Sorry if this chapter is kind of boring, I really did not know what to write for it. Writers block sucks. But please bare with me, the next chapter should improve slightly.

~Vic~

My brother and his girlfriend stood there looking at the two men, confused and shocked.

'I think we should tell them the whole story, it's the only way they'll understand,' I whispered.

Joe and Jenny sat down on one of the couches, I sat next to them, Jack and Will were to our left and the girls were in front of us, making a U shape.

'Why do I get the feeling that this story will not involve two actors?' Joe asked worried.

'Well you see it all started on the day of the year 11 and 12 swimming get together,' Becca began.

We all took turns to tell different parts of the story, the two adults stayed quiet for the whole tale, the shock on their faces growing.

'And here they are,' I finished, watching trying to gage their responses.

Joe had on a stony mask and said nothing.

'Wow,' Jenny finally muttered breaking the awkward silence that had grown.

My eyes stayed on my brother's face; eventually he looked up from the ground. All eyes were on him, I expected him to shout at us, call us lyres, but instead he cracked up laughing.

The deadly silent room was filled with his booming laughter; Jenny was looking at him like he was crazy. I knew it, I knew he wouldn't believe us; I looked down at my hands, a pout forming on my mouth and tears starting to sting, I refused to look up even when Joe finally calmed down, only letting out soft chuckles.

'Joseph!' Jenny whispered, sounding furious and seeing the look of hurt on our faces and slapping him on the arm.

'What?' he asked bewildered, noticing the atmosphere he sighed and explained his behavior, 'I always thought you weren't telling the truth about being kidnapped, when you came back the dots just didn't seem to connect, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to pressure you into talking about something you might not be comfortable with talking about, I was just imagining something much worse than that.'

There seemed to be a collective sigh go around the room.

'About the clothes, they could borrow Joe's, I'm sure he wont' mind, will you?' Jenny offered laughing at the mock glare she received from her boyfriend.

'Sure, but Jenny has to go get them,' he replied, smiling, then flinched away as Jenny slapped him across the head.

'I'll go too,' Kirsten proposed, both of the girls stood up and left the room.

As the door closed after them an uncomfortable silence fell over the group again. Becca started clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth and silently and slowly clapping her hands together, Jack and Will were looking around the room avoiding anyone's eyes. Joe was sitting back in his chair quite comfortable; unaware of the menacing atmosphere he is projecting.

'So you're engaged,' he stated sitting forward slightly, making the other people in the room jump, I nodded as a response, 'So that's where the ring came from, I always wondered why you always kept it around your neck…anyway, I'm happy for you, although I would never have thought you would be the first to get married.' He smiled to let the others know he wasn't mad I started to relax then. My family means a lot to me, knowing that my big brother approves, well that takes a load off my back.

Not long after Kirsten and Jenny walked back in the room, Kirsten handed the clothes she is holding to Will, Jenny handed hers to Jack.

'You can shower first,' Will offered, looking at Jack, who nodded and stood up. Kirsten must have done a good job at teaching them what to do because he didn't need any help turning the tap on or anything.

'Anyway, we're gonna go watch a movie or something,' Jenny exclaimed; she stood up also pulling my brother to his feet 'We'll go, see ya later,' she added, grabbing her bag and heading towards the door.

'See ya,' I shouted after them as they ran from the room.

'Well that went well,' Becca stated, smiling. Kirsten and I laughed, Will just continued to look confused.

'Why don't we watch a movie or something,' I asked walking over to the carbonate. Pulling out the first one I saw I looked at the cover, Disney's 'Cinderella.' Perfect, I placed it in the player and sat back down, turning the TV on.

Once the film had ended the two men had showered and were now dressed in the modern clothing. Kirsten and Jenny have good taste, both are dressed in jeans, Will black where as Jack is wearing blue. The girls decided that Will would be wearing a plain black t-shirt, the look looks good on him, but Jack, well that brought my breath away. He was given a plain white t-shirt; it is tight fitting and shows off his muscles nicely. His jeans have strings of beads hanging from one of the belt loops. His hands, although much cleaner, are still full of rings. He practically looked like Johnny Depp with dreadlocks and a bandanna; he still has the beads hanging from his hair and beard. Will has his hair tied back in a mini ponytail with a hair tie.

'So what do you think of the clothes?' Kirsten inquired, throwing the question in the direction of the men who are standing next the couch that us three are curled up on.

'They are odd,' Will answered, fussing with his shirt sleeves.

'These clothes are so tight, nothing like my old clothes, they were so much comfier,' Jack added moving around and wriggling, trying to loosen the clothes.

'You'll got used to them, besides they look good on you,' I replied, stopping his movements and smiling. The two men sighed, giving up.

'Guys I'm gonna go put the dirty clothes in the wash,' I said grabbing the basket the clothes had been thrown into and leaving the room.

~Kirsten~

Vic is right; the clothes that Jenny and I chose do look good on the pirates. Will sat down on the couch next to me; Jack sat next to Vic's newly vacated seat.

'So what now?' Becca asked, looking at me. I shrugged and leaned back in the seat.

There isn't anything we really can do, we can't go in the house and risk another one of Vic's family coming home and we can't go for a walk, as it would cause problems if anyone recognized the pirates.

'We could watch another movie?' I suggested.

Becca and I stood up to search the carbonate, when Vic walked in we were still in the 'C' section. She joined us in the search, the men watched slightly confused.

Eventually we settled on another Disney movie 'Peter Pan', I placed it in the DVD player and sat back down next the Will; Vic is on my left with Jack next to her. She had her head resting on his shoulder with Jack's arm slung around hers.

Will placed his arms around my shoulders and I lean into him. Becca is on a beanbag in front of us on the floor. Earlier we had moved the beds out of the way and stacked them in a pile.

