The cabin:

"I'm sorry Sweetie but Katie Mordy can't sit at the table during dinner" Margaret calmly explained to the young bird clothed in a pink, sparkly dress.

Rosie whimpered, "But I don't know them" She hugged the doll even tighter. "They may be witches"

The cardinal held in a laugh, "I'm sure they're not witches. That's just in Princess movies"

"But Mama! You call me a pwincess! Well witches come after me!" Rosie gasped.

Margaret sighed, "They're not evil. They're just Daddy's parents and brothers" She gently stroked her daughter's hair, "You'll be fine"

Slowly the small red bird nodded, "Ok Mama. I twust you"

Alice let out a violent scream, causing Margaret to jump, "Good lord Child!" She ran to her daughter's highchair.

Alice was going through a lot of phases, Margaret wasn't a big fan of this one, Alice would scream and shake whatever item was in front of her, the object of today was her highchair.

"Sweetie! You're going to break this thing one day" She lifted the child up, "Shh…" The cardinal smiled at her little daughter, looking at Katie Mordy, "Rosie. I want you to be a polite princess ok?"

Rosie giggled, "Yes Mama"

"And if they call you Rosaline, don't get mad ok?" Margaret giggled, stroking Alice's head.

The red bird nodded. She was both nervous and excited to meet Daddy's parents, right now he was at the airport, picking them up.

Margaret gently soothed Alice back to slumber, "Shh…you're one fierce baby"

Alice was exhausted and cranky, her mom woke her up to put her in a dress and Daddy practically ran out the door.

The cardinal looked at the table, it was set and ready to go, the cooking was done, everything was clean, "I'm so glad this is my second Thanksgiving without Jack"

She walked upstairs then sat Alice in her crib, "I hope they like me"

Rosie chirped along, following her mom, "They'll love you Mama"

"You think so?" Margaret giggled.

"Yep!"

Airport:

Mordecai waited, looking for any sign of his family. His family was very normal at some points. His mother, Eleanor, was a light blue jay with long blonde hair. His father, Paul, was a blue jay with fading feathers, he wore glasses and a tie with almost every outfit. His older brother, Jeffery was a tough looking blue jay, he had blue spikey hair and tattoos up and down his wings. Nelson was the more relaxed member of the family, he had long brown hair that covered his face along with a stench of weed, following him everywhere.

"Ay! Mordo!" Nelson shouted, signaling his little brother.

Mordecai smiled and waved, "Hey! Over here!"

Eleanor wrapped her wings around her son, "Aw! My baby boy! We finally get to meet Margaret and the grandchildren"

"It's great to see you guys" Mordecai smiled, he got hugs from his father and brothers.

"So we finally get to meet this Margaret" Paul smiled, adjusting his glasses.

Mordecai nodded, "She's great and the girls are adorable"

Jeffery added, "So do I get to teach the older one how to be a big sister?"

The younger blue jay laughed, "She's got it covered"

Nelson elbowed his brother, "So c'mon Bro! what are the kids' names?"

"Nelson! I just told you on the plane to not ask their names!" Eleanor sighed, face-palming. "It's just rude"

Jeffery slapped his brother upside the head, "Dude! It's Rudy and Allison"

"Rosie and Alice" Mordecai corrected.

Nelson struck his brother back, "Told ya!"

The tough blue jay argued, "No! You said Remy and Amy"

"No that's what you said! I said Alice and Rosie" Nelson argued.

Eleanor face-palmed again, "I guess your brothers haven't changed a bit. Even though Nelson is becoming a father soon"

Mordecai smiled, "Dude! Nelson! Alright!"

"Yea. Penelope and I are finally having a baby" Nelson smiled, proudly, turning to see his fiancée walking slowly behind.

Penelope was a black raven with three spikes of hair and carrying a swollen belly. She walked up and smiled, "Hi. I'm your brother's soon-to-be wife and the mother of his soon-to-be child"

Mordecai shook hands her with her, "Wow. He's got a girlfriend and a kid?"

