Chapter Twenty-Five
I will not go out like this! Soul Storm snarled and ran at the silver female.
"Mystical unicorn Pegasus!"
"Black night dragon!"
"Ruby phoenix!"
Each statue in turn shot out a bright white light hitting the female, Soul Storm shrieked before exploding.
Over on the battlefield Rail Spike, Grimlock, Prowl and Omega Prime suddenly all groaned and held their heads.
"What happened?" Rail Spike asked in confusion.
"Where are we?" Prowl asked.
"How'd we get here?" Grimlock asked.
"You back to normal now, Prowl?" Sideburn asked the Lamborghini.
Omega Prime disassembled and turned back into Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus, both holding their heads and having looks of extreme confusion on their faces.
"Someone mind telling me what's going on?" Ultra Magnus asked
"Well…basically…" X-Brawn began.
"You, Optimus, Prowl, Rail Spike, Grimlock, Crosswise and Hot Shot were all under the control of a being named Soul Storm." REV continued.
"I…see." Optimus said only half understanding what was said.
"You did a few things…" WARS started to say not sure of how to word it.
"Like what?" Grimlock asked.
"Like Prowl shooting Spirit in the wing for one thing." Sideburn said casually.
Prowl was horrified, "I would never!" he denied.
"Sorry little brother, but it's true. Rapid Run saw you." X-Brawn confirmed.
Back where Soul Storm was destroyed the three femmes leaned back against the mechs behind them, each giving a sigh of relief. Suddenly each statue in the femme's hands glowed and flew upwards each shattering to reveal real beings.
"Thank you." The Pegasus said, her white coat shimmering in the setting sunlight.
"You have freed us." The dragon continued his dark scales gleaming.
"Freed you?" Comet asked confused.
"Yes, that being imprisoned us long ago knowing we were the only ones that could stop them." The Pegasus explained.
"Phoenix, don't you have something to say to them?" the dragon asked its other companion.
"No." the phoenix said their yellow and orange feathers glowing faintly.
Freespirit smiled, "they don't need to say anything, I know they're thankful."
The phoenix gave a soft smile, "indeed I am. Now I can return home."
The three then flew off into the sky and disappeared.
"Spirit." A voice called over.
The fighter jet froze instantly recognising the voice; she started to shiver not wanting to look over at them. She then heard another voice next to her audio. "He's no longer under her control and wants you back."
"But…" she began uncertain as to how she felt about him.
Comet wasted no time in marching over to their Prime an annoyed look on her face. "I've got just one thing to say to you, Optimus Prime." Her voice bordering on angry.
"Yes?"
The white and yellow femme suddenly smiled all traces of annoyance gone; she wrapped her arms around his neck "I love you." She said quietly so only he could hear.
The fire truck smiled behind his faceplate, "I love you too, Comet."
After watching the femme medic and this world's Optimus, Ultra Magnus looked down at the silver doorwinged femme that was still leaning against him. "Aren't you going over to your, Magnus?" he asked.
"He thinks I'm useless and pathetic." She replied sadly looking at the ground.
"That was a long time ago, Rain. I no longer think that." A voice said.
The femme's optics widened in surprise and she looked up to see her Magnus standing in front of her. "Y-yes you do. Otherwise you wouldn't have said it when you tried to kill me."
A horrified look spread across Ultra Magnus's face at the fact that he had actually tried to hurt the femme he loved with all his spark. He reached out to touch her face only to have her recoil back into the mech behind her terrified he was going to hurt her. He put his arm down and looked at the mech his yellow optics narrowing. "Who are you?"
"My name is Ultra Magnus. I came from another universe to help Raincloud get you back."
"Then how come she's afraid of me." Magnus said his fists shaking down by his sides.
"That would be your fault."
Ultra Magnus was about to punch the mech for taking his lover away when he felt a shaky hand on his chest. His expression softened as he saw the frightened look on her face, he placed a hand atop of hers and saw her gasp. "I'm not going to hurt you." He said softly, he saw tears starting to form in her optics "please don't cry, Rain."
The MG looked deep into the optics of her lover and saw all the love he felt for her, gone was the hatred that she had seen before. She broke down and cried hugging him tightly and never wanting to let him go.
The blue and white mech lovingly returned the hug, pressing her into him more and kissed the top of her head.
The other Ultra Magnus smiled, happy to see Raincloud back with her lover once more. Though a part of him was also sadden by this development, Prime had told him at the beginning that they were to help them in completing their mission, not getting involved with them. He didn't know how or when but by primus he was in love with this femme.
Optimus walked over to the Aerialbots, "as pleased as I am that you arrived to help." He began "I am curious as to how you got here."
"We suddenly had this intense feeling that you were all in danger and needed us." Silverbolt explained.
"But Jazz wouldn't tell us where you were," Slingshot continued "he just kept saying that you were on a mission and unreachable."
Optimus couldn't help but inwardly chuckle, Jazz may act like a carefree mech but he took his responsibility seriously.
"Then may I ask how you got here?" the other Optimus asked walking over to join them, Comet by his side each having an arm around the other.
"Aerialbots, this is Optimus Prime." The semi introduced "Prime, these are the Aerialbots. Silverbolt, Fireflight, Skydive, Slingshot and Air Raid."
"Wait," Skydive began sounding confused "how can he be Optimus Prime, if you're Optimus Prime?" he was getting a headache just thinking about it.
"Just as he is Prime in your universe, so am I for this universe." The fire truck explained.
"Two Primes?" Fireflight said half surprised and confused.
"I think we're going to have to do some name changing or I'll be getting a lot of visits to my medbay." Comet chuckled.
"As long as that's all they are." The fire truck joked back only to get a playful slap to his chest making the other Prime chuckle.
"Anyway, I believe I know how you got here." Comet said.
"And you would be right, Comet." A voice said. The eight Autobots looked up a saw a ball of light float down from the sky and hover among them. "I brought them here. I could see that you needed more help than you had and so guided them to the portal and to this battle."
"But why us?" Air Raid asked.
"Because it was destiny." Crystal replied.
"Destiny." Comet repeated remembering something the dragon had said to her. "The dragon told me something similar, what did he mean?"
"The three of you, Raincloud, Sky Spirit and you Comet were always the ones that would stop that creature." Another voice said. They all saw another 'light ball' descend, but this one was a lot bigger and had a more regal light to it. "Everything that has happened to the three of you over the years was to prepare you for this battle."
"At first we were worried because you were fighting your feelings for Optimus, Comet." Crystal said making the medic blush.
"So what happens now?" Skydive asked.
"That is up to them, they are free to live their lives how they want." The regal 'light ball' explained, "you may remain here for five more days then you must return to your universe."
"I understand." The semi acknowledged.
"Farewell." Both 'light balls' began to fade and disappear.
