Please read^

Julia stands up and heads to the door, she glances back at me. "You coming?" she asks.

"We are not going to kill her yet, we need people, resources, something we can use." I said. She rolls her eyes.

"Where the hell are we going to get that, I mean come on, the dauntless are already working with Jeanine." I grabbed my bag and opened the door.

"Not all of them." I said on my way to the car.

"Where are you going?!" she shouted after me.

"To get Four! Just stay here and umm. Actually go to Tori, tell her everything, and get her on our side!" I shouted as I got in the car.

"That's my car!" Julia shouted as I started the engine. I found keys just lying on the seat.

"I am saving your sister! Let me use your fricken car!" I shouted as I drove away. I drove to Tobias's house, slightly speeding to get there quickly. I was speeding past a small diner run by the Amity when I saw Tobias's truck out front. I did a U-turn in the middle of the road and parked crooked in the parking lot. I grabbed my bag with the file in it and ran out the door to the diner.

Tobias POV

I walked in the diner and sat down, my requested meeting with Eric had to happen, and after all he is my teacher / leader of Dauntless. He came in and sat across from me, his piercings glinting in the bright lights. I stared at him waiting for him to talk, I leaned back and crossed my arms. He laughed.

"Trying to look tough Tobias?" he asked, a smirk on his face.

"What am I here for?" I asked keeping my voice low so only he can hear it.

"We have a problem." He said, he flattened his hands on the table and spread his fingers.

"So, you're the leader, you deal with it." I said starting to stand up.

"No." he said grabbing my arm and pulling me back into my seat. I leaned forward elbows on the table.

"Okay, what?" I asked.

"Well see our problem is this. The number of found divergent in dauntless has raised with the past year or two of new students. We can't have that. We have a small agreement with the erudite, since we both want to rid this town of divergent. What I want of you, since you seem to be the leader of the high schoolers, is to get rid of any young divergent. I then want you to take care of any divergent teens or adults in the area you suspect." I started to shake my head, not believing what he was asking me to do. "Then after the divergent have been gotten rid of we must get rid of the next threat. The abnegation." I stiffened at the word.

"What do the abnegation have to do with anything?" I asked staring at him.

"Well they are corrupting the government, letting the divergent walk free among us, we can't have that. So we must…. Get rid of the necessary people." he said keeping his voice calm.

"No." I said staring at him. "No I won't kill innocent people, I will help you find the divergent, but I refuse to kill them." Eris raised an eyebrow.

"Has the stiff grown a backbone?" he said mocking my former faction. "Fine Tobias, but choose where you loyalties lie, and come the time when we take over, your with us or against us. And if you are against us, we have ways of making you for us. Watch your back stiff." He spit the words at me as he stands up and stalks out of the diner. I order a cup of coffee and sit with my head in my hands. I hear the tinkle of the bell announcing the new arrival of a customer. I look up to see Tris standing there, her bag clutched tightly to her chest. She scans the room as her eyes settle on me. Her piercing look digs into me as I churn the new information around in my mind. She runs up and plops down across from me. Her blonde hair sticks out all over the place, and her clothes are twisted as if she just woke up. I smile down into my coffee.

"What?" she asks looking at me, raising an eyebrow. I shake my head. She leans forward and throws a file onto the table in front of me. I raise an eyebrow and she nods her head towards it. I pick it up and glance through it.

"It's Julia's sister" I say quietly. Tris nods and snatches the file.

"Tobias I went there today, they were gathering and army of dauntless, young ones. There were a lot of them too." She said. I realized she was confirming my thoughts about what Eric had said.

"Oh God." I said suddenly feeling sick.

"What?" she asked leaning forward to look into my eyes.

"Eric was just here. He wants me to join them, to kill the divergent, then to kill the abnegation." She leans back in her chair, a number of emotions cross her face, and a stony look sets in place as she glances at me.

"Tobias." She says quietly.

I grab her hands and hold them to my chest, pulling her across the table to I can look at her. "What are we going to do?" I ask.

"We are going to build an army, then we are going to kill Jeanine." She says standing up pulling me with her.

"I am going to go see Caleb okay?" she says walking away, I nod and she rushes out to her car and leaves. I slowly walk to my truck. I sit in the driver's seat and I think of Tris. She is so beautiful and strong and brave, she can't go into battle, she will die, I can't see her die, I won't see her die. A single tear drops down my face as I envision her mangled body lying dea, the same one I see every time I go into my fear landscape. I drive away to Zeke's house to see if he can help, the vision of Tris still hard in my mind.
