Here's the next chapter guys! What should Jencer's second date be? What movies/box sets should they watch next?

Thanks for the reviews and all! You guys are really cool! And sadly, I'm back at school next week so my updates may go down to every once in a while due to this year being extremely busy and I have to do extra work due to my illness last month. But don't worry, I intend to finish this for you guys! Thanks for your patience. x

"Kimmy, come and see Raphael the Lion!" Henry said, dragging his friend over to the bars of Raphael.

Kevin sighed and followed slowly after them

"Kevin still hasn't apologised to Henry, I see." JJ mumbled to Melanie as the latter sighed.

"I keep begging him to, Jennifer. I think he's at that phase when he realises something isn't right and is acting out. I'm really sorry." Melanie whispered.

"It's okay. Maybe a little talk from me will do the trick." JJ hoped. Melanie smiled and nudged her friend lightly.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

Henry waved at the lion and Raphael seemed to remember the blonde headed child as he came closer to the bars to yawn at the youngster.

"Raphael's my friend." Henry said, boldly making Kimmy giggle.

"Can he be my friend too?" she asked.

Henry pondered on the thought whilst looking at the intrigued, daring lion. "I guess so... Can she be your friend, Raphael?"

The lion yawned and settled down in front of the bars before cringing slightly.

"I think he says 'yes'." JJ smiled, kneeling in front of the children, beckoning a grumbling Kevin over. "I think he's friends with all of you."

Kevin sighed. "I don't wanna be friends with a stupid lion."

"He's not stupid!" Henry yelled. "Don't worry, Raphael. He's just jealous that we intimi-something other boys!"

"Intimidate." JJ chuckled, stroking her son's hair.

"Yeah, that." Henry mumbled, shuffling her hand off. "Not in front of Kimmy." he whispered, blushing as Kimmy giggled.

Melanie joined them, phone in hand. "Lunch in five. I just gotta make a quick call."

"Okay." JJ smiled. "Let's go to the canteen, kids."

She led the children away as Melanie went to take her call. As the adult and three children found a place to sit, Melanie came back, her face full of worry.

"Dinosaur chicken!" Henry chanted along with Kimmy as her twin rolled his eyes.

JJ chuckled. "Okay, two dinosaur chicken meals and...?"

"Burger." Kevin mumbled.

"I'll just have a salad, Jennifer." Melanie said, smiling lightly. JJ nodded and stood up to collect their food. "You guys having a nice time so far?" Melanie asked.

"Yeah, Raphael's really cool, momma." Kimmy grinned as she held Henry's hand. "And Henry's really cool." she blushed, making Henry blush as well.

Melanie chuckled in delight as she watched JJ come back. "It seems our children are planning their future wedding, Jennifer."

"Already? Gosh!" JJ laughed. "They'll bring our meals over." she announced.

"So, Kevin, what did you enjoy?" Melanie asked her son.

"Making Henry drop his ice cream." The youngster grinned, looking at Henry who pouted.

"That was mean, Kevin Jerry Daniels!" Melanie scolded. "Apologise right this minute or you are sent to bed as soon as we get home!"

"Sorry, Henry." Kevin mumbled, looking down.

"I am actually quite disappointed in you, Kevin. I'm sure your mother is too. When I met you, you seemed like a sweet little boy. What happened?" JJ asked.

"Mommy and daddy breaking up, happened!" Kevin cried, making the adults' eyes widen in shock.

"How-how did you know about that?" Melanie whispered.

"I heard you and daddy shouting over the phone!" Kevin confessed. "Then he came home and I heard you shouting when I tried to sleep."

"I'm-" Melanie was lost for words.

"Momma, what's going on?" Kimmy whimpered. "Is Kevvy right?"

"I'll explain everything when we finish our nice outing with Mrs Reid and Henry." Melanie whispered as their order came through. "Thank you." she thanked the waiter.

...

"Oh my God," Melanie whined as she and JJ were in the living room of her house. "Kimmy and Kevvy are going to hate me, Jennifer." she cried.

