A/N: A bit shorter than the others, but the final fight commences! Enjoy!
Big E and Mojo Rawley fired their energy beams at the mystic trio of Nia Jax, Hideo Itami, and Elias. Hideo was able to dodge the beams, while Nia used her armored body to absorb them as she charged forward with Elias following closely behind her. Seth caught Hideo in the corner of his eye and quickly cut the man off, tackling him away from the mansion and into the garden. Big E and Mojo gave out and Paige proceeded to surround Nia and Elias with a large dome of dark energy.
"Nikki!" She shouted at Nikki Bella. "Fire!" Without a second thought, Nikki grabbed her lighter tight, lit it, and used her power to fire a blast of flame at the dome and set the entire mass ablaze. The flames gave Nia and Elias pause before Nia shouted and slammed her body into the flaming energy barrier in an attempt to break through it. Paige held her barrier.
"I don't know how long I can hold them!" She shouted. "Think of something, guys!" Brie then readied herself to throw her ice powers at them the moment they broke through. Tye Dillinger then spotted the wreckage of a downed helicopter a distance away from the mansion down the road. Bayley and Mojo caught what the man was looking at.
"Ron?" Mojo called out. Tye shook his head in doubt.
"I gotta try!" He said. Nia continued to chip at Paige's barrier and Tye saw Paige weakening every moment she held it in place. He then threw his magnetic powers at the helicopter and tried to grab it, but he was unable to reach it. Tye strained to use more energy to grab the broken machine to no avail, so he opted to carefully move closer to it while still reaching out.
In the garden, Hideo fought against Seth but struggled to keep up with the much faster man. Seth managed to use his speed to confuse Hideo whom saw multiple copies of Seth running around him while it was simply the man moving so fast that his eyes were unable to keep up. In a blind attempt to strike, Hideo swung at one of the visages but was struck hard by a still moving Seth, the blow knocking him off balance before he was struck again. This time, the punch knocked him to the ground. Seth stopped in front of the fallen man. Hideo fell to his hands and knees still dazed and Seth got an idea. He stepped backwards and then proceeded to use his patented Curb Stomp on Hideo that he amplified using his Alpha Human speed. The impact crushed Hideo's head, leaving violet blood and pieces of skull and brain matter all over the ground beneath it and on Seth's boot. Seth shook his boot off then looked over to his allies and saw Paige's barrier engulfed by Nikki's flames. He looked to see Tye reaching out to the massive helicopter wreckage attempting to lift it with his powers.
"Ronnie!" Paige shouted. "Hurry!" Tye screamed as he continued to reach for the helicopter. Finally, he stretched his power far enough to grab the wreckage and lift it with a loud metallic roar. He fought to move the metal up above the barrier.
"Drop it now!" Tye shouted at Paige. She looked up and then released the barrier. As soon as the barrier dropped, Tye used all the power he could to slam the helicopter on top of both Nia and Elias, the force crushing the two under its weight. The shock of the massive helicopter being slammed onto the earth beneath it rocked the area. Seth had made his way to his comrades.
"Are they dead?" He asked. "I got Hideo back there."
"I think so." Tye said, his strength returning to him after his feat.
"We need to check on Shane and Catherine."
Becky leapt over the group of Superstars and led the charge towards the fearsome warriors. Charlotte used her powers to cover Becky in crystal as she collided with the ground in front of their enemies, the shockwave causing them all to jump away to safety. Roman Reigns, Triple H and John Cena ran towards them and John shot an optic blast of energy at Bobby Lashley, the beam hitting him in the face but bouncing off of him and into the sky. Bobby grinned and slammed his fist into the ground generating a pulse of energy that shook the ground in front of him. Triple H then used his powers to halt the shifting earth so that it would do no harm to John. Roman activated his stone ability and charged through the wall of land at Bobby but was abruptly pushed back by Dwayne. His mind occupied by the attack on Roman, John turned to Dwayne and prepared to shoot him with a blast but was nearly caught off guard by a charging Braun Strowman until Sasha teleported and grabbed John out of harm's way. Billie and Peyton saw Sasha and John teleport and Billie aimed a charged bolt of light at them only for it to be stopped by a crystal wall courtesy of Charlotte Flair. Ciaran and Finn charged through the crystal wall at the duo. Billie shot a barrage of bolts at the brothers. Finn, however, used his own energy to power through the bolts until Ciaran and he were feet away. Their attack was thwarted by Dwayne who flew in front of the two women and absorbed the force, shocking both Ciaran and Finn before knocking them both backwards. He was then introduced to the force of Becky's shield to the head, the strike merely shifting him aside. Becky then proceeded to swing her sword at the man for it to be blocked by his forearm with the abnormal sound of metal striking metal. Becky then struck again and was again blocked by Dwayne. Billie sent a light bolt at Becky, the bolt catching the woman off guard and striking her in the chest and sending her flying several feet away. Becky was safely caught by Sheamus who dove to save her from falling awkwardly on her head. Becky stood to her feet and nodded at the man as a silent way of thanking him.
