Chapter 25 : Standing Up
Impact Zone
After being told about AMW ' s betrayal to Jarrett ' s Army by Jeff Jarrett to the others in the group and Jarrett ordering that something be done about Maria and the baby , Eric Young walked to the X-Division locker room knocking on the door .
" What do you want , Eric ? " Sabin asked when he opened the door seeing EY .
" I was needing to talk to Johnny is he in there ? " Eric asked showing that he had nothing to threaten them and that he was alone .
" Devine , " Sabin called into the locker room .
" Eric , " Devine said stepping out of the locker room .
" Can we talk ? Alone ? " Eric asked , he was having a hard time understanding what it was he needed to do .
" Uhm ? " Devine looked at Sabin wondering if it was a good idea .
" It ' s just me here if you are wondering and I don ' t have any plans to attack you , I really just need to talk . " Eric said .
" Alright , " Devine said nodding his head at Sabin before walking away from the locker room door .
" Everything is so confusing now , " Eric said .
" Everything ? " Devine asked .
" Since you and AMW left , it ' s like everything is backwards , Jarrett ordered us take out Maria and the baby , but as a man I can ' t do it . But , I don ' t want to betray my brothers either . " Eric said making Devine realize that Showtime was on the fence .
" Eric , do you know the reason why AMW and I left Jarrett ' s Army ? " Devine asked .
" Jarrett said you guys betrayed us , " Eric said .
" No , it ' s the other way around Eric , Jarrett started attacking the X-Division and I couldn ' t allow him to ransack the brotherhood in the X-Division and Jarrett lied to AMW about things he was going to help them with , by never following through with what he promised them . So , we left because Jarrett betrayed us and he ' s making it where you guys in Team Canada are at odds with each other . Do you remember how it was when we first walked into TNA and were apart of the bond in the locker room ? " Devine asked .
" It seems like those good times went away since D ' Amore made us side with Jarrett . " Eric said .
" Exactly , Jeff made the locker room divide , bro . " Devine said .
" So , you believe that you made the right decision leaving Jarrett ' s Army then ? " Eric asked .
" Best decision I ' ve ever made , Eric , I felt free to be myself and not conform to what others were making me into . " Devine said .
" I don ' t want to be apart of Jarrett ' s Army anymore , but I don ' t want to betray Team Canada either . " Eric said .
" You know , I never saw my leaving as betraying Team Canada , just me searching for a better way and hoping you guys would do the same . " Johnny said .
" I want in , " Eric said .
" What ? " Devine asked .
" I want to help end this Jarrett ' s Army and free our brothers . I want freedom and to go back to the way things were in the locker room before all of this stuff started up , Johnny . " Eric said .
" Then let ' s get your stuff and bring it to this side of the locker room before they get a clue about what you are doing bro . " Devine said .
" That simple ? " Eric asked .
" That simple , I will grab Sabin , Cassidy , and Sonjay to help us . " Devine said .
" Sure , " Eric said .
Naturals ' Beach House
Maria was at the beach house snuggled up next to Andy asleep as AMW had left out , going somewhere leaving her with the Naturals on their free day when a phone call on Chase ' s phone woke her up .
" Hello , what ? That ' s awesome news , it means less people to deal with , yes , I will tell them , thanks for the message Cassidy . " Chase said before hanging up .
" What happened ? " Maria asked .
" Eric left Jarrett ' s Army and Team Canada , " Chase said .
" Thank you , " Andy said .
" Told you he would , " Maria said .
" Yeah , but apparently Jarrett is now after you and the baby , Maria . " Chase said .
" He won ' t be getting her either . " Andy declared .
" My brave Vampire Lord , you , " Maria hugged Andy as she felt a sharp pain in her side making her wince .
" You okay ? " Andy asked .
" I felt pain , " Maria said feeling another after a little while .
" Do we need to take you to the hospital and call AMW ? " Chase asked .
" I - I think so , " Maria feeling more pain .
" Alright , let ' s go , sweety , " Andy said helping her up and to the car as Chase grabbed her bag just as they had rehearsed a couple of days ago when AMW moved .
" We ' ll call Storm on the way , Maria . " Chase said as they got in the car .
" Okay , " Maria said as they headed to the hospital .
Hospital
Maria was taken to the delivery room right away as it was revealed that she was going into labor by the time Storm had gotten to the hospital .
" What do I do ? " James asked .
" Go in there and help them , Storm . " AJ said .
" How ? " Storm asked .
" Be supportive and keep her as calm as possible . " Daniels advised him .
" Okay , " Storm said .
" James , " Rhyno said .
" Yeah , " James said .
" Just remember when you come out of there , your whole world will be changed , you will have two people to think about . " Rhyno told him .
" I ' m ready , " James said going into the delivery room with Maria .
" You have any thoughts ? " Gail asked Chris .
" Storm will do great as father . " Chris said .
" You know this because ? " Sabin asked .
" He ' s been apart of this for the beginning and he ' s not going to mess it up now . " Chris knowing Storm ' s thoughts behind being a good dad .
Delivery Room
" Ow , " Maria screamed as she pushed .
" You doing , darlin , " Storm said .
" One more big push will do it , " The doctor said .
" AH , " Maria screamed out the last push as she grabbed the Cowboy ' s hand squeezing it making Storm hold back an owe himself before both of them heard a baby crying .
" She ' s perfect , " The doctor said as he cleaned the baby off and gave her to Maria .
" Hey baby , " Maria said tearing up as she saw the pretty little girl .
" She ' s so pretty , " Storm said feeling a sense of over protectiveness when he saw his daughter .
" Makayla Chyna Storm , welcome to the world , " Maria said .
Maria held the baby for awhile and then Storm held her feeling a part of him begin to change as the little girl in pink blankets made him rethink everything he had done lately . When the guys had finally been allowed in to see Maria and the baby , Storm wasn ' t the only one to feel an overwhelming amount of change , when EY saw Makayla he also felt something inside of him change .
" She ' s pretty , " Chris said looking at his little niece .
" See I knew you wanted a girl , " Storm said making Chris look at him .
" Chris won ' t tell you that though , " Gail said also getting a look from the Wildcat .
" Mister stoic , " Maria said .
" Hello , little one , " Andy and Chase looking at her .
" Naturals if you scare her , I will skin both of you , " Storm warned .
" I was saying hello to my goddaughter , " Andy said .
" Eric , why don ' t you go and say hello , too , " Maria saw Eric off to the side .
" Me ? " Eric asked confused .
" You ' re her godfather as well , " Maria said .
" But , why after everything I ' ve done ? " Eric asked .
" If it hadn ' t been for you , we both may have overheated the day Kash attacked , so , I think you would help protect her . " Maria said .
Eric went to where the baby was sleeping in the hospital crib to say hello to the new baby when he saw her up close he smiled .
" You can count on me , Cowboy , Maria and to the rest of you , I ' m sorry for not standing up for you sooner and backing out of Jarrett ' s Army . " Eric said .
" Welcome back to the family , Eric . " AJ said .
End Note: Here we are at the end of another story , much like some of my other ones , this story will be in parts . The second part of the story will be up once I get finished with some other projects I have going so be on the look out for that in the future .
