I don't own Twisted. Sorry it has taken me forever to update. Please review when you are done reading.
(Authors note: In time with her heart beat)
"Oh no….ohno….ohno….ohno..ohno..ohno.. . ." The words escaped my mouth without a thought. My silent sobs left a wetness that later astonished me.
Now however I was back there. In that body frozen still with nothing but darkness and an itch to move that was becoming unbearable.
In the dark I felt his touch like the tears. Faint but there…faint but presence…faint but real. Archie wasn't dead; no he was trapped like she was. Confined in a mirror and forgotten like sun when the first snow falls.
Remembering the forgotten her; Regina Crane, Queen C and boss of every student that walked through the doors of Sleepy Hollow High. They forgot her but she wouldn't forget Archie.
Even if she had to trade her soul she would keep her promise.
Third person
From a distance Vikram could smell the body his sister possessed, but he knew his sister had already passed on. Figured the cause was the proximity of the ghost and its body.
At the moment he had to give Death back his skull so that he may return to hell. As alpha of these lands it was his responsibility to keep his pack safe. And losing his only barging chip to save his son was the only way to do that.
Regina snapped out of whatever trace that held her an absolute look in her eyes. The look only held by mothers and convicts on death row. Vikram realized he would have to watch her as he ran to gift the horseman with his head.
Kyle would be no match for him but he wasn't sure what the girl was capable of. However the distance wasn't far he could make it there with little to no problems.
All of this killing would end now.
Lacey
Peace, calm, neutral. All of these things spun in my head as I stood in a bright place. There were no shadows, figures or anyone else with me. Nothing say for the bright blinding light. It engulfs me leaving a numb feeling in its wake.
This place wasn't heaven and I wasn't being ripped apart so hell was out as well. It had to be a place in between. Like where Danny must have been when he was little waiting for her to come for him just as she was now waiting.
On the break of madness she heard a voice. The voice was deep but she spoke quickly. However as she spoke her last syllables would linger. Drawing out the meaning as her words reached Lacey's ears.
"Lacey"
The sudden sound hurt more than she imaged scared her more than she'd ever admit.
"Lacey"
Though fear held her in place one fact remain clear. This could be the last person she talked to before she moved on. If they were strong enough to reach her here, where ever here was, then it could be in her best interest to reply.
"Do you want this to end?"
"What end?"
"The East Wind curse."
"What curse?"
"Do you want it to end?"
"I don't understand."
"I am sorry. I forgot they stopped telling the real story of the East Wind. I know they make you think it is an honor but I assure you. It is far from being a blessing. But that my dear is for another time."
"Ok I know you must be powerful to get to me here, but I am past confused. The East Wind picks a girl to hold the next generation's power until it can be released back into the earth."
"It seems I must explain now instead of later."
After hearing a faint sigh Lacey's body was shocked. A surged of energy was flowing through her as memories played behind her eyes. As the images faded into nothing Lacey finally understood what the voice was saying.
More importantly who the voice was, "Esther I understand what you are asking me. But what will happen to the other witches. Will they lose their magic?"
"No child they will not be as powerful as they would have been had the cycle been completed."
"So this is just a power game. That is why my mother needed me to live. It had nothing to do with keep power in our coven."
"I am sorry they lied to you child. In the end the choice is yours. You can be free of all this or not."
"You are asking me to give up my magic."
"Or give up Danny and any hope of a happy life."
"Why do I feel like you are asking me something more than just giving up my magic?"
"You are very wise Lacey but I must have your answer and soon. Events are playing out and without your answer I cannot stop them."
"So I don't have a choice."
"You always have a choice. Remember that."
"Will I live either way?"
"Yes"
"I…"
With Death and the others.
Vikram quickly ate up the distance between him and Death. Once before the rider Vikram threw the head and waited. In theory this all would end once the host body was complete. If not then they all were in for hell on earth.
With the reattachment of his head Death grabbed his sword preparing to kill again but stopped short of grabbing his weapon. The girl's body moved when he knew she was dead. Though her soul was still out of reach the heart stopped beating hours ago.
Giving the female his full attention Death prepared for this unknown enemy.
Esther
Ascending to the sky I looked down. Bodies lay everywhere as blood painted the ground. I closed my eyes as flashes of the pasted filled my mind. Now wasn't the time for this. I had to keep my promise to the girl.
It took a moment but her soul couldn't be mistaken "Esther"
"Death"
Finally grabbing his sword Death chucks it over his shoulder allowing the blade to cut into the skin. But he neither winced nor cried out. Looking up again he regarded the girl, "Have you finally come to send me back?"
"Yes but on one condition"
Upon hearing this he raised what was left of his eye brow. "I could continue killing. They're lives are just borrowed time to me."
"If you take my soul and power with you I will send you back."
Laughing he answered, "You will go to hell."
Furious with the rider and his games she raised her voice, "I will go to judgment."
"Then I will see you soon" was all he said with amusement in his voice.
However Esther wasn't a fool, just going with him deemed her soul to hell. He has to say to heaven and hell what he was agreeing to, "You know you must say it."
"I Death take the soul and power of Esther Wind to face judgment."
"I Esther Wind agree to the terms of descending Death to hell if he sends me to judgment"
"Come to me so that we may go."
Suddenly she remembers the girl's body she was possessing, "Wait this girl will not be harmed once you have returned."
The smile left his face at the reminder of why he was here. That girl started all of this and he would have her life as well as the boys, "She broke the law. I MUST HAVE PAYMENT."
"Call upon the soul of the woman who killed the boy all those years ago. If she had not use forbidden magic then this wouldn't have started."
At her words peace came back into his face, "A soul and a life"
"She is dead so you may take her soul."
"You always were a smart one Esther. I will take Tara's soul as payment. Now come this plain irritates me greatly."
Once I'd touched ground I looked over the wolf and his comrades.
"When the sun raises all will be as it should."
To say anymore would revival my plan to end all of this. Touching Death's hand I finally felt at peace.
Don't worry this isn't the end. I have a few more chapters before I end this one. And if you haven't guessed there will be a sequel for all of those who are still reading this story. Please Review so I know how I am doing. Until next time.
