"Damn!" Sabo sprang forward, with Heiji, Booker, and Richard soon following. Getting to a window, Sabo smashed it with his cane, and went in. The men followed him in, fighting the rushing water flooding the floors. It wouldn't be long before the entire structure emerged in water, they had to find neutral ground quickly. But as they made their way through the entryway of the aquarium, they found themselves in the middle of a bare-looking lobby. There seemed to be areas designated for a restaurant and gift shop spaces, but the only thing up were the tables and counter-tops.
"Damn it! We gotta get out of here! Where the hell's Kudo?!" Richard stressed as he saw the salt water flooding the floor. Sabo was also wondering this himself; if the top and middle floor areas were falling apart or flooding, what the chances of the bottom floors being any better? But the chances were Kudo and the Black Organization members were down there, for whatever reason, he was certain of it.
"Hey! There's a stairway! Let's go!" Heiji shouted several feet away at them, and was at the top of a stairway. He started to way down it, with Booker following close behind.
"Uh hello! Sinking building here! Why the hell would we want to go down?!" Richard pointed out, but followed along once Sabo passed him.
"Structurally speaking, the lower levels in a building like this are actually more secure because the control panels and generators would be located down there. The rest of the structure is nothing but a glass dome which would break if the sound waves were loud enough." Heiji explained. "Besides…these Black Organization bastards operate in the underground, they wouldn't want to be on the upper levels."
"Indeed." Booker couldn't agree more; his fist was ready to punch out the bastards who had taken his son.
"If that's the case, wouldn't we be seeing these Black Organization bastards evacuating the place?" Richard pointed out logically, begrudgingly noting that there was less water as they got lower on the floors.
Sabo, who got to the front of the line, stopped dead at the oblivious detective's words. "Speak of the devil."
The other men stopped too, and to their shock were about three people dressed in black running frantically up the stairs. One was a thin orange-haired woman with a scary face, a pale man in sunglasses and a hat, and- Richard and Heiji absolutely froze at who he saw. "Amuro-kun…"
The tan teen with blonde hair gave a friendly salute to the detective. "Yo sensei!"
Booker and Sabo looked between them in confusion, having never met the teen. Before they could ask, the man with glasses pulled out a pistol. "Move!" He and the orange-haired woman ran past the group, obviously heading towards the exit. "Chianti! Let's go!"
"Oi!" Heiji called after them.
"Don't worry about them; I'm show Starling-san will catch them." The teen smiled, and turned his attention to Booker and Kudo. "I am Amuro Tooru, but I am known as Bourbon in the Black Organization. I don't believe we've met, Sabo-san…Kudo Booker-san."
"You were…" Richard was speechless.
"It's not that surprising, Hattori-kun knew didn't you?" The tan blonde smirked.
The Osakan boy clenched his fists angrily. "Kudo asked me to keep an eye out, but my mouth shut."
Richard was furious. "You knew there was a Black Organization around me and my daughter, and didn't say anything?! Just when do these damned secrets end?!"
"Calm down sensei…it's not that surprising is it?" Bourbon teased. "Besides, I wasn't there for you or Ran-san, I wasn't even looking for Jimmy Kudo; I was there to find a defected member who needed to be brought in for some punishment.
Sabo frowned and immediately thought of Haibara. "I see. So what are your intentions now Bourbon-san?"
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to fight any of you, but I don't plan to stay here and drown. Gin-san's rather angry with Jimmy Kudo, he's about to give him a good whipping in the filtration center of this place. As for the others, I have no idea honestly. After the bomb went off, most the Black Organization members down here shot themselves thinking it was the end, while Vodka-san went to find Gin-san. As for Otohime-san and Tiger-san, well…it's an aquarium…they could be anywhere." Bourbon shrugged.
Richard bit his lip. "You guys go ahead, I'm arresting this bastard!" Richard ordered.
"Richard!" Booker turned to his friend. "You can't be serious!"
"This man broke the law and blatantly mocked me, and put my daughter at risk. I'm not letting this bastard get away!" Richard ran down the staris with his fist out.
Bourbon smirked, dodged the strike and punched the man right in the gut. The detective dropped to his knees and vomited slightly. "YOU!" Heiji yelled and went for his own attack. His and Bourbon's legs collided, but Bourbon used that to skid himself towards the stairs, which allowed him to bolt past the others to the top.
