draw you baths and cook you meal. Then I will show you your rooms for the night." Herobrine said.

My eyes shot open on the idea of a bath. "I think he's right dad."

"Sure, whatever," he stood up and walked to the door. "Where are your servants, I need a bath."

Herobrine blinked and two wisps floated in. one went to my father the other to me. It led me to the door so I was standing by my dad.

"Ready?" I asked dad. He nodded and we walked out the door. My wisp led me to the right and his went to the left.

It led me to a room where I could see steam flowing out of it. The wisp opened the door to show me a small changing room then behind a curtain was a bathroom. I walked in and the wisp floated out shutting the door.

I started to take off my robes when I looked up to see my face. There was blood spattered on it. I just knew it was Jaime's. I threw off the robes and ran into the hot pool of water. There I sat thinking about Jaime's blood on my face. I was looking straight at the wall when I heard a noise. I looked to my left to see it was just the faucet dripping. Above it was a rag and some soap. I grabbed the soap and started to scrub the filth off of my face. When my face was lathered up in soap I grabbed the rag and got it wet then scrubbed the soap off. I repeated that with my whole body getting the last week off.

When I finished I just sat there. I wanted Jaime. I wanted to see him. My mind started to drift off to his face, back to when was at my house after Andr attacked the city. His smile, this was one of my favorite memories. I closed my eyes and just focused on his face. There was a noise like someone stepped into the water.

I looked up to see Jaime, he was in the pool walking towards me.

"Jaime, how?" I couldn't breath.

"He sent me here for you," he said when he reached me.

"Who?"

"Herobrine, he knew that you needed to see me. He summoned me for you Shilo."

Tears formed in my eyes.

"It wasn't your fault," he said as a tear fell from my eye. He reached down and moved the tear away.

I stood up and fell into his arms. "I missed you so much," I told him with a sob."

"So did I, and hey." he pushed me away. "It wasn't your fault so stop blaming yourself, I'm dead, thank you for mourning me but it's time to get over it. I have to leave soon. All I have left to say is that. Well ,Shilo, I love you." he pulled me into a kiss ans slowly faded away until I was left standing there naked. But it felt like I was set free, something in me felt lighter. It felt like I had more power.

When I got out of the bath and put on the new clothes something happened. Instead of white robes wrapping around my body the clothes started glowing. They morphed into the robes but with something else. The edges were trimmed in gold making it feel as if I had more power than before.

I walked out to see the wisp waiting for me. It shot off to lead me to dinner.

The dinner consisted of ham, steak, and various other treats to replenish energy.

From there Herobrine led us to our rooms, my father's first. After we dropped him off Herobrine started to talk to me.

"So did you enjoy your present?" He asked.

"How did you do that?"

"I have the power of time, I gave him the same memories, but transported him here right before he died to tell you the truth. Then as he died in the past he faded from the future."

"Thank you," I told him as we reached my room.

"Sleep well Shilo."

We parted ways and I walked in to the room and fell onto the bed and instantly fell asleep.

When morning came Herobrine knocked on my door. I opened it to see My father behind him with Morion in it's scabbard.

"Ready?" he asked.

I nodded with a smile.

We walked with Herobrine to a door at the bottom of the mansion.

"Behind this door is a portal to take you to the over world again. Once your out of that portal you will be in a dungeon. In that dungeon is the end portal. Good luck." Herobrine opened the door reveal the door.

We shook hands with Herobrine and walked through the portal.

There in front of us out of the portal was a black portal on the ground. With eyes of ender around it laying in a square cut in the stone.

"Let's do this," my dad said, drawing Morion.

I nodded and summoned my two diamond swords.

We walked up to the Portal and just looked at it. It was black and looked ready to eat anything in it's way, but it would not throw us away now.

I'm glad I got to see Jaime the night before, I helped me.

I love you, Jaime, I thought to myself. Goodbye.

Together me and my father jumped into the swirling blackness to leave this world and to enter the End, to face our greatest challenge yet, the Enderdragon, or as my father told me, Shi.

A/N: I'll try to get the ch. Out soon please be patient because football season is coming up and I don't know how much time I will have to write. Love ya Cyclones and Goodbye for now.
