Steve's pov:

I saw Anna look at me for the last time. I watched her close her eyes for forever. We closed the portal and we captured Loki. I was happy and sad. I lifted up Anna and she was cold. I wrapped my arms around her. I felt a faint heart beat. I knew she wouldn't give up so fast.

"Banner!" I yelled. He looked at me. Banner was out of being the hulk and was helping out pick up. He looked up.

"I feel a heart beat." I said. He took Anna's pulse.

"Amazing." He said. He picked her up and took her back to base. I went with them. I flew back tired. I got some medical help for some bandages. My ribs were broken. They feel better because they have healed some. I was so worried for Anna. What would I do with out her?

"Mr. Rogers?" Dr. Banner called. I went down to the his lab. I ran and hurried over to see if Anna was going to be okay.

"Is she going to be okay?" I asked worried.

"That's complicated." He said sighing. Isn't it always complicated?...

"What do you mean?"

"She is starting to show her age. She lost the blood and her serum was in the blood. Soon she will be 92. Then her heart will give up. She was stabbed in the stomach and she hasn't healed. She will die."

"Isn't there anything you can do?" I pleaded. I watched as Dr. Banner thought. That gave me a small bit of hope.

"This is a stretch but it could work." Banner said thinking out loud.

"What!" I was so desperate to save Anna. I would do about anything.

"We would take your blood and give some to Anna. Her body is used to the serum so it might work. But it has a bigger change into failing." He said.

"I'll do it."

"Okay." Dr. said. He took a needle and stuck into my arm. He took about a pint of blood he said. He made me leave the room and go and eat something. I was really nervous that this would work and Anna would be okay.

Banner's pov:

This isn't going to work. She's already dead. I thought to myself. I hated to lie to Steve but he just wanted to hear that she was going to be okay. She isn't. If some crazy thing happens and she will be okay she won't have her full powers. She will have something like Rogers but weaker since the original serum was not injected into her. I injected Steve's blood into Anna praying for a miracle. I also injected her with a new drug Fury said might help. I've never heard of this drug before but Fury said it was brand new and it worked wonders. I prayed that both of them will work together and Anna might show signs of improvement. I walked out of the lab. If anything were to happen it would not be for a while...

Natasha's pov:

"Is she going to be alright?" I asked Banner. He shook his head.

"she's dead?" I asked.

"To be honest I'm not sure. I've never had this before. She is turning older soon she will be 93. Her body is reacting with not heartbeat and she's almost brain dead." he said sadly

"is there something you can do?"

"I went out on a limb and injected Steve's blood into her. Her body is used to the serum and if it works it should fix everything. Anna lost a lot of blood and her serum was in her blood so she has barely any left. I also injected her with a drug that helps will cell growth, but its a new drug so it might not show the improvements that we need. " Banner told me.

"Thanks for everything," I said before heading to my room. I was so tired from today. Tomorrow we Thor will take Loki back to Asgard. (I hope that's how you spell it).

I really needed a hug. I saw Clint and its like he read my mind. He walked over and opened his arms. They wrapped around my tiny waist making me fell safe.

"She will be okay." He whispered in my ear. I nodded as a single tear ran down my cheek and shortly others followed.

Tony's pov:

I sat down watching Steve eat everything in site. How could he eat when all this bad stuff happened.

"how can you eat right now?" I asked him. He shrugged

"I'm hungry" he said. I guess that's an answer.

"Do you want to go get some food?" I asked

"I don't want to leave because in Anna wakes up I want to see her." He said. Poor boy, she's not waking up. Everyone knows that.

"Steve..."

"She's waking up!" He yelled

"I don't think she is!" I yelled at him

"I do" He said.

"wake up! She is dead! She has no heart rate! Her brain is almost dead and she lost to much blood! There is nothing that good will come out of this!"

"You don't have a heart rate." He said. I felt my chest. I didn't I have the arc-reacter.

"steve don't believe in something that won't happen." I said

"I did. And I became this!" He said and pointed to himself. I knew what he meant. He had the small chance of making it into the army and he did and he turned into super captain.

"Steve you can make excuses but you have to come to reality. She is gone. I'm sorry too and I know it hurts but you have to face reality." I said. I left the room. Steve just stayed there in the same seat. Steve isn't stupid. He knows I'm right he just doesn't want to admit it.

Steve's pov:

Stark was right. It's hopeless. As much as I want Anna to be here with me she will never be. I find myself stand up and go to Dr. Banner's lab to say my goodbye. I find Anna asleep. Her face is pale, she looks peaceful. I touch her hand. It's cold, with no heart beat.

"Anna, you've been so good to me." I start out saying. I sit down next to her and hold her hand that was ice cold. She was lifeless.

"I think you where the first girl who could keep a conversation with me." I said smiling thinking of having a great time with her.

"Bucky liked you a lot. To be truthful so did I. From the first time I saw you I loved you. It's been 70 years and nothing has changed. You're beautiful now and you where beautiful then. I love you so much." I say. Tears come rolling down my face before I could stop them.

"Thank you for all you have done for me. I will miss you so much. I love you so much Anna." I said. I kissed her hand for the last time. I got up and I left. I closed the door.

I found Banner with Ms. Romanoff talking.

"She's dead." I say. I walk away then. I go to my room to be alone, because that's all I want right now.
