"Well. Well. Payne. So wonderful to see you lollygagging about the Ministry." Lucius' mocking voice struck him as the two collided into each other.

Well this was a wonderful way to start the morning...

Dexter glared up at Lucius as they stood in the middle of a hall, an immense loathing, hate surging in their eyes.

"Oh yes. I find it refreshing. What have you done today? Comb your hair a dozen times over and pluck daises. Wishing for the day your prince would come?"

Lucius Malfoy cleared his throat, placing both hands on the hilt of his walking stick, standing proud and confident, much like a ruler to his people.

"You know why I'm here Dexter."

"Do I?" Dexter cocked his head to the right slightly, giving a nod to a man who happened to pass by. Tipping his hat to him before throwing a surprised look towards he and Lucius and leaving.

"Perhaps you could enlighten me on the situation? I don't recall the pleasure of having to breathe the same air as you do." He drawled, rolling his eyes and moving out of the way.

He stopped at the sudden cold teeth of the snake from Lucius' walking stick, digging into his shoulder. Only turning his head coldly and shrugging the serpent from his flesh, nearly sending the man backward.

"Keep your hands off of me, Lucius. I'm not in the mood to go to prison today."

Lucius cleared his throat, once again with that same cocky smirk and cold demeanor, "I'll get right to it."

"Please do. I'd much rather have my ears bled out slowly."

"You're quite the gentleman aren't you?"

"Are you finished? I'd like to get back to having the pleasure of being as far away from you as possible."

"I've come to tell you to keep your daughter away from Draco. I don't want your kind tainting him."

"My kind?"

"Yes. Your kind. I don't want Draco conversing with someone of your," He looked Dexter up and down slowly, with a sense of disgust as he took a step backward, when Dexter had gotten too close. "-caliber."

"This is joke right?" Dexter gave him a smug grin.

"I can assure you, it most certainly is not." He replied seriously.

"That's rich coming from you."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Lucius raised an eyebrow, grasping his walking stick, tightening his grip on it.

"Don't act stupid."

Dexter's smile fell. "I know what happened the other night was your doing Lucius." He said dangerously.

"What are you talking about?" Lucius asked incredulously.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"Payne, you've really got to sort out that mind of yours. Before you're thrown in the mental ward at St. Mungos." He drawled, rolling his eyes and stepping away.

"I know you were involved with that attack."

This stopped Malfoy dead in his tracks; the world tilting from its axis.

"What did you say?" A surging fire in his eyes, quickly extinguished by that same marble statuesque gaze that met Payne's. On the borderline of enraged and appalled.

"My daughter's life hung in the balance that night." Dexter grabbed Malfoy cruelly by the arm, and yanking him back to where he stood. "Your son is the one who needs to stay away from Isabella."

"Isabella?" Lucius scoffed, shaking his head. "I still don't know why you even bothered to take in that brat. She'll never amount to anything. Not with that sort of background. Imagine. A witch of pureblood, from a well-known wealthy family no less...Marrying a muggle? Now you're stuck with half-breeds who don't even carry your blood."

"The very thought of it is unspeakable." He added in.

"Insult Katerina again." Dexter Payne, pulled the man's closer, daring him to repeat the same verse again. "Go ahead. Insult any of them." His fist clenched in anger as it rested near his hip. "And you can explain to your wife how you ended up with a broken lip and two missing front teeth."

"Must this all end in violence Payne? Is that really all you know?" He snapped, thrusting himself off of Dexter's vice like grip.

"Keep you and your family away from her. Or I'll kill you."

"Are you threatening me? You? Threaten me?"

Dexter made no notion to repeat himself and merely threw daggers at the man before him.

"Keep your 'son' away from my daughter."

"Gladly." Lucius straightened his robes, and cleared his throat as yet another person happened to pass by them. "I'd kill myself before I allow Draco to end up with your little brat."

"The feeling is mutual. I assure you."

