Hello my fellow Authors and Readers of FanFiction; I know it's been about half a month since my last update; however I think you will soon see the reason why it's taking so long to get this chapter out; fair warning; it's long this may even be one of the longest chapters I have written; I even considered splitting this into two chapters; but if I did that you would have to wait till the next update for all the action; so I decided to keep it as one chapter and now it's done; so you can now enjoy it; so here you go enjoy. Chapter XXIV: Reinforcements
Frostbite winced in pain as Danny helped him move so he could rest against a wall. Moving Frostbite was no easy feat; Danny was only able to do it because of his enhanced strength. It was only minutes ago that Frostbite returned from retrieving Jazz; and being wounded in the process. Everybody in the Ghost 101 class had just been introduced to Frostbite and learned just how kind he is despite his appearance. They were all shocked when he came out of the portal in a near dead state; thankfully Frostbite was going to be alright' much to everyone's relief. However the good news was soon replaced with bad as they remembered what was going on around them.
"Thank you for the assistance Great One; but I can take the rest from here."
"Are you sure?" Danny asked concerned.
"Yes; it's just a flesh wound; give me five minutes or so and it'll be fine; it'll take a lot more than a rocket to put me down."
Danny gave his mentor and friend a smile before getting p and walking towards everybody else. His parents were trying to keep the panicked and frightened students calm. Sam was comforting Dani and telling her Frostbite will be fine and Valerie was looking at Jazz's Fenton Peeler Suit. Jack noticed Phantom walking over towards them.
"How's Frostbite?" he asked.
"Frostbite's going to be just fine; it only wounded him; give him a couple of minutes and it'll be like nothing happened."
"Well that's good; he risked his life to save our daughter; I owe him."
"What about your other kid Danny?" Phantom asked.
"We can't find Danny anywhere; he was here before the attack; but Danny's a good boy; he's smart I'm sure he's somewhere safe; I'm sure Sam's also with him; but right now I need to help keep these other kids safe; we still have other problems."
"Yeah like how are we going to get rid of the GIW?" Valerie said.
"Can't we just set Phantom on them; a mean he did take a whole bunch out during the Dumpty Humpty concert; we all saw it." Dash said.
"I may be powerful; but I'm not invincible; I could take some out but they'd just keep coming; I can't do that on my own; we need help."
"Well good luck with that we've all been trying to call the police or someone for help; but nobody can get through." Star said.
"Like I said; the GIW must be blocking the signal somehow; so that we can't call for help; if The President knew about this he would send the National Guard or an army division to take care of them; but we can't reach them."
"Maybe we still can." Tucker said; causing everybody to look at him.
"What do you mean?"
"Well if the GIW are blocking the signal they must have jamming equipment around so all we have to do is destroy the jamming equipment; once they're all gone; we can call for help no problem."
"Yeah but the only problem is we don't even know if they are using jamming equipment; and if they are we don't know where they are or how many there are; it's a good plan but without more details and information we'd just be charging into a minefield blind." Sam said.
"Well the only other way I could think of is trying to send a signal out using a powerful antenna; like the one atop the Amity Park News Station; it's antenna is designed to send Amity's News out across the state; the jammers are probably jamming it too; but in order to jam one that size they would need to set up a jammer near it."
"Okay so that's one jammer location; great start." Dash said sarcastically.
"I'm not done; if I can get to the Amity News Station and find the Jammer and destroy it; if not I can at least disrupt it enough to allow us to send a signal out over the antenna; but it won't be for long; we'd basically have once shot."
"Absolutely not; Tucker I cannot send you out there into a war zone; it's too dangerous." Maddie said.
"I understand you're worried about my safety Mrs. Fenton but this may be are only option and I don't suppose anyone else knows how to hack and use electronic equipment better than me."
"Okay that's true but still the Amity News Station is on the other side of town; you'd never make it."
"I can take him." Jazz said; causing everybody to look at her.
"Jazz?" Maddie asked.
"I can take him; I have a Fenton Peeler suit; I can protect Tucker so he can do what needs to be done."
"Absolutely not; it's too dangerous."
"Mom; it may be our only option; if Tucker says he can get a signal out then he can get it out; plus in this suit I'm protected and I can fight back."
"But it's still on the other side of the town; it would take too long."
"I can fly them; and protect them." Sam said.
"Mrs. Fenton I understand that you're worried and scared for their safety; but you have to look at this; we are in trouble and we need help; we may have a way to do that; if there is any chance of turning the tables around on the GIW we need to take it." Phantom said.
"Mad's they're right; if there is a chance we need to take it." Jack said.
"I'm still not sure; we don't even know if we can."
"Tucker; If I can get you to Amity's News Station; can you get a signal out?" Sam asked.
"Yes; I can." Tucker said with confidence.
"Okay so Mrs. Phantom's going to take Jazz and Tucker to Amity's News Station to get a signal out; but shouldn't we have a plan B in case we can't." Valerie asked.
"I wish we could; but I don't see any." Phantom said.
"There is another option."
Everybody turned to see the source of the voice; it was Frostbite. Frostbite was picking himself off of the ground; groaning a little at the pain which seemed to have lessened and started to walk over to them.
"There is another option Great One; I have the Infi-Map; we can go into The Ghost Zone and rally my people to come here and fight this menace."
"An army of ice wielding Yeti's could help." Kwan said.
"Frostbite I can't ask our people to do that; if they fight there will be casualties." Danny said.
"There are always casualties in war Great One; it's an unfortunate fact and we are at war with the GIW. You have saved your world and The Ghost Zone time and time again; who are we to stand by and do nothing in your hour of need; besides all ghosts have a common enemy in the GIW; they created The Necropathic; the genetic disease that prevents us ghosts from having children."
"But even with your people's help; will it be enough?"
"My people are not the only ones who would fight for you; do you not forget that you saved the Kingdom of Aragon; Princess Dorathea is forever in your dept; she and her knights will follow you to battle; as would Pandora and the warriors of her realm for when you retrieved her stolen box and many more; all you need to do is lead them."
"But to do that I would need to go into The Ghost Zone; leave Amity Park; and I don't know how long that would take."
"Danny; you go; we'll stay here and fight." Sam said.
"But Sam..." Danny started to say.
"Danny listen to me; the GIW are all over the city; you said it yourself we need help and Frostbite's right there are people who will come to help us if you asked them too; if we can't get a signal out over the news antenna then you are the only chance to defeat the GIW."
"But what about everybody else?"
"We can stay and turn the school into a safe zone; barricade doors and windows; gather up all the students; let citizens in and defend this place until the two jobs are done." Jack said.
"If you two are ready I can fly you over now." Sam said to Tucker and Jazz.
"Yeah we're ready when you are." Jazz said.
"Jasmine..." Maddie started to say.
"Mom; I can do this and this needs to be done; don't worry about me."
"No I know you can; just be careful and take this." Maddie said handing Jazz a rod like device. Jazz pushed a button on the side and two beams of green light emerged from the ends.
"Wait Mom; this is you're weapon won't you need it to fight the GIW?"
"You take it; I've got plenty of gadgets and weapons to use on those monsters; it'll keep you safe."
"I'll stay with The Fentons to protect the school; just don't take too long with you ghost round up Phantom." Valerie said.
"Alright; then let's get started; Frostbite open a portal."
Frostbite did as instructed; he grabbed the Infi-Map and unravelled it; seconds later a glowing; swirling green portal opened up in the middle of the room. The student started to move away from the portal as it finished forming; Danny started to walk towards it; however he could someone grab his hand. Danny stopped and turned around to see Sam holding his hand.
"Don't worry Sam; I'll be back as soon as I can."
"I know; but Danny, please be careful."
"I will Sam; you just be careful too."
