100 reviews, holy poop. I never expected to make it this far in the story but I guess that perseverance is a virtue.

The Night of the Crazy Kevin

Kevin's POV

It had been a couple of days since I sealed myself in my room. I was hungry, thirsty, and tired, yet I was still craving for the prescience of a female. Every time one would pass by the door I would salivate, then beat my head against a wall to wipe out the illicit images that flooded my mind. At times I would even claw against the door and whine like an earth dog and one of them would come up to the door.

The time of the year that my people were supposed to love was one that I was hating right now. I was, as humans called it, horny and the feelings would not subside. You see, in Klausian tradition a male and a female are to find a mating partner the month before the month of fertility and I did, but she is all the way back home right now probably suffering the same issues. I pray that she did not seek another mate.

On my home world, if your mate is not present during the month of fertility, you must either go to the priests and receive an inoculation to prevent the heat in our loins or go down a much shadier path and find a replacement for that mate. This of course is heresy of the worst kind. If you are caught cheating on your mate during the month of fertility you are to either join the order of the priests or the military for eternity, if you are a male, or join a temple of nuns for eternity if you are a female.

It may seem like such a harsh punishment, but one must understand that these laws have been active since our war with the Draganians. Back then it wasn't just a month of fertility, sometimes they were extended to two or three and in some occasions males were allowed to mate with up to forty females. That was during the war, now we have become more restrained and more civilized compared to our Draganian counterparts who mate whenever they want to, just like the humans.

The one thing that I despise about this planet and its people is how openly sexual they are. For instance, if brothels were openly advertising as they are here they would be shut down and the punishments would be given according to who did what and how many times they did it.

Another is the access of sexual materials. Back on Klausia, there were no such things as condoms or birth control. Mating was mating and if a child was made then that child would be born and celebrations would be heard. Humanity is so difficult to understand and yet I like them.

KNOCK

KNOCK

"Who is it?" I asked the knocker.

"Kevin its me, Emily."

Suddenly my ears and something below perked up at the recognition of the human female . Again I started salivating and thoughts of opening the door came to mind, but the more rational me spoke up. Thank the priests.

"Hello Emily. Why do you come knocking?"

"Kevin, I was ordered by Marcas to visit you because you have not exited your room in approximately two days."

"I know" I simply answered,"I am just experiencing a bit of cold."

'I hope that she does not have any further questions, otherwise that door is going down' I thought as I took in a deep breath.

"That is quite peculiar Kevin. Judging from your profile, Klausians are very resilient against bacteria and other sorts of germs. That is why the Draganians did not use biological weapons against you and your people. You even told me this when I gave you an examination."

My mind went blank all of a sudden. The hair on the back of my neck rose and blood rushed to my member. Then like a flash I ran at the door and rammed into it. On the other side I could hear Emily fall backwards, she was in a vulnerable position. Quickly I rammed the door again, this time breaking through. My arm flew forward, reaching for the human, but I instead grabbed scales. It took me a moment to realize who I was grabbing before I stood up.

"Glad I came down this way when I did, otherwise Emily probably would have been messed up and bad." Drak said as he twisted me around and pulled my arm behind my back.

"Let me go you Zorhoole-frakit!" I yelled.

By this moment it was quite obvious that I was not thinking rationally because I just said the ultimate insult that you could to a Draganian, insult their clan markings. Drak oddly enough did not throw me across the room, which was what I was wanting. Instead he shoved me back into my room and stood in the hallway, a blow torch in hand. With haste he welded the door into the frame, sealing me in again. Then he activated the blast doors to cover the new door that he had made and walked away with Emily.

Once things had settled and once I had regained my sanity I felt like a quorerg, a foul beast that was hunted to extinction on Klausia. I hated myself because I lost control and I did not warn Emily like I should have.

'She must think that I am a quoreg' I thought as I buried my head in my hands.

After something like that the best thing to have done would be to get some rest, but after that fiasco I would not be getting any. During the month of fertility all senses are heightened and not just to increase the intensity of the mating experience but also to protect those that are mating. Down the hall I could hear the familiar sound of steel plated boots coming towards the door.

"Marcas?" I asked.

"Kevin, what is going on with you?"

"I uh,"

"From what I can understand you almost did something to Emily that would have gotten you kicked off of the team."

"I am sorry."

I could hear everything with my hypersensitive ears. I could hear his foot thumping against the solid steel floor outside along with his heartbeat, which by its pace was indicating a stress of somekind. I must have given him a scare.

"Emily was surprised by your actions, but she is willing to forgive you...and this forgiveness comes with a condition."

"What is this condition?"

"You are to explain to me why you tried to have your way with her."

This of all things would be difficult to explain, not because I did not know how to explain it, but the reason behind me acting the way that I am. Marcas might not understand because of Humanity and their independence. Mankind, compared to all Klausians, believes that all can make choices by themselves, we do not. After a powerful group of thinkers took over the government after the war, only a select few were allowed to teach or even go to college for that matter. Me, well I was shoved into the military like all of the rest of us were. We really were not taught to think, but to act on instinct.

