Chris's Recap:

"Last Time, on Total Drama Nui Kaua…

Katrina started to make good on her solo player threat by staying in the old Ka Malu O camp, and socializing with next to no one. Kokoke Island seemed to start getting to Victor as Pierre continuously monologued to both him and the audience. The Honua alliance once again began to show signs of cracking, and without a Galiris there to patch it all up, the cracks seem to have remained. Meanwhile, Julia and Evan both ran around terrified for the entire week, trying to figure out exactly who to vote for or what was going on. The challenge was retrieving the million dollar prize from Melody who absconded with it and made us cancel our bean bag challenge for the second time in a row. Guess it just wasn't meant to be. In the end, Pierre walked away with immunity and a stolen Legacy Tiki, but the true winner at the Po'ino Bonfire Ceremony was none other than Katrina who sent Julia home almost completely out of the blue, turning the entire game on its head. We have six campers left, and you can be sure that as we wring out every last bit of energy they have to offer, one of them will fall just sort and be our next lovely loser to take the Hang Glide of Shame. Find out who, right here! On Total! Drama! Nui Kaua!"

*Total Drama Theme Song Plays*

As the music begins, cameras emerge out of all the cabins, and each of the Twist Tikis is shown in different hiding spots.

Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine, you guys are on my mind

The camera zooms around all of the island before moving up and over Mt. Immolate, now with a bonfire and a hang glider atop the volcano, before diving into the water.

You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is plain to see,

Galiris and Dominique are both busy trying to avoid being grabbed by the giant octopus. While Dominique is avoiding it feverishly, Galiris is trying to fight it off. Briand jumps in from above and lands on the sea creature's head, causing it to spray ink everywhere.

I want to be famous

The camera pans up to reveal that Lucy and Cassandra had been swimming in the water. Shocked to see it turn black, they immediately begin swimming towards the dock, with the camera following them, where each contestant seen so far runs past Astral who is fiddling with her knife. When she sees a giant tentacle come out of the water, she momentarily is excited, before she realizes she did not summon it and joins the others in running.

I want to live close to the sun

The campers run by the ruined bridge and the entertainment bonfire pit, where Steven and Alice are singing a duet while Clay relaxes nearby.

So pack your bags, 'cause I've already won

A snake slithers up next to Clay and as Pierre creeps towards Clay's guitar case. Clay notices and Pierre bails out, rushing into the forest past Nixia and Evan.

Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day

Nixia and Evan are surrounded by all the animals of the jungle, but when Pierre rushes by, all the animals and Evan rush after him, leaving Nixia standing around confused, reaching out for Evan to come back.

'Cause I want to be famous

Camera moves through the woods to find Julia pulling a resisting Katrina by her hair as Katrina digs her heels into the ground and attempts to continue reading her book through the whole ordeal. When they notice Pierre, the animals, and Evan running towards them, they immediately hide in the foliage of the forest.

Na na nananana nanananana na nanananana

The camera cuts through the jungle, stopping momentarily at the Honeymoon Cabin, where Sherwood is attempting to break into the building, and Chef is getting out of an ATV to stop Sherwood.

I wanna be I wanna be I wanna be famous

The camera stops at a beach where Stephanie is relaxing in a beach chair and chatting up both Hayes and Aleister, the latter of whom is trying his best to seem tough by doing various poses, while Hayes listens politely and intently. Maddie then appears and chases both the boys off while reaching for their hair with a lighter, before closing said lighter and snuggling up towards Stephanie, offering her a chocolate bar.

I wanna be I wanna be I wanna be famous

Zubin and Kevin see the interaction between Stephanie, Maddie, Hayes, and Aleister take place and snicker to each other as they enter their team's cabin, and then immediately rush out of it, leaving the door open to reveal Galiris and Lucy completely covered in ink as Astral tries to clean them off to no avail.

The camera cuts to all the contestants sitting around the Po'ino Bonfire, with the Hang Glider of Shame nearby. As the other contestants whistle the rest of the song, Kaleaf and Lina lean in towards each other, about to kiss when Kaleaf is shoved aside by Deamian and he leans in towards Lina, who in turn is now hesitant and looking away. As Kaleaf punches Deamian out of the seat to reclaim it, the camera zooms out and lines are drawn between the stars in the sky to spell out the name of the show and season:

Total Drama Nui Kaua.

Location: Merge Cabin

Contestant(s): Evan, Lina, Zubin

Lina, Zubin, and Evan all silently paced around the Merge Cabin, each one hesitant to talk to either of the other two.

Confessional: Lina

"The worst possible thing just happened last ceremony. Kevin made a move alongside Katrina. I stuck with the group because I thought Kevin was with it too, but he didn't tell me anything about this before he did it, and now I can't talk to him about anything. But I do know that if he's willing to disobey Zubin, it might not be safe for me to stay in this alliance either...It's the final 6, but the Merge Cabin only houses three people this week, so if I want to make any progress further in the game, my only option right now is…"

End Confessional

"Evan...can I talk to you?" Lina whispered as she and Evan passed each other in a hallway.

"What is it?" Evan muttered quietly. "I wouldn't blame you if you wanted nothing to do with me after the last few votes."

"I...I want your help." Lina admitted. "I don't think I can trust anyone in my alliance anymore, so I need a new one."

"Do you have a tiki?" Evan asked, to which Lina shook her head.

"But...I do know who has the Maple Tiki, and what it does."

"Hm…" Evan mused over his options.

Confessional: Evan

"We're in the final 6. That's pretty far in. As much as I'd like to, I can't play this game alone, and I suppose, out of the remaining players, Lina has proven the least capable of deceit. I will give the players of this game one more chance. I will place my faith and trust with Lina and hope, hope that the good guys can actually prevail in the end."

End Confessional

"Very well then." Evan shook Lina's hand. "Alliance offer accepted. After what happened last ceremony though, I feel our main focus needs to be Katrina. She has zero chance of winning immunity since she and kevin are stuck in the Honeymoon Cabin until the next Po'ino Bonfire Ceremony, and it will leave Pierre without any shields."