"I'm already sick of this!" She said. She then used her power to withdraw her sword and shield and form the energy into a weapon resembling a chain whip. She then ran for Dwayne with the intent of exacting revenge. Sheamus then leapt backwards towards the ocean behind them and used his powers to command the water to catch him. Peyton saw the motion by Sheamus and nodded at Billie before giving chase, running at the man then leaping into the air with her arms spread wide as if they were wings. Sheamus used his powers to command the ocean water to engulf Peyton and crush her under its weight, but Peyton broke free of the large mass of water and used it to create a large sphere, hurling it at Sheamus and knocking down off of the pillar of water into the ocean. On land, Braun ran blindly for Charlotte Flair only to be encased in crystal, his body sent to the dimension from which Charlotte drew her power. Bobby then knocked Triple H and John over with a shockwave and sent another at Charlotte in an attempt to break Braun free, the wave of land breaking the woman's focus and causing her to drop the field around Braun and put a field up around herself to block the landmass. Braun proceeded to charge at Charlotte and knock her several feet away, nearly knocking her into the ocean. Braun smirked and turned around to charge at Becky whom was battling Dwayne. He was hit by both a green energy blast from Naomi and a searing beam of solar power from Noam. They were able to knock the large man down on his back but were met by blasts from Billie Kay and a massive shockwave from Bobby Lashley. The two were able to fend off Billie's blasts but were unable to shield themselves from the shockwave and were blown away by the force, the power behind it knocking the wind out of them. Bobby readied another shockwave but Charlotte made her way close enough to the two to cover them in her protective crystal field and shield them from the next wave. Triple H then used his powers to control the earth thrown at them and send back to Bobby, but Braun stood in the way of the barrage. Billie smirked and then proceeded to use her power to create three copies of herself in front of her. Ciaran looked at the woman and her tactics.
"What the hell?" He said. He then saw the Billie clones fire a massive barrage of bolts in every direction at the Superstars. Triple H used the earth as a shield to keep Sasha, Roman, and AJ from being struck while Charlotte protected Naomi and Noam, Finn used his crimson energy to save his brother and himself, Roman used himself to protect John, and Becky quickly rendered herself invisible and protect herself from the blasts. Billie withdrew her clones and her targets breathed heavily as they were beginning to run out of energy.
In the ocean, Sheamus recovered from the attack from Peyton Royce and searched around for her. He found his target, but not through his own efforts. Peyton had been able to sneak up on the man and wrap her legs around his neck in an attempt to restrict air flow. The woman felt the pressure around her tighten as Sheamus controlled the water surrounding her to lift her off of him and up out of the ocean with a force that would kill someone without the Alpha Human ability to withstand it. Peyton did possess the ability to survive it, however, and she landed safely next to Billie Kay and the rest of her partners. Sheamus leapt out of the ocean and landed on the edge of the island, his breath heavy and his skin paler than usual. The man then clenched his fist as his eyes began to glow a deep blue and the water dripping from his body circled around him. With a loud shout, Sheamus threw his hands into the air and proceeded to lift the massive body of water, creating a gargantuan wall of water that surrounded island. Everyone watched Sheamus's grandiose feat in awe, and John Cena saw the moment as an opportunity. He quickly stood to his feet, stepped from behind Roman, and fired a blast at Billie, the beam taking the woman by surprise. The attack struck her in the back and knocked her into Peyton.
"Let's go!" Ciaran shouted at his brother as he quickly rose to his feet. Ciaran ran towards Bobby Lashley and used his strength to take the large man down with a shoulder charge. Finn looked over to Roman whom nodded before encasing himself in stone. Finn then covered himself in crimson energy and ran for Braun Strowman as Roman charged for Dwayne. The two Superstars were able to knock the two enforcers into each other and daze them. Triple H looked at Sheamus whom still held onto the wall of water around the island, then looked at Bray Wyatt's group and saw that they had been positioned together. He got an idea. He turned to Charlotte Flair.