Jeffery added, "Yea. With the amount of weed you smoke, I was shocked too"

Nelson glared, "Shut up!"

Paul laughed, "Boys. Relax. Now I understand why Penelope didn't want to come with us at first"

"Very funny Paul" The raven giggled.

Mordecai reached the car and sighed, "Here we go"

Back home:

Paul smiled, "I see you kept the cabin I gave you"

"Oh yea. The girls love it" Mordecai chuckled, getting out of the car.

Eleanor and Penelope headed up to the door, "Jeffery! Nelson! I want you to help with the bags" The mother blue jay demanded as she opened the door to see a little red bird with pigtails playing with a doll in the living room.

"Katie Mordy sees a witch! Ahh! The witch zapped our house!" She lifted a stuffed doll with a witch hat on. "Zap! Zap! Thunder and lighting!" The little red bird looked up and gasped, "Uh.." Two strangers were watching her play.

Slowly Eleanor approached her, "Oh hello there"

Rosie turned and whimpered, hugging Katie Mordy, "Oh…hi" She waved.

"You must be Rosie…" She offered her hand, "I've heard so much about you"

The little red bird gulped, "Really?"

Eleanor sat down, "That must be Katie Mordy?" She pointed to the doll.

"Yes!" Rosie chirped happily, "Daddy gave her to me" She offered the fairy.

The older bird lifted the doll, "Hello my darling! I'm Katie Mordy the fairy princess!"

Rosie giggled, this lady sounded like a fairy, "You're pwetty"

"Oh you're precious" She tickled Rosie's cheek, "Do you know who I am?"

The red bird smiled, "A fairy!"

"No…I'm your grandma" She smiled, "I'm your daddy's mommy"

Rosie smiled, "Wow! What was Daddy like as a baby?"

Eleanor giggled, "Very messy and loud" She tickled Rosie's belly, "You're a very proper young lady…" She mused, "Are you a princess?"

Rosie giggled, "Yes I am!" She looked out the door to see Mordecai and three other blue jays in the doorway. "DADDY'S HOME!" She ran straight into his wings.

Mordecai lifted her up, "That's right!" He turned to his brothers and father, "Hey sit down Dudes"

The blue jays sat down, Rosie watched Eleanor smile then sit down, "Daddy! Your mama's a fairy!"

"She's pretty and nice huh?" Mordecai walked in front of his family and sat her down, "Ok. Rosie. This is your daddy's side of the family"

Paul smiled, "Oh she's adorable" He swooped her up making her giggle, "Like a little sugarplum" He tickled her belly.

Jeffery and Nelson looked over to see their new niece. "Whoa we're uncles" Nelson laughed. He turned to his girl, "And you're a auntie"

Rosie climbed to Jeffery, "Daddy swaid you're tough"

Slowly a smile grew on Jeffery's face, "Well you're daddy's right!" He sat her on his lap. "But Nelson here, is the fastest. He's quick on his feet, and your daddy's the smartest"

Rosie pointed, "Uncle Nelly! And Uncle Jeff!" She clapped her hands.

Paul laughed, "Well what's my name?"

Mordecai leaned to her and whispered something, Rosie giggled, "Old man"

The brown haired blue jay pulled her into his lap and tickled her, "Old man!? Old man?!"

Rosie giggled and squirmed, "No! Hehe! No!"

"What's all this.." Margaret trailed off, not wanting to cause too much attention to herself, "Oops"

Eleanor stood up, "You must be Margaret"

"I…must be" She nervously began, "You're Mordecai's mom.."

She nodded, "Yes. And you are just as he described to us…you're very pretty"

"Oh thank you" Margaret smiled.

Jeffery and Nelson looked up to see her, "Whoa Mordo!" Nelson whispered earning Jeffery to slap him upside the head and Penelope to slap his wing.

"Dude that's our little bro's girlfriend" Jeffery glared.

"Nelson!" Penelope warned.

Paul lifted Rosie up, "You must be the proud mother of this little one"

Rosie kicked her feet and giggled, "Mama!"

