Garland vs. King
Madoka, Kenny, Gingka, and Monica were sitting in the infirmary room with Chris and Crusher, who were both still unconscious. Kenny was cleaning Crusher's BeyBlade, since it was dusted in Phantom Orion's Fusion Wheel, Madoka was repairing Orion, Monica and Gingka were sitting next to the Bladers - Monica holding Crusher's hand. Then the two woke up.
"Moses." Monica said her big brothers real name with a large smile and then hugged him.
"Monica." Crusher smiled and hugged her back.
"Did I win?" Chris asked Gingka.
Gingka nodded and proudly said: "You sure did."
"Hey." Crusher said to Chris as Monica sat back down.
"Yeah?" Chris looked over at the larger teen.
"Great match." He held out his fist.
"You know it." Chris met Crusher's fist with his.
Garland and King were walking down to the stadium floor next to each other.
"It's going to be hard to beat a battle like that." King stated, referring to Chris' and Crusher's battle.
"It doesn't matter how great our match is, just as long as we have fun." Garland said still looking ahead.
"Right." King turned from Garland.
"But I've seen you battle", Garland started, "and I'm positive this will be a great battle as well." He then smiled at King.
"Haha. Awesome!" King punched up in the air.
"But, the way Crusher and Chris battled in their third round - is how I always battle." Garland grinned at King and they stopped walking right before they got out to the stadium floor.
"What?" King was stunned.
"Yes, but-" Garland punched forward and stopped his fist before it could hit King's face. "I like to connect hits with my opponent."
"Heh." King then swatted away Garland's fist and then kicked at his side with his right leg, but Garland quickly ducked down and blocked with his left arm - even though King stopped his kick before it could connect with Garland's arm. "I'll be looking forward to this battle." King smiled widely and put his leg back down.
"Agreed." Garland smiled as he stood back up and they walked to the stadium.
"Garland and King are now making their way to the stadium!" DJ announced and the crowd roared with excitement. "Remember everyone - this battle will be a regular match, it will not be a best two out of three like the last three were."
"Anything to say about the battle, partner?" Brad asked AJ.
"All I have to say is that King better watch himself! Garland is one tough and fast cookie!" AJ replied.
"Well now I want a soft pretzel." Brad said.
"….What?" AJ questioned.
"Bladers are you ready!?" DJ asked and the two answered by taking launching positions. "In 3! 2! 1!"
"Let it rip!" King and Garland launched their BeyBlades and they collided in midair with an explosion sending them back to the stadium.
"Let's see how you do in full contact!" Garland yelled as he was in the air coming over to King.
Keep holdin' on, when my brains tickin' like a bomb
Garland dove down to land on King, but King jumped away, landing away from the stadium. Garland jumped to King again with his right fist back, but when he punched, King quickly turned away to the left. Garland quickly landed on his feet and kicked behind himself, the bottom of his shoe hitting King in the face.
Guess the black thoughts have come again to get me
Then Garland turned and punched at King again with his right, King ducked under the punch, and punched Garland in the stomach with his right. King went to punch Garland in the face with his left, but Garland grabbed his arm and quickly hit him three times: across the face, back hand to the face, and then an uppercut to the chin. Garland then used the grip he had on King's arm and threw King back to his side of the stadium and Garland jumped over back to his spot.
"Did those two just fight?" AJ asked completely stunned.
"I think so." Brad replied equally as stunned.
"Let's get back to the Bey battle for a while." Garland said as King got back to his feet.
Sweet bitter words
"Right!" King agreed.
Unlike nothing I have heard
"Attack!" Garland commanded and Apollon rushed to Variares.
"Counter!" King yelled and Variares did so. 'Good thing I put Variares' its sharp tip or else who knows what this guy could do.' King thought to himself.
The Blades collided in the center with sparks flying, they quickly bombarded each other, and then went back to colliding in a fury of sparks.
Sing along mocking bird, you don't affect me
An explosion sent them away, landing in front of their Bladers, in the stadium.
"AGAIN!"