"I agree." Zubin had finally found where Evan and Lina had been talking. "I'm afraid I don't understand the specifics of what you're talking about, I only heard from 'she and Kevin are stuck in the Honeymoon Cabin' but if the idea is to take out Katrina, that's a good plan."

"She can't play any immunity tiki can she?" Evan asked. "You're the group that would have seen that ceremony."

Confessional: Lina

"So, Zubin wasn't here for that elimination. If Kevin never told him, he might not know that Katrina doesn't have the Hell Tiki anymore...but that's a huge risk to take right now."

End Confessional

"It would certainly explain why she feels so comfortable being so bitchy all the time." Lina omitted her knowledge. "There's a distinct possibility she might play it tonight to save herself, but there's also the possibility that Pierre's found it."

"It would help explain his calm demeanor despite being cursed." Zubin nodded along. "I feel like he's the more likely holder."

"So we're all in agreement then?" Evan asked as he put a hand in the center of the small circle they'd created. "Vote Katrina?"

"Vote Katrina." Lina nodded as she put her hand in as well and looked up at Zubin.

"Alright, Vote Katrina." He nodded as well as he put his hand in.

Confessional: Zubin

"We now, should Evan be trustworthy for this vote, have enough to at least force a tie. Still though, last week was the second time in a row Evan's targeted Honua. I find the idea of bringing him in on one of our plans a tad too risky. Now might be the best time to play the Maple Tiki."

End Confessional

Location: Kokoke Island

Contestant(s): Pierre

Pierre silently stared at the Legacy Tiki with a giant grin.

"Now no one can steal you from me, from our island paradise, my precious Legacy Tiki that I've fought so hard to get…" He stroked the top of the tiki as though it was a pet dog.

"Now...back to the drawing board." He turned his head towards a bunch of strategic plans that he'd scribbled in the sand with a large stick.

"Now that my fair Julia has tasted blindside, I may want to consider a short and sweet revenge. After all, I've never needed nor desired Katrina as an ally, but perhaps that's too predictable of me, and I do have an audience to entertain...I suppose that means I'll be quite active during this next challenge. Above all else though, I need to win.

Confessional: Pierre

"The last elimination was a travesty, but there is comfort in knowing that there are fractures among even the fractures of the Honua alliance. I had momentarily wondered how I alone could convince Evan to take out a clear power trio, but if they have no trio, the power is far less threatening."

End Confessional

As Pierre continues to draw plans in the sand, he notices something and zeros in on Katrina and Kevin in the Honeymoon Cabin.

"Ahhh…" He nods. "Now I see….I like that idea, miss brainiac! Perhaps revenge can be served to you cold rather than hot. Truly, this is the greatest give you could have handed me!"

Confessional: Pierre

"Oh, how pleased Silivia will be to hear of what I've ascertuitted here in my solisome! Yes, a well placed lie of the ages! A banner yet stands atop this hill I see, and it fills me with pride and joy. Be prepared for a wonderful show, Audience at home!"

End Confessional

Location: Honeymoon Cabin

Contestant(s): Katrina, Kevin

"That elimination ceremony seems to have saved both of us at least for another round." Katrina spoke aloud, clearly not really caring whether Kevin was listening or not, though with little to no distractions, Kevin seemed almost bound to pay attention to her thoughts.

"And now that I have you here, alone, away from prying eyes, I can explain to you the next phase of this plan."

"I never agreed to a more than one step plan with you."
"Oh, but you owe me." Katrina seemed incredibly calm for a contestant who had no way of winning immunity. "And you're a fucking goody two-shoes, it's written all over your face. Your profession of love for your team, your goal of getting revenge on Pierre for what he did to your single digit IQ sailor girlfriend."
"Gal was smart." Kevin stood his ground. "I'm not going to let you bully me."

"Oh, I don't need to bully you to get you to help me. You will of your own accord. Much less energy is expended on my part, you see."

"What is it?" Kevin crossed his arms. "You might not be one anymore, but you still come from Ka Malu O. I'm not trusting you."

"Thank fucking goodness you aren't." Katrina rolled her eyes. "Because whether you like it or not, we need to stick together to make sure neither one of us goes home again at the next ceremony. Now, I think I've proven my willingness to get rid of Ka Malu O members. You must understand where this is heading next."

"I do...but I won't do that."

Katrina sighed.

"Then I suppose I should tell you that neither of your Honua 'allies' have your team at heart anymore. Julia, Pierre, and myself have been constantly sowing seeds of doubt in Lina, and she's been ready to pop for a while now. Your secrecy last week was just the push she needed."

"You told me to keep it secret!" Kevin exclaimed to an eye-rolling Katrina. "You...you tricked me!"

"I did no such thing. I persuaded you, because I was right." She responded. "Let's go over the evidence, shall we? Assume I didn't play the Love Tiki and just kept it for myself. Who goes home?"

"M...me…" Kevin admitted. "But I still don't feel comfortable voting off either of my Honua partners!"

"Are you really sure about that? Zubin's talked with me on his own on more than one occasion. Listen, you little twerp, I'm trying to extend an olive branch here and if you don't take it, it's you that goes home. I assume you would rather stay in though, right?"

"R-right…" Kevin mumbled with a nod.

"In that case, we're going to need to start at the beginning." Katrina motions for Kevin to sit on the bed in the cabin. "We both need to know everything the other one does if we want to see ourselves through to the Final 5."

"Okay, but I still don't want to vote a Honua."

"I sTiLL dOn'T wAnT tO VOtE a HOnUa!" Katrina mocked. "What an annoying fucking parrot you are."

