A/N: Hey friends! Long time no see, huh? It's literally only been about three days since I've last updated. I will be honest, I did anticipate not being able to update for another few weeks or so. But hey, muse struck me for this chapter! And let me tell you this, muse doesn't like striking me much when I have nothing going on.
I am not going to lie. I'm kind of disappointed by the lack of reviews last chapter. Come on people! I love getting reviews from you guys because I love hearing what you guys have to say! Don't be shy! I won't bite! Will I let this affect whether I update or not? Nah. I like you guys and I like writing. But, and I don't mean to beg, please, please, please drop a review! It means a lot! Especially if I haven't heard from you before ;P
Be prepared for Silverbird and Wallicity! x3

THE WATCHTOWER
July 30, 06:46 EST
Wally stifled a yawn as he rubbed his eyes tiredly. The speedster was unhappy to say the least. Thanks to a wonderful thing call morning sickness, Wally hadn't gotten much sleep. He was too preoccupied with taking care of his pregnant girlfriend.
The speedster could still hardly believe he was going to be a father.
Back to the matter at hand, Wally stood, arms folded across his chest, glaring tired daggers at the back of Flash's head. Batman was in the room as well.
"So tell me again," Wally had to pause as he yawned, "Why you called me up at six in the morning?"
Batman glanced at the younger speedster before turning his attention to the screen, "Flash has brought to my attention fluctuations in the North Pole's magnetic field."
A confused look graced Wally's features, "So? It's probably just some geomagnetic storm. I still don't see why this concerns me." The speedster frowned. He was tired and more than ready to go back home.
"That's the thing though," Flash said, glancing between the Dark Knight and his nephew, "I had originally come to the same conclusion. However, the computer never picked up on a solar wind, or flare, of any sorts."
Wally straightened his posture as he allowed what his previous mentor was saying sink in. A fluctuating magnetic field wasn't a good thing. And it was an even worse thing if they didn't know what was causing it.
"Flash believes the fluctuations have something to do with your time in the Speed Force." Batman spoke up. Before the trio, a screen flashed to life and a video immediately began to play. Wally cocked his head to the side, studying the video feed.
It was slowed down, like way down so it was playing frame by frame. The speedster's eyes widened as he watched hints of red and yellow flash on screen. Occasionally the flashing colors would solidify just enough to make out a figure. And that figure was Wally. His body was still relatively transparent, but it was clear as day that it was him.
"Y-you…" Wally trailed off as he attempted to form words. His mind wasn't truly able to process what he was seeing. It was obviously him, that much had been established. But what shocked him most was when a crack of lightning struck the ground and a glowing blue portal opened for a short period of time before spitting the speedster out.
Wally couldn't remember any of this happening. The earliest memory he had after slipping into the Speed Force was Felicity crashing to her knees and sobbing. It was almost like his first instinct was to run back to where he was cared for.
Batman and Flash studied Wally's reaction as he watched himself, on screen, shakily sit up. It was obvious from the look on the redhead's face that he remembered none of the events that were unfolding on screen. This was all new to him.
The video played for another few seconds. Only being paused by Batman when Wally disappeared off screen, most likely enroute to Felicity.
"I take it you don't remember any of this," Batman concluded.
Wally slowly shook his head, "N-no. My minds just one big blur. I can't remember anything about the Speed Force."
"We figured as much," Flash threw in, "The Speed Force seemed to have taken a lot out of you."
"Although we had hoped you could answer some of our questions."
"I-I'm sorry," Wally shook his head, shakily running a hand through his red locks.
"Don't be, kid," The Fastest Man Alive comforted, "It's not your fault."
The younger speedster nodded before glancing back at the paused screen, "But still, what does this have to do with me?"
Batman turned to the screen. He fiddled with it for a few moments before pulling up feed from another video, "We captured this footage yesterday," The Dark Knight explained.
The footage began to play. At first, it didn't seem like much. The North Pole was still, silent even, with flurries of snow flying around and blanketing the Earth underneath in white powder. It was relatively peaceful, at least, until a giant crack of electricity struck the Earth, kicking up snow in its wake. Almost immediately after the lightning struck, a glowing blue portal could be faintly seen. A big, burly figure appeared, but the portal shut in the blink of an eye before the figure could exit.
