Hey my lovelies! It has been freaking forever since I've posted! Well don't worry, I've written the next three chapters and I'm going to try and write more so I don't do this again. I'll post the next one in the next day or two.
General P.O.V
Sunlight was slowly creeping into the bedroom through the partially opened curtains, mildly disturbing the couple curled up in the bed. The two simultaneously drew the covers over their heads to block out the light, grumbling about it being too early when the alarm on the nightstand started to shriek. Twin groans of frustration and annoyance echoed in the bedroom as the couple climbed out of the bed, looking rather haggard. Both had slight dark circles under their eyes and pillow marks on their cheeks, their hair mussed from tossing and turning and their activities from the night before.
Tim's P.O.V
Tim yawned as he watched Skye brutally slam her fist down on her alarm clock with a satisfying crunch, shutting it off, before handing her the glasses that lay on the nightstand. He sat up, watching as she stretched and put her glasses on, yawning hugely. She was really cute like this and the view would have been better if they had both been naked and tired because of making love until the late hours, but that was not the case.
He climbed out of the bed, glancing down at the borrowed sweatpants he wore and sighing as he remembered the night before. There they had been, making out passionately on the couch with the movie playing on in the background. He had just gotten both of their shirts off when their phones started ringing at the same time. They ignored it the first time, but the second time it happened, they looked at their phones and saw that Tony was calling Tim and Ziva was calling Skye.
What happened next was nothing short of stupid and annoying. Since Tim had temporarily blocked Abby's number from his phone and she did not have Skye's number, she hadn't been able to reach them after losing him in her failed tailing attempt, so she was driving everyone else up the wall with her shrieking. Apparently, since Tim wasn't answering her calls and he always answered her before, no matter what, something must be wrong and since no one had any idea if Tim was with Skye, Tony and Ziva tried calling them.
Tim chuckled to himself as he remembered what exactly Skye had told them, which caused the girl in question to look over at him with sleep bleary eyes. "
What are you laughing about so early in the morning? We haven't even had any coffee yet." She even sounded cute with her sleepy voice thick with mock annoyance. Tim smiled at her and picked her up before carrying her into the kitchen to set her on the counter while he made them both coffee and some breakfast.
"I was just remembering what you told the team last night when they interrupted us. What was it, Skye? 'Fuck off, you're interrupting us. If you call us again, unless it is work related, someone better be dying or else they will be.' I think Tony had you on speaker for that." Tim smiled as his girlfriend blushed a bit and kissed her red cheek to ease her embarrassment. "It's okay babe, I think they got the message. When we go in today, we'll deal with everything, okay? You mentioned the Director offering a mediation session between you and Abby? I think that might be a good idea."
Tim watched as Skye grew quiet and introspective, so he returned to making their coffee and breakfast: fried egg sandwiches with a bit of low sodium bacon on it since Skye was trying to watch her salt intake when she could. As he set the sandwiches on the table with the coffee cups, he watched as she slid off the counter and pad over to the fridge to take out the creamer so she could doctor the coffee to her liking. He knew that since she had been quiet this long and had that pensive look on her face, she was seriously considering the pros and cons of doing just as he suggested.
He only had to wait until after she took her first sip of coffee before he got his response. "I think I should do that, but I want to talk to Gibbs and the Director about it. This isn't just about Abby and me not getting along. If we can't at least act civil to each other then that will affect the entire team and our moral and trust will go down the tube. We don't need that because then that will force the Director's hand and force us to split up, either team wise or relationship wise. We already have the no excessive PDA rule in place now, that's one strike against us. The blow up with Abby is a second strike. We need to prevent a third one." Tim nodded and reached out to place his hand on her shoulder, both of them drinking their coffee and offering silent comfort to each other.
"We should probably eat breakfast and head in. You wanna lead or shall I?"