He turned around and gave a friendly salute. "I'll be leaving Japan after this day, but…if you are serious about saving Kudo, I'd recommend dropping all this petty law or order crap. This place is coming down, and the longer you stay in here, the more limited your options are gonna be."
Booker was about to retort, but was stopped by Sabo. He looked up at the teen carefully. "We understand, thank you for the information. Do you happen to know what room the filtration system is in exactly?"
"No, all I know it's in one of the unfinished parts of the factory, so good luck getting through that mess." Snorted Bourbon.
"Fine, then…we'll go." Sabo turned back towards the stairs, egging the others to follow. When he saw their reluctance, he sighed. "What's more important, your friend's life or catching some random criminal? The answer I would be be obvious for you, Booker-san."
Booker clenched his fists and turned his head towards the stairwell to indicate his compliance. Heiji didn't say anything, but did the same. Richard, who had managed to stand up, glared right up at his former protégé. "I'll find you. I'll arrest you, I'll make an example of you. You will not get away with what you've done."
Bourbon smirked. "Really? Cause at this rate, the most intelligence one among you is going to die to the hands of a deranged man. Let me put it this way sensei…if I had actually thought of you and Ran-san as threats…I would have killed you. Now get going…I don't want to lose an intelligent soul to stupidity like this."
Heiji pulled the older man forward and glared. "We get it, now get lost."
Bourbon smirked and waved at the group as they descended. "Good luck!"

Fisher Tiger was having a difficult time carrying a bunch unconscious fishmen bodies over his head, while running at the same time. He was still faster than Otohime, who has having trouble keeping pace due to her dirtier formal gowns, but he couldn't afford to carry her too. That explosion came out of nowhere, and he was just grateful that he heard the odd click in those generators soon enough, so he had the time to put distance between themselves nad the explosions. His back was slightly burned from shielding the female fishman, but he had taken far worse.
The aquarium was falling down all around them, and there was no sign of Kudo or those other strange humans in black anywhere. Eventually, they came across a construction site in the aquarium, but it looked as though a giant metal crate had been dropped, and about a dozen metal bars had been knocked over. Following the destruction, the two fishmen eventually made it up to the filtration system area, unknowingly walking into the former scene that their comrade had been in.
"Tiger-san…" Otohime covered her mouth with her hands, fear was gripping her. There was one of the humans dressed in black, he was a burly and huskier human than that 'Gin' person, and he was kneeling beside several blood stains on the floor. Yes…there were several large blood stains scattered throughout the level, some even by the ledge of the filtering water. The worst fears were slipping into the queen's mind, but there was almost nothing to confirm what happened.
Fisher Tiger frowned, and put Hody and his men down; the steroids side effects had knicked in, turning them into useless old men. But that wasn't what was concerning the fishman either; like Otohime, he was also staring in wide-eyed fear at the large blood stains scattered across the floor. They smelled fresh, not even an hour old, and some of the stains were too big to come from the child detective. But then again…he had seen how much humans could bleed at the Tenryubito palace…none of these stains would be a far cry from Kudo's body.
Noticing that the Black Organization man called 'Vodka', was too engrossed with collecting pieces of scrap metal it appeared. From what he could tell, it seemed to pieces of either a gun or some other similar machinery. Cautiously, Tiger called out to him. "Hey you!" The man's head snapped up at their direction. He stood stiffly and stared at the two fishmen neutrally. Seeing that he wasn't going to answer, Tiger continued. "What happened here?"
At this, the man chuckled. "You want to know what happened here? Aniki fucked up big time, that's what happened. He got too caught up in his revenge moment, and lost to Kudo the same way he did last time. It's not his fault though…going through the Gateway leaves your screws loose I guess."
"Is Kudo-kun alive?" Otohime spoke up.
"Who knows? I got here after the explosion hit. Can't believe the boss actually went through with it." Vodka sighed. "Honestly…if those low-levels had just waited for me and Bourbon to explain the exit procedure, they wouldn't have all shot themselves. You saw the dead bodies hanging off the rafters."
"How awful…" Otohime mumbled into her hands.
Tiger frowned. "Where is your colleague then?"
