AN: This chapter is a little longer than the others but I hope you enjoy!
Chapter 25: It's Over
Amina sat on the edge of the table legs crossed as she eyed the flames in front of her that grew higher the more she glared at them.
"How close is she?" The strong irish accent that came from behind her asked.
Amina waved her hand causing the flames to disappear "Close enough. After everything I told her the little bitch still came." she smiled almost fondly.
"How do you want us to handle it?"
She lifted a shoulder "Do nothing."
The rest of the hunters who appeared seconds after Vaughn did merely blinked at each other but it was Vaughan who expressed his confusion "I'm sorry what?"
Green eyes rolled "There's nothing wrong with your hearing, Vaughn. They're just like the others who wanted the cure. Once they fail, I'll kill them."
Vaughn smirked a little, he loved her best when she was like this. He gave a short nod a sign for everyone else to clear the room. He waited long enough for the door to close to saddle closer to Amina "While we're waiting" his hand trailed down her spine and down to her ass "How about you and I relax a little?"
Arched brow rose as she examined the hand on her ass. But not even a second later Galen's scream echoed the room when the bones in his hand suddenly shattered "You know the rules, Vaughn. No touching unless I say so."Amina whispered almost seductively against his full lips "Got it?"
Vaughn nodded "Of course."
Happy with his response she walked around the table "Good boy, now make sure everyone else stays in line. Since you failed the first time I need to make sure I crack this melon first."
Galen gritted his teeth "We didn't know she had vampire blood in her system."
Amina ignored him. She didn't really care for the excuses. Bonnie was alive and would soon prove to be the pain in her ass if they didn't get rid of her. "My family despite everything is protecting her and for some reason they believe Stefan Salvatore is the key to that."
Of course she knew the reasons behind her family's fierce loyalty, they were Bennett's they always protected their own but it sickened her that they would waste it on someone she deemed weak and who needed the guidance of a man to stand on her own two feet.
Well that was to bad because she'll be damned if they undid her mother's work for an abomination.
Vaughn interrupted her inner thoughts "He's her sire." it wasn't a question he knew this as fact since he's been keeping tabs on Bonnie and her friends since finding out Bonnie was indeed alive a few months ago "He's willing to do anything to see that she's happy even if means giving her up."
Amina looked at Vaughn "What are you implying?" she practically sneered.
Vaughn wasn't implying anything he thought it was obvious that Stefan Salvatore was indeed falling for the Bennett witch. He wouldn't go as far as to say he was in love but he was willing to put a little wager on when in fact it indeed happens, However, he could probably say the same thing about the elder Salvatore.
"I think we need to use that as our advantage."
Amina rolled her eyes "She has a weakness, her friends and family. But there aren't many of us Bennett's around and believe it or not I wouldn't use them to weed out the weakest link especially since I've already found it."
Galen raised a brow at that. Weak wasn't the word he would use to define Bonnie but he refrained from commenting.
"But the Salvatore's are another story. They found a new shiny toy to obsess and fight over which means dot dot dot." she smirked while pouring herself a glass of red wine.
Naturally it didn't take long for the hunter to connect those dots and Amina grinned she flipped through an old grimoire and smiled.
This spell would be perfect
Ten hours ago:
After a few unanswered questions, demands and minor hole's in the walls. Kol sat securely on his brother's jet on his way to Nova Scotia. When he got Bonnie's text he couldn't hide his surprise thinking she had all she needed on this little quest to get the cure since it appears the Salvatore's were accompanying her on this little trip.
Kol tried not to grit his teeth at that.
He didn't know what the hell was going on with him and his reaction to Bonnie but it all started when he came back into town with every intention on attempting to maybe seduce and kill but instead running into the witch in the hallway that night, He saw with his own eyes her struggle to keep her hunger at bay in order to not feed on that cheerleader and in that moment something gave him pause. Sure, it may have been the fact that she appeared to no longer be a witch but with his slight obsession with them he was still drawn to her as if she still was.