Confessional: Katrina

"It's the final 6. I'm stuck in this shack. Kevin's stuck in this shack. He's my only source of information. I'm his only source of information. Logic dictates that we cooperate at least once more in order to push ourselves into the final 5. Once Kevin tells me everything I need to know about Honua, I'll be fully in control of this game, and I'll decide which of his Honua allies I'd rather slit the throat of now, and which one I'll slit the throat of later."

End Confessional

Confessional: Kevin

"It's the final 6. I did that play last week because of Evan's request, so hopefully I can start counting on him from now on. I also knew Julia was a big threat to Honua, but neither Zubin nor Lina would listen to me, plus Katrina said to keep our plan a secret. I know it was the right choice, but I don't know if going with Katrina is still the right choice. She says we're both vulnerable, but if Evan, Zubin, Lina, and I all vote for her, it doesn't matter. But can I still trust Lina or Zubin after what's happened? Will they still trust me?"

End Confessional

Location: Entertainment Bonfire Pit

Contestant(s): Evan, Lina, Pierre, Zubin

Evan, Lina, Pierre, and Zubin all gathered at the Entertainment Bonfire Pit so that Chris could announce the challenge.

"I'll be honest…" Chris shrugged. "Chef and I think that our bean bag challenge is kind of cursed, so we're canning it. Of course, now we needed a challenge to take its place this week, but none of our staff could come up with anything. Thankfully, we turned to the next best thing! Corporate espionage!"

"Excuse me?" Zubin rose a brow.

"I mean we kindly asked the devs over at Ridonculous Race for some ideas, and found quite a few gems for competitions! Any one of them would have made a good challenge for you four, so we've decided you'll get to do all of them!"

Confessional: Chris

"Well, all of the ones we thought were good enough. A few of them suuucked. Mixing spices? Really? This is why you leave production to the pros!"

End Confessional

"Alright, listen up, maggots!" Chef yelled through a megaphone. "The four y'all goin' head to head against each other in twelve challenges for immunity! Win the contest, get the point! If there's no clear winner at the end of all twelve challenges, none of y'all immune! Y'all'll be competin' 'gainst each other twice over! First up, Nature Boy and Quiet Girl!"

Challenge: The RidicuChris Rumble

Rules: Contestants compete against each other in a series of contests adapted from The Ridonculous Race. The winner of each competition receives a point. At the end of all twelve contests, whichever player has earned the most wins receives immunity. If there is no clear winner, no one receives immunity.

Evan VS Lina 1: Rickshaw Race Around The Island (First to finish gets a point)

"And...go!" Chris announced as Evan and Lina both took off hauling rickshaws across the beach. "First to reach us from the other side of that bridge is the winner!"

Confessional: Lina

"I'm...in a...rickshaw race...against Evan? How is that fair?"

End Confessional

Confessional: Evan

"I have no idea how to run with this infernal contraption behind me! Lina grew up among actual society, so she's got a better grasp on this thing than I do. I expect a lot of wipeouts on my end."

End Confessional

"Hunh….hunh…" Lina panted as she struggled to keep up with Evan, who in turn struggled to hold the rickshaw properly.

"It's like a wheelbarrow but...backwards somehow…" He grunted.

"Y-you'll get the hang of it!" Lina couldn't help but offer encouragement.

"Don't waste too much energy, we both still have five more challenges left each." Evan returned the advice. "By the way...are you sure about Katrina?"

"Excuse me?" Lina asked. "I don't follow."

"Well, she might be vulnerable sure…" Evan suggested. "But wouldn't it be better to knock Pierre out of the ring? I've been cursed before, and it's not fun, but it wasn't so bad. Plus it'd be a big play and leave Katrina all alone."

"I'm worried about what Zubin would say to that-"

"Who gives a shit what someone else would say? I want to know what you'd say!" Evan sounded exasperated as both he and Lina neared the halfway marker of their path.

Confessional: Lina

"O-...Ohhhhhhhh….I think I'm starting to see this for what it is. I may or may not be friends with my Honua alliance-mates, but as long as my own ideas go unheard, I'm less of a force and more of just a number, an extra vote, well no more Miss Nice Girl! Maybe I will take Evan up on his offer, but there's no way I'm going to ever let Zubin or Kevin catch on. Either way though, I'm done letting other people tell me how to play the game, and the only one who hasn't told me how to do something...is Evan."

End Confessional

Confessional: Evan

"Last week, Kevin did something I thought he wouldn't do. He got rid of Julia for me, even after how much of a jerk I've been. For that, I'm going to make it up to him. I'm bringing him and Lina with me to the final 3 so that we can have a finale we can be happy with! I checked my bags earlier this week and didn't find a Legacy Tiki, which probably means one of them has it, that way I can earn my place in the final two against either one of them. First though, we need to get rid of these pesky Ka Malu O remnants. Shouldn't be too hard now, because there's only two, and I'll bet my bottom dollar that the one who's fighting for immunity thinks we're asurred to vote for the other one.

End Confessional

"Look at them struggle, Zubin." Pierre stood beside the strategist. "One can only wonder what they're talking about."

"Look, I know you're trying to psych me out dude, your M.O. is super obvious by now."

"I suppose that's trurrect." Pierre nodded. "However, I don't think you quite comprehend the position you find yourself in."

"I'm in a pretty crummy one, dude, I think I comprehend it fairly well. Did you just open your mouth to gloat at me?"

"In a sense." Pierre smiled. "And in a sense not. You and your fractured alliance have victory within your grasp, even now. It only requires that the three of you all target me, the cursed player, should I not win immunity."

Confessional: Zubin

"I'm not an idiot. Pierre's trying to goad me into voting for him for some reason, but whatever it is, it can't be good."

End Confessional

"And here they come around the bend!" Chris announced as Evan and Lina pulled up to the Nui Kaua Bridge. "And our winner is….

Evan! Evan with one point! Lina, we'll give you a few minutes to recuperate, because you and Zubin are up next!"