Danny then leaned forward and kissed Sam on the lips. The students and The Fentons watched with surprise and interest. While Dani just let out a little groan and looked away from her kissing parents. Danny then broke of the kiss before walking up to Dani; giving her a hug.
"You too Danielle; promise me you'll stay safe."
"Yeah; I promise Dad; you too Mom." Dani said as her father let go.
"Don't worry Phantom; I won't let anything happen to your daughter or anyone else in the school." Valerie said.
"I promise you all I'll be back; and when I get back; I'll have reinforcements with me." Phantom said to them all before turning around to face the portal.
Danny then walked through the portal; Frostbite following him. As soon as the two ghosts were inside the swirling mass the portal began to close. With the portal gone Sam walked over to Tucker and Jazz. She grabbed their hands and turned them intangible as she flew them out of the building. The Fentons, Valerie, Dani and the remaining students then got to work and grabbed whatever they could find useful; they needed to make this school defendable and safe; hoping that help would arrive soon.
"Alright everybody let's get to work!" Jack shouted.
Danny and Frostbite exited the portal and emerged inside The Ghost Zone. However Danny felt something was off; he didn't feel the cold air or the snow covered ground that The Far Frozen was known for. It was then Danny realized that he wasn't in the Far Frozen; he was somewhere else entirely. Danny looked ahead of him to see none other than an infamous castle looming over them. They were at The Ghost King's Castle; Pariah's Keep.
"Frostbite I thought we were going to The Far Frozen to rally you're people."
"So did I Great One; however remember that the Infi-Map's power doesn't always take you to where you want to go; but sometimes to where you need to go; if the Infi-Map brought us to Pariah's Keep then there must be a reason for it."
"Really I'm needed here now; Amity Park is under attack; my friends and family are in danger and I'm needed here?"
"Calm down Great One; I think I know why we were brought here."
"Why."
"So you can be crowned king." another voice said.
Danny turned around to see the source of the voice; but he immediately recognized the voice belonged to Clockwork. Danny saw the ancient time ghost floating down towards him. He always kept shifting between the three stages in life; young; adult and old. The clock gears in his staff and chest always moving. Clockwork gently floated down towards them; landing in front of them. Danny was at a loss for words; what exactly did Clockwork mean crowned king wasn't he already king; were they going to put on an official ceremony.
"Clockwork; what do you mean be crowned king; I thought I was already king; you know what on second thought never mind; I'm sure you know amity Park is in trouble and I have no time for a coronation ceremony."
"Yes Daniel I do know that; after all I know everything; but do not fret; yes you are the king; but in order to be king; a king needs a crown; your coronation will not be till much later; however you will need to except your role as The Ghost King if you want to save your home."
"What do you mean if I want to save my home?"
"Daniel you plan on brining all your allies and any ghosts who are willing to fight with you to help save Amity Park and stop the Guy's in White; however in order to do this you must accept your role a King of the Ghosts and lead them into battle. A king must also prove himself worthy; if he is not worthy then why would other ghosts follow them; but you have already proved your worth; when you defeated your predecessor Pariah Dark and saved Earth and The Ghost Zone time and time again; Becoming King is the only way for you to unite the Zone; save your home and show Earth that they can co-exist."
"Okay so what do I do then?"
"All you have to do is walk into Pariah's Keep; enter the throne room and claim what belongs to you; The Ring of Rage and the Crown of Fire; once you have these items; you will gain the title of king; only then can you save your home."
"This is all happening so fast; but I can't focus on that right now; every minute I waste is another minute the GIW come closer to destroying Amity Park; if this is what I need to do to save my home; my friends; my family then I'll do it."
Danny started to walk towards the dark; menacing castle. He remembered the first time he came here; it was for Halloween. He made a bet with Dash that he could make the scariest haunted house; in order to do that he came here looking for The Soul Shredder; the blade that belonged to The Fright Knight. If only he knew back then what taking the blade would do; he never would have. He remembered being afraid the first time he came here; he'd only been a ghost for a few months; he remembered the traps and having to flee The Fright Knight. Then he came here in order to defeat Pariah Dark; it was one of his toughest battles and if it wasn't for his parent's Ecto-Skeleton armor he probably would not have survived. He wondered what Dani thought of the place or experienced when she came here and found Aragon.
But now he was walking right up to it; while others would flee the place in fear of it. Danny lifted his hands and the giant doors opened for him; he didn't even need to push them. Danny raised an eyebrow; maybe the castle recognized him as the king. But he didn't have time to dwell on the thought; he continued walking through the vast halls of the castle; ignoring it's frightening and depressing features. Danny kept walking until he reached the place he was looking for; the throne room. Danny lifted his hands again and the doors opened for him.
Danny looked into the room and was surprised with what he saw. In the room were some of his ghostly allies and other ghosts. Pandora was there along with Princess Dora; The Fright Knight was standing near the entrance of the door, and many of the Ghost council members were there like Buffalo Bill and Davy Jones. Even Walker and The Ghost Writer were here; however Walker didn't seem pleased that he was. The Fright Knight saw him enter and immediately bowed before his new master. Danny heard a noise and looked behind him to see Clockwork and Frostbite walk up behind him.
"Clockwork; why is everybody from the council here?"
"Because the rules state all council members must bear witness to the crowning of the King; even if it's not the official coronation." Walker answered instead.
"Clockwork summoned us and told us this will be happening; although he failed to mention the reason this is happening so soon." Pandora said.
"I'll tell you what's happening; it's the Guys in White; they're back and they're currently attacking my home Amity Park." Danny said.
"So who cares?" Walker asked.
"I care because it's my town that's under attack; its people are innocent and are in danger and my friends and family are there."
"Besides Sir Walker; Phantom has helped us many times; we owe it to him; plus I really want to tear a few of those GIW people apart for what they did to us." Dora said.
"Look as soon as the punk is crowned I'll do what he says; it's the law after all; but not before."
"My liege; your Crown and Ring await you on that pedestal; go forth and claim them." The Fright Knight said.
"It's time Daniel; go forth; claim the title of King and then you can save your home." Clockwork said.
Danny walked up the steps towards the pedestal; where the Crown of Fire and Ring of Rage lay. Danny could feel their power; the last time he felt it was when he removed them from Pariah Dark himself. Danny reached the top and grabbed the Ring of Rage. Danny looked at the Ring of Rage. It was an emerald green ring with a black stone in the center; and carved into the stone was that of a green skull. He slipped the ring onto his finger; he didn't feel anything. Having placed the ring on Danny turned his attention to the Crown of Fire. It was a gold crown that was forever burning with hot green flames. Danny reached out and picked up the crown; he could feel the heat on his palms. Danny took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he placed the burning crown of power over his head.
Danny felt the power hit him; it was shaking his body; he felt like his whole body had fallen asleep; like it was vibrating. Time seamed to slow down; seconds turned to minutes; Danny's body started to feel different; it was changing. Suddenly Danny started to glow in a green blinding light; the ghosts gathered around covered their eyes and looked away. The intense light then disappeared before an echoing boom filled the room and sent a massive shockwave out; sending all the ghosts to the ground. Seconds passed as they started to pick themselves up and looked to see where Phantom stood. However Phantom no longer stood there.
Instead of the teen halfa in a hazmat suit; a being in high-tech armor stood instead. The being was covered in black armor which resembled that of a knight. The armor was dark as the nothingness of space itself and reflective as a mirror. The being wore a cape that was blowing in the wind; it was black with a white interior. They wore silver gauntlets; the fingers looked more like claws; looking strong and sharp enough to tear metal to shreds. The being also had parts around the armor that were glowing green. It wore a black helmet decorated with silver; it was faceless; a glowing green visor and a silver faceplate represented its face. However around the helmet lay a glowing green object; covered in fire; it was the Crown of fire. The ghosts looked closely at the being to see a familiar symbol in the middle of the armor's chest; a D inside a P. The being looked towards them; the faceplate retracted and the visor vanished as the face of Danny Phantom appeared.
