By the time Kali and Adilah got to the camp where the small pride was, Uzuri was asleep...in Hakuna's paws, a half eaten antelope in the middle. Kali watched as Adilah nuzzled Kopa, before turning her attention back to Almasi who glared at her. Taking a seat next to Rita the prince started a conversation with the bronze lioness, "What happened between them?"

Rita glanced towards the direction of his homeland, "They had an argument...over Doka."

Kali nodded, "When I found Adilah, her and Doka were in a heated argument...when I made myself known Adilah was standing nose to nose with him, looking like she was about to rip his head off."

"I wouldn't blame her." Rita sighed, "I miss my mother."

Kali placed a paw on her shoulder, "She'll be proud of you, looking after the Prideland's heirs."

Rita forced a smile, "If only them monsters didn't attack us, then everything would be normal."

Kali raised an eyebrow, "But then Almasi wouldn't have met such an awesome lion." Kali smirked a smirk he knew would make the lionesses back in his old home swoon, "Or Adilah wouldn't have met Hakuna."

Rita chuckled, "He hated me when we first met, I'm not too sure why, maybe because he was afraid of being left behind."

"Probably." Kali agreed, smiling when he saw Almasi hug her sister, "Well Miss, it's been nice talking with you but my fair maiden calls for me." Kali stood up and walked over to where Almasi had decided was a nice spot to sleep.

Rita smiled, "Go get her tiger."

Hakuna gazed down at the sleeping cub in his paws, a soft smile on his face. The rogue smiled at Adilah as she laid down next to him, "Hey." The honey eyed lion greeted softly.

"Oh Hakuna," Adilah rested her head on his shoulder, "I want so badly to return home, to my mother." The lioness looked at the ground, "But I don't want to be selfish and risk our lives," Adilah turned her gaze to Uzuri, "I want her to meet her mother."

Hakuna closed his eyes, he knew this was coming, ever since he showed up. "I think you should do what you think is right."

Adilah peered at Hakuna, "That's just it! I don't know what's right!"

"How much do you want to see your mother?"

"I'll give anything to see her."

Hakuna swallowed the lump in his throat, "Well what do you want to do? We could return to the Pridelands or keep going to the pride with the tyrant king."

Adilah sighed, "I want to return to the Pridelands...but leaving those lionesses would be unfair."

Hakuna nodded, "I see."

"But Rita said my mother was pregnant when she left, I would love to see him."

Hakuna nodded again, "But to see him I would have to kill his father."

Adilah shrugged, "I'm sure Kopa would love to do it."

"He's not ready."

Adilah sighed, "Hakuna, I really want to see my mum." The lioness pressed herself against him.

Hakuna looked amused, "I want you to see your mum."

Adilah battered her eyebrows, "Well take me to see my mum."

Hakuna blew a strand of his mane out of his eyes, "If you want..."

Adilah pecked him on the cheek, "I love you, we'll leave tomorrow." The lioness snuggled into his side. Glancing around he saw Almasi curled up next to Kopa while Kali slept next to her, his head resting on her hip. Rita was asleep on a low branch hanging above the three lions. Groaning, Hakuna rubbed his face with his paw, What have I gotten myself into?

~O~

True to her word, Adilah was up bright and early, "Hakuna!" She tugged on his ear in a childish manner, "Get up! We're leaving soon!"

Hakuna groaned and put his paw over his eyes, "Me and my big mouth..." Hakuna opened an eye when it went quiet, seeing no one there he he sat up, a big a stupidity scream Adilah flung herself at him, landing on top of him.

The lioness gazed down at him, a small but lovingly smile on her face, Hakuna simply grinned cockily. Adilah's eyes went wide when she was flipped over, belly up.

"I win." Hakuna whispered in Adilah's ear, touching his nose with hers.

Adilah frowned, "Whatever." The lioness tried pushing him off but he stayed still, "Hakuna!" The princess whined, "Let me up!"

Hakuna closed his eyes, "Your so beautiful." The rogue rubbed his cheek against Adilah's, "You don't know how sorry I am for leaving you." Hakuna opened his eyes, silently pleading with Adilah.

"Oh Hakuna," Adilah nuzzled the rogue back, "It's ok, you came back," The lioness under him pulled on one of his bangs, "Besides, it's not like your leaving anytime soon."

Hakuna laughed, leaning in for a kiss, "Of course not my princess-"

"Oh GROSS!"

The pair turned to see Kopa standing there with his eyes closed, one paw covering his eyes.

"Yes Kopa?" Adilah asked from her position under Hakuna.

Kopa removed his paw from his eyes, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with his sister, "Um, everyone wants to know what the plan is, uh, are we leaving or...?"

Hakuna stepped aside so he could let Adilah up, smiling as she walked to her brother.

~O~

"We're going home?" Almasi asked from her perch on a rock, a smile slowly forming on her face.

Adilah nodded, "It's going to be hard, but we'll try."

"What's the plan?" Kali asked, his green eyes eager.

Adilah smirked, "We're leaving today, along the way we'll hunt and train from it."

Kali shrugged, "Eh, it'll do."

Adilah glanced at her small pride, then at her love, Hakuna. Soon her life would be perfect.
