Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson
I fell feet first into the ground, key in hand, keeping the fall as quiet as possible, but that was not enough. Kronos heard. I just had to hope that he woldn't notice Ares's missing key. Kronos saw.
"Where is Ares's key!" Kronos yelled, I thought that the yell itself would kill me. "That stupid grandson. Show yourself, thief"
I was right next to my father's chair when time suddenly slowed down. Uh oh. I had to get outI started running full speed, but with time slowing down, Chelone could have beaten me in a race. Meanwhile Kronos was searching the throne room like a mad man. I was about halfway out of the room.
"I know you are here Demigod, and when I find I you I won't just kill you. I will make you suffer until the only substance you will be able to drink is your own blood!", and that is the PG version.
Kronos kept looking for places that I may be hiding, not knowing I was right in the middle of the room.
"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for pity, I can tell you I don't any. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long life. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let me have the key now, that'll be the end of it. I will not roast you, I will not barbecue you. And then I will not eat you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will eat you." Kronos yelled, misquoting a very good movie. If there was Netflix in Tartarus, nobody told me, but that would have made my time there a hell lot better. Pun completely intended.
Either way, I was almost out, as I slowly got away from Kronos, time began to speed up, before long Ares would be free.
"You will pay for this!" Kronos screamed, but to me it was just a faint cry. I was gone.
Thanks for reading. I think after this I will start a new story. Please post advice on what Percy's next adventure should be, and who it should be with.