Danny took a moment to look at himself; taking in the new armor and feeling his power. Danny looked to see his allies were now bowing before him; they were bowing before their king. King; Danny still wasn't used to that term; sure he knew he was the King; but only know did it finally hit him. He was the king he had all this power and responsibility. The Crown of Fire was on his head; the Ring of Rage on his finger and many of his allies bowing before him. Danny knew he couldn't let this get to him now; Amity Park was in trouble and he had to bring help; it was time for him to lead. The Fright Knight was the first among the gathered ghosts to speak.
"What is your wish my king?"
"Amity Park is in danger; my home is under attack by the Guys in White; we are going there; we are going to save the town and put a stop to the GIW once and for all."
"Then I shall ready your Skeletal Army your highness." The Fright Knight said.
"I shall gather my bravest and strongest knights to assist you my King." Dora said.
"The people of the Far Frozen will fight for you oh Great One." Frostbite said.
"Today the Men of White will face my fury and the wrath of the most ferocious beasts in all of Greek Mythology." Pandora said in what could only be a war cry.
"I suppose I could spare all my extra men; after all the GIW are wanted for crimes against the Ghost Zone." Walker said.
"I can wrangle up a few of my posse's to help yeah out; not much I can do in limited time."
"Aye and unless they are at sea all I can do is spare a few of me crew." Davy Jones said.
"Thank you; gather them all and wait for me here."
"Where are you going your highness?" The Fright Knight asked.
"There's still one more ghost we need; the one council member not here; I'm going to see Tyrant."
"Allow me to accompany you my liege; Tyrant is not to be taken lightly and he's has made his intentions of stealing your thrown well known."
"Very well; Frostbite would you please open a portal to Tyrant's domain."
Lance Thunder was currently hiding under his desk. He could not believe he was in this situation right now. The day had started out so well. First he came to work and did the weather report; his actual job. Then there had been no ghost attacks so he hadn't been sent out to get the news. The day seemed like it would be a normal one; but then the GIW had to come and attack the city. His producer was screaming at him to get his crew and go out there to get footage; however not even a paycheck could make Lance go out into the warzone. To make matters worse the GIW had entered their building and hijacked their equipment. They had set up a weird device in the main room that was blocking their antenna's signal so people couldn't call for help. Now they were all being rounded up.
Lance heard footsteps and held his breath as a GIW agent entered the room. It didn't take the agent long to find him under his desk. The agent flipped the desk and grabbed the poor weather man and shoved him towards the other gathered staff and reporters. With all of them gathered; one GIW agent; probably the leader of the group walked up towards them.
"I apologize for this; but we just can't allow any of you to get in our way; we also don't want anybody using that giant antenna to send for help."
"Why are you doing this; is this because of how The President shut you down the last time you came to the city; is this retaliation?" Tiffany asked; always a reporter first.
"Partially yes; we're here to cleanse the world of the Ectoplasmic slime that is currently infecting it; as long as you don't get in our way or support the ghouls no harm will come to you."
"But you can't do this; it's illegal."
"You think we care; we are doing what needs to be done; actually come to think of it hasn't your station supported Phantom and his antics?"
"We just report the news as it is; that's all."
"Well you keep calling him a hero; we can't have that now le..." the agent said before being interrupted.
"Sir we're detecting an Ectoplasmic signature."
"How far out?"
"Fifty meters."
"Scale?"
"Almost an Eight"
"Can't be no ghost has a scale over eight other than Phantom; he's at least a 9."
Before anything else could happen three people burst out of the floor in front of them. The GIW looked to see two teens and Phantom's mate burst out of the ground. Before any of them could aim their weapons at them; Sam lunged a vine at the closest GIW agent and grabbed him. Jazz charged up the blasters on the peeler suit and ran towards the closest agent. Tucker ducked and made his way to the equipment; hoping to get the process started of sending the signal. Sam held the agent in the air for a few seconds before swinging him around; knocking him into the other agents and sending them to the ground; their weapons scattering. The news team could only watch; hating the fact they didn't have their equipment with them at the moment.
A GIW agent pulled out a stun baton and swung at Jazz. Jazz dodged the swing and brought her fists underneath the agent; delivering a blast from the Peeler suit. The Agent went flying back and collided with the work station of a reporter; sending important papers flying everywhere. Sam finally let go of the agent and sent him flying towards the ceiling; coming to a sudden stop before falling to the floor; a sickening crack of bones followed the impact. Sam dodged the blast from an Ecto gun and charged at the agent who fired it. Dodging another blast Sam rolled to the floor and swung her vines; catching the agent's legs and sending him to the ground. Before the agent could get up Sam delivered a blow to the head; rendering the agent unconscious.
Jazz was currently engaging two other agents; one managed to get a lucky hit on her back with a stun baton. Jazz shrieked out in pain as she felt the massive jolt of electricity. Jazz proceeded to retaliate by pulling out the weapon her mother gave her. She activated the weapon and beams of green light erupted form the ends. She swung it at the two agents and managed to hit both of them. She continued her duel attack; hitting them both each time before she slammed the weapon into the ground and used it to swing herself around; delivering a powerful kick to one of the agents and sending him flying into the other. Both agents came crashing down unconscious seconds later. Jazz turned to see that there was only one GIW agent left; and he was currently engaging Sam. The agent swung at her; only for Sam to doge come up behind him and grab his shoulders. Sam and the agent then sunk into the floor; then Sam stopped and leapt out of the floor. Everybody in the room looked with amusement at the scene Sam had created; the GIW agent was stuck in the floor thanks to intangibility.
"No fair that's cheating!" the agent cried; all he got in response was a kick from Sam in the head; knocking him out.
"Okay we got them all." Jazz said.
"Thank you; thank you, please can we do an interview at some point." Tiffany asked.
"No; Jazz; Tucker do you have it under control here?"
"Yeah the GIW are taken out and all the equipment is here; all I need to do is find the jammer." Tucker said.
"Good because you'll have to take it from here."
"Wait where are you going?" Jazz asked.
"The rest of Amity Park is in trouble; you saw what it was like out there when I flew you here; you have the situation here under control; there shouldn't be much problem; however there are people who need help out there and I'm going to help them."
"We can't help them until we get a signal out; or until Danny comes back with reinforcements."
"Jazz you and Tucker will be fine here; get the reporters to help you out; but there are people out there who need help."
"Jazz; don't worry; we've got it taken care of here; plus she's right there are people out there who need help."
"Fine; just be careful; you know Danny would kill me if anything happened to you." Jazz said with a sigh.
"Since when am I not careful?" Sam said.
With that Sam ran towards the closest window and phased through it; taking to the skies outside the building. Jazz and Tucker watched her fly off; looking for people to help. Tucker then focused his attention back to the equipment while Jazz explained to the reporters what was going on and what they needed to do. The reporters wished they could cover the event; but since they themselves are part of it there was little they could do; plus they did need help. They nodded in understanding and proceeded to help Tucker work on getting a signal out; since they knew more about the equipment then him. Jazz paused for a moment and looked out the window; seeing what amity had come to; she could hear screams of citizens; she could see pillars of smoke rise into the air. She just hoped that this whole situation would be over soon and everything would be back to normal. She also hoped that her family was safe; she didn't know what she would do if she lost any of them.