That's right
Garland and King yelled and their BeyBlades did the same thing, but instead of an explosion sending them away; Apollon moved back and Variares got in the center. Apollon attacked and Variares reared back and swatted Apollon away!
Deliver it to my heart
"Ha." Garland laughed and then ran toward King, going to the right, around the stadium.
Please strike
Before King could react, Garland jumped and dropkicked King in the chest. King flew away from the stadium, Garland jumped in the air, and then came down to King again - but King rolled out of the way. King got to his feet, Garland dashed to him, punched with his right, and King caught the fist with his left. King then used his right hand to punch Garland across the face, back hand him, and uppercut - "Nice try."
Be deliberate
Garland stopped King's uppercut with his left hand.
Wait
Then Garland kneed King in the stomach with his right knee and then followed it by kneeing him in the chin. Garland then went to throw King back to the stadium, but when he threw King, King was holding on to his arm. King then kicked Garland in the stomach with his right foot, spun, and kicked him in the face with his left foot.
I'm coming undone
King dropped to his feet, tackled Garland to the ground, and then began to beat him in the face with both his fist. Garland caught both of King's fists, head butted him, and then while still holding King's fists; he ran back to the stadium and they were both back on their sides. 'He's mad.'
Irate
Garland thought as he kept his back turned to King.
I'm coming undone
"Attack!" King raged and the BeyBlades collided in the center and immediately exploded away. "Switch!"
Too late
Variares then switched to its wide tip. The Beys sparked in the center and King stared intently at Garland, wanting him to turn around and face him. "Hey!"
I'm coming undone
King yelled at Garland and the Blades exploded away from each other again. "Look at me!"
What looks so strong so delicate?
Variares charged to Apollon. Garland quickly spun around and kicked his right foot out, having Apollon counter Variares, sending it back to the edge in front of King. "Fine then."
Wait
King said aloud. "Defense Mode, Variares."
I'm starting to suffocate
He said with a grin coming over his face as Variares sat in the center. Garland slightly turned his head to King, but his eyes were closed, and Apollon attacked.
And soon I anticipate
When Apollon hit Variares, it was quickly knocked away to the edge in front of Garland! This caused Garland to turn around, completely surprised.
I'm coming undone
"Attack." Garland said and Apollon attacked once more just for the same thing to happen again. "Again!" And again the same thing happened. "Once more!"
What looks so strong so delicate?
Apollon smashed into Variares and they sparked wildly, Garland and King both grinned, and Variares went back into defense mode and sent Apollon back to the edge. Garland stared at Variares until - he jumped into the air, Apollon following him, and when Garland landed; Apollon smashed onto Variares' Fusion Wheel - it tumbled into the air.
"Attack mode!" Variares switched back in midair and dove back down to the stadium, diving for Apollon; but Apollon dodged it.
Choke, choke again
"ATTACK!" Garland and King yelled, both smiling, wanting the battle to be fun again.
I thought my demons were my friends
The BeyBlades exploded away again, Garland jumped through the smoke with his right fist in front of him, and his face met King's right elbow.
Getting me in the end
King then uppercuts Garland, grabs his shirt, and throws him away from the stadium. Luckily, Garland landed on his feet.
They're out to get me
"Get ready!" King called from the air as he came rushing down to Garland, but Garland took a step back, and put his leg in the air; his foot connected beautifully with King's chin - causing the teen to fall right on his back. Then Garland went to smash said foot on King, but King rolled out of the way and dead legged Garland. Garland used his attacked leg to swing the other behind him and kick King across the face! Garland punched at King's face with his right, but King blocked it with his left forearm, the two smiled at each other, and then they ran back to the stadium.
Since I was young, I tasted sorrow on my tongue
"Attack!" King commanded and Variares attacked, Garland again kicked out and Apollon sent Variares away, but while in the air Variares switched to its flat tip.
And the sweet sugar gun does not protect me
"GO!" They yelled and bright lights began to shine as their Blades collided and bounced away, causing the lights to stop.