Batman stopped the footage and faced the young speedster, "Yesterday marked the greatest fluctuation in the North Magnetic Pole to be recorded, only second to the fluctuations caused by the Reach's Magnetic Field Disruptors."
"So you guys think the Speed Force has set up shop in the North Pole?" Wally questioned.
Batman shared a glance with Flash. That wasn't quite how they would put it, but close enough.
"Yes," Flash nodded, "And unless we can find some way to close it, the fluctuations it's causing could potentially destabilize the rest of the Earth's magnetic fields and potentially destroy the Earth." Wally inwardly groaned. Of course the Earth was in danger once more! He so did not need this right now.
"Oh great," Wally muttered to himself, crossing his arms over his chest, "If it's not one thing it's another!" The speedster complained, "The Earth seems destined for doom."
Batman's frown increased, "I don't think you understand the seriousness of this situation."
Wally's head snapped up as he flashed Batman a look, "Oh I understand it alright, but do I want to deal with it? No!"
"Kid," Flash stepped forward, "Calm down."
Wally's shoulders sagged as he let out a ragged breath, "Sorry. I'm just stressed is all," He ran his hands down his face, "First Felicity is pregnant and wakes me up at ungodly hours of the morning and now this!"
Flash paused as he stared at his nephew in shock. Had he really said what he thought he said?
"F-Felicity is p-pregnant?" The elder speedster stuttered, mouth opening and closing like a fish gasping for air.
The redhead's eyes widened as he realized what he just said. Wally silently cursed himself and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "Uh y-yeah…"
"Is it yours?"
"Yeah it-" Wally paused as the question finally sunk in, "What kind of question is that!?"
Flash held up his hands in defeat, "Sorry, sorry. Wrong thing to ask!" The speedster sighed as he pulled down his cowl, revealing his blonde hair, "But Wally, are you sure you two are ready for this?"
Wally opened his mouth to answer but quickly closed it. If he was honest with himself, he didn't feel ready. As much as he loved Felicity and wanted to start a family with her, he pictured it happening way down the road.
"No," He admitted, arms falling limply to his sides, "I-I… we aren't. But what are we supposed to do?"
"There's always the option of abortion?" Upon Wally's are-you-fucking-kidding-me look, Barry immediately threw that idea out the window, "Or adoption?"
Wally scoffed, "Yeah, cause putting a potential speedster into the system is a good idea." That and he knew Felicity wouldn't be up for giving up their child. Running a hand through his hair, Wally let out a shaky sigh, "Face it, Barry. I'm going to be a father no matter what in nine months."
Barry nodded, lips pursed, and accepted the information Wally had given him. The kid had a point. Only a select handful of people knew how to handle speedsters, and imagine trying to handle a speedster baby.
"Well no matter what, Wally," Barry clasped a reassuring hand on his nephew's shoulder, "You know I'm here for you two. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask."
Wally shook his head back and forth, "I couldn't do that, Barry. I mean, I appreciate it and all, but you have Iris to take care of. I don't want to be a burden and I know Felicity doesn't either."
"If you say so, kid," Barry grinned before wrapping Wally up in a hug. The redhead easily accepted the hug from his uncle and cherished it. The two hadn't had much time to hang out and catch up lately. What the two failed to notice, however, was the fact Batman had slipped away.
"Thanks, Barry," Wally smiled lopsidedly as the two pulled away, "It means a lot."
"No problem."
Wally rubbed the back of his neck, gesturing to the zeta beam, "Well I should probably get going. If I'm lucky I can get in a few more minutes of sleep before Felicity's up and puking her guts out. Y'know, if she's not already doing so."
Barry chuckled, "Ah the joys of morning sickness. It gets better, kid. Don't worry."
"Dammit, Clare!" Cassie swore, smacking her friends hand away, "I said stop eating the cookie dough!"
"But it's so good!" Clare whined, reaching out for more. She shrieked slightly as the Amazon smacked her hand with the back of her wooden spoon.
"Enough!" Cassie scolded, slightly exasperated. All the young blonde wanted to do was make cookies!
Clare grinned sheepishly at her blonde friend as she tucked her hands under her legs. She pouted but said nothing more as she watched Cassie flitter about the kitchen.
"Y'know," The redhead mused, watching as Cassie plopped a few dollops of dough onto a cookie sheet, "I could've sworn baking was M'gann's thing."
