Thalia's POV
As Annabeth made her way through the crowd, I saw Percy tense up. It wasn't easy getting over the person you loved for so long. It hurt more for Percy because his fatal flaw was loyalty and Annabeth rejected him and lied to him.
"Who can you joke about death with demigods?! That's like saying their whole like if a joke," Annabeth said as she scolded Percy.
"How can you say to him when you're the one who caused everything!?" I yelled back. I was not going to just sit back and watch Percy get yelled at by his past love.
Annabeth looked surprised.
"What the Hades did I start? It's not my fault he turned out to be a careless joker." She said as she smirked.
I looked over at Percy and he was pale and stiff as a rod.
"Who can you be suck a bitch! Didn't you love him once? We all knew that he was a child stuck in a 19 year old body. You of all people should know that better than anyone else in the whole world." I screamed. I was sick and tired of her games. How could someone be so cruel to the one their used to love?
"It was a joke. If you aren't mature enough to handle it, then it's not my problem. We just thought that the camp could use a mean prank after what they caused me and because you constantly try to flirt with the hunters," Percy said in a cold sinister tone.
Damn he could be scary when he's pissed.
"After what they caused you? What did they do? I was the one the dumped your sorry ass. I was the one that went out with Justin. I was the one that caused you to leave camp. What did they do? Nothing!" Annabeth said as she crossed her arms across her chest.
Holy hephestus. Shit just got real!
"That's exactly right. They did nothing. They didn't defend me or asked me to stay. Not even the ones who I've known for years. They did nothing from stopping me from leaving," Percy said coldly, then turn and flew away.
I looked back at the daughter of Athena and the rest of the hunters gave her an evil glare as they stood behind me.
I walked up to her and slapped her right in the face with all of my power. She gasped and held her cheek.
"You're a bitch, Annabeth Chase. Percy is the greatest man ever to walk on this planet and you dumped him for a blond idiot. One day, you'll regret leaving Percy but he'll already be gone," I snarled at her as I turned around and went off to find Percy. The hunters gave one last glare as they turned to leave, trailing after me.
As I walked away, I couldn't help but smile. I have wanted to do that for over 2 years.
Artemis' POV
I watched off to the side, watching the scene in front of me unfold. Percy and the hunters had really become a family. They were defending him against his past lover. I was very impressed. 3 years ago, if you asked me that Percy would have joined our family, I would have hunted him down and kill him but now, I'm happy.
Percy's POV
After I flew away, I went to the arena and started hacking and slashing at the dummies. They were too easy and I easily ruined one in about three minutes, I needed I real target.
My shoulders slumped and my wings drooped. I cant believe that Annabeth said that. After all we've been through. From what she said, I would have guess that she never loved me.
Just then, Thalia and the rest of the hunters walked in.
"Tired of the camp dummies?" Thalia said.
I looked up, "Yea those campers are really getting on my nerves."
The hunter exploded in giggled. After a few minutes Elizabeth composed herself and said, "No Percy, the straw dummies."
"Ohhhhhhhh. Yea they are too easy. I wanted to work on my stamina." I said as I chuckled a bit. I could be a bit oblivious.
"Need a hand? We could all shoot arrows at you," Thalia said as she picked up her bow.
I would probably get my assed whooped but I didn't care. I said sure and I got ready. I raised Riptide and covered it in flames. I nodded at the hunters, telling them that I was ready.
They spread out in a half circle around me and they set of arrow after arrow in a wave motion so I was constantly moving. We kept this up until they all ran out of arrow. I blocked about three hundred arrows in 10 minutes and I didn't even break a sweat. I was doing pretty good.
"Well, you've certainly improved you stamina." Artemis said as she walked towards us.
I didn't even notice that she was there.
After a while, we all went and did random things. Some of us went and wandered around and some of us went to the archery range. I went with them to the archery range. Since I would coat my weapons with water to make it work better, I was now pretty good with the bow and arrow. I was meaning to practice with the hunters at their camp but we got so busy catching up that I totally forgot. I practiced a little in the City of Light but my bow was better than the one that they gave me to use up there. It was . . . white. That totally clashes with my style.