That's right
"Apollon!" "Variares!" The BeyBlades quickly collided and went straight into the air, still colliding. They separated, quickly bombarded each other, then collided once more as they began to get closer to the ground. They started spiraling randomly creating random colors again until they created a spiraling orb that hovered just above the center of the stadium.
Trigger between my eyes
Then the two swung their right arms to the side and their Beys stopped colliding, sitting in the center. Garland jumped into the air and King followed, when King got close enough, Garland front flipped and swung his right foot down; but King blocked it with his left hand and pushed the attack away - causing Garland to back flip. King kicked at Garland with his right leg and Garland blocked it with his left arm. Garland successfully punched King in the face with his right, then went to slam both his fist on King's head, but King blocked it, and kicked Garland in the chest with both feet; sending them both back down doing back flips.
Please strike
"Reverse rotation!" King yelled and his hair spiked up becoming white and Variares began to spin left.
Make it quick now
"You're spinning to the left now, huh?" Garland questioned and King nodded. "Just like Tyson." Garland smiled with his eyes closed as his head was down and Apollon attacked.
Wait
The two collided in the center and an explosion blasted at Garland, sending Apollon to the very edge. "If you're anything like Tyson." Garland said as he came down to King with his left fist raised.
I'm coming undone
King blocked Garland's punch with his right forearm, punched him in the face with his left, and Garland was sent away to the floor, but he quickly stood to his feet. King punched Garland in the stomach with his left, punched with his right, but Garland blocked it with his left hand - protecting his face.
Irate
Garland punched King square in the face with his right, King stumbled back, Garland kicked with his left, but King grabbed his ankle, swung him around, and threw him to the ground. Garland opened his eyes ready for attack, but instead -
"Help up?" King asked with his hand out to Garland.
"Thank you." Garland smiled and took King's hand. They then went back to the stadium to continue their battle.
"Attack!" King yelled, but Apollon jumped over Variares and attacked from above.
I'm coming undone
"Keep going." Garland said and Apollon began to push Variares towards the edge.
Too late
"Ha!" King swung out his arm, Variares quickly reared back and smashed Apollon away.
I'm coming undone
Then Variares attacked again, but Apollon went straight into the air dodging the attack; and Variares followed. Apollon smashed against Variares, King laughed, and Variares switched to defense mode; blasting Apollon back to the stadium. Smoke covered the area where Apollon fell.
"Is Apollon still spinning?" DJ asked when Variares landed back in the stadium.
What looks so strong so delicate?
"Apollon!" A gold pillar blasted away the smoke.
Wait
"Yep, still spinning." DJ said.
"Radiant Thunder!" Garland yelled and attacked with his Finishing Move.
I'm starting to suffocate
"King of Thundersword!" Variares blasted out a red pillar and attacked Apollon.
And soon I anticipate
The two attacks collided creating a swirling tornado of red and gold. Variares began to push Apollon.
"Stay strong." Garland said and then Apollon began to push back.
I'm coming undone
"Variares." The Bey pushed back, but they stopped in the center.
"AAAAHHH!" They yelled and the tornado became larger and exploded!
What looks so strong so delicate!?
"Oh my eyes." DJ complained about the brightness of the explosion. "Who?" He looked at the stadium and saw Variares wobbling and an upside down Apollon. "By spinout. King is the winner!"
"That was a great match." King laid down next to a sprawled out Garland.
"Same to you." Garland looked at King with a smile and King returned it with a much larger smile causing the two to laugh. They sat up and King handed Apollon to Garland.
"Apollo." King said looking at Apollon as they stood up. "The god of light, healing, poetry, and music has lost today to Ares, the god of Mars and war." He then looked up at Garland with a small smile.
"He sure did." Garland lightly smiled, put his arm around King's shoulders, and they walked back to the prospectors room.
"Hey, doesn't this mean that the WBBA single Bladers have three wins?" An audience member asked his friend.
"Yeah, and the BBA Bladers only have one win." The friend replied.
"Let's get ready for the next battle!" DJ yelled. "Here they are: Aguma and Brooklyn!" He yelled as the two stepped into the arena.
