Twenty-Five
Prompt: A preview of my newest book titled 'Christmas' which will come out when I'm close to done with it. I, honestly, don't feel like writing right now. Regardless, I made a promise and I worked hard to keep it. Till I got grounded but I still got the chapters out. Dedicated to imdrowninginfootwear for her great 'Truth or Dare' and 'Never Have I Ever' books. If you're reading this it was fantastic. I never imagined Alaric and Damon together lol. Please check it out. They are both completed. Merry Xmas and if you don't celebrate have a great day. Special thanks to chambersjordan for following and another one issued to ActingOut90 for favoriting and any other user that follows/favorites once I officially complete this book. Thanks for making this worthwhile.
"You are being dramatic," Caroline screams frustrated. "I just want you to come with me to Mystic Falls."
"Caroline, I'd rather stake myself than go visit your backstabbing friends," he yells right back. Klaus tries to breathe. He realizes he's being 'dramatic' but Klaus doesn't see the appeal in pretending to like the same group of friends that tried to murder (and vice versa) him.
Rebekah busts into the room, almost, as irritated as the pair having a 'lovers quarrel' in Nik's room though Caroline spends more time in there than her own. "You are vampires and hybrids you can hear each other if you were whispering which news flash you aren't."
"Not now, little sister," Klaus bites out.
"Rebekah, help me out. He's being completely unreasonable."
"Right," Klaus rolls his eyes.
"Sorry, you going to have to refresh my memory on what he did this time. I couldn't hear my ears were to busy bleeding." Rebekah responds annoyed. It happens all the time. They fight. They have loud makeup sex. They both don't care that his siblings are in the other room or in the house in general.
"Christmas Eve is in four days and I want to fly back home. I, of course, want to spend it with my family, but Klaus refuses to come with me." Caroline replies slightly less temperamental but still heated.
"Right," Rebekah nods, "I agree with Nik."
"Thank you, little sister," Klaus pats her on the shoulder going to stand beside her. "This is why your my favorite." Klaus kisses her on the cheek.
"I'm resent that," Kol responds suddenly in Klaus' room's door frame. He was, like everybody else, annoyed with their thirty-minute argument. It was quite irritating to say at the least. "I agree with Caroline. Going back to Mystic Fall sounds intriguing."
"You can't murder anybody," Caroline responds knowing why he loved an excuse to go back to his death ground.
"Then that's dumb." Kol quickly changes his answer.
"We can all go. It'll be fun!" Caroline rationalizes. "You can see Stefan." Caroline knows if she can get the Original Blonde to agree then they can both convince the rest of her newly formed family to tag along with the pair.
"Point being."
"There isn't one. I'm just simply saying Klaus can see an old friend and you know Stefan's not with Elena anymore."
"Good for him. Elena is a selfish, needy, and an embarrassment to the gender of women." Rebekah responds not letting her inner turmoil show.
"Rebekah, it'll give you an excuse to shop till you drop." Caroline's desperate to find a legal reason for them to show up which by the way is unreasonably hard.
Rebekah scoffs. "I don't need a reason. Buuut if Nik goes, I will."
"So now all I have to do is get you to say yes," Caroline has a new gleam of hope and determination in her eyes as she looks into Klaus' blue orbs.
"Expect I refuse to sit across from the bitchy doppelganger that not only tried to murder me, but just as many times stabbed me in the back. Besides these friends, your so fond of can also lose a heart and I get really...moody," Klaus smirks obviously imagining the scene vividly taking place in front of him.
"What's all this talk about Mystic Falls?" Katherine Pierce questions smiling at Klaus' sour expression. She always was able to put Klaus in bad mood. It's a skill she takes great pride in.
"I want to go home for the holiday but they refuse to go with me." Caroline pouts.
"I think that's a lovely idea," Elijah responds resting his hand on Katherine's shoulder. This action earning the Mikaelson bunch to gage. "Let's go," Elijah says shoving his siblings out of the room to pack.
"I hope you know I only ride first class." Katherine reminds Elijah. She kisses him.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Elijah tells her smiling.
The Mikaelson siblings, apart from Elijah, grumble to their rooms. Klaus staying in his room complaining about having to be within ten steps of Elena and be able to commit homicide.
Caroline steps behind Klaus. She securely wraps her hands around his torso, nuzzling his neck. "I appreciate it, Klaus."
"Did I have a choice?"
"There's always a choice...You just made the smartest."
Klaus rolls his eyes before spinning her around. He gets so close to her face she can feel his breath on her lips. Caroline continues as if she didn't just get turned on, "I appreciate your sacrifice." Klaus hums.
Finally, she kisses him. She wraps her legs around his waist. Klaus moves slightly making-
"Pack, you bloody aroused teenagers," Rebekah screams making Caroline jump off of him and Klaus growl in disapproval.
"OK, damn," Caroline smiles at Klaus' annoyed expression. Caroline pecks him on the lips. "I need to pack, but we can always continue after I'm done."
"Can't wait," Klaus winks.