So drawn to her that he let the little witch feed on him, discovering her preference for vampire blood instead of human blood things after that seemed to take a turn on its on.
When Bonnie fed on him he enjoyed it and wanted more. But instead of coming to him he watched as she went to the Salvatore's. Sure, he kept his distance and waited in the wind. But watching Bonnie feed on those idiots, Just the mere thought made Kol grip the glass in his hand and watched as it shattered.
The urge to kill the Salvatore's was almost crippling every time he subjected himself in to watching from afar.
Now, here he was on a fight to Nova Scotia because she text those three little words that almost made the eyes roll in the back of his head, just the thought of hearing her saying them to him in person made his dick hard.
"Mr. Mikaelson, we'll be landing very shortly is there anything I could get you?" his personal stewardess said.
Kol smiled in which the tiny caramel skinned beauty blushed. He watched as she tucked a long strand of curly hair behind her ear, her green eyes seemed to darken just a tad bit since approaching him.
"I am a little hungry, darling," he beamed
Without a lick of hesitation the stewardess climbed into his lap making herself comfortable. Kol angled her neck admiring the bite marks he had already put there "I have an acquired taste, love."she looked at him "My palate has grown richer, so much so that no other woman will do, you may carry a heavy resembles to her but no one will ever replace her. Do you understand?"
The stewardess nodded as she was compelled to do, "Good girl," Kol said brushing the hair out of her face. He eyed her name tag that said Paige "Paige, mind if I call you Bonnie instead?" he asked before biting into her neck not even bothering to wait for a response.
He didn't really care if she did mind as far as he was concern a look alike will do until he could have the real thing.
Bonnie looked down at her phone before putting it back on the charger, she could see Caroline staring from the corner of her eye with a cup of blood in her right hand.
"What?" questioned without looking at Caroline.
Caroline cleared her throat "Nothing" when Bonnie gave her a look she sighed "Nothing, except you've been checking your phone all night and this morning. Is everything ok?"
Bonnie shook her head "I'm waiting for an important package." Caroline frowned "What package?"
Bonnie didn't want to lie to Caroline so she stuck close to the truth as she possibly could "Since we're going out there to get the cure I need to be prepared."
Caroline nodded in understanding "Oh, well that's true. Are you hungry? You haven't eaten much this morning."
Bonnie fed on her this morning but she didn't take much, Caroline was pretty sure she didn't take enough to satisfy her through the morning let alone the entire day.
Bonnie smiled "I'll be fine, Caroline. Don't worry."
She was worried which was precisely why she was right in telling the Salvatores that Bonnie still needed them even if Damon came along with the package.
"Where's Damon and Stefan?"
"Stefan went to call Matt about that weird book that professor gave Jeremy and Damon went to stock up on more blood bags."
Bonnie nodded "OK so we have few hours to decide what we're going to do and to gather all the information we need."
"We know it's on some island, I'm sure it's not sitting on a pile of leaves surrounded by a coconut tree."
Bonnie snorted "I can do a locator spell but I need to know exactly what I'm looking for. So hopefully Stefan is able to get something useful from Matt."
"Did that dream tell you anything?"
Bonnie looked at Caroline "What dream?"
"The one you still haven't told me about."
Bonnie sighed "No, I just know she wanted to kill me to stop this from happening."
Caroline remained quiet waiting for Bonnie to fill in those blanks she wasn't going to pull her arm to force her to tell her.
Bonnie sat down on the bed "Her name is Amina, apparently her mother was in love with Silas, so much so that she had plans to make them both immortal that was until she found out he was cheating on her and had plans to be with someone else for eternity. She lost it, she killed the girl and turned him immortal."
Caroline crossed her legs "I admit killing the girl was a bit extreme but I mean if I was in her position—"
Bonnie continued her story before Caroline started rambling "After turning Silas immortal she trapped him in a tomb where he basically suffered from starvation,"
Caroline's shook her head "Hell has no fury like a woman scorned."