"I am" She giggled, looking at her boyfriend's family, "So you must be Paul, Eleanor, and Jeffery and Nelson and…"

"I'm Nelson's fiancée Penelope and this…little one is Chase" She rubbed her tummy.

"Oh you're pregnant! How beautiful!" Margaret smiled, placing a hand on her belly, "Aw! He's really quick!"

Jeffery nodded, "Pleasure to meet you Miss"

"The same…" Margaret nervously replied, "I…just put Alice down for a nap.." She rubbed her shoulder.

Mordecai walked up to her and held her hand, "Maggie, don't be nervous. They're not going to hate you"

Eleanor walked up to her, "So…Margaret, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?"

Margaret rubbed her shoulder, "Well…I'm from Capital City" She headed into the kitchen with Eleanor and Penelope following.

Rosie giggled, playing with her new uncles, Jeffery lifted her up and tickled her, "Goochie! Goochie! Goo!"

The red bird squeaked, "Daddy! Help me!"

Mordecai swooped her up, "I gotcha Rose!" He patted her head, earning Nelson to tackle the blue jay. "OOF!"

Rosie giggled, running away, "Can't catch me!"

Jeffery chased after her, "I'm gonna get ya!" He slid over a rug and laughed, "C'mere Pumpkin" He chased after her.

Rosie laughed, hiding behind her mom's leg, "Mama! Uncle Jeff!"

"She still calls you Mama?" Eleanor smiled, politely.

Margaret sighed, "Well…Rosie's father…wasn't really around for her so…she became more dependent on me"

Penelope gasped, "Oh that's terrible! Where is that man? I'll kick his teeth in Gurl!" The raven giggled.

Margaret laughed, "Well…it's not like him being gone left her any scars…she has Mordecai"

"Mordecai told me she's very smart for her age" Eleanor patted her head.

She nodded, "Yes. Ever since I put her in daycare, she loves to read and write"

Rosie lifted her wings up, "Mama! Up!"

The cardinal lifted her up, "C'mere" She sat Rosie on her hip, "She knows all her ABCs, she can count to fifty"

Rosie nodded, "Yes I do!" She squirmed in her mother's wings earning Margaret to sit her down, "Can't catch me Uncle Jeff!" She sped off.

"She's so energetic" Eleanor commented.

Margaret smiled, "Well. She loves to run but with her asthma, it's more harsh on her"

"Oh no. I never would've guess she had asthma" Penelope gasped then spoke, "Does it run in the family"

"Yes…my mom…has asthma" Lied Margaret. She was doing a good job of not revealing her past.

The blue jay smiled then saw Margaret's necklace, "That's a beautiful necklace"

"Mordecai gave it to me" The cardinal blushed, "On our first Christmas…"

Eleanor tapped her fingers against the table, "Would I be expecting a wedding soon along with Nelson and Penelope's?"

Margaret sighed a little bit, "Not likely…" She walked to the turkey, hoping the question wouldn't come up again.

Mordecai, Nelson and Jeffery were chasing the little energetic bird around, she squirmed as her daddy grabbed her and tickled her, "I got her guys!"

Jeffery and Nelson joined in and started tickling the young girl, "NOOOO!" Rosie cried, giggling.

Jeffery laughed, "Tickle! Tickle!"

Mordecai tickled her feet, "We got you! Silly Girl!"

Rosie suddenly stopped laughing and began coughing and wheezing, Mordecai's eyes widened, "Oh shit! Guys stop!" He shooed his brother's off.

"Daddy…" She wheezed earning Mordecai to run for her inhaler.

Jeffery looked at his little niece and knelt down, "Breathe…c'mon deep breaths…" He rubbed her back, "Breathe kiddo. Deep breaths"

Rosie tried as hard as she could but couldn't take the breaths. "I…ca-"

"Yes you can…breathe Pumpkin" Jeffery patted her back.

She wheezed, "B-but…" She reached for it.

Mordecai fetched it, "Here" He shook it then extended it to Rosie.

Jeffery slapped it away, "She doesn't need it! She can breathe" He rubbed her back, "Breathe in and out Rose. In and out"

Rosie reached for the inhaler, Nelson glared, "Dude! You'll kill her! Give her the inhaler!"