Lina VS Zubin 1: Hang Glide Attempts Around The Island (Whichever camper comes closer to completion of their hang glide attempt will earn the point)

"So, did Pierre do anything weird while Evan and I were racing?" Lina asked as she and Zubin both ascended Mt. Immolate.

"Nothing more than sorry attempts to psych us all out" Zubin responded. "What about Evan? He still wants to vote Katrina right?"

"He was kind of busy struggling with his rickshaw, but it seems like it." Lina lied.

"Contestants, you ready?" Chris asked as both Lina and Zubin were led up to different hang gliders. "Go!"

The two took off when each felt a breeze worth riding, and began to soar through the sky.

Confessional: Lina

"Wow! When you're flying in daylight and can see the island from up there in all its tropical glory, the view is just so impressive! We're so lucky that we can compete in such a beautiful local, way better looking that Wawanakwa ever was."

End Confessional

Meanwhile, Pierre and Evan were the two hanging back from the challenge this time, so survivalist decided to kill time with a confrontation.

"You better hope you win immunity, Pierre, because if you don't, we're taking you out."

"Oh, I'm well aware of that little plan of yours." Pierre snickered. "But do you really think that's a wise idea?"

"Doesn't matter." Evan shook his head. "Kevin started this when he voted out Julia. Now I'm going to trust him and get rid of you. Then Katrina, and finally Zubin."
"Ah, yes the final 3 with the two Honualings." Pierre continued his snickering. "And since you must have the Legacy Tiki from Cassandra, you can obliterate them. What a cruel trick. You should be on Ka Malu O."

"That's not the strategy at all." Evan shook his head. "First of all, I don't have the Legacy Tiki. I don't know who does, but it isn't me, so it probably never will be me. Secondly, I can admit when I've acted irrationally and can try to mend my relationships with the others, as I am Ka Lani, which means I stick to my word, something you can't comprehend."

Confessional: Pierre

"Oh dear, it appears I've caressed Evan's nerves the wrong way." Pierre gives a shit-eating grin at the camera as though this is all part of something more."

End Confessional

Eventually, both Zubin and Lina had to land their hang gliders, and the lucky contestant who had managed to get farther was…

"Zubin wins!" Chris announced after measuring both distances. "You've got 5 minutes to celebrate before you have to go up against Pierre next, buddy!"

Confessional: Zubin

"I feel like this might be the first time I've gone head to head against Pierre in any challenge. I need to show him that we at Honua aren't about to fall into any trap he might be trying to set."

End Confessional

Zubin VS Pierre 1: Kayak race down Muliwai River, (Winner Gets The Point)

Two kayaks rushed down the Muliwai River as Zubin and Pierre vied for victory over the other one. As the first major turn of the river came up, Pierre rocked his boat towards Zubin's causing the two to collide for a moment just long enough to plant Silivia in Zubin's lap.

"You think your snake is enough to scare me?" Zubin almost laughed as he began to catch up with Pierre.

"It's true, she's been trained to not bite people, as I'm not some monster." Pierre admitted. "But you must in turn be uncomfortable with her slithering around everywhere! Allowing me to take the lead and leave you in the dust!"

"Oh we'll see about that!"

Zubin grinned as he began to easily catch up to Pierre.

Confessional: Zubin

"Now, I do enjoy kayaking, so I certainly know how to maneuver in one, but never did I think that it'd be just thrown in here as a one-off mini challenge for me to win."

End Confessional

"And now I have to return something to you!" Zubin announced as he tossed Silivia back into Pierre's kayak before taking the lead after a retaliation knock of his own.

"And it's Zubin coming around the bend for the victory!" Chris announced as Zubin crossed the finish line first. "Our standings so far are Lina and Pierre tied at 0, Evan at 1, and Zubin in the lead with 2! This is still anybody's challenge! Speaking of...Evan get on up here for your first match against Pierre!"

Evan grinned and looked over at Pierre.

"Gladly."

Confessional: Evan

"Time to take that snake down another peg!"

End Confessional

Pierre VS Evan 1: Nui Kaua Traditional Feast, (First to Finish or Last to Drink Water Gets The Point)

Pierre and Evan looked over a feast full of food that neither of them could recognize, but none of it looked inedible. Some of it even looked quite delicious.

"What's the deal here, McLean?" Evan asked, confused.

"This is a special Nui Kaua Traditional Feast!" Chris announced. "While the seafood of Nui Kaua was known to be absolutely disgusting, their land-based meat and vegetation were often cooked into dishes befitting royalty! There's just one problem. They're su-hoo-per spicy! As you can see, we've given each of you some water in your own personal jugs! You're not allowed to drink it! Think you can speed eat your food without reaching for water?"

Confessional: Evan

"Ah, I've heard about some restaurants having challenges like these. I think if you won those you didn't have to pay for the meal. Might as well just hand me the point now."

End Confessional

As Chris began the challenge, Evan was shocked to see that Pierre was holding his own rather well.

Confessional: Pierre

"What? You thought I would crumble so easily? Of course not. I exist to give you a good show, not a one-sided challenge."

End Confessional

Both contestants continued to gorge on the food, and as Zubin and Lina looked on they could see faces going red and sweat starting to pour.

"This...is both grossing me out and making me hungry…" Lina admitted.

"Yeah, same here…" Zubin agreed.

Finally, however, Pierre tapped out by grabbing the jug of water and downing it just as Evan managed to finish the food that had been prepared for him.

Noticing his victory, Evan quickly took the water as well and began to down it.

"It was a close call, but Evan is our winner for this challenge!" Chris announced. "We'll give him some time to recover before his match with Zubin."

Confessional: Pierre

"So it's Evan and Zubin up next, then? Good. Finally I can talk to the quiet girl and sow the seeds I need in order to come out of this mess Katrina has created on top of everything."

End Confessional

Evan VS Zubin 1: Bumper Boat Challenge, (Last Man Standing In Arena Gets The Point)

Both Evan and Zubin were having what appeared to be a blast as they rammed into each other with bumper boats trying to push the other one out of the small water arena at the docks.