Bonnie agreed wholeheartedly "Qetsiyah buried the cure with him and to ensure that he remains that way Amina has made it her life's mission to guard Silas's tomb."
"That still doesn't explain why she wants you dead."
Bonnie and Caroline turned to see Damon holding a bag with Stefan right next to him.
"Amina saw the future, she knew I would be coming for the cure so she tried to change it by killing me."
Stefan walked further into the room "But she didn't count on me feeding you my blood."
"If she was so psychic why didn't she see that coming?" That was Caroline.
"The timeline changed, they were suppose to kill me and Stefan without incident but I died instead saving Stefan's life with his blood in my system."
Damon still hated that she sacrificed her life for Stefan, he loved his brother but his life wasn't worth eternity of misery for Bonnie.
Damon cleared his throat "The sacrifice that launched a thousand fuckeries, how can we forget?"
Bonnie's phone vibrated causing everyone to look at her, she picked it up and seeing a text from Kol "256"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, the package I was waiting for is here."
Caroline walked over to Bonnie "Oh, is it a witch thing or can we all use it?"
Stefan and Damon watched Bonnie closely as she slipped on her ankle boots
"Yea," she said distractedly.
"Which is it?" Stefan asked eyes narrowed.
"What?" she said pulling her hair into a messy bun not realizing she was making herself look presentable for Kol Mikaelson of all people.
"Why don't I go with you?" Caroline asked.
Bonnie shook her head "That's not necessary besides I'm sure you guys have somethings to discuss."
Damon raised a brow at hearing the slight attitude "Like what?"
Bonnie shrugged and looked at Stefan "Did Matt tell you anything that can help us narrow down our search?"
Stefan remained silent for a while before answering "The book Professor Shane gave Jeremy pretty much repeated the story you just told us. However, he thinks there may be some code that he thinks only Jeremy could see."
Bonnie bit her lip she didn't really want to involve Jeremy but she might have to since they really couldn't do anything until they knew what the hell it was they were dealing with. Then a thought occurred to her "Elena, people are more likely to open to her. Tell her to go talk to Professor Shane. Maybe he can shed more light on what we're dealing with to her." she said looking at the Salvatore's.
Damon laughed "In other words you want Elena to compel him?"
Bonnie grabbed her phone and walked to the door "No, I want her to use her irresistible charm to get what we need. It worked on you two." she smiled a little before leaving the room all together.
Damon and Stefan looked at Caroline, but it was Stefan who said "She's up to something."
Caroline nodded in agreement "She's been on edge all morning and she's been glued to her phone since last night."
Caroline hated snitching on her friend but she was concerned about Bonnie and since Bonnie wouldn't tell her what the hell was going on with her it was up to her to figure it out.
Stefan mauled over Caroline's words. Obviously Bonnie wasn't texting the three of them, Jeremy, Matt or Elena for that matter so who the hell was Bonnie texting. "Excuse me" he said before leaving the room.
Bonnie was on the second floor of the hotel, she slowed her pace. She didn't know why she was so nervous, well that was lie. She couldn't believe she was actually meeting Kol to suck him dry.
Bonnie frowned and then blushed at her own thoughts "That didn't come out right." she said out loud.
"I don't remember the front desk being up here."
Bonnie sighed her back still turned to him "Why are you following me?"
"Why are you up here Bonnie?" he asked instead as he walked closer to her.
"I don't need your permission to take a damn walk Stefan" she said turning to look at him "Why are you following me?"
"Because you're lying to me again, I've noticed you've been doing a lot of that lately." he's eyes narrowed.
She did too.
"If you're going to accuse me of something just come out and say it if not—"
Bonnie moved to walk around him but he grabbed her arm "You need to feed."
"I did."
