Chapter 25: What's Been Holding Back
Inuyasha and his father continue on clashing each other with Tetsusaiga. "Inuyasha whenever we clash, Tetsusaiga shows me for what you've been going through every since you claimed it." Inutaishou said to his son with stern look. Inuyasha shows his eyes with shame. "I know exactly what happened throughout your time when you fight with Tetsusaiga." Inutaishou continues on his lecture. Hearing more of his father's words, Inuyasha begins to feel more ashamed.
"You're right father." Inuyasha admits to stabs the blade into the ground to support his weight. Inutaishou cautiously comes up to him, as well keeping his guard up to be on the safe side. "I have failed so many times when I fight against my enemies." Inuyasha voiced his history. "I knew I should've done better to be a better person." He admits his opinion. Inutaishou keeps his expression. "But it made me think." He adds. Inutaishou narrows his eyes. "What came to your mind?" Inutaishou asks his son. Inuyasha looks back up. "You should've know that I was able to see your past." Inutaishou widens his eyes. "What was it that you see?" He asks more of his never-ending list of questions. "I saw you had hard times as I have. I managed to see you had difficulties fighting Hyoga from the Continent, Ryokotsusei the Dragon. You could've done better than what you did instead of sealing them away." Inuyasha reminds his fathers fights back when he was alive.
Inutaishou kind of knew that his son would have known this would happen. "Inuyasha, we're talking about your purpose of achieving Bankai, not about our personal past." The great dog demon said to him. "But this is suppose to help me understand for what I did wrong and correct it." Inuyasha replies as his grip on the hilt tightens. "Dad do you have any idea what it was like for me to survive? I was nothing more than an outsider, an outcast, misfit. I never belonged, no matter how far I went, no matter where I go, I was never accepted." Inuyasha growls at his father. "How could you do this to me? Even my mother, your mate, was having a hard time for me to feel I had a home but ever since she died, I was left alone!" He practically yells at him from the top of his lungs. "I did what I had to keep her safe from any one who would harm her." I couldn't bare to be left out, I wanted to become stronger!" He finished his statement. "Then stop doubting yourself!" Inutaishou roars at him. "That was the inner cause within yourself. You didn't wanted anyone to see your broken spirit, pride, and your turmoil." Inuyasha punches the ground with his free hand, knowing that his father was right about him.
"Then tell me what I have to do?" Inuyasha asks him desperately. Inutaishou stabs Tetsusaiga to ground like his son did and kneels down before him, "You need to stop doubting yourself, never let anyone know about your weakness, no negative thoughts as you think you'd be at your lowest point. You must think what's up ahead and know what you can use against them." He informs him. "But you must know the true meaning about getting stronger…" Inuyasha looks at him with his own golden eyes, "You must protect what's so important to you. I've seen that happening to you when you fought Takemaru with Sounga. You told them that you're part human in which Saya explains that humans are more arrogant and greedy than any other living creatures." Inuyasha mentally drops his jaw. "And you made it clear to them that you never give up, no matter what."
Inuyasha remembers his times what he did to approve himself to be a formidable opponent. "And this shouldn't be any different. Being here in the Soul Society is giving more than you give yourself credit for. So don't let anyone think about how weak you are." Inutaishou reminds his son's purpose to achieve his Bankai journey. "Inuyasha, Bankai is the great stage to finalize your synchronization with your Tetsusaiga." Inuyasha stares at his massive blade reflective surface. The blade pulsates into different formed, "You achieved the techniques, the Wind Scar, The Backlash Wave." Inutaishou smiles at the sword. "But you went beyond my expectations." Inuyasha looks up to him. "The Red Tetsusaiga that breaks demonic barriers, and the Adamant barrage which is given to you by Hosenki. Inuyasha you have more power within yourself to get through any obstacle." Inutaishou grabs a hold of his son's shoulder and the Tetsusaiga by his son's side. "Inuyasha, I'm your source of the Bankai." Inuyasha looks surprised. "How can that be it?" Inuyasha asks him dumb folded. "I will answer your question another time." Inutaishou said to his son.
Soon Inutaishou begins to glow a variant gold and sends it around Inuyasha and Tetsusaiga. He fuses himself within his son's own body. Inuyasha pulses within the glow and feel the unity of his father's power intertwining within his own.
Back in the training ground from deep within the Seireitei, Ichigo and Renji leans forward to see Inuyasha in his meditated state. "I presume Inuyasha is in unity to his Tetsusaiga." Zangetsu said to Ichigo as he appears behind his master. From the outside of Inuyasha's mind, Ichigo and Renji wait until something happens to Inuyasha. Inuyasha pulsates as well as his Tetsusaiga. Ichigo and Renji see Inuyasha's black wardrobe turns back into his red robe of the fire rat. But there's more to it. His father's armor has appears all around him. The shoulder pads and the armor edges have spikes on top of them. The back of the armor is flowing with a furry cape, along with his facial appearance he has the purple jagged stripes on his cheeks, along the eyes shape in his demonic form. The only thing that got him surprised is what the footwear he has one. He always was barefoot, ever since he was born, he never once wore a pair of boots or sandals like his friends have. Might as well deal with it for the time being. "This Bankai form is called Taishou Tetsusaiga." Inutaishou informs his son from within. Inuyasha nods showing that he understands his father's words. Ichigo and Renji are truly interested with Inuyasha's new Bankai outfit. Inuyasha opens his eyes, which still remain golden color. "So what is the name of your Bankai?" Ichigo asks Inuyasha. Inuyasha turns to face the two guys, "Taishou Tetsusaiga." Inuyasha sheaths his sword back into his sheath as he reverts back into his black soul reaper uniform. "I just want to inform you one thing, Inuyasha." Renji said to him. "Don't be in your Bankai form for too long." He advices him with a straight face. "Why can't I stay in my Bankai form?" Inuyasha crosses his arm like a little kid. "Because the longer you're in that state, the more spiritual pressure you'll unnoticeably release to attract hollows. Just a fair warning." Ichigo explains the reasons. "I had to learn that the hard way. Just don't be stupid to do it every time you are in a battle." Ichigo explains his experience with his first time in his Bankai form. "Sure, I'll remember that." Inuyasha said sarcastically and walks out of the training room.