"Payne? Malfoy? What are you two still doing here?"

The third guest, who had announced his presence with a question, stood a few feet away, confused with the scenario he had happened to walk into.

"Arthur?" Dexter shifted his attention to the right, stuffing his hands into his pocket. "You're here rather late."

"I got stuck with a few extra raids this week." Arthur Weasley tucked his paperwork under his arm and forced a smile at Dexter. "So I've been trying to finish up by spending a few extra hours each day."

Lucius, like the coward he was, turned on his heel and left, robes billowing behind him. The bone of his stick slamming on the floors as he stormed away and into the elevator, looking furious as ever.

It didn't take long for Arthur to put two and two together and he studied Dexter, brows scrunched into his forehead. "Dexter? Everything alright?"

"Grand." He replied sarcastically. "Just grand."

"This wouldn't have anything to do with what happened last week would it?"

Dexter quickly turned his head. Like dogs do when they hear food being dropped into their bowls. "Who told you?" He went pale.

"Why the whole ministry's talking about it." Arthur shrugged, pulling out his pocket-watch and checking the hour.

"But how? I never told anyone." He was trying to keep calm on the outside but on the inside was a melting pot of scrambled emotions. Anger, frustration, fright, sadness, regret...

"Dexter, you made partner with Anderson. The whole Ministry heard about that. Well I should say the whole world did. Hard to keep anything quiet these days." Arthur smiled up at his comrade. "Frankly, I don't know why you and Katerina aren't celebrating over the merge of your two companies."

"Oh." He sighed in relief. "The merger..." He tried his best to contain the overwhelming sensation that shuttered through his heart, with a smile. "With Andrew. Yes. We signed the paperwork last Sunday morning. Figured expanding both companies would benefit both of us."

"Well brooms and potions aren't exactly what I would call beneficial. But I suppose I could see how the overall combination work very well in your favors. There's a lot of money to be made there."

"And paperwork." Dexter added in, his tense body softening. Thank the stars above this had leaked out instead of the attack of Voldemort against his daughter. He tried hard to contain himself from beating Draco and Lucius within an inch of their lives whenever he saw their name or a head of blond hair move past him. Merlin did he try.

That was a little over 2 years ago. The memory resurfacing itself as Dexter stood on the sidelines watching as the enemy, dueling his own daughter. How had things changed. In more ways than he had liked. His only daughter, married to the son of the man he despised more than the devil himself. He swore that man was the devil in disguise. The voices of the wizard and witch standing in front of him, brought the scene playing in his head like a dream wisped into a dark fog as he rubbed his eyes, a speckle of dust entering his eye as the wind bustled into his face.

"Come on Draco. Can't you do a little better than that?" Isabella smirked, deflecting his attack with a flick of her wand.

Dexter, with a wave of his wand, knocked Isabella down to the ground. "Never let your guard down when facing an opponent. It gives them an opportunity to strike."

He paced in between the two exchanging glances. "Again." He ordered, walking out of range and observing the two.

"But we've been at this for hours." Isabella whined, sitting down on the ground, and pouting, staring up at Draco who was dressed nearly identical to Dexter's attire despite the cold settling in. His muscles, she couldn't help but stare at him. Malfoy looked ravishing, his muscles rippling as he crossed his arms and smirked at her. If she said she didn't want to tear his clothes off right then and there, surely lightning would strike her down for that biggest of fibs.

Dexter watching them close by, his own sleeves rolled up on his white buttoned up shirt. A black tie neatly wrapped around his neck, a pair of black slacks and shined shoes completing his authoritative like stance.

"Can't we take a break, my arms are getting tired."

"Death Eaters don't take breaks. Now get up and start again. Malfoy, you start this time and Isabella, deflect his attacks. Watch his movements and wait for your opportunity."

Draco held his wand up, waiting for Izzy to get hers up too before casting a stupefy spell at her.

