HOGWARTS – After Harry, Draco, Hermione, Neville, Luna, Caleb and the Cullens had breakfast they sent their luggage and belongings with the house elves ahead of them. Snape led them to the Room of Requirement. "What is this place?" asked Alice.
"This is the Room of Requirement." said Hermione.
"It becomes what the person needs it to become." said Neville.
They stood in the middle of the room and saw the floor transform they were standing inside a carved out Celtic wheel with the four symbols of the Hogwarts houses: the griffin, the raven, the snake and the badger on the top of each wheel carved into the floor.
"This is the Hogwarts Wheel." said Snape. "It was create by the Founders of Hogwarts to ensure a safe, bulletproof apparition to any place the witch or wizard needs to go. It's the only way to fully secure that you reach your destination without being detected by outside forces." He stepped out of the circle.
"Remember to secure the wards around the school." said Draco.
"I took care of it last night." said Snape. "Thank you for the warning."
Alice nodded enthusiastically. "What now?"
"Everyone form a circle here in the center." said Harry. Edward, Alice, Jasper, Harry, Caleb, Emmett, Hermione, Draco, Neville, Luna, Esme, Carlisle, Rosalie and Felix did as they were told. "Hold hands…" They did. He closed his eyes. "…and hold on tight." They all closed their eyes. He breathed in and chanted. "Grimmlock."
The circle lit up, the Gryffindor wheel and griffin red, the Slytherin wheel and snake green, the Ravenclaw wheel and raven blue and the Hufflepuff wheel and badger yellow. In moments the room filled with swirling lights before it returned to normal and they were gone.
TOWN OF GRIMMLOCK – SOUTHERN SCOTLAND – Everyone opened their eyes and saw they were in the front entrance to a town, there was a large arch shaped wooden banner with the word GRIMMLOCK on it. The land was lush and green. "Are we going in?" asked Hermione.
"No." said Harry. "I don't know this place, I don't know who is here and who is not and before we decide to go exploring I'd like to get home."
"We could all use some time to rest." Said Draco. "It's been a rough few days…" Everyone nodded in agreement. He took out his wand and chanted. "ACCIO KNIGHT CAB."
They heard a motor roar and jumped off the street when a long purple limo raced up to them. "You called?" said the wizard as he got out of the car in a grey and yellow tuxedo uniform with yellow gloves and top hat.
"Yes." said Draco.
The wizard flicked his wand and magically opened the limo door, bowed and gestured for them to get in. They got in he swished his wand closing the door, walked around the car and got in the passenger seat. "Welcome to the Knight Cab, I am Doc, all the destinations of our customers in confidential, wherever you go will never be known outside this magical vehicle to ensure the absolute safety of our passengers, Company Policy, unless there is a Ministry Investigation." Harry was impressed. "Where would you like to go?"
"Potter Manor." said Harry. "Please."
Doc nodded and raced off. Oddly enough, despite the high speed level they were driving, they couldn't feel it. It was like traveling on a gentle cloud.
"This is nice." said Esme.
"Finally." said Harry. "Something the Ministry has done right."
Five minutes later they stopped and got out of the car. Draco walked over to the drivers window. Doc rolled the window down. "That'll be five galleons." said Doc. Draco paid him. "Thank you."
Doc gave him a card. "In case you need me again."
"We'll keep than in mind." said Draco, putting the card in his pocket. "Thank you again." Doc tipped his hat in second and raced off.
They stood in the middle of the road, staring at the immensely vast countryside in front of them, there was not a house anywhere.
"Harry?" asked Felix. "Where is the house?"
Harry stepped forward, to the side of the road raised his hand. They all saw an invisible jellylike shield where Harry touched. "Protection Sheild."
Hermione took out her wand and scanned it. "Proteggo Maxima Fiatu Duri Ward…The goblins were right…"
Neville scanned the ward too. "It's very strong Harry."
Harry took his wand and inserted it into the ward. The ground shook for two seconds, he twisted his wrist and in moments they saw a huge black iron gate with the Potter Crest above it. The entire property which went on for miles was aligned with ten foot tall English boxwood ivy hedge, which was unfortunately now dead. "Neville I guess that hedge will need your green thumb."
"What about the elves?" asked Draco.
"I just told them to bring over the furniture and organize them as they saw fit." Said Harry. He inserted his wand into the lock, it fit perfectly, turned it once clockwise, they all heard a lock open, turned it again clockwise, they all heard another lock open and then turned it a third time counter clockwise before removing the key. They all heard two more clocks open and the gate opened inwardly. The Cullens all stepped through after Harry, Hermione Caleb and Draco.
POTTER MANOR – The front circular flagstone courtyard was huge with a large winged unicorn fountain in the center, it was clean and working perfectly. Harry guessed the elves fixed it when they got there. Looking up at the house it was huge made entirely of calacatta marble and whit stone columns. They walked up to the double door entrance.
Harry swished his wand at the door and it magically opened inward. They all stepped into the large circular foyer, it was so big they stood in a single file and didn't' bump into the walls at all.
"Wow…" said Edward. Harry took his hand. He turned to his mate and smiled.
Stepping down the foyer stairs and walking down the hallway they was stunned at the magnificence of the place. The walls on either side had five candled Versailles wall sconces. Midway down the hallway, which was as comfortably wide medium sized hallway they found two double doors on either side, which at the moment were open.
On their left was the formal dining room and on their right, was the formal drawing room, or living room. Both rooms had grand marble roaring fireplaces, tall diamond pane Tudor windows, in fact from what they could see, all the windows of the house were diamond pane Tudor windows. Both rooms had magnificent luxurious Versailles style crystal chandeliers, about thirty two inches in diameter, thirty seven inches in length and held up about thirteen candles, twelve on the exterior and one big one in the interior. Above them in the center of the hall was a smaller one.