Danny walked out of the portal; followed by Frostbite and the Fright Knight. Danny took in the landscape and area around them. It looked like they were in a jungle; there was vegetation everywhere; but it seemed familiar to Danny; it looked like the weird plants that he saw in school books about the dinosaurs or pre-historic times. The setting seemed like it was ripped out of one of those books; however the sky was not blue or like the rest of the zone. Danny could still see the emptiness and vastness of The Ghost Zone however it looked like there was a bit of a red tint; like at sunset. Danny could hear the sounds of various animals and creatures coming from the deep jungle. The portal closed behind him and he turned to his companions.
"So hoe exactly are we going to find Tyrant?" he asked.
"You don't find him; he finds you; however he may just send his Squawk Pack to collect us." Frostbite said.
"Squawk Pack?" Danny asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well they have another name; but that one seemed to be the most appropriate. All the Predators are Dinosaurs; they've just gained the ability to morph into a humanoid form when they became ghosts; the Squawk Pack's are The Predators who are or were what your kind calls Velociraptors."
"Velociraptors?" Danny said being reminded of the Jurassic Park movies.
"Yes; they are the smallest but smartest of the Predators so Tyrant uses them for scouting and hunting; they only talk in squawks and hissing except for the pack leader who can speak English; the pack is insanely loyal to their leader; and the leader is insanely loyal to Tyrant." The Fright Knight said.
"Speaking of loyalty; I was told that's what you are to me now Fright Knight?"
"It is my King; my purpose is to serve The Ghost King; that is now you; therefore it's thy purpose to serve you."
"Do forgive me if I'm still not completely sold on the idea."
"Understandable; I know that it will take time due to our past; but know that I mean no harm to you; I only wish to serve."
"As long as that's all you do and not attack anyone or making plans for world domination I think we'll be fine; now how long are we going to have to wait befo-"
Danny was instantly cut off as a bright flash blinded the three of them briefly. A loud bang echoed through the air and the area was filled with thick smoke. The three of them quickly revered and prepared themselves for any attack as the smoke disappeared. When the smoke vanished they could see that in the confusion they had been surrounded by a pack of Velociraptors. The varied in color but they all shared one thing in common; they were all covered in the skeletal armor that was erupting from their skin and they were covered in feathers. They were all squawking to each other; talking. Danny didn't know what they were planning but he didn't have time to fight them he needed to speak to Tyrant.
"I am Danny Phantom; Halfa and Protector of Amity Park and The King of The Ghost Zone; I come in peace I need to speak to Tyrant; it's a matter of importance." Danny said.
The Velociraptors looked at him and began to squawk again. Danny then noticed one raptor emerge from the jungle; its skin and feathers were a bluish-orange-blackish mesh. Its big clawed foot was in the air; waiting to be plunged into its next victim. And its red eyes were on Danny; however Danny could see intelligence in the eyes; they were studying him and his companions; it was thinking. Danny was always unnerved to how smart the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park were; just like in real life; it seemed these ones were smart too. The Velociraptors then let out a loud sound; a mix of a squawk and a hiss as it morphed into its humanoid form.
The raptor now stood at 5ft; it's feet were still the clawed feet of a raptor; however the massive claw toe and bent backwards and turned around; almost making it an extra toe on the heel of the foot. Its feathers have moved and now resembled clothing; covering the lower areas, chest and arms. But the thing that caught Danny's attention was the skeletal armor. Just like Tyrant it looked like the skeleton was erupting form the skin; giving them armor; but this was different. The armor the raptor wore had attachments and changes made to it; mostly on the helmet and gauntlets; Danny assumed they were able to do that because of their intelligence. The leader walked up to Danny; still studying him with its observant; calculating and unnerving gaze.
"I am Squawk; I am the leader of this pack; what business do you have with our leader Tyrant?"
"It's matter of importance that I speak with him at once." Danny said.
"Tyrant does not like to be bothered; tell me the message and I shall relay it to him."
"This message needs to be delivered in person by the King himself; and as The King of the zone you should do what he says." The Fright Knight said.
"My King is Tyrant; I do what he says; but very well it's obvious you won't take no for an answer and it would be illogical to try and change that; I will take you to Tyrant."
Hearing this; the rest of the raptors morphed into their humanoid forms as well. Danny could see that their armor was also modified; showing their intelligence. There was also raptors of both genders; something he could not tell when they were in their dino-forms. Danny figured that if the raptor leader was not insanely loyal to Tyrant; it would have been this lot that would lead the Predators; Danny started to walk towards Squawk; however the leader quickly raised his arm to show a modified gauntlet; and a red blade shot out of it; aimed at Danny's face.
"But know that if Tyrant gives me the command I will bathe the jungles with your Ectoplasm and feast on your corpse." Squawk said with a shaped-toothed grin.
"Fair enough; but know that you would not be the first to try; now take me to Tyrant."
All the students and staff in Casper High and relocated in the gymnasium; it was the largest area in the school. Usually this wasn't school protocol or procedure; they would usually have a lockdown and keep all students in their current class until the crisis was over; however this crisis was unordinary so they had to adapt. Almost everybody was accounted for; only a few students missing; however they couldn't do anything about that now; they needed to work on keeping themselves safe. The staff and students were working together to turn the school into a safe zone for anybody who could get away from the GIW. They had locked and barricaded all the doors and windows except one; they set up obstacles a dead ends. They had practically turned the whole school into a defensive maze. The only door that was not locked and barricaded were the front doors; as people were entering them to get into the safety of the school. They were being guarded by The Fentons; The Red Huntress and Dani. Mr. Lancer; Principal Ishiyama and the other staff at Casper High were with the students and townspeople in the gymnasium.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Valerie asked Maddie.
"We can only hope; until we can get help to push back the GIW they will be coming for us; at least this way we have a chance at holding them off." Maddie answered.
"How will desks; chairs and mess help us defeat the GIW?"
"Simple; they are a mess; if the GIW come for us they will have to get past them; it slows them down; plus they give us adequate cover for when they shoot at us." Jack said; practicing his ducking from behind cover.
"So what's the worst case scenario; what if we can't stop the GIW?" Valerie asked.
"If we can't stop them; and they've pushed us all the way back to the gymnasium; then we open the gymnasium's doors and let everybody out; we hold them off until everybody can get away."
"So that's our plan; a last stand?"
"Well do you have a better one?" Danielle asked her friend.
"Well not at the moment."
"Well until we do this is what we got; and I think we're out of time."
The four looked to see that the GIW were starting to make their way towards them from down the street. One assault vehicle drove ahead of all the others and came to a stop in front of the school. The top opened up and an agent with a megaphone emerged from the top. He turned the device on; emitting an electronic squeal before bringing it up to his face.
"Alright now listen up; The Guys in White have taken control of Amity Park; we do not want any bloodshed or unnecessary violence; surrender now and no harm will come to you; hand over the Ectoplasmic slime that is Phantom's offspring and have all the students come out of the school single filed with their hands behind their heads. You have five minutes to comply with our demands otherwise we will attack and we will take you all by force." the agent said over the mega phone.
The four looked at each other; they knew the GIW were lying. They all knew what would happen if they got their hands on Danielle; and they remembered when the GIW were going to execute them for helping Phantom at the Dumpty Humpty concert. They took one look at the approaching agents; it was a small militia; marching towards them; weapons raised and dressed in reflective white armor. Jack; Maddie and Valerie loaded their weapons; they were only truly lethal against ghosts; however at the right power setting they could do damage to humans. Maddie looked at Jack in disbelief; he had practically covered himself from head to toe with their equipment and weapons; they were practically dangling off of him; Maddie however should have expected something like this from her trigger-happy husband. Maddie quickly looked at Danielle; she didn't want the little girl to be fighting; however Danielle insisted; and Maddie knew that they could use the help. Danielle was a brave little girl with a good heart; or core. Maddie vowed to herself that she would not let Danielle be dragged away; experimented and executed by the GIW; and she was not going to let them take anybody in the school. The agent with the mega phone looked at his watch; and sighed in annoyance.