As they continued butting bows, Pierre put a hand on Lina's shoulder.

"Now's probably your last chance, you know." Pierre cautioned her. "To make a grand play. Take it from someone like me, they work wonders for you."
"Katrina has no way to avoid going home." Lina rolled her eyes. "It's such an easy decision to make for Honua to-"
"There you go again, bringing up your team. This isn't a team game anymore, Lina. It's individual. Cooperation will not get you the win, but coordination will. You know you want to cast that vote. You know you want to prove that you can think for yourself. Why don't you? Are you really so content on placing third?"

Confessional: Lina

"Ugh, why did Pierre have to go and talk to me now? I thought all this sneaking and plotting was over with since we have 3 Honua and Evan all agreeing to take out Katrina in the final 6! Then Honua still has the Maple Tiki to play for the final five…"

End Confessional

"I'll cast that vote sure…" Lina thought up a deal on the spot. "So long as your vote goes to Katrina."

Confessional: Pierre

"Clever girl, Lina. If you can't vote for Katrina, you might as well make sure my vote replaces the one you lost. Unfortunately, you aren't quite clever enough."

End Confessional

"It's a deal then." Pierre smiled.

Meanwhile, back in the actual challenge, both Evan's and Zubin's boats had sustained serious damage, but neither of them had been forced out of the ring yet.

The vessels continued to collided, until finally, one push was powerful enough to send a boat just barely out of bounds.

"And our winner is…

… Zubin!" Chris announced. "Now for the two of you to get some rest while we bury Lina and Pierre alive and see who lasts longer!"

Lina VS Pierre 1: Buried Alive Challenge, (Whoever Lasts Longer Gets The Point)

Evan and Zubin stood on the beach while Lina and Pierre were lowered underground in glass coffins.

"Evan...did you and Lina discuss voting while you were in the challenge together, or while I was in my challenge with Pierre?" Zubin couldn't help but ask.

Evan gave him an inquisitive look.

"A little." He responded honestly. "Which reminds me, I owe your team as a whole an apology. You've just been playing this game the same as me, so to make it up to you, I'll let you in on a secret...I still have The Heaven Tiki in my posession."

"I see…" Zubin nodded.

Confessional: Evan

"Dammit, I wanted to see more of a reaction from you man, if I can't get a read on you, I won't be able to trust you!"

End Confessional

Confessional: Zubin

"I can't tell whether or not Evan is telling the truth, and his previous actions don't lend him any further trust from me, so until I can confirm his claim one way or the other, I'd rather not show my own hand."

End Confessional

"If you have The Heaven Tiki, why did you not play it yesterday? That could have been you going home, you know."

"Are you implying you didn't need me as a swing vote in the scenario that it was Julia standing here instead of me?" Evan's eyes narrowed further. "Your whole team is full of secrets, but there aren't many places to hide secrets anymore, now that we're so close to the end."

"Trust is a two way street, Evan." Zubin retaliated. "If you would ask that I trust you after twice voting for my friends, you have to show me bona fide proof that I can."

Evan sighed as he took out The Heaven Tiki from his pocket.

"Here. It's my only tiki so I keep it on me at all times. I'm only showing you now because that snake Pierre is six feet under at the moment."

As Zubin began inspecting the tiki, Evan quickly retracted his hand back into his pocket, and pointed.

Zubin turned to look and noticed the same thing.

"Pierre's being dug up. Guess he tapped out first."

"Lina wins the buried alive challenge!" Chris announced. "The score is now Pierre at 0, Lina at 1, Evan at 2, and Zubin at 3! We're at the halfway point. You better get some wins now if you want to even have a shot at immunity!"

Evan VS Lina 2: Crystal Ball Retrieval Swim (First Back Gets The Point)

Evan and Lina both swam out into Lake Nui Kaua, Evan with the clear lead, as they headed towards the drop zone where Chris had placed two crystal balls made for an upcoming season of the show.

As they reached the drop zone, Evan's lead slowly began to disappear as he had trouble finding a crystal ball to bring back to Chris, and soon he and Lina were in a dead heat.

Then, Lina surfaced with a crystal ball and began to head back.

Evan looked frantically for one of his own but just couldn't seem to find one.

Lina was nearing the halfway mark, he'd have to call on all his adrenaline to come out on top.

He dove down one more time…

And found one! He quickly began to make his way back as well, as fast as his legs and arms could carry him, gaining on Lina with every stroke.

Eventually a contestant reached Chris at the docks.

"Congratulations to our winner…

… Lina!" Chris announced. "Tying up her score and Evan's both at 2! Can she continue this winning trend and defeat Zubin?"

Lina VS Zubin 2: Nui Kaua Beetle Hunt (First To Ten Gets The Point)

Both Lina and Zubin scoured the forest for ten specimens of the extremely rare Nui Kaua beetle.

Lina found her first specimen.

Zubin found his first.

Zubin found his second.

Lina found her second.

Zubin found his third.

Zubin found his fourth.

Lina found her third.

Zubin found his fifth.

Lina found her fourth.

Lina found her fifth.

Zubin found his sixth.

Lina found her sixth.

Lina found her seventh.

Zubin found his seventh.

Zubin fond his eighth.

Lina found her eighth.

Lina found her ninth.

Zubin found his ninth.

And finally...one of the contestant's found their tenth specimen…

"Our winner is…

… Lina!" Chris announced once again. "She ties up both her and Zubin's scores, but will it last? Zubin has a chance to pull ahead against Pierre!"

Zubin VS Pierre 2: Find Treasure On Kahakai Beach (First To Turn Up Treasure With Their Metal Detector Gets The Point)

Almost immediately this challenge was over as Pierre dug up the buried treasure.

"What the actual heck?"
"Maybe next time don't use glass coffins when you bury someone alive, Chris." Pierre laughed aloud.