"Marcas, it is a long process that has taken decades to shape and it has been accepted. It is my duty to the priests and to all of the Klausian Federation to mate during the month of fertility."

"And why didn't you tell Emily about that in your medical examination?"

"It was because I was embarrassed. You humans have the luxury to choose when you mate, we Klausians do not. So it has been programmed into my mind to relieve myself of all the sexual tension during this time of the year."

There was a moment of silence between us. Then I heard Marcas say, "You sound like a child going through puberty you know that?" He said in a most serious tone. "Children say that they can't control themselves and shift the blame to something or someone else. Kevin, you can't blame the priests and whoever else made you act this way because you control your own thoughts."

"But that's the thing Marcas! My people descended from a powerful race of space barbarians! My people were savages and were more promiscuous then than ever before! We lived in such debauchery that it would make the Draganians blush! But then one of our people rose up and gave us the laws that would shape our society into one of order."

"Well I don't call what you did to Emily order, I think that you need some time alone."

"Marcas, I've been alone long enough. If I don't find someone to mate with I will have to kill myself."

"You wouldn't!" he yelled through the steel door.

"I can and I must. For so it is written in the laws, 'If one cannot reach home to be with his mate or find someone to court on their travels during the month of fertility, then they must take the act of Daronik'. This act is what you humans call honorable suicide."

"You have to be joking! What kind of religion would mandate this!"

"The state-sponsored religion of the Klausian Federation."

Marcas's POV

Kevin has changed. He went straight from the brilliant alien that we all knew and loved to a beast in heat. When Drak told me what happened I knew that something was different because that wasn't like Kevin to just do that.

So now I have two options. Option one, I can keep Kevin trapped in there and let him sort things out. Which in this case with Daronik in the equation option one seemed to be useless. Then again what if this new Kevin is just manipulating me into letting him out? That issue stuck in my mind when i came up with option two. Option two would be me getting Slade, John, Drak, and Paul go in there and restrain Kevin then drag him down to the medical wing to see if Temarius could sort things out.

I think that I will go with that one.

(Twenty minutes later...)

Me, Slade, John, Drak, and Paul were all geared up and ready to transport Kevin across the base. Before we came down though, I was able to get all of the women on our team to go back to their rooms and sealed each one with welding tools. This was just to ensure that in the case of Kevin escaping from us, nobody would be harmed. Of course with the five of us, I think that the possibility of Kevin doing something like that would be very slim.

Finallt when we approached his door we heard metal creaking and then heard a loud and terrible squeal.

"What the hell is that!" yelled Slade.

"Thats the sound of metal being torn apart!" yelled Drak.

Quickly we pried the door open to Kevin's room and charged in there with weapons at the ready.

"Clear"

"Clear"

"Clear"

"Clear"

"Hold it!" yelled Paul.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Marcas, I think that we forgot to seal AC ducts in this place, because there is a huge hole where the vent used to be right here."

And then my heart stopped.

"QUICKLY SPREAD OUT AND COVER THE GIRLS ROOMS! WE CAN'T LET KEVIN DO THIS." yelled.

While sprinting down the hall I was able to get ahold of my earpiece and contact Temarius.

"Marcas, how is Kevin?"

"ITS NOT GOOD. KEVIN IS GOING THROUGH THE AIR DUCTS!"

"Shit! I am going to have to get to Miranda before he does."

"No Temarius, there is not time! You have to seal the air ducts now!"

"Marcas, if I do that, everybody will suffocate! Those air ducts are the only supplies of air that this base has!"

"Well, what do we do?"

"I have an idea! If I can turn up the speed on the turbines to go high enough, the air circulating through the vents should blow him out of there and into the Command and Control center."

Rallying the troops we readied our arms and barrled wodn the hallway towards the command center. Then something happened. The main lights above us turned off and the emergency illumination lights turned on. The speakers overhead crackled to life and a very raspy and evil sounding Kevin came clearly through.

"I knew that you would try and flush me out so I went for one thing that could stop me and that would be the power. Now without it, I am free to do as I please."

The group around me grew silent.

...

Now was when shit got real.

(Madison's Room)

Madison's POV

When the lights went off was when I lost my mind. Ever since I was little, I had always been afraid of the dark and now that there was an actual boogie man on the loose, my fears became worse. My hands started shaking, worse than when I played that creepy svender game from Sweden. The flashlight that I was holding was shaking every which a way.

'C'mon Madison, pull yourself together. After all, what would be the worst thing that he could do to you?'

All of a sudden a the image of a massive train going into a small tunnel came to mind. Then the panic came back.

"Just show your face Kevin! Stop being a jerk and give up!" I yelled at no one.