"Ashley!" He shouted at her. "On my mark, barrier us!" Charlotte nodded. Triple H then shouted at Sheamus. "Stephen! Drop it now!" Sheamus looked over at Triple H then at the downed enforcers and knew what Triple H wanted. "Hurry!" Finn, Ciaran, and Roman ran towards Charlotte after hearing their leader's command and as soon as they made it to their destination, Sheamus shut his eyes and crossed his arms, relinquishing his hold on the giant ocean surrounding them causing it to begin its descent upon the island.
"Paul!" Charlotte shouted at Triple H as the ocean made its way down. Triple H shut his eyes.
"Now!" He demanded. Charlotte screamed and threw a massive crystal barrier over the group of Superstars the moment before the water mass fell upon the island. The force of the ocean shook the island and generated the sound of a thunderous slam as it collided, smashing the fallen enforcers before returning to its place with the rest of itself. The Superstars looked to the strangely untouched mountain where Bray, Luke, and Phil stood, and Sheamus grinned and beat his chest.
"Come on, Fella!" Sheamus shouted as he taunted Bray. "Bring it on! We'll stomp alluv ya!" Bray shook his head and smiled.
"Stephen." He said. "Always one to fight with your eyes… and not with your head." Luke stood next to the man and watched the group below, his feeling of doubt beginning to resurface as he witnessed the attack on his fellow Alpha Humans by his supposed leader. Unable to fend the feeling any longer, the man turned to Bray.
"This isn't right, Windham." He said. Bray turned his attention to Luke.
"Still have doubt in your heart, Jon?" Bray asked. Luke shook his head and bit his lip. Phil looked on as his comrade began to rebel.
"We're against each other! We should be working together to make the humans understand us! I thought that's what we were doing, Windham." Bray shook his head in disappointment and placed his hand on Luke's shoulder.
"Stand with me." He said. "Then you'll-" Before Bray could finish, much to his shock, Luke knocked his hand off of his shoulder and stepped away.
"No, Windham!" He shouted. "I stood with you when you told me we were helping all alpha Humans be accepted. I stood with you when you roamed the world looking for others who would join your cause." He then glanced at Phil. "I even stood by you when you convinced Phil to join you by killing his wife and taking advantage of him being broken up over the man you called your father." The moment Luke mentioned Phil and the death of AJ, a dormant spark lit within Phil that nearly broke the hold Bray had over him. He looked at his puppet master with a blank expression. "The same man whose power you're taking advantage of right now. The same man whose wife you killed because you knew she'd stand against you and stop you! I blindly stood with you for all that because I didn't know any better. I didn't know what you were about. Now that I see what you really want…" Luke stepped to the edge of the cliff. "I can't stand with you anymore!" He then jumped backwards off of the cliff and down with the other Superstars, clapping at the ground and generating a shockwave to break his fall and land safely. Bray then smirked.
"You know, Jon…" He started. "I knew something about you really didn't believe. I knew you couldn't follow me to the end, but I still had hope. I had faith that I could make you see the truth in my vision, but you're no different from the rest of them." He then heard the crackle of lightning coming from his side and he turned to see Phil. His expression was that of growing anger as lightning began to course his body and focus into his hands. Bray blinked. "What's this?"
"You…" Phil said through gritted teeth. "You lied to me. It was you. You took her from me."
"Was it me?" Bray asked rhetorically as he attempted to regain control over Phil's mind. "Was it those humans who killed her… or was it your apathy for her and the rest of those humans that took her, Phil?"
"Enough!" Phil shouted. He then began to levitate into the air and away from the cliff. "You've lied to me, taken my wife from me, caused me to turn on the people I cared for and loved the most! You're not controlling me anymore!" Storm clouds immediately formed above Phil as he charged his energy. "I'm ending you, mother fucker!" Using all of his rage and emotion, Phil fired the strongest bolt of lightning he had ever generated not at Bray, but at the mountain behind him. The wall of rock shattered and a barrage of boulders fell upon Bray, crushing him underneath their weight. The clouds receded and Phil withdrew his energy. He looked down at his comrades and descended to the ground in front of Sheamus. Sheamus smiled at the man.
"Good job, fella!" He said. He then noticed Phil's gaze was fixed on AJ who stood behind him. He stepped aside and allowed AJ to pass. She stepped up to her husband with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, April." Phil said with a shaking voice. "I'm so sorry." AJ then placed her hands on Phil's tear cooled face as everyone else beheld their emotional reunion.
"Don't be." AJ said to him. "I'm here and it's all over now."
Outside the Astral Plane, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, and General Zodrick kept watchful eyes on the seemingly unconscious Shane and Lana. Moments afterward, Sami made his way through the basement entrance, breaking up the silence in the room.
"Rami." Daniel called out. "What's going on up there?"
"They're fending off those other guys." Sami replied. "How are they?"