Confessional: Pierre

"What luck I had to be put in the treasure seeking challenge when I had a great view of it from my glass coffin! It was hidden a bit of course, but I recognize wood when I see wood, and sure enough, the detector went off."

End Confessional

Pierre VS Evan 2: Cross Mt. Immolate In Some Form Of Dangerous Fashion (First Across Gets The Point)

There were four paths across Mt. Immolate that Pierre and Evan were allowed to take.

The first path was a rickety wooden bridge that appeared as though it would fall apart at any minute. The second path was the bungee cord from the previous season. Without a harness, one had to bungee down and launch themselves across. The third path was a more straightforward zipline, though it also had no harness. Finally, there was a treacherous natural walkway somewhat inside the crater, which was prone to constant rockslides.

Evan, being the survivalist that he was, chose the fourth option and began to race across.

Pierre, however, being whimsical at heart, chose to bungee.

Confessional: Evan

"Pierre, you chose to bungee jump across? With no harness? You mad lad…"

End Confessional

But Pierre's risk paid in dividends as he landed safely on the landing mattress on the other side, far before Evan had finished his own trek across, graning Pierre his second victory in this challenge.

Evan VS Zubin 2: Nui Kaua Panther Selfie (First Back With Photo Evidence Gets The Point)

"We have to what?" Zubin asked, confused as Evan had already run off into the forest.

"Find the Nui Kaua panther, and take a rad selfie with it, man!" Chris tried his best to imitate the type of person who would say that, though he didn't quite succeed.

Confessional: Lina

"Are we talking about the same panther that terrorized The Screaming Winds last season? Because I don't think I want to take a selfie with anything like that…"

End Confessional

Zubin was displeased to hear that Chris was serious, but rushed off into the forest after Evan.

Eventually he caught up to the survivalist and the two of them closed in on a tree where they believed the panther to be enjoying a daytime nap.

"All we have to do is climb up and take a picture, right?" Zubin asked. "How hard can that be?"

Confessional: Zubin

"As it turns out...extremely."

End Confessional

What follows is a montage of Zubin and Evan taking turns attempting to climb the tree, only to either break a branch and fall, or get startled by the panther moving in its sleep and fall.

Eventually though, both contestants managed to take a selfie with the sleeping panther, and competed in a footrace back to the the finish line.

"Before we leave the forest, Evan, I'll tell you about why we wouldn't need your swing vote." Zubin decided. "It's because I have the Maple Tiki. When I play it, only Honua votes will count." Still not trusting Evan completely, Zubin took out his fake tiki and showed it to Evan. "I can afford to not take risks if I don't have to with that tiki."

"Dang, that's a sick power!" Evan grinned. "Now then, let's continue this race!"

"Right!" Zubin nodded.

"It's neck and neck!" Chris announced as the contestants ran out of the forest and towards the goal. "And our winner is…

… Evan! The scores are Zubin, Evan, and Lina all tied at 3, and Pierre at 2! It all comes down to this final showdown between Lina and Pierre! Can Lina win immunity, or is Pierre going to make sure no one is safe tonight? It's time to begin our final challenge...the Dance Mirror Challenge!"

Lina frowned.

Pierre's smile grew wide.

Lina VS Pierre 2: Dance Mirror Challenge (Last One Standing Gets The Point)

As Chef danced to a rhythm that neither contestant was familiar to, both Pierre and Lina were forced to follow his moves as exactly as they possibly could. In the beginning the moves were simple to mimic, but as the seconds turned to minutes each move began to get more and more complex.

Lina was holding her own remarkably well against Pierre, and the both of them seemed just about evenly matched, perhaps even more prepared for the challenge than Chef was.

The only way either of them was going to lose was a cramp causing them pain.

Both Zubin and Evan had their eyes glued on the dancers.

Either one of them could give out at any moment.

Then, finally,

One fell, and one remained standing.

"Ladies and gentlemen…" Chris began to announce. "The winner of our Dance Mirror Challenge is…

… Pierre!" He held up Pierre's hand as Lina rubbed her cramped ankle. "With that, the score is 3 all across the board, so it looks like nobody is safe tonight! Won't our Honeymoon Cabin contenders be so happy to hear that?"

Confessional: Zubin

"Thanks for reminding me to worry about that, Chris. Kevin went behind both my and Lina's backs to vote alongside Katrina of all people and he's just spend so much more time with her in that cabin. What could he possibly be thinking?"

End Confessional

Location: Merge Cabin

Contestant(s): Evan, Lina

"Getting packed, too, huh?" Lina asked as she noticed Evan packing his things.

"It's that point in the game." Evan shrugged. "No one is safe tonight, which means we're all in danger."

Confessional: Evan

"I could play my Heaven Tiki, but I don't know about that. I want to save it for when I'm positive I'll need it. Right now, thankfully, I'm not seen as some big threat the way Pierre, Katrina, Zubin, and Kevin are all looking right now."

End Confessional

"Hey Evan…" Lina closed the door behind her. "I was wondering...who are you planning to vote for tonight, really?"

"Katrina, of course. That's what you decided upon, right?"

"Are you sure you aren't actually thinking of voting for Zubin?"

Evan stopped packing.

"That's a name I was hoping I'd hear from you, but didn't expect." Evan smiled. "Maybe I will, but only after I deal with a Ka Malu O."

Confessional: Evan

"I don't know where that fucking snake of his is, but Pierre's got ears everywhere but here, so I'm voting for that assmunch. I bet Katrina and Kevin will too. Then, ideally, it's Zubin, Katrina, and Lina, leaving Kevin and I in the finale. I can at least respect him."

End Confessional

Location: Merge Cabin (Exterior)

Contestant(s): Lina, Zubin

As Lina emerged from the forest after doing some business, she noticed Zubin heading out to do business of his own. "It's still Katrina right?" Lina asked, a little worried.