He took a couple steps closer to her, wanting to strengthen the spell, as Izzy had her protego shield up in front of her.

"Come on, Toretto." Draco said with a smirk, becoming cocky.

She glared at him and cast Avis on Draco. Sending a swarm of Avifors which in Izzy's case were ravens flying in his direction, attacking him at all sides.

While the raven's were shielding her for a few brief seconds Isabella saw this as her opportunity to strike casting, "Everte Statum!" which inflicts pain towards the victim, causing them to stumble and fall. Its bright orange hue shooting out of the tip of her wand.

Draco who was distracted by the ravens nipping at him, casting spells in ever which way to get rid of them, didn't realize that Izzy was shooting a spell at him until it slammed into him.

He let out a cry of pain before tripping over his own two legs and then falling onto his back. He laid there for a few seconds in pain, bringing his hand up to stomach where he was hit.

He let out a moan, sitting up and looking at Izzy.

"What happened to keeping each other uninjured?!" He snapped.

Isabella crossed her arms, tapping her foot and looking very pleased with herself. "You agreed to that, not me. And besides we're supposed to be preparing ourselves. In a real duel, our opponent is not going to take it easy on you."

"She's right Malfoy." Dexter took a few steps, stopping right before Draco and extending his arm and helping him to his feet. "Don't show any mercy or weakness. When dueling another wizard, you must always assume that they will be relentless. Showing even the slightest weakness can mean the difference between life and death."

"Again." Dexter repeated, crossing his own arms over his chest and standing at the sidelines. He smiled, the first he had shown during his visits to Romania every few weeks after spending the a few days over at the home. From what he had told them, her mother had no idea of her whereabouts and still believed them to be dead. It was for her safety, or so he said. To keep Death Eaters from targeting her for information on Draco.

"You really going to let my own daughter beat you?" Dexter lips curved into a playful smile. "A girl besting a Malfoy? Better yet, pretend she's a Death Eater, so you'll at least want to fight back."

Draco grinned, staring at Dexter as he grabbed his wand off the ground and holding it up towards Izzy.

"Do you really want your daughter to be a Death Eater?" Draco asked, still grinning, then turning back to Izzy.

"Come on Death Eater Malfoy, time for me to knock you down." He added playfully.

Isabella beckoned him to come at her with his worst, her wand pointed straight out.

"Try me." She yelled, standing defensively, watching her breathing, listening carefully as a stillness quaff through the European air. "What are you waiting for Malfoy? Going to take the coward's way out?"

Dexter smirked at his daughter's cockiness and boldness, "Enough talking, you'd both be dead by now."

Without warning, Draco took a couple steps towards Izzy, shooting every spell he could think at her, one right after the other, not taking his eyes off her. He gripped his wand tight, so much so that his knuckles turned white even against his pale skin; each and every one being deflected and sent back, tenfold.

He let out a groan as he shot one last spell at her, yelling it out loud as to make it more powerful, his hope to disarm her.

"Expellarimus!"

Isabella's wand leaped from her hands and landed right into Draco's. "Hey!" She exclaimed, groaning and frowning at him, the two panting heavily; her hands on her knees as she leaned over them, catching her breath. "You won. So what?"

"Glad to see you have a bit of spark in you Malfoy. But that still isn't good enough." Dexter continued his pacing, looking at the ground and back at the two while he spoke. "Defensive spells aren't going to save you. What happens if someone comes at you with a killing curse? Are you going to just hope that your spell disarms them? Try harder. Once more please, and this time actually try to harm one another."

"But Daddy-"

"I don't want to hear it Isabella. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't prepare you to the fullest. Now again." He levitated Isabella's wand over to her end of the field.

She took it in her hands once more and sighed. "Do we have to?"

"Do you want to die? Or live?" Dexter shook his head and groaned displeased. "Again."

Even Draco, who had been trained to duel from an early age, was tired of dueling at this point. He was exhausted, and he knew Izzy was too.