"Hell." Dean retorted. "We ain't psychic. We don't know." Zodrick looked over at Dean then to Sami.
"They haven't moved since we got down here." He told Sami. Sami bit his lip as he made a decision.
"I'm gonna help him." He told the trio. "Keep an eye on us." Daniel nodded as Sami knelt down next to Lana and proceeded to enter the Astral Plane to assist his friends.
In the Astral Plane, Shane faced Bray as Lana stood to her feet. Bray smirked at the duo.
"You think you can stop me?" Bray asked rhetorically. "She can barely stand and you are nothing without your sister. You are no match for me and my will." Shane narrowed his eyes.
"You can think what you want." He said. He then proceeded to use his telepathic powers to pull energy from the Astral Plane. "But you are in my kingdom now!" Bray smirked.
"Then let me challenge you for the throne!" He said as he charged himself with psionic energy. The Astral Plane filled with dark clouds and Bray let out a menacing battle cry. "I will claim your kingdom!" With those words, Bray used the energy he pulled from the Astral Plane to summon a dark force field around himself and from the force field he fired dark bolts of energy at Shane and Lana. Before the bolts could collide with them, Sami materialized in front of them and used his powers to call forth a field around Shane, Lana and himself to shield them from the bolts. Bray lifted his eyebrows in brief surprise.
"Rami!" Lana yelped with glee. Sami dropped the force field.
"The others are fighting in the outer realm." Sami told the two. "We need to stop Windham here!" Bray laughed at Sami's declaration.
"Come at me then!" He said. Shane then covered himself in a brilliant psionic armor and charged towards Bray. Bray smirked as Shane collided with his force field and bounced off of it upon impact. Lana then summoned around Sami a set of armor similar to the armor worn in legend by Valkyrie warriors. Sami then summoned a psionic bow and arrow and proceeded to fire the mystical arrows at Bray as Shane recovered for the impact. The arrows collided with Bray's force field then disintegrated. Bray shook his head.
"It's useless, boy." He said to Sami. "Yield to me." Lana and Shane then noticed the Astral Plane grow darker as its vibrant hues and streams slowly began fading and turning into the violet emanating from Bray.
"We will stop you, Windham!" Sami shouted as he readied himself to fire at the man again. Bray then summoned what appear to be a glyph in front of him and rapidly fired dark bolts at the trio. Sami withdrew his armaments and threw up a shield to protect against the bolts, Lana standing behind Sami and using her powers to support and amplify the shield. Shane leapt over them and lunged at Bray with a psionic spear aimed at the man. Bray snapped his eyes up at the approaching Shane and threw up a wall to block his attack. Shane rebounded from the impact and landed next to Sami and Lana. Bray then furrowed his brow and balled up his fist. With a loud battle cry, he slammed his fist onto the floor beneath him and generated a massive shockwave of dark energy so strong that it broke away Shane and Sami's armor and threw the two men and Lana backwards painfully onto their backs. The trio slowly rose back to their feet and noticed that moment that the Astral Plane had been fully engulfed by Bray's dark energy. Bray then laughed at the trio.
"This is my world!" He said as the energy emanating from his Astral body intensified. He then raised his hand, closed his fist, and behind the trio formed a sharp pillar. The pillar ended up piercing through Lana's back, causing her to gasp and shutter. Shane and Sami looked back at her and felt her presence slowly drain from the Astral Plane.
Outside in the outer realm, Dean jumped as Lana's back arched and she took in a sharp breath. Daniel and Zodrick looked over to them.
"What's going on with her?" Daniel yelled as he quickly made his way over to Lana.
"I don't fucking know!" Dean shouted back frantically. "She just started having a seizure!" Daniel put his hands on Lana's shoulders in an attempt to calm her, not knowing that it was out of his control. The convulsing then stopped, but so did her breathing. Daniel's eyes widened.
"Catherine!" He shouted as Dean stood up and nervously ran his hands through his hair. "Catherine, come on! Stay with us!" Daniel attempted to resuscitate Lana by breathing air into her lungs and pumping on her chest. "Catherine, please!"
"Catherine!" Shane shouted from within the Astral Plane as the pillar withdrew from Lana's fallen body. Sami ran to the woman's aid as her presence began to fade. Sami began to syphon his own astral presence into her in an attempt to revive her but to no avail. Lana's astral being lost its glow and her body fell limp. Sami balled up his mouth and Shane shut his eyes as they accepted the loss of their comrade. Unable to control his anger, Sami let out a deafening cry, summoned a psionic broadsword and lunged at Bray with all of his strength. Shane watched on in horror, however, as Bray proceeded to halt Sami's assault by abruptly grabbing him by the neck and began to strangle him.
