I Dont Own the Show... if anything I came up with the Oc... Ok? Ok! :D
Do not send me reviews about fixing my grammar and punctuation, I'm doing my best with the basics! If it's a very obvious typo That I've stupidly missed then please tell me! But be positive, if you got a idea of what can happen as an idea, your welcome to tell it to me, maybe I'll use it and Give you credit!
I think I have an idea on where this is going... Not positive
Skye and Ward quickly closed the door, leaning heavily against it as lightning flashed outside. Luna stood in front of the two soaking adults, looking relatively warmer than they felt. They were freezing, the shirts weren't heavy enough to protect them from the rain or slow down how much time it took to soak through to their skin.
"Ice-cream?" Luna asked, the two adults sighing.
"After we changed ok kiddo?" Skye says grabbing Luna's hand and leading her upstairs. Just as Ward takes a step towards the stairs, his earpiece makes a static sound briefly before Fitz was speaking to him.
"Is now a bad time Agent Ward?"
"Only if you want me to catch a cold" Ward answers leaning against the walk as he glanced around. A habit he had developed since he was a rookie himself.
"It's about Luna, remember that section on the CAT scan that Simmons doesn't know the purpose is?"
"Yeah, why?" Ward didn't like where this was going.
"I think it may be the reason as too why she could predict the weather." Simmons voice broke in "After the mission, I'd like her to spend a night in the lab so I can record her brainwaves and..."
Ward stood, zoning out. They wanted to study Luna? She could predict the weather? He blinked, completely surprised by this turn of events. But couldn't Luna's powers wait, or showed up earlier? If they're beginning to manifest now, it could jeopardize the mission.
"Ward? Ward..."
Ward blinked confused, "Huh? What?"
"Would it be ok if after the mission, we-" Simmons was drowned out by the thunder, and heard a scream come from upstairs.
"I'll talk to you later Simmons." Ward yanked out the earpiece, running up the stairs.
Skye gently tossed the wet pants and sweater into the dirty laundry bin, searching through the clothes Luna had. She produced a shield tshirt Coulson had gotten the child from his last debriefing at the hub and made it inside out.
"Why are you doing that?" Luna asked before Skye put it over her head, "And why can't I take off the necklace?"
"So, if guests come over, they won't see SHIELD symbol, plus, you hardly know it's inside out. Or get startled by your blue skin," Skye says pulling Luna's hair out of the tshirt and over the tag sticking out in the back. She held up light grey lounge pants and Luna began to put them on.
Skye smiled, it was only like twelve thirty, but to Skye it felt like it was maybe 7pm. Skye glanced out Luna's window, hearing the thunder. However, staring back at her as the lightning flashed were a pair of orange eyes, causing her to scream. She backed away from the window, completely drawing Luna's attention to her.
"Skye?" Luna asked quietly, kneeling down to her side as heavy footsteps echoed before entering the room. Skye stared at the window, the eyes gone.
"What happened?" Ward's voice reached her after what felt like an eternity. She stayed quiet for a moment, thinking of what to say. If she said she saw the eyes, in front of Luna, there could be a slight panic. Slight meaning full blown panic.
"It was just the lightning.. Caught me off guard." Skye lied getting an eye roll and a glare from Ward.
"Seriously?" He asked. He rolled his eyes, turning and heading to get changed.
Luna gave Skye a hug and a kiss in the cheek, "It's ok Skye."
Skye smiled, "Thank you sweetie"
Standing, she goes to get dress herself. However, to make her situation with Ward even worse, she had walked in on him to see him nothing but in his underwear. She stood there, face turning bright red as she stared at his figure.
God Damn he is smoking hot.
Ward however, was not frozen in embarrassment like Skye and glared a bit. He snapped his fingers under her nose.
"Skye!" He says, watching her blink flusters. Ward took this moment to pull some jeans on and looked at Skye.
"What?" He asks before pulling a tshirt over his head. Skye felt flushed, the heat refusing to diminish.
"Nothing." She squeaked, surprising herself at how high her voice had gone and quickly rushes to grab some sweats. She hurried to disappear into the bathroom, and once the door was closed, she hid her face into her hands.
"Oh my god, I can't believe I did that."
"I didn't know your voice could go that high"
"FITZ!" Skye nearly screamed, wanting to throttle him. How could she be so stupid as to forget to remove the ear piece?
Coulson sat, watching as his wine swished around in the glass. He sighed, the plane was too quiet without Skye, Ward and Luna. He missed the noise that accompanied the boisterous hacker as she bothered his serious specialist. And Luna, he missed Luna's adorable little face. He missed the way she tried to sneak into his office and look for his comics.
He glanced over, seeing May take a seat next to him and pour herself a bit as well.
"Why the long face?" May asked, not even glancing at Phil to know he was wearing the expression.
"I miss them," He says reluctantly, realizing exactly how true it was. They were like his children, and subsequently grand children.
The tips of Mays mouth tilted upward, "Facing empty nest syndrome" She pressed the wine glass to her lips and took a long sip. When she removed the glass and placed it down, she finally got down to business.
"I paid a visit to FitzSimmons, Luna's developing new abilities. Weather prediction."
May gave Coulson time to let this sink in, and then continued. "Simmons is baffled, she wants to study Luna as soon as she can. But if we pull them away for a moment we could jeopardize the safety of this mission and make us and them conspicuous."
Coulson nods, "We can't pull them away. We can only hope Luna doesn't gain any powers like flying or shapeshifting that can jeopardize the mission."
"Simmons thinks that the mystery area in Luna's brain is related to mental abilities."
"Either way we can't pull them from this mission. It's important, not even for a minute can they come here unless it's for their safety. For Luna's safety." He took a long drink from his own wine.
"You think they'll be able to catch these people."
"I think they might be able to find out what is doing it and the motive, but I can't guarantee that we'll actually catch them after this mission. There's too many variables"
May nods as he speaks, drinking from her glass. She glanced over at her commanding officer and gave a smirk.
"Just be grateful you aren't Ward or Skye. They're about to give Luna ice-cream."
Coulson chuckled, smiling right back at her.
Chapter 25. I can't believe it's finally here. And it seems like the chapters get longer and longer. Well what do you know huh? :D What do you think? Think Coulson is experiencing empty nest syndrome? Wouldn't put it past him.
Ok, few things you should know. August 28, I'm going right back to high school for eleventh grade. Yes yes, I can't believe it either, I don't know when I can make time to write, but I will do everything I can to do it on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur of I am not brain dead from hunger, and Saturdays/Sunday Afternoons. But I'm taking an AP class, I got family and friends, and I wanna spend time with them too. However, I've come too far, I'll get as much of this story done before that time comes. I promise.
:D I'm getting more confident with my new ideas, and it's all thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy. You can thank Rocket or Star-Lord. Or Groot!
Thank you all for your reviews and supports.
