Parking the X-Van outside the prison's tall, dark gates, Gambit, Colossus, Psylocke, X-23 and Angel witnessed Cyclops and the other mutant's rebellion. Scott and Alex were using their powers to burn messages into the wall like 'mutants will rise', 'Homo-Superior is the future.' And things of that nature.
The mutant with super strength was punching down entire walls, destroying vehicles and equipment, using the teleporter's portals to get around.
The mutant with bone control was running around, throwing sticklike bones like spears into the ground, forming tall walls, sealing off all entrances. Sabretooth had begun using his razor-sharp claws to slash the tires of vehicles and carve words into walls and other things.
"Scott, Alex." Warren said "Why are you doing this?"
"I went to Alex yesterday and found out he had a few interesting friends." Scott explained. "Meet my new team: Havok, Strong Guy, Marrow, Blink and Sabretooth."
He gestured to his new team. Alex shot a beam from his hands into the air. Strong Guy stomped his foot hard, shaking the ground a little and flexed his muscles and Marrow formed two long bones in her hands and carried them like spears as Sabretooth let out an intimidating roar and Blink opened a portal next to Havok that transported him onto the same roof as her .
"We call ourselves The Marauders." Scott said.
"Scott, Alex." Gambit was speechless. "This is not you, mes amies."
"I've changed over the years, Remy." Scott explained. "I see now that this is how mutants will survive. By destroying these prisons, one by one. Then we'll move on to the sentinel factories."
Gambit pulled four cards from his pocket. "Don't make me do dis." He said "Just stop this and leave." Marrow threw a small bone at Psylocke, piercing her skin as she cried out in pain.
"We're going to have to fight them." Psylocke said, wincing in pain.
"Gladly." Cyclops said with a smirk on his face and pointed forwards towards the X-men, signalling his Marauders to attack.
Strong Guy ran at Colossus and punched him before he could change to his metal form, sending him flying backwards, hitting a wall. Piotr wiped the blood from his lip, changing into his metal form and smiled as he stood up.
"This is going to be interesting." Colossus said with a grin and ran at Strong Guy, the two strong mutants began to trade punch after punch.
Meanwhile, Angel flew high in the air and then dived at Havok with both fists forward, dodging his energy blasts with ease and hitting him square in the face with both fists, knocking him to the ground. Alex fired more beams at Angel but missed every single one as Angel dodged with the grace of his namesake. Angel kept getting in hits but because he wasn't the strongest fighter, his hits were weak but still hurt Blink and Havok. As Angel dived at Blink again, She opened a portal in front of her. Before Angel could stop, he flew straight into the portal, teleporting in front of Havok who blasted Angel with a strong beam, throwing him to the roof. Angel got up and flew high in the air and swooped down towards Blink with both fists out in front of him, dodging the energy blasts and portals from Havok and Blink and knocked her down.
Marrow had a clear advantage over Psylocke. Her punches and kicks were to fast for Liz to handle. Almost every blow made by Psylocke was either blocked perfectly or did nothing, not being able to hurt the bone armoured mutant. Every Psychic dagger Liz threw at Marrow was destroyed by a small bone. It seemed like their battle would never end.
"You can't win!" Marrow shouted. "Human lover!" Their fight led them onto one of the roofs of the prison. Marrow kicked Psylocke to the ground, yet again. Still on the ground, Liz wiped blood off her mouth with her fist. She was bleeding badly in multiple places from Marrow's bones.
"That's it, you little bitch!" She grunted and shot to her feet and charged at Marrow with her fist. Suddenly, Liz's fist began to glow a bright pink colour, similar to her psychic daggers. The glow grew into a blade of pure energy. Liz punched Marrow, sending her off the roof, letting her hit the floor with a thud and a scream of pain. Liz stared at her hand in awe.
"Woah." She said "That's new." She made the blade disappear before running off the help Piotr fight Strong Guy.
X-23 and Sabretooth faced each other. They circled each other, fists clenched, snarling and growling.
"It's a shame you're not your Daddy, labrat." Sabretooth mocked. "But I guess you'll have to do!" The two feral mutants charged at each other. Sabretooth managed to knock Laura down with a backhand.
"I'm disappointed, labrat." Sabretooth snarled as he stood over his opponent, near her head. "I guess the runt really is the best there is at what he does."
Laura growled. "Never call me a labrat!" She shouted. She unsheathed her claws and stabbed Sabretooth in the ankle.
"I'm more than that!" She shouted. "I've been through more than you can possibly imagine!" Sabertooth screamed in pain as Laura pulled her claws out of him and used a low, sweeping kick to knock him off his feet. She stood over him and screamed in anger as she stabbed him in the stomach once. She pulled her claws out of Sabretooth's stomach, drenched in blood.
"Don't worry. You'll live." She said and ran to help Angel.
Gambit threw another card at Cyclops. Scott destroyed it with a short optic blast.
"You can't win, Lebeau." Scott said as another optic blast barely missed Gambit. "You're too weak."
Gambit pulled out his trusty staff and charged it with energy. "You can fight from afar." Gambit said. "Let's see if you can fight up close!" Gambit ran at Cyclops, swinging his staff at his legs and tripping him.
"Funny." Cyclops said with a chuckle, standing up. "I always thought Jean was the one who swept me off my feet."
"Don't you dare even say her name!" Remy shouted.
He swung his staff furiously at his opponent again and again and each time, Cyclops managed to dodge backwards. "She was twice da person you will ever be!"
"What Magneto told me is right." Scott said, dodging more swings. Left. Right. Left.
"He came to me as soon as I reached Alex's house and said 'Sacrifices have to be made for the hope of our species's survival.'"
Soon enough, Gambit had unintentionally backed Scott into a wall. He looked nervously as Strong Guy knocked Colossus out and Liz fought him alone without fear, making sure to keep her distance.
"Why so nervous?" Scott asked. "Afraid of losing?"
"Never." Gambit shook his head with a cocky grin. He charged his staff with energy and then used his staff to channel that energy into the ground around Cyclops. It detonated, blowing up the wall, throwing bricks on top of Cyclops.
"Give up yet?!" Remy shouted to the Marauders. Havok, Blink and Strong Guy stopped attacking and ran over to Scott, Strong Guy was carrying Sabretooth and Marrow. Havok was helping Blink walk.
"Carry him." Alex said. "We'll take care of them later." Strong Guy nodded and picked up Cyclops in his arms next to Marrow and Sabretooth. Blink opened a portal and the team stepped through and escaped.
"Who were those guys?" Liz asked as Warren used his healing powers to wake Colossus. "And why was Sabretooth with them?"
"Cyclops mentioned Magneto." Gambit said. "Tres mysterious."
"Let's tell the Professor what happened." Angel said and the team returned to the X-Jet.