"If we don't take a break we won't get to fight any Death Eaters." He glanced at Izzy before looking back at Dexter, knowing he would have her support. "Can't we continue this tomorrow? You're killing us."

"Daddy, I'm tired."

Dexter looked over at his daughter, who was laying on the ground, resting as she watched the clouds roll by, taking a break even if Dexter wasn't too fond of the idea.

"Fine. We can continue tomorrow, but I want both of you up bright and early. We're using actual weapons. Bows, swords, arrows and the like. Covering all our bases." He walked back to the house with his sleeves rolled up and tie whipping around.

"That man is going to kill us." Isabella groaned, not bothering to wait until Dexter had left the field entirely to say what was on her mind.

Draco walked over to where Izzy was laying and fell down next to her, staring up at the clouds as well. "He's not serious about the swords and everything else, is he? I mean, what are the chances of a Death Eater coming at us with one of those?"

"Slim to none, but just humor the man. You never know if it might come in handy or not." She shrugged, "But it might be fun. I can teach you how to throw knives."

Draco let out a groan. "He's lucky I'm just trying to impress him and get him to like me, or else I wouldn't be sticking with this for as long as I have been." He ran a hand threw his hair, sighing. "And the only thing I wanna throw right now is a cover over my body as I lay in a bed." He chuckled slightly, feeling like he was going to pass out from exhaustion.

"Look. I see a wrackspurt." Isabella pointed at the clouds, the sun slowly setting as violet and orange hues filled the skies, diminishing the amount of light around them.

"What in Merlin's name is a wrackspurt?" Draco scoffed, squinting his eyes in his attempt to get a better picture. "I don't see anything."

"They're little creatures that go into your head and make your brain go fuzzy and act strange."

He laughed, grabbing her hand and molding his fingers to lock with hers. "You've spent too much time around Loony-Lovegood." Draco's large hand wrapped around her own, squeezing it gently. "And I can't have that. You're mental enough as it is." This earned him an elbow to the shoulder.

She went to pull her hand out of his but found it pinned in his palm. His lips curved into a devilish grin, lips inching closer to hers, his eyes wandering towards her pools of gold and back to her tantalizing gates of heaven he called her lips.

With the simplest of caresses, he brought his hand to her face, brushed his thumb against her peony pink lips and tilted her chin towards his, bringing the challenger to her knees as he kissed her, gently yet seductively, stroking his tongue against her bottom lip and pulling away just as she was about to open up the kiss for him.

"That's for knocking me to the ground." He whispered, smiling to himself as she frowned and pouted.

"Whatever." She turned her body over, allowing her to look at him with ease, "I'm going to bed."

"Flattery will get you nowhere." Draco grinned, pulling her back towards him and running his hand across her stomach, gently nibbling on her ear and trailing a few gentle and slow kisses down her neck and towards her jawline.

Isabella let out a soft whine, turning around to meet his lips and ensue a battle of tongues, but he, quicker than she could respond, pulled himself away, standing up off the ground and holding his hand out for her to take.

"I'll tell you what. You can take the knives tomorrow, and I'll take the axe. And then we'll see who wins."\

"You are the biggest tease on this Earth and I hate you." She groaned internally, taking his arm anyways.

He gave her another kiss before they started heading indoors.

"You're not bribing me with sex. I hope you know that."

Draco lowered his head to hide his smile, biting his lip. "You know I'd win anyways."

"Where are you going?" Dominic asked following them with his eyes as the couple walked through the doorway and up the stairs.

"To bed. Where do you think? We're tired. Dad's worked us to the bone, our arms are going to fall off!"

"There won't be any funny business. Trust me." Draco reassured him. "We're just going to pass out." He put his hand on Izzy's lower back, allowing her to go up the stairs first and lead the way. He could hear the bed calling their name already and only hoped that Dexter didn't see them going into the same room as well. Sure, they were married, but he knew that meant nothing to his father in law.