Cassie shrugged, popping the first tray of unbaked cookies into the oven, "She's not the only one who can bake, you know."
"So she can fight and bake," Clare smirked, "If Jaime doesn't put a ring on your finger soon then I will."
The Amazon chuckled and turned back towards her friend, a smirk plastered on her face as well, "You're so not worthy of me."
Clare scoffed, feigning hurt and placing a hand over her 'wounded' heart, "Rude!"
Cassie merely shrugged. She turned back to the bowl in front of her, chuckling to herself, "You set yourself up for that."
"Cassieeeeeeeeeeee," Clare whined, lips jutted out in a pout, "Why don't you love me?"
"Who doesn't love who?" Robin asked, entering into the kitchen with Jaime and Bart on his heels.
Clare's blue orbs immediately latched onto her boyfriend's figure. Her pout faltered, the corner of her lips turning up into a slight grin, before they went back to pouting, "Robin. Cassie says she doesn't love me."
"I never said that!"
Robin turned to his girlfriend, smiling at her as she sat on the counter, "That's okay," The raven said, walking up to her. His arms curled around her waist, "Because I love you." Clare immediately ceased her fake pouting and smiled fondly at her boyfriend, a light blush dusting her cheeks as he gave her a quick, chaste kiss.
Cassie, who had watched the whole interaction, shook her head and laughed, "You guys are gross."
Clare, who had her arms wrapped around the Boy Wonder's neck, stuck her tongue out at the blonde, "If Robin and I are gross," She watched as Jaime stepped towards Cassie, "Then you and Jaime are downright disgusting."
"Don't bring me into this, hermana!"
Now it was Cassie's turn to feign hurt, "I am offended!"
"Good," Clare stuck her nose in the air, "It's payback for wounding me earlier."
"Fine," The blonde deadpanned, "If that's how you want to play, then no cookies for you."
Clare's eyes widened as she stumbled off the counter, over to her Amazon friend's side, "Hey! That wasn't part of the deal!" Cassie chuckled as she found her friend's nose mere centimeters from hers.
Pushing Clare away, Cassie said, "We'll see if I'm feeling generous by the time I'm done making cookies." The redhead pouted, but Cassie ignored it and turned back to the cookie dough.
Or where the cookie dough should've been.
"What th-" Her eyes snapped up, glancing around at the kitchen's occupants until her eyes settled on Bart, who was scarfing the cookie dough down like there was no tomorrow.
"Bart!" Cassie nearly shrieked.
The speedster paused mid-spoon. He glanced up and over at Cassie. From the look in his eyes, it was obvious he regretted nothing, "What? I was hungry!"
"Then eat something from the fridge!"
"There's nothing in there!"
"Did you even look!?"
"…"
Clare watched Cassie pinch the bridge of her nose as she hopped back on top of the counter, "I suggest you run, Bart. And fast. Before you have a pissed off Amazon chasing you down."
The redhead could see Bart visibly gulp from across the room before, with a breeze, he was gone, leaving a more than half empty cookie dough bowl in his wake.
Clare was slightly amused as she watched her blonde friend grumble to herself and clean up the cookie dough bowl. Out of anger, Cassie accidently scrubbed hard enough to the point that the whole bowl shattered, causing the redhead to jump slightly.
Jaime shared a look with Robin and Clare before turning to his pissed girlfriend. He gently placed his hands on her shoulders, causing the Amazon to look up at him, "Cheer up, mi amor. We can go get more cookie dough."
Her shoulders sagged, "But who'll watch the cookies in the oven?"
"Robin and I will," Clare piped up. Cassie narrowed her blue eyes at her friend, which caused the redhead to hold her arms up in surrender, "And I promise we won't eat them!"
There was a paused as a silence settled upon the kitchen. Cassie mulled Clare's words over in her head before, with a shrug, she agreed. The blonde threw a 'we'll be back soon' over her shoulder and nearly pushed Jaime out of the kitchen and towards the zeta beam.
"I'm surprised you guys got permission to use the Watchtower's kitchen," Tim mused. He turned to face his girlfriend and pulled off his shades in the process. Clare smiled, reveling in the newly revealed blue orbs.
"Cassie can be very persuasive," Clare grinned, flashing her white teeth. Upon the look of disbelief from Tim, she shrugged, "Okay. Wonder Woman gave us permission to use it."