Right as Peter is about to introduce Wendy to the mermaids the home phone started to ring. I paused the movies as Vic stood up to grab the cordless device.

'Hello,' she said holding it to her ear. 'Oh hey Grandma, what's up? Okay, yep, yep, thankyou, okay yep, bye, bye, love you, see ya,' she hung up the phone and placed it back on the charging dock.

'What's up?' I asked, watching as she sat back down next to Jack and resumed her old position.

'That was Grandma, her and Grandad won't be home tonight, they're staying at my Aunt's and Uncle's,' she replied, then adding as an after thought 'she also said that there are leftovers in the fridge if we want them, but I don't think there'll be enough for all of us.'

'We could make bubble and squeak,' Becca suggested, lying back on the beanbag and looking at us.

'What's that?' Jack asked, furrowing his brow.

'It's a leftover dish, you mix mash potatoes with meat and vegetables in one big pan and fry it,' I replied, 'We can easily make it and can add more mash if we have to,' I added looking to Vic for approval.

'Sounds great, we can start after the movie has finished,' she smiled, we settled back down into the couch and turned the movie back on.

~Becca~

'Well time to cook,' Kirsten smiled, she loves cooking, Vic not so much, she started grumbling but stood up anyway.

The other girls walked to the kitchen and got out everything we needed, the pirates walked through the double doors on the left, I followed after, with Vic and Kirsten's okay.

Cooper pricked his head up and watched us as we walked in the door, seeing who it is he jumped off the armchair he was lying on and lunged over the couch.

'Don't worry, he wont hurt you,' I reassured them as I started to pet the dog. Eve came waddling along after the larger dog; I bent down so I could pet her as well.

'This place is so strange,' Jack muttered, gazing around the room.

'Well we are technically in an alternate dimension,' I replied, standing up again.

'Who would have thought that his is where you three live,' Will added also looking around the room.

'Oh no, Kirsten and I don't live here, we're just here for Christmas,' I replied.

'It's small and cozy, I like it,' Jack interjected, resuming his wandering.

~Jack~

I stopped at one of the tables and picked up one of the many photo frames that are on it. My love's grandmother seems to love her family very much.

I inspect the frame curiously; there are five people in the photo.

One two girls and three boys, it starts off with the oldest, a female then two males and finishing off with another female holding a baby. The children all seem to be in age order. The oldest, the girl looks to be very similar to my love, in fact it could be her if not for the extremely curly hair framing her face.

I was broken out of my musing by a hand on my shoulder.

'They're my siblings,' Vic muttered leaning her head on my arm, she pointed to each person in turn, 'Raylynn, Joe, Oliver, me and Junior.' She whispered, looking teary 'this was taken before Oliver...'

I placed the frame back on the table and pulled her in for a hug, she sighed and hugged me back.

'Anyway that doesn't matter, I'm gonna go set the table,' she said, walking away.

'I'm going to see if Kirsten needs any help,' Will muttered moving out of the room, leaving me alone with orange haired one, which I shall now name matchstick.

Matchstick stepped closer and stopped right I front of me, smiling brightly, she looks like the perfect image of innocence.

'Just to let you know, if you hurt my mum, I'll kill you,' well there goes the innocence…

She stepped back and skipped off to the kitchen, still smiling and leaving me to stand in the middle of the lounge room utterly bewildered as I watch her retreating back, 'Oh and tell Will the same thing,' she threw over her shoulder as an afterthought.

~Will~

The dinner although looked…um…unappetizing to say the least, was surprisingly delicious. Once we had finished the dirty plates were loaded into this giant machine, a 'dishwasher' I think it was called. Lady Vic went about locking all the doors to the house whilst we walked back outside. Wait are the girls ladies, I mean they are obviously ladies, I should address them as such, but they're also pirates…I'm confused, lets just stop thinking about that.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Kirsten handing me one of he mattresses that were standing in the corner of the room.

'We don't have enough for one each so, we'll either have to double up or you guys can sleep on the couch,' she mused, arranging the makeshift beds so they would all fit in the room. I stayed silent, not knowing what to answer, I should let the ladies decided otherwise it wouldn't be very gentlemanly; I may be a pirate, but I'm still a gentlemen.

Whilst working out the sleeping arrangements Vic came in, holding two large, plastic bowls.

'Thought we might want some chips and popcorn,' she said placing them on the counter and out of the way.

'Mum, you and Jack are on one mattress, Aunty and Will are on another and I have the last,' Rebecca announced, jumping onto her claimed mattress.

'Sure, anyway what do you guys want to do?' Vic replied, rearranging her blankets so they are neat then climbing on top of them.

Jack lay down next to her; I awkwardly sat on the mattress that had been allocated whilst Kirsten sat next to me.

'Lets sing,' Kirsten shouted throwing her arms up in the air and bursting into laughter.

'Noooo,' Vic shouted hiding her face in Jack's shoulder.

'We could watch another movie,' Rebecca suggested, everyone nodded his or her agreement. We decided to change into our sleeping clothes before choosing the movie. For Jack and I it's just a pair of tracksuit pants and a t-shirt.

After a few moments of deliberation we finally settled on Disney's 'Mulan'. Becca fell asleep near the end, Jack and Vic followed soon after the movie had ended, her head resting on his chest.

~Kirsten~

With my own head resting on Will's chest I lay there in a content silence. The room is noiseless; all I can hear is the quiet thrum of his heart and soft snores of my friends.

'I've missed you,' I whispered burying my face further into his shirt.

'I've missed you too,' he replied lifting his hand threading his fingers through my hair.

My eyes close and I can feel myself drifting off to sleep, we didn't have to talk anymore after that. Just those few words were all we needed to express our feelings for each other.
