She's so young.

but not so innocent.

And compared to him,

she's just

a little girl.

And he thinks he shouldn't

be thinking

these thoughts,

feeling these

feelings.

Age is just a number.

But numbers matter.

They're a whole decade apart.

(And sometimes

it seems like light years...)

And they both

have a lot of

growing up to do.

(Oh, God, she's only 18.)

...

She's intoxicating.

Redfire hair

brightbright eyes.

Next, even he

feels plain.

She's fresh and young,

she makes him feel

so old

sometimes.

Because he's

so much older,

but not wiser.

She's the girl

who pulls all the boys in,

but scares them all away.

And she's got it

all down to a science

at only 18

...

She's only 18,

she took some

short cuts

to growing up too fast.

And it will burn them both

in the end.

Oh, I really hate to do this... But I have to. Guys, I'll be going on hiatus for about a month. I know that probably sucks for all those of you who want updates, but I have vacation. But, if by chance, I get my hands on a laptop I'll update. So, I probably will be updating sporadically, but not regularly. Sorry, guys! I love this story, and I promise I won't forget about trying to update.

So, otherwise, I hope you liked this poem and leave me a review!
