Flowers

It has been a really productive day for the flower shop. As usual this time of the year, Valentine's day was the busiest day for the flower shop. The Yamanaka flowers are the most sought after flowers in the whole of Konoha for this holiday.

Ino sighed as she glanced at the clock, it was a little after eight in the evening. She just finally put the closed sign on the flower shop's door, the store closing much later today than usual. Glancing at the now almost empty shop, the store actually did well for this year's event. Almost all of the flowers have been sold out. The blonde heaved out a relieved and happy sigh. Everywhere, someone out there was being made happy by her shop's flowers.

As she approached the counter, she couldn't help but noticed the four bouquets of flowers that were left in the shop. Out of all the flowers that she arranged for that day, the four arrangements were her favorites.

She walked over to the first flower bouquet. It was built of white calla lilies mixed in with pink Gerbera daisies and yellow Freesia. It means pure and innocent love and it was a perfect depiction of the shy girl and the leaf's hero relationship.

The next bouquet contained arrangement of lavender Gladioli, pink roses and white Alstroemeria. A clear representation of the stoic Hyuga and the weapon master kunoichi's bond. It symbolizes faithfulness, friendship, dedication and great admiration.

The third flower arrangement was composed of a variety of tulips in colors of red, white and violet. It was a declaration of love between two people, together with forgiveness and a promise of faithfulness. It was the best portrayal of the connection between her pink haired best friend and the once branded traitor Shinobi of the leaf.

She smiled as she made the final touches for the three bouquets. She knew the three Shinobi would be walking on her shop's door any minute coming directly from their mission. Right on cue, her shop's door opened and Naruto, Neji and Sasuke walked in.

"Hey guys!" Ino happily greeted. "The flowers on the left are for you Naruto. In the middle is for Neji and lastly the red tulips are for you, Sasuke." She said pointing to the flowers in front of her.

The three men nodded and reached for the bouquets on the table. Ino waved her hand when she saw Naruto reaching for his green frog purse.

"It's on the house guys!" She grinned.

Naruto looked at her, baffled and replied, "Oh, we cannot do that."

"Let us pay you." Neji offered.

Sasuke smirked, "We will pay."

Ino shook her head, smiling. "Don't worry. Just make sure that my friends are happy tonight. That's all the payments I will need." She reassuringly said to them. She widened her smile and the three men eventually smiled back.

"You are the best Ino-chan!" Naruto enthusiastically answered, shoving his wallet back in his jacket.

Neji nodded and Sasuke mumbled a thanks. The three men then proceed to exit her shop, with the flowers in their hands.

"Have fun and make sure they are satisfied!" She hurriedly said before, they leave. She winked at them and playfully chuckled.

Neji, Naruto and Sasuke blushed and quickly disappeared out her door.

Turning around, Ino happily returned to her seat to wait.

"Troublesome, how about me?" A lazy voice called out.

Ino smiled and turned around to meet Shikamaru's hazel brown eyes. She reached out to the last bouquet on the table and held it fondly. Rich red roses and mini carnations against the pastel colors of red and white chrysanthemums were arranged into a large bouquet.

"Here, just as you ordered." Ino grinned.

The lazy genius chuckled and walked towards her. Wrapping his arms around her, their lips met in one deep kiss.

It was the symbol of fidelity, loyalty and truth, a passionate pure love.

A promise of forever.