Stefan looked down at her as he towered over her small frame her eyes were darker than their normal hue and her skin was paler "But not enough to sustain." he bit into his wrist and held it up to her "Drink."
Bonnie inhaled a little he smelled good and familiar. Almost like home. Her stomach cramped and she was starting to get a little light headed but she refused. What she took from Caroline would have to be enough until she could see Kol.
"You're being stubborn."
"And you're being different." she didn't know how else to describe how cold and unattached he's been towards her lately.
Stefan blinked "What?"
"You've been acting so weird lately, is it because I slept with Damon" upon hearing that he diverted his eyes to the nothing that was at the end of the hallway "or is it because of my blood?"
Stefan hasn't tasted Bonnie in what felt like weeks and yes he knew Bonnie was no longer human but her blood made him feel things, things he was dying to feel again. But since finding out she fucked Damon things were different he honestly felt like he lost something that was rightfully his.
Bonnie wasn't anyone's possession but she was sired to him, in his eyes she was his mate.
That thought made Stefan take a few steps away from Bonnie.
Bonnie smiled sadly and nodded "It is because I slept with Damon."
"We already discussed this Bonnie, we're not together which means you don't owe me anything."
Bonnie snorted 'You're right I don't and I'm not sorry I had sex with Damon. I just hate how you can't even be around me anymore."
"I wouldn't be here if I couldn't be around you Bonnie."
"That's the thing thing you're here but you're not actually here with me Stefan and that bothers the hell out of me. Even when I wish it didn't."
Silence
"Whatever happens or doesn't happen we need to break the sire bond." he whispered
Bonnie's green eyes watered "We can't remember." the change in subject didn't throw her she knew it was coming.
"There's a cure to vampirism Bonnie, I'm pretty sure we can break this sire bond no matter what your ancestors said."
Bonnie laughed sadly "If that's what you want."
Stefan cupped her beautiful face in his hands. It's the last thing I want "I think it's for the best."
He was lying. But Bonnie wasn't going to ask him to reconsider. Sure, she needed him and probably always will. They shared to much, she relied on him to much so maybe this was for the best.
"For two people who were never together this sure feels like a break up." Bonnie said looking up at him the saddest eyes "Thank you for everything."
He smiled down at her "It was my pleasure."
Before either of them could stop themselves their lips connected catapulting them into a vision.
"Bonnie." Stefan yelled "Bonnie you need to calm down."
Bonnie tried to use her strength to break free from his grasp "Stefan, let me go." she cried.
Stefan held her tighter 'Not until you calm down." he said through clenched teeth,
Bonnie's small body shook in his arms, both were soaked to the gills from the storm outside "I can't do this. I'm not strong enough."
Stefan turned Bonnie around to face him her vampire face still on full display, he took a quick sweep of her body and even with the rain there was still so much blood on her person.
Damon ran towards them eyeing the scene before them, he swallowed what was threatening to come up,. Over a hundred fifty years he's seen a lot of dead bodies twisted in some of the most morbid ways possible some in which were done by his hands but nothing like this.
"We need to get her out of here, Stefan." blue eyes on Bonnie when he said it.
Stefan looked over at his brother "We need to get rid of the bodies first."
"We need to take care of Bonnie first. Her emotions are everywhere and we can't deal with this situation if she's not ok."
Stefan looked at Bonnie and then back at his brother knowing what they had to. Almost at the same time both brother flipped their switch back ON.
Bonnie tore her lips away from Stefan her green eyes wide as she looked up at him. Stefan's expression was something similar but before either of them could question what the hell that was, they both noticed Damon was standing a few feet away having seen the kiss.
AN: Alright y'all that vision was something else right? If you remember in the earlier chapters we saw some of Bonnie's future through the visions Aina showed her. Now we're getting a little more detail as to what to what that flash was. Amina has something planned for Bonnie and Co and we now have a little more POV from Kol and where he stands with Bonnie. As usual drop me a line and let me know what you think in the reviews. Thanks for reading!