"No! She can do this!" Jeffery looked at her, "Breathe in and out…Rosie.."

Mordecai glared, "She can't breathe!" He shook up the inhaler then crammed it into Rosie's beak, pumping air into Rosie's lungs.

Rosie took a big gulp, "Gah!" She began to cry, her lungs began to ache, "MAMA!" She ran for her mom.

Margaret knelt down, "Sweetie! You ok?"

"I can't breathe" She cried.

The mother lifted her child up and walked into the kitchen, "What happened?" She ran her fingers through her daughter's hair.

"Jeffery wouldn't let Mordecai give Rosie her inhaler" Nelson commented.

The bulkier blue jay sighed, "I'm very sorry Margaret. I thought she could take it"

Mordecai glared at his older brother, "Dude. She's four! She can't breathe without her inhaler"

Jeffery sighed, "Well I thought she could take it…she did seem to be doing well"

"Doing well? She was turning pale! The poor girl's traumatized now!" Nelson added, obviously very angry with his brother.

Rosie's cries began to get louder as she heard arguing. Margaret tried to soothe her, "She's just a little scared that's all" She smiled at Jeffery, "It's ok Jeff. I'm not mad"

Jeffery smiled, "Thanks"

"We should probably keep the other niece away for a bit" Nelson joked.

Margaret giggled, patting Rosie's back, "Sweetie. Uncle Jeffery said he's sorry"

Rosie whimpered, "O-ok…" She was now a little skeptic, the tattoo, strong blue jay now seemed terrifying to the girl.

Margaret smiled, "Nothing to be afraid of Sweetie. Now I'll get Alice then we can have dinner"

Rosie looked up, "Yes! Dinner!" She cheered as she was sat down.

Margaret walked upstairs while Eleanor demanded the boys to put the table together, "C'mon Mordecai! She had your baby and you boys need to start doing chores"

Penelope clapped her hands, "C'MON NELSON! GET YOUR ASS MOVING!" She then cleared her throat, feeling her belly, "Ok…I'm sorry"

Nelson, Jeffery and Mordecai set up the dinner table while Paul had the football game going, Eleanor helped bring out the food while Penelope played with Rosie.

"You're fat" Rosie pointed.

Penelope giggled, "I'm not fat. I just have a baby growing inside me.." She took Rosie's hand and placed it on her tummy, "Feel that.."

The young bird felt movement making her yank her hand away, "Ew!"

Margaret lifted Alice out of her crib, "Shh…good afternoon little darling" Alice whimpered then hugged her mom, not ready to open her eyes from her sleepy world. "Daddy brought his family. Don't you wanna meet your grandma and grandpa and auntie and uncles?" Alice snuggled her head into her mother's chest, "I'll take that as a yes little one"

Margaret walked downstairs, since Alice had slept in her dress, there wasn't a need for a changing, Alice rubbed her eyes tiredly, Margaret giggled watching her daughter's hand go from her eye to her spikes as a attempt to get rid of her bed-head.

"Someone wants to look nice" She poked Alice's tummy then carried her downstairs.

Eleanor nearly began to cry, "Oh she's a darling!" She practically yanked Alice from her mom.

Margaret smiled, she didn't see the need to get angry, Eleanor was finally seeing her granddaughter that was almost five months old. "Oh she's so beautiful"

"Relax Mom. We don't you and Jeffery killing off the nieces" Nelson joked.

Eleanor then looked at Margaret, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to rip her out of your arms. I was just…so excited"

"Eleanor, it's ok. I'm very sorry you didn't get to see her sooner" She took Alice back.

The baby cooed at all the attention, she felt a little bit happier, usually Daddy was the only blue bird she'd seen but now there was a bunch of blue birds. She reached for Eleanor again making Eleanor politely take her.

"Oh Margaret. She's beautiful" She stroked Alice's bed-head. "She's a little baby girl version of Mordecai" She kissed Alice's forehead.