"Don't know either. By the time I got here, both Aniki and Kudo were gone; I've been picking up scrap metal for the last few minutes. Some of them are pieces from an Old Swiss Revolver we had for special occasions…others are pieces from Aniki's arm." Vodka shrugged, and continued what he was doing.
Tiger clenched his fists. "So do you have an idea of where they are?"
"Not a clue." Vodka shrugged, but stood up straight and began to walk towards the darkness of the area in front of them. "I will tell you this though…if Aniki has the kid's backpack…even I would pity the poor brat." With that, the large man left without saying another word.
"Hey wait! What do you mean by that?!" Tiger was about to go after him, but was stopped by unfamiliar calls in the floor below them.
"Jimmy?! Jimmy?!" An adult male voice called.
"Kudo! Kudo!" A younger-sounding male called.
"Kudo-brat! Come out already!" Another adult male called.
"Jimmy-san please! This place will be flooded soon! If you can hear us at all, let us know!" A fourth male called, but was younger than the last one.
Tiger and Otohime looked over the ledge and saw the four human males; two were adults, the others were teenagers. The humans were climbing up the falling metal beams, as they had previously. However, the blonde teenager with cane was jumping up the beams much quicker…similar to pace of Tiger's own. When the blonde reached them, they locked eyes for a moment, and just instantly knew.
"You're from the same world as me, aren't you?" Sabo asked quietly.
"Ah." Tiger held out his hand. "Fisher Tiger, former captain of the Sun Pirates."
The female fishman held out her hand. "I am Otohime, the wife of Neptune and queen of the fishmen. I understand you already met Hody-san." She gestured to the unconscious fishmen.
"Ah. Glad you were able to take care of them." Sabo acknowledged, but frowned when he observed the scene before him. "What happened here?"
"We-"
"Jimmy?!" The adult male with silverfish hair ran forward, looking around frantically for the detective. He dropped to his knees when he noticed the blood spatter. "Whose blood is this?"
Tiger frowned. "We're not sure."
"So Kudo's not here, huh?" The tan human male helped the last adult human male up over the ledge. The teen turned around and offered the fishmen a friendly shake. "Heiji Hattori, rival and better detective than Jimmy Kudo. From the way you're interacting with Sabo-san, we can only assume you're on our side."
"Yes. I am Fisher Tiger and this is Queen Otohime; we are fishmen." Tiger explained. "We were collaborating with Kudo until-"
"You got separated by this Hody Jones-guy right?" Richard nudged the unconscious fishman with this shoe. "Not so tough now that he's asleep."
"Don't bother them." Tiger frowned. Even with enemy fihsmen, any interaction between his kind and a human in that form still bothered him greatly.
"So do either of you know what happened to Kudo?" Sabo asked, breaking the tension.
"No. When we arrived, there was another one of those Black Organization humans, but he didn't know anything either." Otohime answered.
The humans tensed; Booker asked: "Where is he now?"
"He disappeared shortly before you all arrived." Tiger sighed. "He most likely went to look for his comrade, for…Gin-san also disappeared."
"So my son is alone with a deranged man, perfect." Booker ran a hand through his hair.
"More than that, if we don't find them soon…murder isn't going to matter. We'll drown at this rate I'm afraid." Heiji pointed out calmly.
"I doubt Gin-san will allow that to rob him of the chance to kill Jimmy." Booker growled.
"Wait! Didn't that man say that there was an escape method the other Black Organization members didn't wait for?" Otohime pointed out, getting the attention of the humans.
"Yes…" Seeing the confusion in the others he continued. "The Black Organization member who was just here, mentioned that there was an escape procedure installed in case this place needed to be disposed of. It's likely safe to assume he went there."
"I'm not leaving without my son." Booker growled.
"And I ain't leaving without Kudo." Heiji shrugged in agreement.
"My daughter will never forgive me if I let her boyfriend drown." Richard grumbled.
Tiger was stunned…he, Otohime, and the rest of the fishmen would be fine when the water would completely submerge the place, but these humans…they could only hold their breath for so long.
Sabo cleared his throat. "How about this then: we split up. I will go with Otohime-san and Tiger-san to find this escape route that was mentioned, and you guys go find Kudo-san. This way, we're finding a lost comrade, and not wasting our time to escape. Don't worry…I won't leave without you, in fact…I'll come looking for you if I have to."
