Chapter 25
I was able to get a little bit of sleep but I stayed in bed while I thought of my options. Saya was gone, and that leaves the four of us to fight the Zarkon... which means I need to get back out on the battle field to help in any way I can. Now that I've come up with a decision I need to run it by Sally and Elias. I climb out of bed and get dressed, I leave my room to see Aya leaving her room at the same time.
"You slept in too?" Aya said
"Something like that," I smiled
"Well want to head to the kitchen?" she asked
"I'll meet you there, I need to talk to Sally and Elias," I said
"what about?" She asked looking concerned,
"There's only four of us left now... we can't afford for me to sit on the sidelines." I said
"You're going to join us on the next mission?" Aya said
"That's the plan," I said as she smiles and waves me off as she runs to the kitchen. probably to tell the others about my decision. I walk into the computer to see Elias staring at a monitor. he turns around at the sound of the door closing behind me,
"Sakura, what can I do for you?" he asked
"I wanted your approval to rejoin the team." I said flat out.
"Are you sure? do you feel confident enough to get out there?" he asked,
"Yes, I know there is always room for improvement but our priority is to save Saya as fast as possible." I said
"Good answer, I approve." Elias said as I smile, the alarms begin to sound, "And not a moment too soon." the others run in already transformed,
"Where are they?" Shadow said
"just outside the city," Elias said
"You coming Sakura?" Tails asked,
"The seven servers are the seven chaos, chaos is power, power enriched by the heart, the heart is the controller, the controller serves to unify the chaos, Chaos Control." I said transforming into Cream, "I'm right behind you," I said as we head to the Twin Tornado,
We get to the edge on the city and the Zarkon are waiting for us, We land the plane and jump out. but the Zarkon don't look ready to fight,
"Uh, this is weird..." Tails said
"Cream, stay next to me just in case." Shadow said
"There's no need for that," Spira said, walking up,
"What have you done with Sonic!" Blaze yelled, her anger burned in her eyes,
"She's safe for now, here." Spira throws something at shadow and she catches it, "There, my job is done." she said as her and the Zarkon disappear,
"What just happened?" I asked
"I'm not sure..." Tails said as shadow looks closely at the thing Spira tossed to her,
"What is it?" Blaze asked, it looked like a large disk with a large gem in the middle,
"I'll analyze it when we get back to HQ, it looks like we have company," Tails said as Shadow hands her the disk. we see the reporters heading straight for us but we climb back into the Twin Tornado and fly off before they could reach us.
we get back to HQ and Maka was already focusing on the disk, she told us she'd call us over when she figured it out, the rest of us decide to have some lunch while we wait.
"It's been over an hour, what's taking her so long?" Yusuke said
Maka's dealing with Alien technology, give her some time." Aya said,
"Guys!" Maka's voice came over the loud speaker, "Come to the computer room immediately, you're gonna want to see this." she said as none of us hesitate and run over to her,
"What is it?" Yusuke asked
"it's a recorder, from Saya." she said as we all lean in close, she waves her hand over the disk and a hologram of Saya appears in front of us,
"She's ok!" I smile,
"Hey, it this thing on?" Saya said, she was looking at something, "Well how would I know your technology is weird." she seemed to be talking to someone, "Fine, fine. Hey guys, if you're seeing this that means Spira kept her promise," she pauses and looks away again, "of course I don't trust you completely I'm your prisoner remember? Sorry, I asked Spira to send you this because I knew you'd all be freaking out right now. and I wanted you to all see that I was okay; unfortunately Spira won't release me until I meet her partner in 3 days time and I'm not even sure if I'll be freed after that and it that's the case all this might be meaningless..." Saya looks away again, then lets out a large sigh, "I miss you guys and I know you'll find me but don't forget to take care of yourselves and each other... good bye." She said as the hologram disappears,
"Is that it?" Aya asked
"At lest we know she's ok..."
"Spira's partner..." Maka said,
"Who do you think it is?" Aya asked
"I remember the first time I transformed, Spira mentioned that the good doctor made her hand." Maka said
" Good Doctor? do you think she's talking about Dr. Kintobor?" Yusuke suggested,
"We've keep an eye on him," Elias said "He's crazy but I don't think he's that crazy."
"This means we have 3 days before Saya meets this mystery person and that could be a good thing or a bad thing..." Maka said
"And still no leads..." I added,
"We'll think of something Sakura, I know we will." Aya said
