"This is bad, how can he take down that dragon?" S. Luna asked nervously. "It has 4000 attack points and 4000 defense points so Chaos King Archfiend can't beat it."
"That's true, but we need to trust that Jack has something planned to win." S. Yusei said.
"I hope you're right Yusei, otherwise things are going to be really bad." S. Crow said.
"Your friends are correct, I attack Chaos King Archfiend with Malefic Paradox Dragon." Paradox said.
"Big mistake, I play the trap card Prideful Roar." S. Jack said. "Now I pay 1400 life points, and in exchange my Chaos King Archfiend gains 1700 attack points."
"In other words your monster is stronger than mine." Paradox said. "It's just a shame you didn't expect this card, Malefic Paradigm Shift."
"Wait, what does that card do?" Jack asked.
"I can activate this card when Malefic Paradox Dragon is destroyed, I pay half of my life points in order to summon Malefic Truth Dragon to the field." Paradox said as his ace monster appeared. "I'll end my turn with that."
S. Jack 2600 Paradox 1800: "It's my move, so I'll start by setting three cards facedown, and next I'll summon my Magic Hole Golem." S. Jack said.
"A monster that weak at this point summoning him is a huge mistake." Paradox said.
"I play Magic Hole Golem's ability, now I cut Chaos King Archfiend's attack points in half, and now he can attack you directly." S. Jack said.
"Fine, this duel is as good as done on my next turn." Paradox said calmly.
"I severely doubt that, I end my turn." S. Jack said.
"Nice, Jack won." S. Crow said.
"Yeah, there's nothing Paradox can do to stop him at this point." S. Yusei said. "Good work Jack."
S. Jack 2600 Paradox 500: "I would hate to disagree with you, but Jack won't be winning anything." Paradox said calmly. "I start by activating the spell card Malefic Curse, now if Jack tries to play any facedown cards while I have a Malefic monster on the field he loses life points equal to the attack points of a monster on his field that I choose."
"So in other words I can't use any facedown cards or you'll win by dealing 2600 points of damage." S. Jack said. "That's just great."
"There is an upside, I have to attack the monster that I chose for Malefic Curse, and since you have 2600 life points my attack won't be able to defeat you." Paradox said. "However my Malefic Truth Dragon has a special ability, whenever a monster you control is destroyed, all other monsters on your side of the field are also destroyed, and for each one you lose 800 life points."
"Wait, that means I'll lose." S. Jack said nervously.
"Exactly, I attack Chaos King Archfiend with Malefic Truth Dragon." Paradox said. "You lose Jack Atlas."
"Not quite, I play a trap card." S. Jack said.
"Did you forget, by playing a trap to stop this attack you lose all your remaining life points." Paradox said.
"Not this time, I played the trap after you destroyed Chaos King Archfiend, I'm playing it against your effect." S. Jack said.
"What?" Paradox asked in surprise.
"I play Archfiends Legacy, now I can negate the damage I would take from your effect, and as a bonus, I can summon monsters from my deck equal to the number I had at the beginning of this turn, so I summon Red Dragon Archfiend and Creation Resonator in place of Chaos King Archfiend and Magic Hole Golem." S. Jack said. "This is where the duel ends."
"I have no other choice so I'll end my move, but Jack we both know that my Malefic Truth Dragon has more attack points than your Red Dragon Archfiend." Paradox said.
S. Jack 200 Paradox 500: "It's my move, so I'll start by summoning the tuner monster Red Nova, and now I double tune Creation Resonator, and Red Nova with Red Dragon Archfiend in order to synchro summon my Red Nova Dragon." S. Jack said.
"That's an impressive monster Jack, but it still falls 1500 attack points short of matching my dragon." Paradox said confidently.
"Not quite, Red Nova Dragon gains 500 attack points for every tuner monster in my graveyard, and I have Creation Resonator, Red Nova, and Dark Resonator." S. Jack said. "Our monsters are completely equal, now I play the second trap card I set, I play Scar Red Cocoon and equip it to Red Nova Dragon, now I attack with Red Nova Dragon."
"Malefic Truth Dragon counter attack." Paradox said just before the two dragons destroyed each other. "You made one mistake Jack, my turn is about to start and I can summon a new monster to wipe out your life points."
"During the end of the turn Red Nova Dragon that was equipped with Scar Red Cocoon is destroyed, I can summon Red Dragon Archfiend from my graveyard." S. Jack said as his monster reappeared.
"Fine, but now that it's my move, I'll add a Malefic Card to my hand, now I remove Cyber End Dragon from my extra deck in order to summon Malefic Cyber End Dragon."Paradox said. "This is the final attack of the duel Jack, you lose."
"You're half right Paradox, I play my final trap card, Archfiend's Aura. Now I remove one monster with Archfiend in its name in my graveyard from play, and in exchange a monster on my field gains its attack points." S. Jack said. "Now I remove Chaos King Archfiend, Red Dragon Archfiend destroy Malefic Cyber End Dragon and end this duel."
"Impressive Jack, but you won't win this battle, the others are just as skilled as I am, and even if you manage to win against Aporia and Antinomy you'll have no chance against Zone." Paradox said calmly. "You have no idea what you're going up against."
"That's where you're wrong, we know exactly what we're up against, and we will take down Zone." S. Jack said confidently.