"Very well; we gave you a chance to surrender peacefully; whatever happens now is on you; we warned you; MEN...ATTACK"
The GIW agents started to charge towards them; however before they could even get close a mechanical shifting noise was heard. The agents looked to see small turrets pop out of the ground before them; they aimed towards the agents and started to fire. The agents quickly retreated to the closest cover and bunkered down. Maddie raised her eyebrows in surprise; then she turned to Jack.
"Jack honey; did you place The Fenton Automatic Turrets?" she asked her husband.
"Yeah; I did it while we were setting up our defence; you like."
"Jack those are prototypes; they haven't been tested?"
"That's why I thought we could test them now; we do need all the firepower we can get."
"Okay; so just how long are we supposed to hold them off for?" Valerie asked.
"Until my Dad and Uncle Frostbite return with help from The Ghost Zone." Danielle answered.
"Or until Jazz and Tucker can disrupt the GIW signal and call for help." Maddie added.
"Dani; how long do you think it will take for your Dad to get back with help?"
"Honestly I don't know."
"Well we're on our own until help arrives; get ready people here they come for another go." Jack said.
They looked over to see the GIW agents were starting to recover. They started aiming their weapons at the turrets in hopes of destroying them. If the turrets got destroyed they would lose some ground and their advantage; Jack and Maddie raised their weapons and started to fire at the Agents. Valerie looked to see three GIW assault vehicles heading towards them; each carrying more troops. Valerie took to the air on her hoverboard and fired two missiles at the incoming vehicles. The first vehicle was hit in the front and it came to an abrupt stop; the second vehicle didn't have time to move and collided with the first. The third tried to move out of the way; but it dodged the crashed vehicles only to be hit by the second missile. The explosion consumed the front of the vehicle and it went flying into the air. Agents on the ground looked up and scattered in order to avoid being squashed. The vehicle came crashing down in a ball of flames; smoke pouring out of it and climbing high into the sky. Valerie didn't have much time to admire her work as the agents started to shoot at her. She turned around and retreated back to the front of the school; landing beside Dani and The Fentons. If the GIW wanted to get to the students and people in Casper High; they were going to have to go through them first.
Squawk and his pack led Danny; Frostbite and The Fright Knight towards a massive clearing in the jungle. Danny looked around it was a small village. There were huts made out of stone and plants; they varied in size; some were small while others were massive; it was like a primitive city. The streets were lined with bones from dead animals and it reeked of death and rotting meat. As they went deeper in Danny could see more Predators; some were in their humanoid forms while others were in their dino-forms; they all varied in species of dino and size. Danny could tell they were looking at him; wondering what he was; who he was and why he was here. Danny saw the clearing start to get smaller and the amount of Predators increased; they were nearing a gathered crowd. When they emerged through it Danny could see who he was looking for; a few feet before him; sitting on a massive throne made out of bones was Tyrant; he did not look pleased to see them.
One Predator who was standing next to Tyrant walked towards them. This predator was a reddish-blackish mesh; it stood at 14ft but was hunched; there was massive spikes and fins erupting from the predator's back; probably the reason he was hunched. The predator had talons for hands and was covered in damage; telling everybody not to mess with him. He wore a skull like helmet like the others; but his was different as his included a jawbone; making it look like his head had been swallowed by a skeleton. The last thing about him was his soul-piercing blue eyes; which were now on him and Squawk.
"Squawk what is the meaning of this; you dare bring these trespassers into our nest." It said.
"I would not unless it's necessary; and I judged the situation to be necessary; this one has demanded an audience with Tyrant." Squawk replied.
"One dose not simply demand audience with Tyrant; Tyrant demands audience with you." The predator said.
"Spine, silence." Tyrant said from his throne; clearly unamused.
"Yes Tyrant." The predator now known as Spine said.
"So the great and powerful Phantom demands an audience with me and I see that your two loyal lap-dogs have accompanied you; I told you at our last encounter that only come to me when you are ready to go to war against humanity or when you want to give up your crown; if it's neither of those then be gone." Tyrant demanded.
"I am here to enlist your help."
As soon as he finished the sentence the area erupted in a booming laughter. Danny, Frostbite and The Fright Knight looked around to see all the Predators; even Tyrant laughing at them. Danny didn't see what was so funny about the situation; but he did need their help if he was to stop the GIW. Tyrant's laughing came to a stop and he rose from his throne; walking down the pile of bones towards Phantom; towering over him.
"So the all powerful Ghost King needs my help; and what makes you think I would?"
"Because we share a common enemy; The Guy's in White and right now as we speak they are attacking my home of Amity Park; its citizens; my friends and my family are in danger."
"Why would any of that be of concern to me?"
"We are trying to make peace with Earth; to show the world that Humans and ghost scan co-exist; the GIW are a threat to this; and they will do anything to see all ghosts and any humans who support ghosts wiped from existence; you want to fight humans; I'm giving you the chance to fight humans; I'm giving you the chance to tear the GIW apart."
"I don't want to tear the GIW apart; I want to show humanity what happens when they mess with us; humans are weak; you alone are an example instead of taking care of the problem yourself you have come to me a begged for my assistance."
"I didn't beg I asked."
"In my book they are the same."
"Fine; then I'm not asking for your help; you will help me; I'm ordering you...as your King."
The Predators in the area suddenly gasped and went silent; looking at Phantom with disbelief. Tyrant clenched his fists; it looked like Danny had struck a nerve. Frostbite and The Fright Knight exchanged worried glances and readied themselves in case they needed to battle their way out. Danny just stood there waiting for Tyrant to reply or react. Tyrant said he would not follow a weak leader; then it was probably time to show Tyrant just how strong he was; he needed their help; and they were going to help him.
"YOU DARE ORDER ME AROUND; I AM TYRANT; LEADER OF THE PREDATORS; THE FIRST KING OF THE GHOST ZONE; I WILL NOT ANSWER TO A WEAK CROSSBREAD LIKE YOU." Tyrant roared.
"Prove it then." Danny said.
"My liege it may not be wise to..." The Fright Knight started to say.
"No if Tyrant thinks I'm weak let's settle it; you and me fight right here right now; anything goes; when I win; you will swear to follow me for the rest of our days."
"And when I win?"
"You take the crown."
"I can only take the crown if I kill you; but you know that don't you; I'll admit Phantom you've got balls." Tyrant said; with a booming chuckled; this amused him.
"But Great One what about Amity Park; what if you lose." Frost bite said is disbelief.
"I won't lose but if I do I'll be dead; I won't matter what happens; do you accept my challenge Tyrant; speak now; this is your last chance to help me...before I make you."
"I do not know whether this is courage or stupidity; but very well Phantom; I accept your challenge; you've sealed your fate."
Without warning Tyrant charged towards Danny; jumping into the air. Danny barley had anytime to dodge as Tyrant slammed his massive fist into the ground where Phantom stood only seconds before. The ground shook from the impact; all present felt it. Frostbite, The Fright Knight and the Predators quickly retreated so the two combatants could have more room. The Fright Knight watched as the fight begun; not knowing if what his highness was doing was brave or foolish; but he knew that he should probably win; if Tyrant won there would be no need of him. Frostbite watched the fight with worried eyes; but he knew that Phantom would emerge victories; he had to after all. The Predators however were all cheering for Tyrant to squash Phantom like a bug. If the fate of Amity Park was not being decided on this fight it might be entertaining.
Danny rolled out of the way of Tyrant's slam. His new armor slowed him down a little but it gave him more protection and durability. Danny's battle mask and visor activated; covering his face so he could battle. Danny raised his hand and fired ghost rays at Tyrant; he was more powerful now with the Crown of Fire on his head and the Ring of Rage on his hand. Tyrant ignored the blasts that were pelting him and he swung his arm at Phantom; managing to hit him and sending him into the air. Tyrant then grabbed Phantom before he could land and started to slam him into the ground again and again like a ragdoll before throwing him towards the other end of the battle area. Danny picked himself up and prepared himself as Tyrant charged towards him again.
