"I like you" I responded sheepishly. Why I did say that was a mysterious to even myself but it just came out of my mouth. She looked at me and giggled. Wait what? She was giggling?
"Well, nice to hear, but that wasn't exactly the answer to my question, was it?" Zoe asked and I just wanted to face palm. Nice Percy! You just made it harder for yourself!
"I guess that was the answer but not the direct one. So let me explain, ok? Put please promise you will not hurt me after I told you." I stated.
"Yeah, ok..." she whispered confused and gave me a look that said she was ready.
"I like you... but I already said that. Anyways, what I mean with that is that I like you a lot. I like you as in go out and as... " I blurted out. But before I could continue, I felt a new sensation on my lips. It was Zoe and she was kissing me. I was so confused and shocked but eventually I started to kiss back. When she pulled away I started again.
"Zoe, I..." but I was cut off by her.
In a low whisper she said: "Just shut up and kiss me again."
I didn't need to be told twice. I pulled her close to me, wrapped my arms around her and started to kiss her. I poured as much love in the kiss as I could. Our tongues battled for dominance and after a while I let her win. I didn't want her to be angry with me. It felt like an eternality but eventually the kiss ended. It had been by far nicer than than the first one.
As we broke apart, Zoe snuggled herself into my chest and we just sat there in each other's arms.
"Zoe, I love you." I whispered in her ear softly.
"And I love you", she replied just as softly
Soon we both fell asleep in each other's arms. It was a long time since I had felt so happy the last time.
A/N: Sorry for not updating so long but I just had not had any ideas. But a few days ago a guest posted a review that inspired me a little and I started to write this. It is not as long as my normal chapters but it is definitely better than a cliffhanger at the end of the story.