She moved to Draco's room, since her own room was still in repairs from Draco's little fiasco. Changing into a fresh set of clothes; Isabella collapsed on the bed.

"Come on Malfoy." She joked, crying out for sleep and rest she was in desperate need of. "I need human companionship."

He laid down next to her, opening up his arms and putting her inside of them, pressing her against his chest as they laid there. "Didn't I tell you everything would be alright in the end?" He closed his eyes as he spoke. "Sure, we're exhausted. But at least we're not in Azkaban... or dead."

"Or dead." She mumbled, as her eyes were already closing on their own. "I like the not dead part."

It's true she was tired after Dexter's boot camp, but in a way she was glad. She had seen her father once again, spent time with him, ecstatic that he had seen a good side in Draco. Even if he didn't want to admit it.

"See you in the morning."

"I love you." Draco mumbled, quickly falling into a deep slumber.

He awoke in what seemed like seconds later, only he wasn't in his room anymore, and Isabella wasn't at his side.

He was in a dark, cold, depressing room, surrounded by black brick walls. He stared around curiously, a mole thrown into the sunshine.

"Draco?"

He spun around instantly, spotting his father right away.

"Do you see what you did to me, Draco? This is all your fault. But we can fix this. You can save me. You can stop your mothers torture of worrying about the two of us." Lucius was once again, in the only bit of light in the room, standing tall and proud, with what looked like chains bound to the wall behind him. The cries of innocent souls wallowing in their own pits of hell dimming the only 'sunshine' the area had.

"Mums worried?" Draco asked, Lucius smirking, nodding his head. "Well I don't want mum to worry." He sounded unsure of himself, but the idea of his mother being in any pain what so ever made his heart break.

"Then you know what you have to do, don't you?" Lucius's smirk on grew. "Kill the girl. Kill her and then you are free to save her. Kill your wife, Draco!"

Draco awoke with a start, jumping slightly in his sleep as he stared around the room. He felt the presence of someone in his arms and glanced down, smirking when he saw the black of her hair. He unraveled his arms from her, grabbing silk threads around her skull and spinning her around violently to face him, jumping on top of her and pinning her arms above her head before she became conscious enough to defend herself and figure out what was going on.

"Wha-" She said groggily and half opened her eyes looking around and seeing Draco holding her down.

"Love, I'm not in the mood for this right now. Maybe tomorrow." She merely smiled at him with her eyes closed and attempted sleep once more. "Just go to bed. It'll be morning in a few hours and we have to be up to finish training."

Holding both of her arms up with one hand now, he brought his other down to her face, squeezing it rather hard as he forced her to look straight at him.

"I don't want to have sex with you, you disgusting prick." He spat. "For you to even assume so is just another reason for me to kill you. As if you being the reason my mother is suffering isn't enough."

"Draco, if you are having another episode-I suggest you snap out of it now before I bash your face in with my fist. You annoying brat." She attempted to kick him off with no such luck.

Seeing as he didn't give her much choice, Isabella morphed into her Animagus and bit him hard in the arm, jerking his hand loose from her. With a quick jump from the bed, she stood tall, baring her teeth and growling low.

Draco let out a yell of pain, holding his arms as blood starting pouring from it. He glared at Izzy, pulling his wand out and pointing it directly at her, chains shooting from it and wrapping around her, throwing her farther down onto the ground.

Draco jumped on her in an instant, the hand from his uninjured arm grabbing her muzzle and holding it shut as tightly as he could while she was trying to bark. He sat on top of her, pulling out his wand and pointing it at her, now slightly out of breath.

"You fucking bitch. You're going to pay for biting me, you know."

Isabella struggled under him, shaking her head fiercely and kicking despite Draco had her trapped. Some of the chains cutting off her oxygen, the more she struggled, the harder it became to breathe.

