A/N: Scorrose for yellow14, because he faithfully reviews all my stories, and because they are his OTP.

"Hey, you wanna go for a walk?"

"Not really. I have Quidditch try-outs in an hour, and I need to focus, you know that."

Scorpius tried to pull Rose in for a hug.

"Scor!" she scolded laughingly.

"Yes, I know, focus," he grinned. "Why are you so keen on joining the Quidditch team anyway? It's quite dangerous."

She punched him. "Shut up, you sound like my Dad. You'd think he'd forgotten all about his Hogwarts Quidditch team career."

"Sounds familiar."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Your Dad used to play too, didn't he? Wasn't he a Seeker, like my uncles Harry and Charlie?"

"He was. Say, what position are you going for? I bet you'd be an excellent Chaser."

"Nope, I'll leave the chasing to you." She stuck out her tongue and he laughed.

"I want to be a Keeper, just like my Dad. He'd be so proud if I made it to the team, even though he'd never admit that in front of my Mum."

"I'll be in the tribunes, cheering you on," Scorpius promised.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me," Rose replied. "I know how you feel about Quidditch."

"Come on Rose, you can do it!"

Even though everyone gathered was cheering on their own friends, she heard Scorpius yell louder than anyone else. She smiled. He was crazy like that. One of these days, she really was going to introduce him to her family, because he genuinely made her happy. Maybe she could have her Mum meet him first, so she could prepare her Dad a little.

"Watch out!"

She only barely managed to duck when a Bludger came speeding her way. She cursed. Dammit Rose, focus. She nearly missed the next Quaffle, but did a great job saving the two that followed quite easily. To her frustration, she dropped the fourth and fifth, and although she save every other Quaffle that came her way, it wasn't enough to make the team.

"Stupid Quidditch!" she ranted as she strided back towards the castle. "If only Carmiggle hadn't lost his grip on that Bludger..."

Scorpius had trouble keeping up with her. "Hey Rose, stop!" he said and grabbed her arm so she turned to face him.

"You're not stupid, Quidditch is not stupid, and it's not Carmiggle's fault. If you really want to, practice, and make the team next year."

"Pff, easy for you to say," she retorted. "But I'm the one who failed. I did not make it as Keeper."

"Well, you're a keeper to me," he grinned.

"Scorpius!"

"I mean it. You don't have to be on the Quidditch team to make me love you. I love you just the way you are."

Rose's resolve melted away. "Maybe it's not that important after all..."
