Chapter 25: I Have A Bad Encounter With Hephaestus Kids

Andromeda's POV

Another attempt was made to kidnap me. Really, seriously, after all the shit that I've had to put up with you would think that someone would just leave me alone. But, no, they only got as far as the front door before I cursed them into rocks. Let's just say that Tom Riddle lost two more followers. Of course he most likely had two more to take their place. Ginny and Luna thought the whole thing was just way too funny. I decided to play one funny trick on old Tommy.

Turn the Dementors against him.

I waited until the dark of the moon and snuck out of the castle. I didn't want to get caught by Longbottom, as he was most likely looking for any reason to haul me before the Headmaster. When I opened the door I ran right into Snape.

"Miss-."

"Oh bother I don't have time for this," I said. "And what are you doing out of bed?"

"I believe that I'm the one that asks that question," Snape told me.

"I'm taking care of another attempt to kidnap me," I told him. "So I believe that I have a valid reason to be out."

"Yes, I heard about that," Snape said. "The Dark Lord isn't happy that he didn't get you. But that doesn't mean that you have the right to be out."

"This is all part of my job, my quest," I told him. "Father never mentioned that I have to follow all the rules."

I ducked under him and made my way to the stone circle that I had seen at the beginning of term.

Doing the ritual to summon three Dementors isn't as hard as you might think, if you're a child of Hades. Reminding them of who their true Master is will be a piece of cake. It's also a good idea to remind them of what Hades will think of them if they should disobey me. I reached the stone circle and took out a sack that my father had given me when I had left. The stones inside came from the Underworld and it would be a reminder of whom their master is. I placed them all around the circle and then stood outside it.

" (Come forth and hear me)," I commanded. " (As daughter of Hades, I command three dementors to come forth)."

Nothing happened and then three dementors arrived within the confines of the circle.

" (We don't answer to you)," the first one said.

" (The half immortal Tom Riddle gives us what we need)."

I glared at them and said, " (Have you forgotten that my father gave you the power that you have. If you do not turn against Tom Riddle then I will have that power revoked. I will turn you into something that you hate, something that will make you wish for your old lives."

They all laughed and the middle one said, " (You don't possess that power)."

" (Want to find out)?" I asked them.

The tone of my voice made them shake, but the one that spoke said, " (Try taking what we are away. It won't work, as you don't have that authority)."

The stones glowed at his words and they all screamed as I pulled at their essence, changing it. They all begged in Greek to stop, but I didn't. They had pissed me off, caused torment to mortals that wasn't needed, and had spoken above their rank. Their forms changed and standing there were three children around eight.

"What have you done to us?" the middle one asked.

"Simple, made you mortal," I told him. "And now you will live your lives as mortals and meet your ends, like mortals do."

Let's just say, they weren't happy.

I carted them off to some orphanage and then returned to the school. It was still dark outside and all I wanted to do was go and lie down and sleep. Of course that's not exactly how it happened. I got sucked into something and vanished. When I came to my senses I was tied up in a chair, several swords pointed at me.

"Well hello, Miss Lestrange," said the middle. "We've been expecting you."

"Who the heck are you?" I asked him.

"We're the Society for Underground Dwellers and we're not taking any crap from you or others like you. We're the children of Hephaestus and we demand respect."

And then that's when I noticed something else. The Society for Underground Dwellers were little people. Oh great, I'm being held captive by the black sheep of the Hephaestus clan. Little people, little women and men that looked like I had done something wrong.

"Excuse me, but what have I done to the tiny people?" I asked them.

"You're full grown, you think about the answer to that question."

"Yeah, when dad had to recognize us we were laughed at," a woman said. "We demand full rights and who's better to give it to us then a child of Hades."

"We want you to march to Mt. Olympus and demand that father tell his fully grown children to give us some credit."

"It's closed," I told them. "There's a war against Gaia going on and their personalities are split."

"Don't make excuses, tall one."

"And you don't have the right kind of binds," I told him and I vanished, though I heard one of them say, "We're going to attack Hogwarts."

"What happened to you?" Ginny asked when I appeared in the common room.

"We have to batten down the hatches," I told her.

She stared at me and asked, "Why?"

"Blaise 'family' is coming and their little people," I told her and she laughed, "It's not funny. Apparently their mad that their tall siblings make fun of them and so they're going to attack Hogwarts."

"Oh dear gods, I knew there were strange people in every family."

"Wait a minute, Hephaestus has midgets in his blood," Seamus said.

"Yep and they have declared war on us," I told him.

"Oh this is going to be the strangest battle that I've ever been in," Ginny said.

"Don't remind me," I said. "They look cute, until the teeth come out."

A/N: Yeah, little people making war against tall people. Now that's the funniest thing that I've written.