Menacing growls continued to emit from the back of Isabella's throat. She wasn't about to go down without a fight, even if it was her husband in his subconscious that was trying to kill her.

Draco laughed, watching her struggle under him, pulling at the hair on the top of her head teasingly inbetween running the tip of his wand around her neck.

"Tell me, how would you like a nice cruciatious curse to teach you a lesson? I think I could enjoy watching you squeal around in your animagus form. In fact... I bet I could put you in so much pain... that you'd actually change back into your human form. And then, the fun can really begin."

Continuing to attempt breaking free, she kicked with all her might; trying to pry her mouth open, and give him a good bite; Shaking her head with a bit more force this time, whipping it sharply.

The feeling of her limbs crumbling beneath Draco's weight and odd position.

As soon as I get loose Malfoy, I am going to give you such a beating. You won't be able to walk for days.

"Stop moving around!" Draco yelled at her. "Bloody hell, you can't even get tortured right!" He brought his wand tip up to the top of her head. "Speaking of which." He jumped off of her as he did so and pulling the chains with him, wanting to watch her roll around in pain.

"Crucio." He muttered under his breath.

She yelped with such an intensity that it would have caused a sane wizards, or any living creature's blood to curl and began to writhe in agony.

Her cries sharp; her body convulsing as once again, the oxygen was leaving her. She tried to emit a call for help, but was unable to, as every call was overcast with yelping, their room furthest away from the others.

No one was coming to help her this time, Dominic and Charlie being heavy sleepers. Her only hope was that either Roxy or Bart had heard her and came to her aide, awakening one of the men from their slumbers. She whined pitifully, her legs jerking every which way with each spasm.

Barking and scratching suddenly came from the door, so loud that it carried through the house, Roxy on the other side, clearly hearing Izzy in the pain she was in.

Draco released the curse from Isabella at the sound of the dog barking, immediately going over to the door to shut the dog up before she woke up the whole house.

He threw the door open, and when he saw nothing, slammed it again, walking back over to Izzy and pointing his wand at her again. "Change back, you useless witch. Or this is going to be a long night for you."

Isabella was breathing heavily, unable to even speak correctly. Every word she uttered was completely indistinguishable, as she laid on her side, gripping to her stomach in pain; tears rolling down her face, still in her wolf form. She didn't dare change back, for if she did, it would have meant death.

Go to hell.

Draco snickered, shaking his head and staring at her, pulling the curse off of her. "You can either change back on your own... or I'll make you." He said darkly.

When she did nothing, he grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and threw her against the wall, pointing his wand at her and uttering the spell that would bring her back to a form in which he could speak to her.

He walked over to her, laying on the ground now back in her human form, and grabbed her by her shirt, lifting her up and throwing her against the wall, his wand jabbing into her neck.

She winced at the pain she was in, every breath was agony. With the last bit of strength she had in her, Isabella grasped Draco's wrist, gripping to it as she tried to break free. Choking as Draco's wand was cutting even more of her air supply off. She opened her mouth to speak again, but his weapon would not allow it.

He smirked, reaching over to one of the drawers and pulling a knife out. He stared at it, bringing it to her neck and giving her a small cut. He laughed as she winced, bringing it now up to her face. He ran the tip along her cheek.

"You're going to die, Toretto. What does that feel like? To know that?"

She spit in his face, glaring at him, despite the blood coming from her neck. "Go ahead kill me. Frankly, I'm tired of all your annoying and stupid childish relapses. I'll take George back, at least he's not trying to constantly kill me."

Draco laughed, shaking his head at her and wiping the spit from his face. "You think I care about you and Weasel? Maybe you should go back to him. You two were perfect for each other. You can sleep with him again even though you don't want to." He smirked.

"What are you waiting for? Aren't you so eager to kill me? With my own knife no less?" Isabella gasped, "You are going to get such a beating when you come to your senses."