Danny jumped over Tyrant's attack. Tyrant slammed his fists into the ground and Danny jumped into the air. He then charged his fists with Ecto Energy and brought them down hard on Tyrant's head. As Tyrant was recovering Danny delivered a powerful uppercut to Tyrant's jaw; before spinning and delivering a kick to Tyrant's gut; sending Tyrant flying back into his throne. Tyrant recovered quickly and charged in rage at Danny. Danny once again rolled out of the way of Tyrant's attack; however Danny felt Tyrant's big; crushing hands grab his leg. Tyrant threw Danny to the ground and started to pound his face in a fury of punches. Danny quickly grabbed Tyrant's hand; twisting it and forcing it into another direction; before delivering a kick to Tyrant's gut. Tyrant staggered back in pain. Danny used the opportunity to land more blows on Tyrant; hitting him on the knee; kicking his legs out and causing the giant to fall; the ground shaking on impact.
Danny then raised his hands and started to pelt Tyrant with Ghost Rays; Tyrant roared in anger and pain as he raised his hands; trying to shield himself from the blasts. Tyrant's hands started to glow and a massive club made of rock and ectoplasm appeared in his hands. Tyrant raised it above his head and brought it down to the ground; Danny barely had time to move as the club smashed the ground beside him. Tyrant then threw a punch at Danny who once again dodged; Tyrant swung his club; causing Danny to jump over it before ducking a second swing. Tyrant continued swinging the massive club at Danny; who was not as fast as he normally was thanks to the new armor. Tyrant managed to get in a lucky swing and sent Danny flying into the air and crashing down to the ground.
Danny retracted his helmet's faceplate to spit out a bit of Ectoplasm that was in his mouth. He looked to see Tyrant charging at him again with the club; Danny had an idea; but he had to time it just right. He let Tyrant get closer to him; Tyrant raised the club over his head; ready to deal the finishing blow. Danny felt time slow down as he quickly rolled out of the way; the club hit the ground. Danny then jumped into the air and over Tyrant; Danny then changed up his fist to it was glowing with green Ectoplasmic energy. As Danny began to descend he pulled his arm back; before letting it go with a powerful force; delivering a powerful blow right in Tyrant's face. The blow managed to knock Tyrant back; causing him to spit out Ectoplasm; a tooth and letting go of his mace. Danny landed on the ground and used his strength to grab Tyrant's mace. Acting quickly so Tyrant wouldn't have any time to recover; Danny swung the mace with all his strength and hit Tyrant sending him flying backwards and crashing to the ground.
"Stand down Tyrant; you've lost." Danny said; thinking the battle won.
"I AM TYRANT; I AM THE ONLY KING; I WILL NEVER BOW TO YOU."
Tyrant then slammed his fists into the ground; and his body started to morph. Danny was surprised that this didn't happen sooner; but prepared himself for what was coming. Everyone watched as Tyrant shifted into his dino-form; a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex; colored with a greenish-blackish mesh; skeletal armor like the others; pointed devil like horns erupting from its head; a maw or razor sharp teeth and blazing red eyes full of anger; hatred and a lust for blood. The transformation done; Tyrant swung his head around to look at Danny; before bellowing out a loud; ear piercing roar of anger; with blazing hot fire erupting from the mouth. Tyrant then lunged towards Danny; his massive and powerful legs allowing him to charge at Danny with impressive speed.
Danny move out of the way as Tyrant brought his jaws down on the ground where Danny once stood. Tyrant then moved around; swinging his massive tail like a whip; managing to hit Danny. Danny came crashing to the ground but quickly recovered. Danny looked at Tyrant; he needed to beat him quickly. Tyrant faced Danny and opened his maw; Danny was forced to run as Tyrant started to breathe blazing hot fire at him. It was only then did Danny realize something; he knew how to beat Tyrant. Danny started to charge towards Tyrant; who responded by charging at him as well. Danny raised his fists and they collided with Tyrant's head; sending it crashing into the ground. Danny looked to see Tyrant swing his tail at Danny; but he allowed it. Frostbite and The Fright Knight watched in shock as Danny allowed himself to be hit; sending him to the ground as Tyrant recovered.
Danny lay on the ground as Tyrant got back up; Tyrant looked to see his enemy unmoving on the ground; this was it. This was the moment; he was going to finish the weakling off and claim his throne again; then he would show all the humans what happens when you mess with The Ghost Zone. Tyrant lifted his foot and set it on Danny; pinning him to the ground. The Predators were cheering; their leader had won. Tyrant looked down at this prey and smiled.
"I have waited centuries to be able to reclaim my throne; and now thanks to your foolishness I will once again be King of the Ghosts; but if it's any comfort to you; you have proved to be a worthy opponent and for that I will honor by adding your remains to my throne; now burn."
Tyrant lowered his head over Danny; giving him a great look at the inside of Tyrant's mouth. Danny winced as his nostrils picked up the disgusting breath Tyrant had; like rotten corpses and bunt meat. Danny could see Tyrant's throat start to glow red; signaling the coming inferno that would end him. Danny however was not worried this is what he wanted. As Danny saw the fire start to come; he raised his hand; pointing it into Tyrant's mouth and fired a cold stream of ice.
Tyrant instantly pulled back as he felt the chill in his throat. He got of Danny and thrashed around; The Fright Knight and Predators looked on in surprise and shock; while Frostbite just smiled. Tyrant opened his mouth to reveal that Tyrant's throat had been blocked with a layer of Ghost Ice. Tyrant tried to breathe fire; but it wouldn't come; it would not melt the ice; he looked at Phantom; angered; surprised; scared and shocked.
"Breathe all the fire you want; Ghost Ice is impossible to melt."
Danny then lunged to the right; making his way towards Tyrant's club. Tyrant noticed this and started to make his way towards it too. Danny however reached it first and grabbed the massive club; he saw Tyrant charging towards him. Danny lifted the club and swung it at Tyrant; hitting his foot and causing the giant to crash to the ground. Tyrant tried to pick himself up from the ground; but it was very difficult in the form of a T-Rex. The ice in his throat felt like a poison; like it was seeping into his boy; extinguishing the raging flames within him. He looked to see Danny approaching him with the club still in hand. Danny then raised the club above his head and brought it down hard on Tyrant's face. Before Tyrant could react Danny repeated the process; he did it again; and again; and again until Tyrant could barely move. Danny threw the club to the ground as watched Tyrant spit out the chunks of broken ghost ice and shift back into his humanoid appearance.
The once cheering Predators were instantly silenced at what they witnessed. The entire area was silent; not a sound in the air but the blowing of the wind. The Predators looked at the scene in disbelief; their leader; their king; their Tyrant was just bested by the Halfa. Phantom took the silence of The Predators as a good thing as he looked at Tyrant lying on the ground. Tyrant was trying to pick himself up; trying to get back in the fight refusing to lose to Phantom. However he was soon slammed back into the ground; he rolled over on the ground to see Phantom standing atop him. Danny raised his hands and constructed a blade made of Ectoplasm; he then lowered it so it lay at Tyrant's throat.
"You are beaten Tyrant; we had a deal; now you and your people will accept me as your king and help defend my city; my home; my friends and my family...or you will die."
The Predators looked towards their leader; they were readying their weapons to attack. Frostbite and The Fright Knight noticed this as The Fright Knight drew the Soul Shredder and Frostbite raised his fists as they glowed with blue energy. However before anybody could do anything Tyrant raised his hand; and gave the signal of defeat; shocking the audience of Predators.
