The plan is settled. The class forms La Resistance behind the backs of the staff, their families, and students in grades above and below them. That Friday, they all meet at the designated cave about half a mile away from Denkins's farm. They mostly travel in large groups on the way there so as to not get anyone lost. Mysterion and the rest of Coon & Friends station themselves outside the the cave entrance and along the path to mark the way to the meeting place. From there, Coon, Professor Chaos, and Tool Shed will open the portal. Butters opted not to tell Phillip about it as putting a second grader in danger is low even for a villain. It is easy to tell where a potential portal lies. Kenny informed at the end of the meeting at lunch that there is a rather dizzying atmosphere. The fabric of reality near an opening is so fragile, one can make believe they see heat waves emanating around it, even in a freezing cold area like South Park. It's a very vulnerable spot. Any harsh, quick movement can easily disturb it. That's why Kenny suggested for Stan to bring a fish knife from his kitchen or at least some scissors. The three will then enter the city of R'lyeh and search for answers. Kyle and Stan will try to connect telepathically so to keep each other updated.

"Okay, is everyone here?" Stan looks around the roomy cave. Winds echo off of its slick walls. The whole class seems to have congregated around and stick to the walls as far as the stalagmites will let them. The chosen three stand in the middle, a significantly-sized circumference formed around them. A few late classmates just arrive at the mouth of the cave, but that looks to be the whole class by now. He pulls the kitchen knife out of his toolbox. "You were right, Kenny. None of my tools would be sharp enough to make a disturbance in the air. They're all too rusty."

"Wow, Stan. You really came prepared," Wendy remarks.

"Yeah," Kyle agrees. "Well, we better get started. You ready, Tool Shed?"

Tool Shed's blue eyes beam beneath his yellow goggles, "Ready as I'll ever be, Human Kite." With that, he raises his knife to the air around him and slashes away...at nothing. There is an awkward silence. Mysterion even swears he can even hear a few crickets chirping. Then Annie begins to chuckle a bit. He has to admit, it is a little hilarious in sort of an ironic way. Craig looks like he is about to same something but in the end resorts to solely slapping his hand to his forehead in a face palm. Butters glances around, embarrassed.

Finally Coon breaks the silence, "Dude, you look effin' retarded." Pretty soon, the many other children start giggling as well.

"Kenny!" Tool Shed exclaims, not dropping the knife. "What the hell? You said it would work!"

"I don't get it," Mysterion comes forward and glances around confusedly. "There should be an opening."

"Wow, calm down guys," Wendy points just above Tool Shed, Coon, and the professors' heads, exasperated. "Look. It's already starting to open. You just had to give it some time. God, why is everyone being so impatient today?" The three turn to look up right above them. The rest of the large group in the cave quiet and look as well. Mysterion's eyes go wide suddenly. The heat waves! There they are!

"Quick, Tool Shed! Slash at it!" Red cries excitedly.

"Oh, right," Tool Shed shakes his head slightly in order to clear it. Then he slowly begins to take careful steps in a backup position, raises the knife, and- with a sharp swing of his right arm- throws it as hard as he can at the ripple in space-time. Immediately, a flash of bright light takes everyone by surprise. Enormous, red tentacles lick the air from with the glowing-rimmed ellipse. Mysterion doesn't take time like the rest of his peers to stand dumbfounded. He knows he has to take action. He looks to Stan and notices him and Kyle sharing a strange but knowing glance with each other, as if they are securing a sort of psychic connection.

That connection is allegedly severed when Mysterion- with the force of a hundred neon question marks- rams his arms into Tool Shed, shoving him through the opening alongside the others, "GO! GO! GO! Come on! You've got to get in there!" The three all bumble in through the mist, and just as fast as it appeared, the portal is gone. The cave goes silent. This time, Mysterion is left standing at the centerpoint with the rest of the class standing and gawking around them. His eyes continue to roam around until they come to rest back on Kyle. What exactly is going on with him? "Um, Kyle, what are you-"

"SH!" Kyle's pale hand briefly wills his voice away before joining the other hand at his spandex clad head as if attempting to sooth a headache. Then Kenny realizes it's more that he is trying to concentrate hard on something on account of his eyes being squeezed so tight, the skin crumples around his smashed eyelids. "You cut off my connection with Stan that I was trying to make. Now, thanks to South Park's most heroic vigilante, I have to see if I can find him again. Watch this plan be a flop when we can't even bring them back."

"Sorry..," Kenny mutters almost bitterly, turning his back on Human Kite to give him some space to concentrate, though he doubts he can hear him. He was only checking if he was alright. He can't stand to watch his friends suffer, especially if he has something to do with it. Much less the fragile, jewish boy whose lungs have recently been weakened by a fire he led him to...but who knows if their super best friend connection would have worked anyway.