This was like something out of a movie. Next thing you know an alien is going to pop out of nowhere...on second thought, please don't let that happen.

'I wonder who that could be?' I thought as I slowly walked over to the door.

I didn't even look behind me, but in the shadows something had dropped down and like a predator, moved without a sound. Then once I go to the door it wooshed open and there stood Hunter.

"Oh, its you." I said making a sigh of relief.

"What, were you expecting big, tall, and furry?"

"Actully yes I was."

"Well now your worries are over."

"Really?"

"Yes, because I have something that is going to stop the furball in his tracks"

The whole time that I was looking at him I did not even notice the shotgun that he had on his back, and when he pulled it out I looked it up and down and wondered what he was up to.

"Don't worry, i'm not going to kill him. See, each shell is loaded with a really potent tranquilizer that will be sure to knock him out, so he's going to go to bed a little early tonight."

"I don't think so." said a voice from the shadows.

Suddenly a giant ball of fur leaped on Hunter, and all before he could get the shotgun out. When he collided with Hunter he sent him straight into the door and threw him across the room just to be sure that he knocked him out, but Hunter wasn't an easy K.O. As soon as he got out of Kevin's reach he whipped out the shotgun and held the trigger down.

I ran for my life and hid in the bathroom while hunter sprayed the place with tranquilizers. Through the door I could hear the rounds bounce off the walls of my room and heard what sounded like an explosion.

"HUNTER!" I yelled through the door hoping that he would hear. "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine, but Kevin got out."

"How?"

"Um...I think that you should see for yourself."

The door opened and Hunter was standing there out of breath and out of rounds. My whole room was covered with spent cartridges and the one thing that stood out the most was the huge hole in the door leading to my room.

"How on earth did he even do that? I had the blast doors and the regular doors shut tight and he went through both! Kevin just went through four inches of steel, holy crap!"

"I know, and I need to let Marcas know that he was here."

(Down the Hall by Manuel's Room)

Marcas's POV

"Marcas do you read?"

"I read you Hunter, over."

"Kevin was in Madison's room. Lucky for her I came by with the tranquilizer rounds."

"Did he do anything to her?"

"No, I didn't let him, but you should know two things."

"And what would those two be?"

"One, he just went through four inches of steel to escape me, and two. Two...he's heading straight for Jessica's room."

(Jessica's Room, one floor up)

Kevin's POV

I could smell her from down the hall. Her scent was invigorating. The only obstacle between me and her was a blast door and Phil, who had transformed into his beast form. Inside I knew that I could not get past him through any forward advance, but I could get to my prize through the air vents. With haste I cut my away into the air duct above and climbed in.

Soon, soon I would plunge myself into a fulfillment the fire inside me.

(Inside)

She didn't see me, in the matter of the fact she had gone to bed. It was all perfect. Slowly opening the air vent below me I dropped into her room without a sound. She was sound asleep thank the priests, and now I could fulfill the desires that were driving me up the wall.

I carefully pulled back the sheets covering her smaller form like one who handles glass. She was in her sleep ware which would mean easier access for me. I began to salivate as I looked up and down at her lively form. My hands swept from her ankles up to her thighs, to the wonderful curves of her back, finally resting my claw on the back of her head.

'She's ripe for the picking, now take her!' said a voice in my head.

Yes that sounds about right...wait, a voice? Throughout my life I had never heard voices in my head and this one sounded nothing like me or anyone that I knew. It sounded odd. There was no determination of who exactly was speaking to me because their voice sounded so harsh and different. There was no femininity nor was there a trace of masculinity. It was something strange, thats for sure.

Then my questions subsided. My hunger set in once again and now the month of fertility would begin. I climbed on top of the bed to set myself in a position just above Jessica, opened my jaws and bit into her shoulder. Jessica may have been a heavy sleeper, but the pain from the bite woke her up.

Immediately she looked for the source of the pain and couldn't see it in the darkness of the night. Then she reached over to me using her free arm and grabbed the back of my neck.

"Who are you? What are you doing to me?" she said struggling through the pain.

'Don't worry about her health, just do it!' yelled that same strange voice again.

For some reason I wanted to do as the voice told me to do, yet I couldn't move past my current state. Suddenly my drive was slowing down. Through the darkness I could see Jessica''s tears, which caused me to retract my teeth from her shoulder. Ripping off a portion of her covers I wrapped it around her shoulder and ran off towards the air vent.

And then the door opened behind me.

The sudden prescience of light flooded my eyesight and something hit me and hard. My back made contact with the wall and most likely left a dent there. The best that I could tell was that Phil had heard Jessica and came running to her rescue. Soon my vision went blurry and the familiar shape of Hunter's shotgun was the last thing that I saw.

So Kevin didn't do the unthinkable, he wasn't kicked off the team, and the day is saved! BUT, who said that there are no such things as consequences? Next chapter, the aftermath of Kevin's rampage! Stay tuned to find out what happens next!