"Let him go, Windham!" Shane shouted at Bray. "Now!" Instead of obliging the request, Bray used his powers to draw Sami's presence into him, Sami screaming in agony as he felt his existence leave him.
"They…" Bray said as he drained Sami of all of his presence and dropped his lifeless body. "…are mine…"
"I'm here." AJ said to Phil. "…and it's all over now." The woman embraced her husband as tight as she could. She then felt her body be pulled away from Phil's and lifted into the air.
"AJ!" John shouted. Everyone then heard a menacing shout come from where Bray had been buried and broken from out of the rubble stood Bray Wyatt covered in a violet field that pushed the boulders aside as stepped forward and held the petite woman midair with his power.
"No!" Sasha shouted as she prepared to use her teleportation to attempt to grab AJ. She was halted, however, by a massive field of violet energy that intensified the gravity around her body which kept her from moving.
"Mercedes!" Finn shouted as Ciaran and he ran and struck the field to try and free Sasha. Ciaran was then grabbed by Bray's power and Bray proceeded to squeeze a telekinetic fist around the man, slowly crushing him under the pressure. Finn summoned his red energy around his entire body and began pulling at the fist in an attempt to free his brother. Naomi, Phil, and Noam fired their energy at Bray only for the attacks to be dispelled and themselves, along with Sheamus, Luke and Roman, to be buried under the violet energy as well.
"You bastard!" Becky shouted and Bray before conjuring body armor and leaping at the man, Finn joining her in her assault. The two were halted, however, by Bray and grabbed in place by his energy. Bray then launched his energy towards Triple H and Charlotte, but Charlotte managed to throw up her crystal barrier around the two. Bray's energy proved to be too strong for Charlotte and the barrier crumbled as the dark energy bound them to the ground with their allies. John, the last one standing, fired an optic laser at Bray, but was immediately halted and encased in the violet energy.
Shane balled up his fists as he witnessed the deaths of his comrades at the hands of Bray Wyatt. Bray stood with his violet energy swirling around him. The man then spoke out to Shane.
"This is my world to recreate, Shane." He said as his energy grew even greater. Shane then charged at him with all of his power, but Bray proceeded to halt him and slam him to the ground.
"Windham." Shane said in pain. "Stop this. Please." Bray shook his head.
"I wanted you to join me, McMahon." He said as he lifted Shane up by his neck. He then used his power to show Shane images of his comrades being held by Bray's power. "I wanted all of you to join me! I wanted us to live in this world like the deities we are meant to be." He then showed Shane images of the world full of humans being drained of their life force by Bray's gargantuan powers. "But you were all blinded by these damned humans. They took everything from us and threw their hatred at us in droves, but you all stood for them. You stood against me, your own brother!" Bray then threw Shane away from him, the man falling on his back in a heap drained of his strength. "And in your defeat, you stand for them still. That was when I made up my mind, Shane, that none of you are worthy to live in my new world." Bray shook his head, covered Shane in his violet energy, and began to slowly drain his astral being. Shane resisted Bray's will as much as he could, but was ultimately not strong enough to break the hold Bray had over him.
Bray laughed maniacally as his power grew while he proceeded to drain the life force from the fallen Superstars.
"I gave you all a chance to change your minds and stand with me." He said. "You chose those humans. Therefore, you chose to die with them and be reborn anew. Accept your fate become one with me." Bray then noticed someone step out of the shifting waters of the ocean and onto the island in front of the fallen Superstars. He furrowed his brow upon realizing who the person was.
Outside the Astral Plane, the other Superstars had made their way into the Basement and Daniel Bayley were watching over Shane as his body seized.
"Please fight, Shane!" Bayley cried as she shut her eyes. "Don't leave us! We need you!" That moment, everyone in the room felt a calming presence fill the room and the feeling of ease into their hearts.
Shane fought Bray with every fiber of his being as the man continued to drain the presence from Shane's astral body. It was then that Bray conjured a massive fist of dark energy and pressed it against the man, Shane crying out in pain as the pressure crushed him.
"It's over, Shane." Bray said to him. "You're finished. Your efforts to resist my will are of no consequence." That moment, Shane began to feel a familiar presence and through weakened breath, Shane then spoke to Bray.
"You… will never win." He said, giving Bray pause.
"Even in your last breath…" Bray said. "You forsake me and stand against me. Why, Shane?" Shane swallowed hard as the strength continued to leave him.
"Because even now…you're alone… and I…" As Shane spoke, a bright light began to shine behind him and a humanoid figure walked out of it. "…am not."
