Chapter 25. Jacen's Last Stand

Coruscant

All reports confirmed that the Sith Imperial fleet was on its way to Coruscant. So Luke and Jacen were placed in joint command of the allied forces made up of Chiss rebel forces, Hapan fleet, the Hutt Defiance, Yuuzhan Vong war confederacy, and the capital ships of the Alliance. Even the Ssi Ruuk had sent a fleet to help fight as they were being threatened by Darth Cadeus. The Jedi Temple had been evacuated.

Jacen was with Tenel Ka her ship would to Honoghr with a Noghri guard and Leia until the battle was decided. The doors opened and in walked Vallin Horn, "Its time!"

Tenel kissed Jacen, "Promise me you will come back…"

He smiles, "I will always be with you…" They kiss again, then Jacen walks Tenel and Allana who is 11 years old. He stares down on Allana, "I have something for you kid…" He hands her a lightsaber. Tenel shakes her head disapprovingly as Allana ignites it. It has a green blade like Jacen's.

"Sir enemy ships coming out of hyperspace in sector 5…" The COM officer yelled.

"Red alert all fighters attack!"

Within the first few seconds of battle over 300 fighters were destroyed. The majority of them belonging to the Alliance. "Concentrate fire on those Vong ships…" Cadeus orders. Then he reaches out his mind to Jacen. ("Jacen Solo! Let us meet at the Jedi Temple where you and I can have our battle…If you kill me my apprentice will withdraw from Coruscant…But if any other Jedi intervene she will detonate a thought bomb on the surface of Coruscant…every sentient person on Corsucant will die…")

Amidala Jade Skywalker flew a modified Stealth X she took from a junk yard and remodeled it. Unlike most Stealth Xs hers was equip with shields. She vaporized two Sith fighters at the same time and looped her ship around searching for command ships. She fired her shadow-bombs at the bridge a battle cruiser and destroyed it. Her counsel flashed red as three fighters were on her tail. She flew towards a Sith warship ducking and diving using their own anti-fighter guns to destroy her pursuers.

"So there you are…" Amidala said focusing her attention on Divas' ship. She pointed her ship towards the massive vessel and crashed her fighter into the side of the ship after ejecting. Amidala boarded the vessel and killed an engineer taking his uniform.

The Jedi Temple

The Temple was abandoned and when Cadeus landed in front of the building the doors were open. Jacen was waiting in the foyer with his saber drawn. Cadeus walked across the marble floor, "I didn't think you would show…"

"Funny I was going to say the same thing about you…"

Jacen grabs a pillar in the force and rips it off throwing it at Cadeus who fades his body. They leap into the air at the same time. When they land they drop into the Vong-shii technique. The Vong-Shii was a combination of the Vong fighting style and form I if lightsaber style. The blade was held in an awkward so that it always appeared the user was open to attack. Not so…as it the blade's position could be switched and redirected killing the opponent. It was good for both offense and defense. The blade was held with two hands in a stabbing motion downward are upward depending on the guard hold.

It was also held close to the body and despite the deceptive style it utilized every inch of the blade. Both Jacen and Cadeus used the force to enhance their speed as they dueled one another. They locked blades and force pushed against each other as they glared at each other. Then Cadeus grabs the ceiling above them and brings it down on them both. Jacen dives to the side as Cadeus raises his hands stopping the debris and throws it at Jacen. He runs forward sliding under the debris and comes up on his knees throwing his lightsaber and sending lightening at the clone.

Cadeus bats the lightsaber to the side and leaps at Jacen. Jacen grabs his arm and snaps it. Cadeus smiles, "Now die!" Cadeus takes his two fingers and shove them into Jacen's chest. Jacen gasps, "Like it? I have been working on it ever since you used the shatterpoint technique on me…I call it the force breaker…Every force cell in your body has just been ruptured…" Jacen's skin cracked and as it did specks of light shined through. His eyes glowed, his mouth, and nose, as the cracks spread across the body and he vanished.

The DIVAS

Amidala stood in the hangar of Divas' ship with her severed arm in her hand. The lightwhip was still attached as Darth Divas flew away. Then she felt Jacen die and her father Luke calling her to retreat. Amidala sliced into a Sith fighter and left the Divas.

Darth Divas' hand had been replaced with a cybernetic one. It was the second time she faced Amidala Jade Skywalker and the second time she lost a lightwhip to her. She walked beside Darth Cadeus as they entered the state building in victory. The allied forces had retreated when Jacen died. "After we destroy the Skywalker and his Jedi will proceed to the unknown regions and destroy Darth Traya…"
