A few weeks after Thor took Loki back to Asgard, Sammy and Steve were out for a jog around the Smithsonian while Banner helped Tony in the labs at Stark Tower and Liz sat under a tree in the park near the Lincoln Memorial writing and keeping track of laps Sam and Steve did. Sam and another man- who also happened to be named Sam- were jogging at the same pace next to each other and Steve kept lapping them. It was getting to be annoying.

"Don't you dare say it, Rogers," Sammy breathed as he was about to lap them again.

"On your left," Steve said, smirking mischievously.

"God damn it!" Both Sam's said at the same time.

Sam and Sam exchange a look and the next time they pass the Lincoln Memorial, they stop and stood next to Liz.

"Oh, come on, guys," Steve said as he jogged in place while watching them stand there. "You're giving up already?"

"We'll start jogging again," Sammy said.

"If you carry her on your back while you jog," Sam said, pointing to Liz.

"Why do I have to be involved?" Liz whined as Steve walked over and hoisted her onto his back.

"Because," Sammy said. "We're sick of being lapped and hopefully this will slow him down a bit."

The three went back to jogging for a bit before Sammy and Sam sat under a tree with Liz, trying to catch their breaths. Steve walked up.

"How many miles did you just run?" Sammy asked him

"Wasn't keeping track," Steve said.

"I expect to be paid for that," Liz said, pouting.

"I'll take you to dinner tomorrow night."

"I can live with that."

A black sports car pulled up to a stop near them and the window rolled down to reveal Natasha.

"Does anyone know where to find the Smithsonian?" She said. "I'm here to pick up a fossil."

Steve walked over to the car, not very amused though Sammy and Liz were giggling.

"Very funny," Steve said.

"Whatever, get in."

"I've got my bike."

Sammy held out her hand, "Give me the keys, I'll have it waiting at SHEILD headquarters for you when you get back."

"But," Steve wasn't sure, he was protective of the bike and Liz. "It's my bike."

"Rogers, give me the keys to the bike and go with Natasha. I promise, there won't be a scratch on that bike when you get back."

Steve sighed and handed Sammy the keys to the bike, then got into the car with Natasha.

Sammy ended up going on the mission with Steve and Natasha. Steve had convinced Liz to stay back because it would be too dangerous for her since she wasn't much into fighting. Sammy rolled her eyes as Natasha tried to talk Steve into dating someone else.

"I'm actually pretty attached to Liz," Steve said.

"But she's so much younger than you," Natasha said.

"Oh, and the other girls you're trying to get him to date are any better?" Sam said, annoyed. "They're only a few years older than Liz and I. If he wants to date Liz, let him."

The back of the plane opened and Steve jumped out without a parachute and Sam followed shortly after in her suit.

Sam, Liz, and Fury were in Fury's car on their way to Stark Tower when suddenly a bunch of police were following them and shooting at the car. When the car told them that no units were supposed to be in the area, Sam and Liz exchanged a look and Fury told the car to bring up the propulsion systems as the "cops" began shooting. Fury started shooting back as the car was able to drive out of the blockade.

"Well what's not damaged?!" Fury asked the car angrily.

"Air conditioning is fully functional," the car said.

Sam rolled her eyes and climbed into the passenger seat and started messing with wires under the dashboard.

"What are you doing?" Fury and Liz asked.

"Do you wanna live?" She asked them.

"Yes."

"Then shut up!"

She kept fiddling with the wires as Fury yelled at the car to get them off the grid. Suddenly, a man appeared and shot something onto the underside of the car, which then exploded and flipped the car over.

"Girls," Fury said. "I need you to cause a distraction while I work on getting us out of here."

Sam and Liz looked at each other.

"We can do that," They said.

Liz grabbed her notebook and found a blank page as Sam dug out a bunch of sharpies from Liz's bag. The man from before began stalking towards the car while Liz frantically drew a big 10 on the paper in multiple colors. Sam waited until the man was 10 feet from the car before she slid Liz's notebook out of the car and it stopped sliding when it hit the man's boot. The man looked down at the very colorful 10 on the page and stood there for a few moments in confusion. Then he walked over to the upside-down car and yanked the door off only to find the car void of people and the only evidence of anyone having been there was a hole in the ground.