"I yield to you...King Phantom." Tyrant begrudgingly said.
"Do you swear to serve me; to follow my command; to do as I say for the rest of our days?"
"I...do."
Upon hearing the words The Predators started to shout out their thoughts; confusion; anger; disbelief and shock. Danny took one last look at Tyrant before he called his blade back and the Ectoplasmic construct dissipated into the air. Frostbite looked at the scene and smiled; the Great One had won the service of Tyrant and his people; a rare feat indeed. Tyrant picked himself up and towered over Phantom; but did not attack him; instead he turned to his people. With that Spine, the Predator from before walked up towards him; a sword constructed of bone and blue ectoplasm in his taloned hand.
"Just give the word Tyrant and we will kill them." Spine said looking at Phantom.
"No." Tyrant simply replied.
"But; you can't be serious."
"I am; I made a deal with Phantom; fought him for the crown and I lost in a fair fight; Phantom has proven to be more powerful than me; he also only came here to enlist us to help him defend his home; while I still believe that humans are weak and should be held responsible for their actions and pay the price; I can understand where Phantom is coming from; his home; his territory; his family; his pack they are under attack by the ones who attacked us with a disease to stop us from having offspring; they are under attack from the ones who hunt us; experiment on us; the ones who want to see us to extinction all over again; The Guys in White; we share a common enemy; one that we all would like to see wiped from existence; as long as the end result is the total extermination of those monsters; then I will follow Phantom; I will follow...my king."
"Then you are just as pathetic and weak as he is, yo-"Spine started to say before Tyrant grabbed him by the throat with his bare hands.
"And you will follow your leader; or do I have to remind everyone again who leads The Predators?"
"Nope...clear...crystal clear." Spine struggled to say.
"Then prepare for war; we depart for Amity Park; we depart for War."
Tyrant dropped Spine to the ground; the predator recovered and scurried away pathetically. The rest of the Predators raised their weapons and cheered before leaving the area to prepare for the upcoming battle. Frostbite and The Fright Knight walked up to Phantom; who watched the scene in amazement. Tyrant then turned his attention back to Phantom.
"The Predators are at your command; what's the plan of attack my King." Tyrant asked.
"We all return to Phantom's Keep and meet up with the rest of our army; then we go to Amity Park and wipe out the GIW and show the world what happens when you mess with The Ghost Zone."
The GIW were herding a group of citizens together. The citizens were terrified at the position they were in and could only obey the orders the GIW were giving them. The sounds of gunfire; explosions and screams were heard through the town. One woman was holding her child close; keeping an eye out for her husband; praying that he was alright and safe. The boy had no idea what was going on; he clutched his homemade Danny Phantom doll close to him; the plush being giving him comfort. They neared the location they were being herded too; in the chaos someone bumped into the boy; causing him to drop his doll. The boy escaped from his mother's hold and headed to the abandoned plush. However before he could grab it; someone else did. The boy soon found himself looking up at the mask of a GIW agent.
"Look what we have here boys; I didn't know Phantom had merchandise."
"Thankfully he doesn't." Another one said.
"Excuse me sir; that's mine; can I please have it back." The boy said; bravely remembering his manners.
"This is yours; where'd you get it?"
"M-my mommy helped me make it; can I please have it back."
"Sure kid here...CATCH!"
With that the agent threw the doll into the air. Seconds later he raised his gun and emptied his clip upon the poor toy. The bullets ripped the thing to shreds as it exploded into pieces of cloth; stuffing and string. The boy raised his hand to catch whatever was left of his doll; but all he could get was the tattered chest; with a bullet hole right through Phantom's DP insignia. The GIW agents started to laugh as tears started to form in the child's eyes.
"Oh if only that were the real Phantom." The toy's murderer said.
"You're all bad people; Phantom will stop you."
"Well it looks like we have a little Phantom supporter here?"
"Shall we terminate?" another agent asked.
"No; what the hell is wrong with you; we're not monsters; we are not going to gun down a child who's been brainwashed by Phantom's lies; you're on report."
"Y-yes sir; then what do we do with him?"
"Put him with the others brainwashed children; send him to the re-education center."
Two agents started to make their way towards the poor kid. His mother was screaming at them and trying to get to him; only to be knocked to the ground with the butt of an agent's rifle. The boy tried to run towards her; but an agent grabbed him by the shoulder. The rest of the citizens watched with horror as they started to drag the child away towards another vehicle; filled with other children. If they weren't too scared or concerned for their own safety they would have done something. The boy's mother was crying and screaming for her child; the GIW agents pinning her down. Suddenly the ground started to rumble; a scream filled the air and everybody looked in the direction of the sound. They quickly noticed one of the GIW agents was missing. Seconds later the rumbling returned and the scream again filled the air; everybody looked to see a giant vine had erupted from the ground and had the GIW agent coiled in its grasp.
Before any of the agents could react and save their comrade; more vines burst from the ground and grabbed all the other agents. Seconds later Samantha Phantom erupted from the ground; the agents were helpless and at her mercy. Sam walked over to the child they were trying to drag away; she looked to the vehicle ahead of her to see other children being held within it. Sam felt sick; enraged; appalled; she knew the GIW were monsters; but she never thought they would kidnap children; take them from their homes and brainwash them into hating ghosts. Sam felt a rage within her; maybe it was her maternal instincts; it offended her that someone would try to separate a child and their parents. Sam raised her four vines attached to her back and grabbed the back of the vehicles; she ripped off the doors and threw them away. The children inside looked at her with fear; not knowing what was happening; but they saw the doors were off and the GIW were being held by the vines; they took the opportunity to escape.
With the GIW agents in the vine's grasp the citizens being herded came towards the escaping children; making sure they will be kept safe until they could be reunited with their parents later. Sam watched as the little boy ran back to his mother; who embraced him with tears in her eyes. The boy's mother then looked to Sam; and mouthed the words "thank you" before disappearing into the crowd of people trying to get away to safety. Sam felt her spirits lift a bit; she loved helping things; and she was more than prod to have been able to stop this vile act from taking place. However her rage at what could have happened slowly returned and she turned her attention back to the GIW. She commanded her vines to attack.
The GIW agents screamed in pain and agony as the vines did their work. The sickening sounds of popping joints and breaking bones filled the air as the vines pulled the limbs of the agents and bent them in any direction. Soon the screaming stopped as one by one the agents passed out from the pain of having their body broken. The vines then dropped the bodies to the ground and retreated back into the earth. Sam was about to take off to see what else she could do; but he hesitated when something caught her attention.
"Help; please someone help me."
Sam could hear someone calling for help. They weren't too far; they were in an ally close; probably hiding from the GIW; injured or lost; or just trying to get away. Sam immediately flew in the direction of the plea for assistance. She reached her destination; however upon seeing the person asking for help Sam stopped dead in her tracks. Standing before her; was none other than Paulina. Paulina saw Sam appear and a smile came upon her face; Sam was too shocked and conflicted over what to do to move.
"Oh thank you; thank you for coming; I need help the GIW are everywhere." Paulina said.
"Why should I help you; you think that my mate; my Danny loves you; you attacked me at the Dumpty Humpty concert; tried to kill me on my daughter's first day at school and you were sent to a mental hospital."
"Look I understand I may not be you favorite person right now; but you can't just leave me; I need help the GIW."
"I know the GIW are here; if you could stop being a self-centered shallow witch for one second maybe you could see what they are doing; you're not the only one who needs help and I'm wasting my time talking to you."
"You're not going to help me; please I need your help."
"Well when you say it like that...no." Sam said unemotionally.
"You know...your...mate would help me." Paulina said; sounding as if she was fighting the sentence.
