Inside the parking structure connected to the compound it was eerily quiet. It reminded Ryan of something like an old western movie, with the dust flying in whirlwinds and the whistling wind from between the different industrial buildings invading the closed space that would soon become a battle ground.
"You ready for this?" Eric asked, as he opened the driver-side door, carefully.
A chime of 'As ready as ever"'s and "Let's do this"'s echos through the parking level, but Ryan stayed silent.
Frank and Walter met them by the main entrance. Everyone was on guard because there had been no disturbance so far, but they doubted that would be the case for much longer.
"Alexx and Tom are at the left side exit waiting." Frank informed, as Calleigh pulled out a small piece of paper that held the blueprints of the compound.
"We're here." She said pointing to a small spec on the 8 x 11 sheet of paper, "And Horatio's here."
"So, where will you guys be?" Ryan asked
"Calleigh and I will take the left." Eric announced
"And Nat and I will take the right." Walter countered.
"Ok, so we're all set to rescue Horatio and kick some Mala Noche ass?" Frank asked.
"Yea, I guess so." Ryan said dishearteningly among all of the hoops and harahs of the team ready to rescue their superior.
"Ryan," Eric said compassionately, his eyes meeting Ryan's, "You can do this. You can do this, and you can love Horatio."
Ryan knew Eric was telling the truth, but still he did not trust his own self. He had always been the team screw up. He had always been the one Horatio called Mr. Wolfe never Ryan or Ry as did the other members of the team. He did not trust himself to rescue Horatio, but still he knew he had to do it.
"Alright." Ryan sighed, "Let's do this!"

"This is too quiet." Frank said as they sneaked through a long and twisting hall way.
They had yet to run into anything, and it was beginning to be to easy to navigate their way through this straightforward hallway.
"Agreed, way to quiet." Ryan said as they neared the end of the hallway
As the reached the first door that all changed.
Kicking down the door, Frank and Ryan were met with five Mala Noche soldiers. Quickly disposing of the first two men, Frank put his attention on the third, who quickly but inaccurately fired his pistol, nicking Frank's leg. He doubled over in shock as Ryan, who had quickly fired upon his two men, fired and killed the fifth.
In the calm of the moment, Ryan put his hand around Frank and helped the man to his feet.
"You ok?" He asked, stifling a laugh at the miniature mark on Franks ankle.
"Hurts like hell, but I'll be fine as soon as we kill these dumb asses!" He said raising to his feet.
"Well," Ryan pulled out a copy of the blueprints, "It looks like we only have a 10 ft hallway then we hit Horatio's room."
"Good! Let's get this shit done and get Horatio home!" Frank paused, then chuckled, "Maybe get him into the bed of a certain lab tech?"
"Frank!" Ryan said as quietly as he could yell.
"Come on, kid. Let's go." He laughed.
Both men made their way quietly through the unlocked door, and faced two more soldiers who were quickly disposed of, and now they faced a large heavy wooden door, which was unbreakable.
Frank pulled a large mallet from his bag, but he was stopped from destroying the door by Ryan with a lock picking kit.
"Good thinking, kid." Frank smiled.
Ryan continued to unlock the last door, and within seconds the door was unlocked and cracked open. The men looked at each other as Ryan prepared to kick in the door, ready to face what lay ahead
"MDPD!" Ryan screamed as he kicked in the door. It was quiet in the room as Frank followed him in... scary quiet.
"This isn't right." Frank commented, glancing disconcertingly around the room.
At that moment a second door opened and a bang echoed through the room as Frank fell to his knees, hit near the heart.
Ryan reacted with a shot at the thin man standing in the door, and as soon as he fell, Ryan was at Frank's side.
"Frank? Frank you need to try and breathe." Ryan said frantically, taking his own shirt off and shoving it on to the gushing wound, and pulling the duck tape out of his bag, he secured the shirt to Frank's gunshot wound.
"Horatio." Frank gasped, "Take care of Horatio."
Ryan met Frank's eyes for a second, then turned to face Horatio.