"Fine." He spat, throwing her to the ground again. "You want to die? Then I'll make it happen." He put the cruciatus curse on her again, making sure to make it even more powerful than the first time.

"You asked for this!" He said as she laid on the ground in pain.

She let out another scream, as her body convulsed again. Her back arching and doubling over; her limbs again jerking in involuntary movements. Her cries were so loud that his ears were ringing as the sound reached them.

The door was slammed open and a figure came rushing over and threw Draco violently over the floor and across the room; stealing his wand in the process.

A pair of Sapphire blue eyes met his gaze as a wand was pointed to Draco's throat. "You bastard! How dare you harm my little girl?!" He grabbed Draco by the collar of his shirt, forcing him to meet his eyes.

"Answer me you filth!"

"Ari. Ari, talk to me. Come on." Dominic whimpered as he rushed in and went to his sister that was seeping blood.

He cradled her head, running his hand through her hair, stroking it. "Charlie! Charlie, get in here!"

"You're ok. You're going to be ok." He said to her, convincing himself in the process. His own hand covering the slit on her neck. His two fingers tinted with sticky red dust.

Just like the last time this had happened, the force of someone shoving Draco knocked him back to his senses. He stared around the room, eyes wide as they met Izzy laying the on the floor and he realized what he had done. He opened his mouth to speak to Dexter, to apologize and explain himself, but instead found his voice gone. He stared between Dexter and Izzy, and when he felt tears coming to his eyes, he shoved Dexter as hard as he could.

"Get off me!" He yelled, pushing past him and Dom and running out of the room and down the stairs, bolting out the door and finally collapsing in the field outside of the house, head falling into his hands as tears ran down his cheeks.

"Daddy? Dom? What are you-" She groaned in pain and whimpered, feeling as if a pile of bricks had been dropped on her body.

"What in-" Charlie froze as he came through the doorway and fell to his knees as he went to them, examining Isabella in the process. "What's going on? Did she-"

Dominic shook his head, "It happened again."

"Again?" Charlie exclaimed, looking stunned. "I thought those stopped?"

"Apparently not." As Dominic lifted his hand, a tiny trickle of blood was gently seeping and splashed onto his hand.

"You kept pressure on it that's good. We just need to fix her up and she'll be right as rain in no time."

Dexter stormed out after Draco and found him kneeled over in the middle of the field. "Do anything to protect her? Weren't those your exact words?"

Draco lifted his head up slightly at hearing Dexter behind him, but didn't look at him. He kept his attention on the darkness that hovered over the field, tears still running down his face.

"Maybe you were right..." He said, voice coarse. "Maybe I do belong in Azkaban. At least there... my subconscious can't hurt her."

"You're going to stay away from her." Was all Dexter said, before going back to the house and checking up on his daughter.

"How is she?" He asked softly, speaking to Charlie and Dominic.

"She'll be fine. Just beat up." Charlie said, his wand tracing over the places where she was injured. "Where's Malfoy?"

Dom looked up at Dexter, waiting for him to answer Charlie's question. "He said this would happen again." He said, now looking back at Izzy, speaking to himself. "He said he can't help it."

"Again?! Oh that's complete Bullshit! How can he not help hurting her to that extent? He nearly killed her!" Dexter began pacing about the room, throwing out swear after swear.

Dom sighed. "I'm not defending him, but you have to admit that the way he acted isn't the way a normal person would act in a situation like this." He took a look at Izzy again before meeting Dexters eyes. "He said his father brainwashed him. Can control him, make him believe that he needs to kill Izzy. I've watched them together for the past couple months, and so has Charlie. I..." He sighed again. "I don't think he would harm her. You don't want it to be, but what they have is true."

"He's not a normal person. He's a bloody Malfoy! There's no way in hell that I am leaving her alone again. I'm taking her with me; Katerina deserves to know the truth." He contemplated her broken form and sighed. "I'm leaving tomorrow."