"For now...though it may change to Evan." Zubin responded. "He pressured me into telling him about the Maple Tiki, and I know for a fact that he has the Heaven Tiki in his pocket. He showed it to me. That makes him incredibly dangerous this late in the game. We might not have another chance to get rid of him."

"But we also have Katrina in our laps right now." Lina brought up.

"Yeah, it's getting hard to make calls when so many things can go wrong." Zubin agreed. "I'm just not sure I want to bring an outsider into our alliance, especially when we have no idea what's going on inside Kevin's head…"

"Kevin will make the right choice, I think." Lina decided.

"I'm not sure having a Ka Lani wildcard running around is a good thing." Zubin continued. "It's much easier to make plans when there are only two sides…"

Confessional: Lina

"Well, yes it would be easier if there were only two sides, but there aren't two. There aren't even three or four sides. Right now, Zubin, there are six different sides."

End Confessional

Location: Merge Cabin

Contestant(s): Evan, Zubin

Evan noticed Zubin packing as well. "Hey man, I wanted to talk to you about something...do you really trust Lina?"

"Do I trust Lina…" Zubin repeated the words to himself. "Well, she has voted for me before, so that's worrisome, but she was loyal for the last vote, so if she wanted to get rid of me, it hasn't shown through in her actions.

"I'm just saying, dude." Evan continued. "Kevin went against the two of you, and from what I could tell, you're really close with him. Is it too much of a stretch to think Lina might do the same thing?"

"I'll be honest, Evan…" Zubin turned to look at him. "All this conversation is doing is distracting us from our common aim of getting rid of Katrina. We can have this talk later, in the final five."

"I suppose so…" Evan tapped the wall of the room as he left. "Just give it some thought, alright?"

Confessional: Zubin

"All you've managed to accomplish by riling me up, Evan, is taking away what little trust I had in you. I don't know exactly what you're plotting, but I do have the power to stop you in your tracks."

End Confessional

Location: Honeymoon Cabin

Contestant(s): Katrina, Kevin

"Are you absolutely sure I have to do this?" Kevin asked Katrina who once again nodded her head.

"I'm voting for mine, you're voting for yours. We'll let the others determine who it is they want gone more."

"But...I'm pretty sure three of them will vote for you…" Kevin explained.

"Oh, I don't think there's need to worry about that." Katrina shook her head. "If forgoing this challenge cost me my game, I wouldn't have saved you when I had the chance."

Confessional: Kevin

"Katrina is really good at predicting people's plays. I won't have much time at elimination so I'll try to tell Zubin what I can. Hopefully he'll trust us."

End Confessional

Confessional: Katrina

"I have to give kudos to Kevin for being intelligent enough to realize I'm a valuable ally rather than just some number, but he better realize that once we're back in the Merge Cabin, I no longer will voluntarily support him. He'll have to play my game just like everyone else."

End Confessional

Location: Po'ino Bonfire Elimination Ceremony

Contestant(s): All Remaining

"Welcome, Final 6…" Chris announced as Chef brought in Katrina, Kevin, and Pierre to join Evan, Lina, and Zubin at the bonfire. "Katrina, Kevin, you'll be interested to know that no one managed to win immunity during the challenge, so everyone is fair game to be voted for. Katrina, how does that make you feel?"

"Indifferent, Chris." Katrina rolled her eyes. "Kevin and I have been stuck in Honeymoon all week, and I can only spend so much of that time reading. The rest of the time it's paranoia about what's going on out here. Sure, I can vote for whoever I want, but that doesn't replace the lost time."

"Kevin, anything to add?" Chris asked with a grin.

"I agree." Kevin answered. "I don't know what Lina or Zubin has done since last week. I just hope that they don't vote me out."
"Evan…" Chris turned to the survivalist. "There are three Honua here, and two Ka Malu O. What's it like being the only surviving member of your team?"

"Freaking scary, Chris!" Evan laughed, and encouraged some laughs from the other contestants as well. "I could be gone at any time, so it's nerve-wracking that I couldn't just win one more mini challenge for immunity this week…"

"Well, there's always the possibility that he's holding the Heaven Tiki, Chris." Lina stated. "It gives him some wiggle room in terms of stayability. Unlike Kevin over there who played the Earth Tiki right when he found it!"

"And it was a good call." Katrina responded. "He's still here now, and that Kaleaf person is at Playa de Losers where he belongs."

"Don't insult him like you know what he's going through!" Lina stood up.

"Zubin…" Kevin took this opportunity to lean in towards Zubin.

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry...Katrina's making me...just...just trust her."

"Trust Katrina? Kevin are you out of your mind?"

"Well…" Kevin clearly winced. "I guess it's your choice…"

"Alright, alright, settle down everyone!" Chris quelled the commotion as Pierre laughed from his seat in the corner near the voting jar.

Confessional: Pierre

"Oh the chaos! The beautiful chaos!"

End Confessional

"Well now...I believe...if there are no further things to be said, it's time to vote!" Chris decided. "Lina, you're up first."

Lina slowly walked up to the voting platform, and wrote down a name.

"I'm sorry...but it's time for you to go."

As she came back, Katrina was sent up. She wrote down a name as well, silently, and promptly walked back. She yawned and relaxed in her seat.

Kevin was up next. As he got up to vote, her exchanged a stare and a nod with Evan, who seemed to understand and nodded back at him.

He wrote down a name, and returned to his seat.

Both Zubin and Lina looked at Kevin to try and determine who he voted for, but he averted his eyes from either of them.

Evan was up next. He wrote a name down without any hesitation.

"Finally, it's time to teach you a lesson about teamwork!"

As he came back, Zubin was sent up.

Zubin looked at the paper in front of him.

He hesitated, and finally, he wrote down a name.

"I hope I'm right about this…" He mumbled to himself before heading back to sit down.

"And finally...Pierre...I'm sure you're dying to cast your vote." Chris smiled.

Pierre, relieved to be able to speak, even if only one word, stood up, placed his foot on his seat, and pointed dramatically.