Tim nodded his head in understanding, "Ah. That makes more sense."
Clare rolled her eyes, tugging her boyfriend closer to herself. She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck while, seeing as she was still sitting on the counter, her legs went around his waist, "Mhmm. What about you, Wonder Boy? What've you been up to today?" The redhead asked, raking her hands through Tim's soft, raven locks.
Tim shrugged, hands resting gently on Clare's waist, "Nothing really. I've been helping to train Stephanie. That's about it."
Clare plastered on a smile, swallowing any and all pangs of jealousy that shot through her. She had no reason to be jealous. After all, Tim was hers, if it wasn't obvious from the position they were currently in.
A comfortable silence settled upon the duo, one that was broken when Tim pressed his lips to a crevice in Clare's neck. She gasped slightly at the sudden contact and swatted Tim away when he decided to nip at the sensitive spot.
"Tim!" She half scolded/half moaned. The raven chuckled into her neck, burying his face in the crevice. He let out a sigh of content, one that sent shivers down Clare's spine as his breath tickled the sensitive skin.
The timer slowly ticked in the background, alerting Clare to the short amount of time before the cookies were done, but she didn't care. Clare was content to just sit there in silence with Tim for as long as she possibly could. It was moments like this she almost cherished most. Sure, she knew her and Tim could talk about anything and everything, but sometimes silence spoke louder than words.
She was comfortable with him, more than comfortable in fact. They didn't necessarily need to talk to know how the other was feeling. It was just a natural instinct, second nature if you will. Instead of the silence between them being deafening, it was comforting. Clare loved Tim more than anything and she knew Tim felt the same.
After a few minutes of gazing off into nowhere in particular, realization dawned on Clare. Her eyes had finally settled into focus, focusing on the outside world, or lack there-for-of. Instead of staring at some trees, grass, or even clouds, the redhead's eyes were focused on the blackness and emptiness of space.
They were in space.
"We're in space," She gasped out.
Tim startled slightly but hid it well. He removed his head from Clare's shoulders to gaze at his girlfriend questioningly, "You're only just realizing this now?"
Clare shook her head, mouth forming a slight 'o' shape. Instead of answering Tim's question, she unwrapped herself from the boy's grip and leapt of the counter before spinning on her heel. The raven stared at the retreating figure of his girlfriend before following her out. After all, one of the things Tim loved most about Clare was her quirks, and her randomness was definitely one of them.
"Clare!" Tim called out, speed walking after the girl. Said girl just flashed him a smile over her shoulder and continued maneuvering between the various tables and chairs spread out in the Watchtower's cafeteria. When she reached the momentous window, spanning from the floor way up to the ceiling, she paused. A grin was spread across her lips as she stared at the small figure of the Earth slowly spinning below.
"We're in space," Clare breathed out again.
Tim chuckled, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, "Yeah. We're in space."
"I just…" She trailed off, not quite sure of what words to say. Clare wasn't quite sure what had come over her, but she didn't care. She was in space! A fact she had seemingly overlooked when her, and the Team, had finally gained access to the Watchtower. The fact they were stationed in space was lost among the excitement of getting to work side-by-side with the Justice League, "It's exciting." Clare finally finished her thought.
"It is, isn't it?" Tim murmured, pressing a tender kiss to the redhead's shoulder. Clare giggled softly at the touch.
She sighed, "Never thought I'd ever get to go to space." Tim, with his chin gently resting on Clare's shoulder, peered up at his girlfriend. He was slightly surprised to see a relatively distant look in the girl's bright blue orbs, but he had come to learn that she spaced out hardcore when deep in thought.
After another minute or so of silence, Tim broke it, "Penny for your thoughts?"
It took Clare a few moments, but she finally regained herself. She craned her head back, glancing at Tim, "I was just thinking about how crazy life can be sometimes," She shrugged.
Tim nodded head before whispering, "Carry on?"
Clare laughed quietly to herself, shaking her head side to side. She exhaled, slowly turning in Tim's arms, "Life is just so… unpredictable. Y'know? One minute I was a normal child, just running around doing ridiculously childish things and the next, I had powers. And what if I had never gotten those powers? I never would've met Jefferson, never would've become Silver and never…" Clare paused, chewing on her lower lip. Her blue orbs flickered down before she returned her gaze to Tim's, "And never met you." She concluded.