"And what about him?" Charlie asked, standing up and up and looking at Dexter. "Are you really going to separate the two of them?

"I have every right to. He's done nothing but ruin my life and Isabella's." Dexter took a step forward. "If she was your daughter, what would you do?"

"I'd trust her." Dom sighed. "You see, that's the problem with being a parent and growing up. You forget how much you wished your parents understood you and trust your own decisions. If she makes a mistake, then let her. It's her own life."

"Exactly. It's her life! And I'm not willing to risk her losing it on account of me trusting her. My mind is made up. She's coming home with me. And as far as that brat, he can go to hell." Dexter spat, gently bending low and picking up Isabella in his arms. "She asleep?"

Charlie nodded, "I gave her a small dose of a sleeping draught. She'll be knocked out for a few hours."

Dom shook his head slightly at Dexters decision, not agreeing with it fully, his trust having grown slightly in Draco. "I'm coming with you then, too." Dom said, eyeing his step father and daring him to disagree with him.

"If you're going to send Draco to hell, then you're going to have a fight on your hands with Izzy. You'll need me."

"I doubt that. But suit yourself." Dexter shrugged, taking a few steps towards the door. "Pick up her things and bring them." He started his descent down the stairs with his daughter limply hanging from his arms.

Draco was now standing by the door, arms folded in front of him, staring at the ground.

When he heard Dexter's booming approach, he looked up, his heart skipping a beat when he saw the state Izzy was in.

"Is she... will she...?" He was at a loss of words, knowing he was completely at fault even though his subconscious had done this to him.

Dexter didn't bother giving Draco a look and simply moved throughout the house, gathering his possessions and disappearing into rooms briefly.

"She'll be ok." Dominic sighed, "Malfoy. He's taking her-Back home. I tried to convince him otherwise, but he wouldn't have any of it."

Draco shook his head, now looking down at the ground. "I can't be away from her. I just-...We've been through so much. I need to be with her, to know that she's okay."

"She will be ok," Dexter came back into the sitting room, with a bag floating beside him. "Once she's back home." He glared, passing by the two and out the door.

Draco stared at him, watching him leave nervously. "He hates me. He always will." He turned to look back at Dom.

"You should stay here Draco. In case someone else comes looking for you back at our manor."

"I'm not going to stay here. I NEED to stay with her. Death Eaters will probably go after her again once they find out she's back in England." Draco explained, hand fingering his wand out of instinct.

Dominic turned to Charlie and then back to Draco. "This isn't a good idea. What if-"

"She's a sitting duck in there! Please." He was begging...Something he hated doing above everything else. But his pride could wait. This was more important.

"Alright, but as a warning." Dominic threw the bag over his shoulder, "You should expect hell to come to Earth when he finds out you followed me back."

After bidding his farewell to Charlie and Bart, he took notice of their Golden Retriever who sat patiently by the fireplace. "Bring your dog too. No sense in leaving her here alone with Charlie."

Draco nodded, patting his leg. "Come on, Rox."

Roxy came walking over to him, her tail not wagging, as she looked up at Draco with sad eyes. He bent down, patting the top of her head.

"It'll be alright." He assured her, not even sure how things were going to turn out after he showed up unexpectedly at his wife's home.

He glanced back up at Dom. "Let's just go and get this over with."

"Dexter's already gone. So we'll have to fly there." Dominic said and went to the barn, bringing back his Hippogriff and mounting him.

The sun would rise in a few hours, but as of now the skies were still black. "It's 3 in the morning; can you fly in this light?"

Draco nodded. "I'll manage. As long as you lead."

Draco transformed, walking over to Roxy and standing on his hind legs, grabbing her and getting ready to take flight. He was happy for the sudden need to be a dragon, not wanting to have to speak to anyone at the time anyway.

He was just hoping Roxy wasn't in the mood to question him.

This was going to be a long night...and an even longer morning.
