(Lexi's POV)
Standing up and running towards her I turn to the guards and growl, "Take these things off her hands right now!"
The guards look between me and Dimitri unsure of what to do. I was getting mad! Nobody, and I repeat nobody, puts handcuffs on my best friend.
"L-Lexi is that you? What are you doing here? Did you get sucked into that weird bubble thing too?" stuttered Anna as she stands behind me shaking like a leaf.
Turning to look at Dimitri I silently ask him to tell the guards to release Anna.
"You heard Princess Alexandra!" said Dimitri as he gave a slight nod in my direction, "Release the girl." I turned to Dimitri to give him a wide, thank you smile.
As soon as the handcuffs were off Anna's wrist she grabbed my arm and hissed, "Care to explain what's going on here?"
"Well, this is my fiance Terry," I said as I walked towards Terry and place my hand on his shoulder, "This is King Dimitri and his wife Queen Kiara and their children Aria, Seth and of course Terry and they are my soon to be in-laws. Except Terry he is my soon to be husband." I giggled as I gave Terry a kiss on his forehead.
Anna looks at me and frowns, "You introduced me to everybody but what I want to know is what that damn orange, pink, gold, black and purple bubble was! It was like somebody dumped a ton of different colors into one bucket."
Glancing at Dimitri for permission I say, "Um you're kind of in the Underworld." Anna gives me the look that says don't give me a half-assed explanation so I continue, "The Underworld is a place where every mythological being can live and the bubble you came in was a portal. It's created by magic and you use it to travel to different worlds." All of a sudden I thought of something she said, "Did you say the portal was orangish-pink and gold with black and purple mixed in?"
"Um yeah... It was super creepy!" said Anna as she shivered at the thought but right now I wasn't really paying attention to her.
Turning to Terry I said, "Is there another kind of portal in the palace besides the orange-ish, pink, and gold one?"
Terry shook his head, "No the only time a portal changes color like that is when somebody uses magic to break the magical barrier that makes the palace portal safe." said Terry with a worried look on his face.
"What do you mean other mythological beings?" said Anna in a confused voice.
Growling in frustration I turn towards Anna, "For now just think that every mythological creature you heard about is real, ok?" "Wow! That's so cool! Can I meet a witch? What about an Elf?" squealed Anna as a delighted expression took over her face.
There's one thing that can be annoying about Anna, her lack of understanding the current situation.
"Right now there's a lot of things going on so any questions you have, my son Seth can tell you." said Dimitri with a chuckle at my annoyed expression.
Pouting Anna grabbed my arm and said, "Um no thank you I'm going to stay with Lexi!"
"Anna, go with Seth he's a nice guy and will answer all your questions. I'll come see you later." Gesturing to everyone in the room I continued, "But right now we need to discuss somethings." I said with a smile as I pried her fingers off of my arm.
Crossing her arms over her chest, "Jeez relax just because you're a princess doesn't mean you have to be so uptight!" huffed Anna.
"Seth take Miss Anna to one of the guest rooms and fill her in with the current situation, even with what happened last night," said Kiara with a note of authority ringing in her voice.
"Of course Mother." walking to the door Seth looked at Anna and smiled, "If you will follow me Miss Anna."
I rolled my eyes as Anna blushed when Seth called her Miss Anna. Returning to my seat beside Terry I looked around the table and said, "How long has Anna been here?"
"Only a few minutes. We called you here as soon as she was found." said Dimitri, he was in king mode now and everything he said was in a formal tone.
"So there's no chance the portal was from last night when the Elves attacked us." said Terry with a worried expression.
Suddenly I felt very nervous so I grabbed Terry's hand, "Does that mean that more Elves are coming to attack us?
"Hey it will be ok. We're ready for them now. We've increased the security and you still have the guards following you." said Terry as he gave my hand a squeeze.
"They're following me? I haven't seen anybody following me though." I frowned.
Kiara looked at me and smiled, "They're gift is invisibility, but aside from that I think we should have the engagement ceremony moved up a few hours. We don't know what the Elves are planning to do at the engagement ceremony so we should throw in a little surprise for them." said Kiara seriously.
"What do you think? It's your engagement ceremony you decide. " said Dimitri as he turned to look at Terry and I.
"That's fine." said Terry after he looked at me to see if I agreed, "You already had the ceremony planned without us, so I don't think it will matter if it's today or tomorrow."
Standing up Dimitri said, "Kiara, inform the guests of the change. Sawyer, go with Terry to pick out his tuxedo, and Aria take Lexi get her ready for the ceremony. We only have a few hours to get ready."
"Wait! Um I am just asking but do you mind if Kyle comes to the ceremony as well? He's been really nice and cooked delicious food ever since I got here and I'm sure Aria will agree to go with him if I ask her nicely." I said in one breath as I glanced at Aria to see her horrified and delighted expression.
Looking between Aria and I, Kiara seemed to understand what I was trying to say, "That is a wonderful idea thank you for thinking of it Lexi. You don't mind do you Aria? I know you usually go with Seth to these kind of gatherings but this year I think he should go with Lexi's friend Anna." said Kiara as she looked at me with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Oh um no of course not!" stuttered Aria as she shot me a grateful look, "We'll tell Kyle of the plans on our way to the Royal hair dressers."
After giving Terry a quick kiss I followed Aria out of the room and said, "Be nice to me Aria! I just got you a date with your boyfriend!"
"He's not my boyfriend!" protested Aria weakly as she tried not to smile.
I rolled my eyes and giggled, "He's not your boyfriend, yet, and do you think we could pick up Anna before we start to get ready for the ceremony? I'm sure she'll need to get ready too."
"Sure." said Aria quietly, "Hey Lexi, now that your best friend is here can I be your other bestfriend?" mumbled Aria as she looked down at the ground.
Draping my arm around her shoulders, "Of course! Anna's my bestfriend but you'll be family!" I grinned as we started running down the hall.