Tim chuckled, arms tightening around Clare's waist, "You got all that from looking out into space?"
Clare flushed crimson, immediately burying her head in Tim's chest. She wasn't sure why, but she felt embarrassed all of a sudden. It was strange. She typically never felt this way about Tim. But he had attempted a joke, even if he didn't mean anything by it, about some of her most personal thoughts. The might not have seemed like much, but her mind constantly played out 'what if' scenarios. And a lot of them didn't end all that happily.
The raven sighed. Moving his head, he attempted to get Clare to look back up at him. He didn't mean to embarrass her or anything. It was just an honest question.
Finally, after struggling with her, Tim finally managed to gently yank Clare's head up. To prevent her from snapping her head back down, Tim cupped her cheek with a firm, yet gentle, grip, "Come on, love, you know I didn't mean anything by it." The raven stared deep into Clare's eyes as she did the same in return. A frown still graced Clare's features, but he didn't feel her fighting to re-duck her head.
"I know," She bit her lip.
Tim beamed, pressing a quick kiss to the redhead's lips. His smile softened, almost disappearing as he took on a more serious demeanor, "But I know what you mean, with all these 'what ifs' that is. The only thing is, the scenarios running through my head always end up with you in Roy's arms."
Clare shook her head. She cupped Tim's cheek with her hand and smiled fondly when he nuzzled it affectionately, "You know that's never going to happen." She spoke in a low voice, "I'm yours."
Tim rubbed his nose lovingly against Clare's own petite nose, "I know. Which is why I don't dwell on it."
"Good."
A soft smile spread across Tim's lips before he leaned forward. Clare chewed her lower lip in anticipation, studying her boyfriend's face closely. She could easily make out the small scars that littered his light skin. Clare could easily account for where each of those scars came from. Like the one spread diagonal across the bridge of his nose. That was a souvenir from the first time he had gotten his nose broke in a fist fight. Or the one just below his hairline. It was from a crowbar, the Joker's crowbar to be more precise.
As Tim leaned closer, Clare couldn't help the racing of her heart. Though they had kissed numerous times before, each time felt like this first. It was always pure bliss. Electrical currents shot through her body, and no, they weren't her own.
Just as Clare felt Tim was torturing her, the raven crashed his lips onto hers. The warmth of his mouth caused a warm fuzzy feeling to spread throughout her body. His lips were chapped, as per usual. Gotham never had the right weather for perfect lips, but Clare didn't mind. She felt as though chapped lips help to make Tim, Tim.
The kiss deepened. Tim's hand curled in Clare's crimson locks, pulling the girl closer to himself. Clare parted her lips, inviting Tim in. Just as Tim's tongue was about to enter, a voice cleared its throat.
Clare immediately broke away from Tim. She felt her face heat up, heart pounding out of embarrassment as she attempted to straighten herself up. When the redhead felt she was present worthy, her blue gaze fixed itself on the source of the interruption. Clare immediately frowned.
Stephanie Brown stood, arms crossed, in front of the entrance to the cafeteria. Her face looked relatively emotionless, but Clare could tell from her body posture that she was less than pleased.
"What do you want, Steph?" Tim called out. There was an underlying tone of annoyance, but if the blonde caught onto it, she didn't say anything.
"I thought we were going to train some more."
Tim sighed, running a hand through his disheveled raven locks, "I told you we were done for the day." Clare's frown deepened as she glanced between the duo. She noticed Stephanie shift from foot to foot and looking uncharacteristically awkward whereas Tim looked to be a bit peeved. Either from the interruption or something else Clare was 100% sure.
"Y-yea," Stephanie nodded, subconsciously rubbing her arm, "But I figured since you weren't busy, we could train some more?"
Clare's eyes narrowed as she growled inaudibly. Sure, Tim might not have been busy doing super important things, but he was still busy hanging out with her!
Stephanie Brown, on the other hand, could feel her cheeks flame. Honestly, she only came to the cafeteria to grab a snack. Imagine her surprise when she found Tim, and Clare, making out. For some reason, which Stephanie refused to admit was because of jealousy, she felt compelled to make her presence known instead of just sneaking into the kitchen and then just leaving.