"Katriiiiinaaaaa!" He bowed before sitting back down.

Katrina grunted. Most of the other contestants, however, looked incredibly confused.

"You realize she's your only teammate, right?" Lina asked Pierre, who didn't respond, but pointed to his mouth and to Chris.

"It looks like you haven't learned yet either." Katrina sighed before glaring at Lina. "You're trying my patience. Chris, tally the votes."

"Hey! I'll say when I tally the votes, 'k?" Chris pouted.

A few seconds passed. "I'll go tally the votes."

After a few more seconds, Chris came back. "Alright...the votes have been tallied. If anyone has a Twist Tiki and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so."

Kevin looked around.

Katrina yawned as she took out a new book to read.

Pierre grinned as he scanned the others.

Zubin reached into his pocket, just in case.

Evan did the same, just in case.

Lina bit the nail of her thumb as she looked on.

As Chris inhaled, he was interrupted.

"Chris." Zubin stood up.

Lina's and Kevin's eyes widened. Pierre grinned as he began to stroke his chin in a thinking manner. Evan rose a brow with a frown.

He handed Chris the Maple Tiki. "This is the Maple Tiki. Only votes cast by the Honua contestants will count when I play it."

He turned to face Katrina. "I don't know what you said to Kevin in that cabin, and I don't want to know, but I'm not about to play your game. Your hubris got the better of you."

Katrina continued reading her book.

"Katrina?" Chris questioned.

"I'm reading my book, you should read the votes…" Katrina responded. "If I have to leave, at least let me leave the way I want."

"Very well then…" Chris grinned. "This is in fact the Maple Tiki. Only votes cast by Lina, Kevin, and Zubin count, so Pierre, congrats on that Curse Tiki vote override."

Pierre jokingly put his hands to his heart as though this whole thing was an act of charity for his sake.

"Of course, Pierre's vote for Katrina no longer counts. Next, we have a vote for Pierre, doesn't count.

That's two total votes for Pierre that don't count, and one vote for Katrina that doesn't count.

Now we have a vote for...Katrina again. This one does count.

Our next vote is...for Zubin."

"What?" Zubin asked.

"I tried to warn you!" Kevin stood up "I'm sorry…"

"We can talk about it later, I suppose." Zubin sighed.

"Our next vote is for...Pierre!" Chris announced. "Unfortunately, it doesn't count.

That's three votes Pierre and one vote Katrina that don't count,

One counting vote Katrina.

One vote Zubin.

One vote left."

All the contestants looked on as Chris pulled the final vote out of the jar.

"This last vote is for…

Placing 6th, on Total Drama Nui Kaua…

… Zubin."

There were many thoughts going through Zubin's head at that moment, but only one word surfaced, and it wasn't even from his mouth.

"Why?..." Kevin asked. "Why did you play that tiki?"

"Dammit!" Evan stomped on the ground. "We were so close, so close to getting rid of Pierre, but you had to be too paranoid to just let it happen, man!"

"Zubin." Katrina paused her book and stood up. "I won't criticize the choice you made, to attempt to play the game your own, perhaps more honest way, than mine, but you're going up against someone with an IQ of 187. Do you really think that I wasn't prepared for your bullshit tiki play? Ideally, Pierre would be going home right now, but a week ago, you refused to play my game as well, and now here we are. I gave you one last chance, and you blew it, so I designed the vote to send you home in the most humiliating way I can think of. Voted out by your own teammates. Granted, Kevin was an unwilling vote, and he did at least try to warn you, but Lina was in the works since the Merge, and it looks like my prediction was accurate. The fruit of the seeds I sowed in her blossomed at this perfect moment. You had a good plan, Zubin, but since Day 1, I've always been ten steps ahead."

"Well then…" Zubin took out his fake tiki. "I suppose it's only fair that I hand this, The Legacy Tiki, over to you."

Pierre's eyes lit up, but he couldn't say anything.

"I appreciate this." Katrina nodded. "I don't need it, of course, but I appreciate it."

Confessional: Evan

"Clay has shown me what the Legacy Tiki looks like, and it does not look like that. So even if Zubin does have it, he hasn't willed it to Katrina, who doesn't know what the tiki looks like."

End Confessional

"Well, Zubin, I guess it's time for you to go."

"I suppose it is." Zubin nodded. "Kev, I'm rooting for you, alright, buddy?"

"I'm...I'm sorry…" Kevin mumbled.

"Hey, it's fine, bud. This was my error to make, Sorry I ruined your Pierre busting operation. But hey, he has nowhere to hide now. You can get him!"

Zubin then turned to Lina.

"Zubin, I-"

"I get it." Zubin nodded. "Trust isn't something easily won back after it's been broken, and while I did try, this is a stressful competition, and I probably didn't try hard enough. Let's see you and Kevin in the finale, alright?"

And with having said his piece, Zubin took the Hang Glide of Shame off of the island.

"Congratulations to our Final 5!" Chris announced. "Evan, Katrina, Kevin, Lina, Pierre! You've made it extremely far in this competition and you all should be proud. I recommend getting plenty of rest, because your next challenge is going to be your most important one yet!"

"Do you understand it yet, Lina?" Katrina asked as the five of them walked back down the mountain. "Pierre understands it. I'm not playing this game for teamsies. I'm playing for me."

"That's a wrap on Episode 17!" Chris announced to the camera under a full moon. "With only 5 remaining, who will push on through to the final four? Find out next time, right here!

On Total!

Drama!

Nui Kaua!"

*Zubin's Final Confessional:

"Overall, I'm super proud of the way I played this game. I was smart, I was friendly to my teammates, and I opposed the clearly villainous characters like Pierre and Katrina to the very end. I made a few decisions I probably shouldn't have made along the way, but nobody can play a perfect game. Man, it sucks knowing that it was my own paranoia that put me here instead of Pierre, but I know I played a good game, and maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to play an even better one in the future."

End Confessional*