"Hehe. Well she is a bit of a troublemaker, she loves the spotlight of attention" Margaret chuckled, stroking her daughter's back.

Penelope giggled, "Oh she's so big," She looked up, "Is a home birth as bad as they say it is?"

"…Yes" Margaret nodded, rubbing the side of her stomach, "Don't ever try a home birth"

Mordecai nodded, "Yea. It's not pretty"

Paul then spoke, "So are we gonna sit here and talk about childbirth or are we gonna chow down on some food!?"

"Chow down!" Nelson cheered.

The family took their seats at the table, Margaret sat next to Alice's highchair and Rosie's big girl chair, Mordecai sat next to Rosie, Paul sat next to his wife, Nelson sat next to his fiancée. Jeffery sat at the head of the table.

The family arranged small talk, passed food around, had playful fights between the siblings. The Quintel family now loved their youngest son's girlfriend.

"And when I told him about Mordecai, he passed out on the toilet" Eleanor elbowed her husband, "I'm telling you Gals. Three kids are fine. But three boys are a handful"

Margaret giggled, "Well we might try again for another baby but…for now we'll enjoy our little Drama Queen" She turned to Alice.

Penelope laughed, "I'm sure after Chase is out…no more kids"

Nelson chuckled, "You say that now but three drinks later…"

"NELSON!" The family shouted.

"Kids here Man!" Mordecai added, "Save the dirty jokes for after bedtime"

Rosie looked at her dad, "What does three drinks later mean Daddy?"

"Uh…hm. Uh well when Auntie Penny drinks a lot of milk, it makes her strong to have another baby"

The little red bird stared straight ahead, "Can me and TJ do that Daddy?"

"NO!" Margaret and Mordecai shouted.

After dinner, Penelope and Nelson retired to their room for some rest, Jeffery was going to sleep on the couch, Eleanor and Paul were resting in their guest room as well, leaving Margaret to soothe Alice, "Yea. I know but Auntie Penny and Uncle Nelly need your room"

Alice whimpered making Margaret giggled, "I have a feeling you're going to be a actress when you're older"

"And then the princess and prince lived happily ever after"

"That wasn't a story!" Rosie's voice sounded upset.

Margaret laid Alice in her bassinet and headed to Rosie's bedroom, she creaked the door open to giggle.

Rosie was holding Katie Mordy and sitting in Mordecai's lap as he was going to sleep, "Daddy! Keep reading!"

"*yawn*Rose…Can't I-No Daddy!" Rosie glared. "You promised"

Margaret giggled, "Ms. Rosaline shouldn't be giving Daddy a hard time"

Rosie looked up, "But Mama!"

The blue jay got out of bed, tucking Rosie in, "Sorry Rose but dinner is putting Daddy to sleep" He smiled, "I'll read you Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella tomorrow"

"And Snowie!"

"Yes. And Snow White" Mordecai added, "Of course"

Rosie smiled, hugging the book to her chest, "I can't wait Daddy"

Nelson shouted from the guest room, "NIGHT EVERYONE!"

"NIGHT NELSON AND PENELOPE!" Mordecai shouted.

"GOODNIGHT BOYS!" Eleanor shouted.

"NIGHT GUYS!" Paul yelled along.

Jeffery bellowed from downstairs, "I LOVE YOU ALL! GOODNIGHT!"

Rosie giggled, trying to shout too, "GOOD NIGHT NIGHT!"

"NIGHT ROSIE!" All the family members shouted at once causing Rosie to giggle.

Mordecai and Margaret headed to their room, flicking off the light. Margaret giggled, tucking Alice in, "A baby is coming into your family"

"Yea. Chase…I can't wait to be a uncle actually" Mordecai smiled, earning Margaret to climb into bed.

"I can't wait to see the look on your face when we have another girl" The cardinal giggled.

Mordecai chuckled, "Hehe. Oh very funny" He kissed her cheek. "I love you"

"I love you more…and I love your family" Margaret giggled, hugging him tightly.

There you go! Sorry for the delay. I'm trying to get the sequel for ACBU perfect. I already have like 2 people that are going to read it.