It had come on suddenly, as soon as she walked into the room to be precise. Anger clenched at her heart as she watched the two kiss, completely unaware of their surrounding environment. Her hands curled into fists at her side as her body trembled slightly with anger. Stephanie was shocked at herself, to say the least. But she couldn't help it.
"Sorry," Tim spoke up, snapping Stephanie back into reality, "Maybe tomorrow."
Stephanie merely nodded. She could feel the heat radiating from her flamed cheeks and she silently thanked god the two were on the opposite side of the room. With a nervous nod of her head, Stephanie spun on her heel and hurriedly exited the room, leaving the couple all alone once more.
Only one thought was on the girl's mind. As much as it confused the blonde, it was the one thing that gaze her slight comfort, 'I'll make him mine one day.'
Clare frowned as the door closed with a soft hiss. She felt the encounter was odd, but wasn't quite sure what to make of it. The redhead had originally suspected the interrupter to be Cassie and Jaime, who had left for the store about ten minutes ago. Clare felt as though it wouldn't take them that long at the store. That is, of course, unless they got distracted along the way.
"That was odd," Clare voiced, turning to face her boyfriend.
Tim nodded before looping his fingers in Clare's belt loops. With one swift motion, he pulled the girl back into his arms, "Let's just forget about it," He murmured, pressing a kiss to the girl's forehead. Clare silently agreed, flinging her arms around his neck. She stared up at him with bright blue eyes, which were sparkling with love. Tim stared back at her, only his eyes sparkled with a darker shade of blue, "Now where were we?" The raven whispered huskily, breath tickling Clare's lips.
Just as their lips were about to touch, the shrill ringing of the timer began to buzz. Clare groaned before flashing Tim a sheepish smile. The raven barely had time to register to soft feeling of Clare's lips on his own before she darted off towards the kitchen.
MOUNT PLEASANT
July 31, 05:34 EDT
"I blame you," Felicity groaned. Beads of sweat sat low on her brow, some even streaking down her face. The blonde was paler than usual, something related back to the morning sickness she was currently suffering from.
Wally chuckled and cautiously pulled a nauseous Felicity into his lap. She instantly curled up, nuzzling her face into his toned chest, "Hate to tell you this, babe, but the blame settles on the two of us."
"Don't remind me."
The speedster chuckled and held his girlfriend close. Every now and then she would lurch forward, dumping the limited contents of her stomach into the toilet. Wally sat there the whole time, helping to hold her hair back and comfort her. There wasn't much he could say about the whole ordeal, seeing as he'd never be pregnant, but he could tell his words of comfort did well to help soothe Felicity.
It had only been five days since Wally found out he was going to be a father and since then, he'd been up early every morning soothing a puking Felicity. There was some worry, initially, seeing as the morning sickness just up and started. But after a trip to Doctor Leslie Thompkins, Batman's special in the know doctor, their worry was put at ease. They had their first ultrasound and it revealed that Felicity was further along than the couple had initially thought. In fact, it was estimated she was at the six week mark.
When she heard that news, Felicity had immediately began to worry about the safety of the baby. After all, the girl had apparently been on a mission or two since initially becoming pregnant. However Leslie brushed off their worry. She said the baby, and mother, were in prime health with nothing to be worried about, which brought relief to both parents.
Besides for Barry, and now Batman, knowing of Felicity's condition, no one else knew. Wally knew they wouldn't be able to hide it much longer, but they hadn't figured out a way to tell everyone yet. It was going to be strange, to be completely honest, to come out and tell everyone they were going to be parents. Especially since the two weren't married yet.
Speaking of which, the two had a whole wedding to plan! It was never their intention to have kids before marriage. Felicity and Wally had agreed on having a few years set aside to themselves as a married couple before starting a family, but fate had other plans for them.
A soft snoring sound echoed in the small bathroom. Wally glanced down, a small smile settling on his lips as he took in Felicity's slumbering form. Being every so gentle, the speedster hoisted himself up, his girlfriend pressed firmly to his chest bridal style, and made his way out of the bathroom and into their cool bedroom.
Wally strode to Felicity's side of the bed before gently laying her down. The blonde barely shifted as she sunk slightly into the soft mattress. A smile of adoration stretched across Wally's face as he pulled the beige covers up to her chin. He watched as she curled the covers around herself, snuggling them to her body.