Heiji frowned. "You don't have to, you know."
At this Sabo smirked. "Oh yes…I forgot to mention my dream back from my world didn't I?" He grinned at them merrily. "Now that I know it may be possible to go home, I can say this proudly and loudly: my dream is be the Pirate King, and in accordance to the pirate creed, I will never abandon my nakama!"

Gin glared at the unconscious detective, chained against the metal frame of the open-ended aquarium. However, since the explosion, that aquarium was no connected with the real salty ocean water. Despite the structure sinking, Gin knew this part would stay only partially sunk, but from an outside visual point, it merely looked like a tiny stump sticking out of the water. It was enough of disguise to discourage his family to swim to his rescue. Besides…even if they did, it wouldn't matter…only he knew about this part of the aquarium.
Savoring the privacy, he looked down at his nemesis, Jimmy Kudo. The boy's arms were splayed out, but his legs were tucked in- giving him the look of a crucified savior. He spat at that thought…as if God protected anybody in this unenlightened world. Kudo's hand were loose enough to where he could drip them in water; it was perfect. Despite the extreme size disadvantage, he was actually giddy at the fact that Kudo was still a child at the moment…this would make the situation all the more satisfying.
He got so excited that he couldn't wait anymore. So he pulled out a device from the detective's backpack; it was Kudo's tazer. Gin turned the voltage down so it wouldn't knock the boy unconscious…that would be no fun. Putting the device on the boy's stomach, he clicked.
ZZZ!
Conan jolted awake and looked around himself in a panicked state. He was wide-eyed and found himself unable to move; when his eyes finally focused enough…he sucked in a breath to hold his scream. There was Gin…right above him, with blood dripping from his head; several droplets of it fell to Conan's forehead. The boy struggled desperately, finally figuring out that he was chained. Despite this, continued to struggle feverishly.
"You had your chance." Gin's voice stopped his struggle. Conan looked over and saw Gin pull out an army pocket watch from his backpack. Fear filled the detective as the man slowly went through each setting on the knife. When he settled on the cork-screw, he walked over and knelt down to the boy. "You had your chance to get your revenge on me…you had your chance to be my executioner…but you blew it. All because you found out your little girlfriend was alive…which shocked me too honestly. All of us thought she was dead, wonder how she pulled it off." He moved the weapon around in his hand.
Conan clenched his fists, flinching when he felt water; making him realize just what exactly his position was. He gulped silently and asked: "What happens now Gin-san?"
"Now? Now I just enjoy myself for a bit…I figure…a few cuts and slashes here…" He made cuts at Conan's shirt. "…A few burn marks here…" He traced a line down Conan's pant leg. "And a couple of stab wounds here!" He suddenly put the corkscrew right through Conan's palm.
"AAAUGH!" The boy shouted in shock. He saw his blood slowly drip into the icy blue waters.
"And…I'll be satisfied enough to where I can kill you." Gin laughed. "It's actually funny…when your back was turned, I was going to cut your head off and leave it at that. But after that explosion occurred, and I saw you lying unconscious…I just got so creative."
"Gin-san…please…" Conan bit his lip, he WOULD NOT plead. Not in this position, not again. He knew it was suicide to say this, but he refused to give this man the satisfaction of his fear. So Conan laid his head back and looked directly into the eyes of his nemesis. He then gave a grin, a grin that could mirror Sabo's, the grin...that the Strawhat Captain, Monkey D. Luffy passed to him. Proudly, with the grin of 'D' he challenged his killer. "Do your worst."

Vermouth bit her lip…unsure of what to do at the moment. Her leader stood at the door of the Kudo manor, looking at her expectantly, while Lupin hadn't moved from his post on the chair.
"Let's go my pet…we have to meet up with the others." Okiya stated.
clenching her fists, Vermouth took out a pen and piece of paper…scribbling something down. She then gave the paper to Lupin, who accepted it warily. She gave him an apologetic look. "It may be too late but…there was a secret room that Gin-san went to be alone…if you can't find Kudo, he might be in there." She then walked to Okiya's side, who bore a look of disapproval.
As Lupin dialed Fujiko and his other comrades desperately, Okiya could only push his glasses up in frustration. "So the cycle goes on."
Review please! For Gamelover41952, there's your D grin! Hope I did you proud! See you next week folks!
