The last thing I remembered after being dragged into unconsiousness was the sharp pain
that seemed to burn thoughout my entire body. It almost felt like someone was stabbing me on
every inch of my body. I knew that Derik was there and I could even hear him talking to Edward
about how seeing me like this was killing him.
The fact that I was hurting him would have killed me if I wasn't already dying. I also
thought about my precious new born daughter and how Aro had the potential of getting past the
Cullen's and Derik. It scared me more than anything not to be able to protect her; not to be near
her. I just wished that I could somehow speed this process up and come out of my death induced
coma.
I could feel the changes in my body almost immediately. I felt like I was a computer being
outfited in all new technology. I could even hear my heart begin to slow more and more as the
minutes slowly passed. I had no idea why but it seemed as if this process was going all too fast.
I knew that something different was happening to me. I knew that something was different about my transformation. As I was thinking about this, I saw something in my mind. It was the
strangest thing I had ever seen though. It was almost like a premoniton but so much stronger. I saw Aro and I saw him coming over by my baby. I saw Izzy look at him with intense fear laced
in her beautiful blue eyes.
I began to scream at Aro. I began to scream for my daughter. I wanted everyone to know
that he was here. I wanted them to know that they needed to do something before it was too late. I
continued to scream, trying to will my body to lift itself from my bed.
DPOV
It was the strangest thing I had ever seen. It was almost as if Amy knew that Aro was
there before any of us did. I didn't know if it was just natrual instinct or something more. None
the less Aro was standing right before us looking directly at my beautiful new daughter.
"Ah," he sneered. "I see the transformation is well on it's way. Good job Carlisle. I think
Amy will be a fine addition to our world."
"What are you doing here you snake," I growled. Edward kept his hand on my shoulder
as if to restrain me.
"Aro what are you doing here," Carlisle said stepping in front of me. "It's vital that Amy not be disturbed during this crucial time."
"I just wanted to make sure that you kept good on your word," Aro retorted. "I mean after my last visit I didn't know if I could trust you Derik. I mean this is the love of your life supposedly
I didn't know if you would let her join us."
"Well as you can see she did go through with it," Edward barked. "So if you will please
kindly exit."
"Why such the hurry my young boy," Aro said. "We have all the time in existance. Besides
I have not had the great pleasure of meeting the newest additon to your family."
"No," Amy shouted at the top of her lungs. "Don't go near her you bastard!" It was
incredible. Though she was still laying down she was still so aware of her surroundings. It also looked as if she would rise at any given moment now. "Get Izzy away from him now!" With that
Edward swept Izzy up into his arms away from Bella.
"Aro," Edward yelled. "I asked you nicely now I'm going to have to take a stand. Get out of her, and get out of here now. If you ever come near my niece again I will kill you."
"Is that a threat Edward," Aro said with a smirk on his face. "You see I may be alone but if
you do attack me you and your family will surely die. I can promise you that."
"You can make all the threats you want," I added. "But Edward is right. If you come within a mere mile of my daughter I will kill you personally."
"You really shouldn't have said that," Aro said before blasting both Edward and I hard
enough to send our stone body's flying. "Now you will die."
I could feel my entire body ache from the rough blow. I could also see that Edward was
feeling it just as much as I was. I could see the rest of the Cullen men gathering around to join
the attack. Emmett, Jasper, and Carlisle lined up to face Aro. We all knew that we would probably
die but, we had to at least try. Bella, Alice, Rosalie, and Esme looked absolutaly terrified. They
knew just as well as we did about what was going to happen. I could see how much pain it was
causing them to see the men they loved in danger. I knew that even they would try to contribute
and fight till their demise.
"Come on you cowards," Aro seethed. "The sooner I kill you the sooner I can claim Amy
as my own. She is after all very beautiful, I might as well bring her to the Voultri with me. What
do you think of that Derik?" With that I lunged at him with as much force as I had. I knocked him
into a wall of ice causing the wall to collapse on top of him. But instead of being harmed Aro came
out with as much of a vengance as ever. He knocked me down with more force once again and
also lunged at Emmett and Jasper.
"No," Amy yelled once again. Only this time instead of just lying there she rose. But I
didn't know how that could have been possible. She had only been in her transformation period for two hours, if even. "Stay the hell away from my family Aro. If you want to deal with anyone how
about you deal with me?"