His hand reached down, brushing a stray lock out Felicity's face. Wally then bent over, pressing a tender kiss to her sweaty forehead. When he pulled away, he murmured a soft, "I love you," before walking to the other side of the bed and climbing in.
As soon as his head hit the cushy pillow, the speedster was out like a light.
NORTH MAGNETIC POLE
July 31, 06:54 UTC
Thunder cracked in the distance. Lighting licked the sky, illuminating the icy terrain below. A snowy white polar bear treaded lightly across the ice. Behind her, two cubs trailed, slowly attempting to keep up with their mother.
Wind kicked up the snow, sending it up into the air in a flurry daze. A particularly loud rumble of thunder shook the earth, causing the two polar bear cubs to speed towards their mother out of slight fear. Following the loud thunder was a crack of lightning, this one ten times larger than the rest. The sky immediately began to darken, funnel clouds swirling in the atmosphere. As the white light of the lightning struck the Earth, a glowing blue portal fizzled and sparked to life.
Inside the portal was a figure. It was obvious from the size that it wasn't human, or if it was, it was no ordinary human. The hulking figure's eyes glowed a dull red, but it looked more purple thanks to the glowing blue of the portal it was standing in. Other than the eyes and its size, the only other feature that could be made out was the snarling grin that was stretched across its face.
When the figure tried to step forward, it cried out in pain as it was electrocuted. Snarling, the figure stepped back. The portal was not yet ready to cross through. Upon this realization, the glowing red eyes seemed to grow darker, reflecting the mood of the figure.
"Soon," It snarled, snapping its fangs, "Soon the Earth will be mine. And all you Earthlings will die."
The final words left the figures mouth in a hushed breeze as the glowing portal abruptly closed. All storm activity ceased; thunder no longer boomed in the distance and lightning didn't light up the sky. The North Pole was eerily silent once more, almost like nothing had happened.
A/N: Things are starting to heat up. Ooooooooooooooooooooooh. Yeah. I have a pretty good idea of where this is going now. I know I've said that before, but now I am almost 91.354% positive this time. Like I said before (and in this chapter), it is Speed Force related. Found this whole thing about the Speed Force and other things I can't say because SPOILERS. I love you guys and stuff, but imma keep this spoiler free (unless you mean Stephanie of course ;P ~buh dum tiss~ /dodges tomatoes/)
Ahem.
Speaking of Steph, if she seemed a bit OOC, I apologize. She's going to be jealous, maybe try a thing or two, but I don't want to make her out to be a bitch or anything. I hate when people do that to a canon character just because their OC is paired with said characters love interest (for example: what happens to Zatanna a lot in Robin/OC stories. Cut the girl some slack, man, she's just looking for some loving). I did a fair amount of research for this chapter, not only pertaining to the Speed Force, but jealousy as well. Jealousy is a bitch. It can drive people to do some insane things, which is why Steph may be OOC. Like I said though, I don't intend for her to be too OOC because I do like Steph.
For those of you who reviewed last chapter, thank you so much! I appreciate it. I'm just too lazy to reply back right now ;P (I will, however, keep the whole 'Barbara getting shot and becoming Oracle so Stephanie can become Batgirl' in mind!)
IMMA DO A POLL GUYS. MY FIRST ONE EVER AND IF YOU LOVE WALLICITY, YOU BETTER VOTE ON IT. IT'S GOING TO PERTAIN TO THE GENDER OF THE BABY. IDK IF I WANT A GIRL OR A BOY SO I AM LEAVING IT UP TO YOU GUYS. I WILL, HOWEVER, BE ACCEPTING NAME SUGGESTIONS FOR EITHER GENDER AS WELL. I HAVE SOME IN MIND, BUT IT DOESN'T HURT TO HAVE OTHERS. SO THANKS IN ADVANCE.
And last but not least, drop a review! If not, you'll get a pissed off, hormonal, pregnant Felicity sent your way. And you don't want that.
Have a good day friends!
~Snow

"I don't think I can do this anymore, Tim."
"P-please. J-just one more chance!"
(These things actually help to keep me on track. Like wow. Why don't I use them more often?)
Fun Fact (I really want people to know this for some reason):
Clare came before Felicity. That might seem odd, seeing as Felicity is a season one OC, but that's exactly why I created her. I wanted to start from the very beginning and not just jump into season two right off the bat.
