*Sorry for all of you who read my Bella FanFic. I have writer's block. I don't get it often, but when I do, it hits me hard.*
"Hey, Germany!" Italy called, running through the house. "I need you!"
Alice bumped into him coming down the stairs. "Oh, hey. Something wrong?"
"I need Germany," Italy explained. "Do you know where he is?"
"The girls upstairs are giving him a hard time," Alice giggled. "I'd save him if I were you."
Italy stared at her. "But you are me."
"Shut up and go do it."
Italy rolled his eyes and rushed past her, opening and closing doors until he stumbled into one with a bunch of girls in it. And, of course, Germany was there.
"Hi again," Maddie whispered, hugging her bear. She noticed his desperate and tired expression and frowned. "Is something the matter?"
"Y-Yeah," Italy panted. "I just-"
"Hold it!" Julchen pulled something out of her coat pocket and checked it. "Well, darn. Out of battery."
"Julchen!" Marianne scolded. "The cell phone isn't supposed to exist for a few more decades! What is wrong with you?!"
Germany rolled his eyes and went to Italy, giving him a look that clearly said, "Get me out of here."
"Ooooo!" Carmen said. "Can I see it?"
As the girls passed the device around, Italy slammed the door shut and grabbed Germany's hand. "Let's go."
"Go where…?"
"Anywhere but here."
He dragged his friend outside and into the courtyard. He fell on the ground, shifting his weight onto his hand. "Okay, sit down…"
Germany reluctantly did so. "Uh, so…What did you want?"
"You know how I was under scopolamine and stuff…?" Italy muttered hesitantly.
Germany leaned forward. "Did you snap out of it?"
"Yeah," Italy sighed. "But one of the deities told me about what happened, so…"
"O-Oh," Germany stuttered. "Well, it wasn't your fault, someone told you to-"
"No, no, I…" Italy's voice faltered at just how weird this was. He was trying to discuss something he experienced but barely knew anything about. "Um, can you tell me what happened?"
Germany suddenly winced. Italy didn't like the look on his face.
"What?"
Germany looked away. "Nothing."
"If it's 'nothing,' then you won't have a problem telling me."
"Just tell me what you know first so I won't have to go over anything…unnecessary," Germany sighed.
"W-Well, all I know is that you saw me k-kissing another guy," Italy stammered. "And I feel a little uncomfortable not knowing what happened."
"…" Germany frowned. "I'm not really sure I should tell you."
"Why?" Italy whined. "I just wanna know! It's not like I'm asking for half your country or something."
Germany bit his lip. "It's not that I don't want to, it's just that…I don't think I should."
Italy gave him a hurt expression and stood up to leave. "Fine. I'll ask Astrid. She must've been spying from some place."
Germany jumped to his feet. "No!"
Italy gave him a sideways glance as he turned to leave. "I was there, but I don't remember. I think I have a right to know since it was me, after all."
Germany cringed at the icy stare. "It's just…I don't want you to."
"What, I have to ask for your permission now?!" Italy muffled an irritated scream and stomped off.
"Wait! You don't understand," Germany called after him, but he already trudged back into the house.
"Simone!" Italy called. "Simone, you there?"
The blond boy appeared in front of him. "At your service."
"You're the deity of memories, right?"
"And peace of mind."
"Okay, then tell me what happened."
Simone raised an eyebrow. "Even though your friend thought it would be for the best if you didn't?"
"He's just being mean," Italy huffed, waving a hand. "Tell me."
"I see," Simone said with a smile. "Then I will. Are you ready to know who you kissed?"
"Yeah, sure," Italy replied, even though he wasn't really sure of himself.
"It was Germany," Simone told him.
Italy raised an eyebrow, his gaze blank. "No, really."
"It was him," Simone assured him. "He was afraid you'd go for Monica because of a command someone gave you. He didn't want her finding out. So he did everything he could to keep you away from her."
Italy blinked stupidly. "…Really?" He let out a humorless chuckle. "It was him, huh? It was Germany, huh?"
"Yes, and I suggest you go apologize," Simone said. "Is there anything else you wish to know?"
"Yes, actually, there is," Italy smiled. "Is there a deity of dimensions?"
"Ah, yes there is," Simone answered. "Roku. The deity of time, dimensions, and the planets. She has a big job." He smirked. "Why? Would you like to go home?"
"Yeah…" Italy sighed. "The less I remember about this place, the less I'll miss it."
"Oh, you will miss it," Simone said. "You'll remember the moment you see Monica again."
Italy wanted to ask what he meant, but Simone had already disappeared into nothing.
*Awwww no time for a footnote today. I still have one more deity to go, so if any of you have suggestions, just tell me! :) And I'm trying to find a black beanie just like Hachi's! Wish me luck!
K bye.*