"Yeah he probably would so what?" Sam said; she was right of course; no matter how much Danny hated Paulina he would still probably help her.
"What do you think he would think if you didn't help me; what about your daughter?"
There was the sting; even when asking for help Paulina was still a manipulative bitch; using words to get what she wants. Sam could care less what happened to Paulina; she could crawl in a hole and die for all she cared. However Paulina's words stung; what would Danny or Danielle think of her if they found out Sam had the chance to help Paulina but chose not to because of everything she's done. On one hand Sam thought Danny would understand; after everything Paulina had done to her; making it her mission to make's Sam's life miserable at school. But then Sam remembered; Danny would still help her if he was here right now; that heroic heart of his and his hero complex would not allow him to leave someone in danger when he can help them. This was the same equivalent
of Dash asking Danny for help; she remembered Danny did help him when his Dad accidently shrunk the two of them and why Danny hasn't used his powers to get back at Dash. As much as Sam hated it; she knew Paulina was right; she had to help her. Sam flew down and landed on the ground in front of Paulina; but still refusing to face her.
"Fine; I'll take you back to Casper High; its safe there; but don't think this changes things."
"Oh I know; it changes nothing." Paulina said as an evil smile formed on her lips.
Sam immediately felt pain shoot through her back. Sam turned her head to see Paulina had stabbed her in the back with a glowing green blade. Sam felt the blade tear her flesh and dig inside her body; Ectoplasm was already leaking through the wound. Sam retaliated by spinning around and delivering a powerful kick to Paulina's face. Paulina fell to the ground as Sam retreated a few steps; reaching back to pull the blade out of her back. In one fluid motion she did; Ectoplasm continued to pour out. Sam threw the knife to the ground and looked at Paulina; her eyes glowing with a ferocious green. She just wanted to rip Paulina's "perfect" little head off; but Sam knew she couldn't kill her; she wasn't like that; she wasn't a killer; but that doesn't mean she will save her again. She could still feel the pain in her back; she would not last long in this occupied Amity Park for long wounded.
"Seriously what the hell is wrong with you?"
"Nothing; I'm fine; or at least I will be when you're out of the way and I can have my beloved with me."
"I am sick and tired of having to deal with you; you're obviously not in any danger now; but when you are; don't expect me to come to your rescue; you can die for all I care."
"No worries; I would never even dream of you coming to my rescue; only my beloved can do that; but you right; I'm not the one in danger."
Before Sam could even respond a thunderous bang echoed through the streets. Sam felt time slow down as she felt her shoulder suddenly flash in burning pain. She then felt herself falling forward by the force. Sam looked to see that someone had shot her in the shoulder; one of the GIW new weapons; the bullets coated in Ectoplasm; the ones that can hurt ghosts. She looked to see that someone had shot clean through her shoulder; Sam started to turn around; but before she could see anything; the sound filled the air and the pain was now near her chest. Sam heard Paulina scream in pain; the second bullet had gone through Sam's chest and hit Paulina in the arm. Sam felt herself fall to the ground; she found herself looking up at the sun in the sky; as smoke form the many fires across the town tried to pollute it. Sam tried to move; but she was so tired and sore she found that she couldn't; it was like she was paralyzed.
Sam didn't know what to do; she was lying on the ground; Ectoplasm pouring out of her wounds; unable to move. Sam then heard the sound of footsteps approaching her. She was able to lift her head just enough to see a squad of GIW agents surrounding her with their weapons aimed on her. She then spotted a man in a high-tech black and silver suit walked up towards her; he had some weird looking rifle in his hands; obviously he was her attacker. His helmet bore a white skull painting and its eyes glowed a bright green; almost like Danny's. He was soon joined by another GIW agent; however this one was very familiar; soon Sam found herself staring at Agent O.
"There; you can tell your Boss that I've given you Phantom's Mate; he can expect Phantom himself and his offspring soon." The bounty hunter said.
"Very good work; this is a very nice catch; I can't wait to get her under a scalpel."
"You don't have to worry about her expiring on you; the knife the girl stabbed her with didn't cause any fatal damage; it was also coated in a paralysis agent; and my shots didn't do any damage other then wound her; I made sure of it."
"Perfect but just to be sure we still going to freeze her so she can't escape."
"I don't care what you do."
"Besides she's part plant; they can't stand the cold."
Agent O motioned to some agents behind him; they were different looking. They had strange looking guns with hoses that attached them to glowing blue tanks on their backs. They walked up to her and aimed the weapon at her; cold mist pouring out of the nozzle's. Sam immediately felt a painful chill surround her as the mist touched her skin. She felt like the sun had been stripped from her as the cold over took her. Sam could do nothing as her body started to shut down and come to a stop; the only thing Sam could do was be aware of her surroundings; being able to do nothing but see and hear and feel the pain that her body was in.
"Thank you for your help in capturing this putrid slime." Agent O said to Paulina.
"You're going to kill her right? Tear her apart from; melt her down; gorge her eyes out; drain her of energy; you know end her?" Paulina said looking at Sam.
"We're going to experiment on her; so...yeah eventually."
"Good; you hear that you bitch; I've finally taken care of you; and know that you're out of the way; Phantom is no longer under your control and he can finally return to me."
"Yeah...about that." Agent O said.
Agent O suddenly grabbed Paulina by the shoulder and brought her closer to him. Seconds later a loud bang erupted through the streets. Paulina felt her body start to grow cold; she looked down to see Agent O aiming a smoking gun at her stomach; and crimson red blood seeping through her pink top. Paulina couldn't speak; her body was shaking; she looked up at the Agent O with shock and disbelief. Sam could only watch as the GIW agents started to drag her away; but she didn't feel sorry for her; she got what she deserved. Paulina's body then gave out and she fell to the pavement; Agent O standing over her.
"We are thankful you helped in capturing Phantom's Mate; but we can't have you going to Phantom either; it's disgusting; you're a ghost lover; a ghost lover is just as vile as a ghost. You know what it's called; it's called Necrophilia; and there are laws against it; just take comfort knowing that you helped make the world a better place." Agent O said.
With that Agent O holstered his weapon and turned around; heading towards the others. Paulina watched as they threw a net over Phantom's Mate and hauled her into the back of a GIW assault vehicle. Paulina could feel the warm; thick liquid that was her blood flowing out of her body. All she could do was lie on her back; pressing her hands against her stomach; remember whatever she could about first aid from those stupid classes in school and wait. She felt herself growing tired; her eyes were becoming heavy. Paulina looked around; taking in her surroundings; the sound of chaos was around her; the smell of smoke; fire and blood in the air and the blue sky was becoming polluted with black smoke. Paulina then felt her world go black as her eyes closed; the last thing she heard was the sound of the GIW leaving with their captured prey.
And done...(dodges gunfire) I know many of you are going to be ticked that I ended it there (doges a rocket launcher). But this chapter had to end look at it I think this is the longest I've written. So yeah there you go got intense at the end; what will happen will Amity Park be saved; well sadly you'll have to wait and see in the next chapter which will basically be fighting; fighting and more fighting; it's basically going to be one long fighting chapter and by long I think I mean long I mean look at this one. Okay now before I get to reviews a couple things since last time. Yeah one of the main reason it took so long to get this chapter out was the length; it will most likely be another slight wait until the next one; but I don't think anyone will complain since it's action and it will be worth it. Secondly Avengers and Mad Max; everybody should go see Mad Max; films like that just aren't made enough nay more 90% of the effects in the film are practical; it's a great film in a time where everybody overdose it with CGI; also one of the best action movies to have come out in the last two decades. Avengers; well I don't really need to say anything; based on the box office numbers I assume everybody has seen it by now; bring on Ant-Man and Civil War. Uh I don't think there is anything else to talk about so I will get right into answering reviews.