JJ wrapped her arms around her friend's shoulders. "I'm sure they're not, Melanie." she cooed.

"I have to tell them." she said.

"Okay, if you need anything, we're just four doors down or so." JJ said, patting her friend's back.

Melanie nodded and took a deep breath in. "Okay, wish me luck." she said.

"Good luck." JJ smiled. "Henry?! We're going home, now!" she called upstairs.

The blonde child rushed downstairs and waved at Melanie who smiled back. "Bye guys!" Henry yelled, rushing out the door.

"Henry!" JJ called out, chuckling.

"Ah!" The youngster replied, giggling.

"I better go catch that little gremlin." JJ said, gesturing behind her. "See you soon."

She exited and saw a familiar back Mustang drive down her street. The window rolled down and David Rossi's face appeared.

"Jennifer, Henry." he grinned, pulling into the driveway and rolling the window up.

JJ chuckled as Henry went to greet the man. "Grandpa David!" he yelled.

"Ah! Henry, you're growing!" David said, ruffling the child's hair.

"Not the hair!" he groaned.

"Won't be saying that when it's a girl doing it."

"Kimmy." JJ mouthed to him, making him chuckle loudly.

"I see that there is that girl already!" David roared, as JJ opened the front door.

"Okay, Henry get ready for bed." she said.

Henry rushed to his room, roaring away.

"What brings you here?" JJ asked, entering the kitchen with Rossi in tow.

"Spencer Reid." David simply replied. "How is he?"

"He's getting better. Want to see-"

"David Rossi!" Sandy came in, arms wide for a hug. "Last time I saw you mister, you tried to make me drunk!"

David chuckled, accepting the hug. "Sorry about that my dear but it seemed you needed a bit of a 'let your hair down' type of day."

"Well, I appreciated that. Thank you. Spencer heard you and wants to see you. The room on the left." Sandy smiled.

"Thank you. JJ." he acknowledged JJ who just shook her head smiling. He left the room, leaving the two Jareaus alone.

"How was he?" JJ asked, running the tap for some water.

"Not a bother at all! Just kept his eyes glued to that TV screen watching Alphabet or something." Sandy shrugged, starting on dinner.

"Mom, it's 'Number's." JJ chuckled.

"One or the other, madam." Sandy smiled, opening the fridge. "Casserole's for dinner."

JJ heard the doorbell and sighed. "Make that a serving for eight."

She went to the door and opened it. "Kimmy?" she asked.

"I don't know what happened but momma and Kevvy were talking and the next minute, I heard a scream and momma was on the floor, bleeding!"

"Mom, I'll be back! Rossi?!"

David rushed out of the room to meet his colleague by the door. "What's wrong?"

"Follow me." JJ said, running to the Daniels' abode. Kimmy rushed in to the living room to find Kevvy crying and trying to wake his mother up. "Kevin, what happened?"

"I got mad and threw my console at her." The child muttered, wiping his eyes.

David led the twins to the kitchen as JJ tried to wake their mother up. "Mel? Melanie, can you hear me?" she asked.

Her spare hand dialled 911 as Melanie's eyes opened and she groaned. "Oh, God... My head's on fire."

"I know, honey. Hang tight."

David entered and knelt beside the brunette. "Mrs Daniels, I'm David Rossi. You're going to be okay."

"I've phoned for an ambulance, they'll be roughly five minutes or so." JJ said, grabbing a pillow to rest under Melanie's head.

"So, what happened? Why did Kevin lash out?" David asked.

"Melanie and Jeremiah are divorcing. He's just acting out." JJ whispered, stroking Melanie's hair.

"That's... that's tough." David sighed. "I'll send the kids to yours."

JJ nodded as she watched her old friend stand up and disappear to the kitchen. She heard three pairs of footsteps leave the house.

"Mel, what was that phone call about, earlier?" JJ asked, trying to keep her friend awake.

"It was Jerry... He wants to take my kids away, Jen. He's battling for full custody and he can because... because he's a lawyer!" Melanie sobbed.

"Oh, Mel..." JJ whispered, hugging her friend.