They kept on walking until reaching the bottom of the grand staircase, the chandelier that towered above it and them was huge on itself. This was probably thirty eight inches in diameter and forty four inches in length with sixteen candles, fifteen on the exterior and one in the interior. From the outside it had a romantic Renaissance design to it but inside it was more French baroque style, it was quite magnificent.
The grand staircase was also made of marble, it lead up to a landing under a tall diamond pane Tudor window, with the Potter gamily crest, engraved in stain glass. At the foot of the staircase stood two large marble angels, each holding up a large nine arm candelabra in each hand. It was similar to the staircase at the Palais Garnier in Paris. They could only imagine how beautiful the house looked when all the candles were lit up at night.
"Well…" sighed Harry. "Welcome home."
"Harry…" gasped Edward. "This place is not a manor…"
"It's a palace." said Draco. "It's even more grand than Malfoy Manor…and that's saying something."
"It's our home." said Harry. He swished his wand, everyone felt a waved of magic around them. "I've added your magical and supernatural signatures to the wards of the house so it will recognize you immediately as its owners."
"It's like a fairy tale!" said Alice dancing in a circle around Jasper.
Harry waved his wand and summoned the three house elves: Pip, Meep and Doppi. They popped in. "Welcome Master Harry and his family to Potter Manor." Said Pip. They bowed at their masters.
"Thank you Pip." said Harry. "You did a wonderful job." The house elves smiled at the complement. "Is the kitchen stocked?"
"It is indeed Sir." said Meep. He snapped his fingers popping their luggage next to the stairs.
"Good. I don't know much about houses or house management so from now on Lady Hermione Malfoy and Lady Esme Cullen will mostly be in charge of you and your duties." said Harry.
"When is dinner Mistress Cullen?" asked Doppi.
"We usually eat around eight o clock." said Esme. "After we are settled into our rooms I'd love to see the kitchen."
"There are forty bedrooms in this house Harry." said Hermione.
"Yes indeed Mistress Malfoy." said Pip. "Twenty on the east wing and twenty on the west wing."
"The east wing has views of the English garden." said Doppi.
The west wing has views of the French garden." said Meep.
"I guess you all can decide on what garden you prefer to see." said Harry. "I personally like the English garden since I haven't been to France yet."
"Well then lets go up." said Edward.
Harry swished his wand and the luggage floated up following their corresponding owners.
Meep popped in on them on the second floor. "On this floor is the library, the multiple studies, the duel room and the potions lab."
Doppi popped in. "The bedrooms are on the third floor."
"Thank you." said Harry.
They all climbed up to the third floor. Harry Edward, Esme Carlisle, Rosalie and Felix headed for the east wing while Alice Jasper, Caleb Emmett, Luna Neville, Draco and Hermione headed for the west wing.
Harry opened the door and escorted Edward into their bedroom. It was huge, the size of a small ballroom, spacious and walkable. In front of the windows was the large king sized bed, which faced the door. Edward sat on the bed, the mattress was like a cloud, on their left were two doors with an large crackling fireplace in between, one next to the door one. There was also a double door on their right. Above the center of the room was a chandelier a bit smaller than the ones in the hall or in the rooms downstairs and sconces on the walls.
Harry walked over to the right and walked in. "Is the bathroom..." He rushed over to the other doors next to the fireplace. "These doors are to our closet."
Edward walked in, the closet was huge in the crescent moon design. The wall next to them on the left and the wall on the right, next to the other door were for clothes and the wall in the middle was for shoes and jewelry. There was a full–length mirror on the wall in between the two doors. He figured the fireplace was behind it, though the fire was behind the wall it didn't feel warm.
"What do you think?" asked Harry.
"I love it." said Edward.
"Are you happy?" asked Harry.
Edward walked over, caressed Harrys face and kissed him on the lips. "Very happy Harry..." Harry was leaning in to kiss him. "…and it's all thanks to Jacob."
"What?" Harry snapped back with a grin. "Jacob?"
"If he hadn't dumped you..." said Edward. He gave Harry a peck on the lips. "...none of this would've happened, and for that I'll be eternally grateful."
Harry smiled. "Then…Thank you Jacob."
Edward laughed as they kissed. Edward for the first time felt that this was a place he could finally settle down for good.
Hermione's otter swished into the room. "Drawing room in five minutes."
"We better go." Said Harry. Edward kissed him on the forehead as they left their room.
POTTER MANOR – DRAWING ROOM – Harry walked in followed by Rosalie and Felix. "So… How did you find your rooms?"
"Perfect." said Carlisle.
"Everything is so grand and…" said Esme.
"…and it's all ours." said Harry.
"The time for running is over No more running and jumping from city to city and town to town. No more passport updates…." said Draco nodded putting his arm around Jasper. "This is our home, where we will live for eternity." Jasper hugged him back.
"Now…" said Hermione, taking her role as Lady Malfoy Potter. "Please sit down." Everyone sat on the finely polished couches. "You all want to get acquainted with our lifestyle so it's best to star now." They all nodded. "We won't touch all of it today or tonight, but we can start. First of all breakfast is served mostly at nine, lunch is one, we take afternoon tea is at four o clock and dinner is at eight…We must all try to dress our best at all times or as much as we can for dining times. Dinner required semi formal attire unless there is an important supper that requires formal black tie clothes." She turned to the Cullens. "We all have to go to the Vampire Registration Office at the Ministry to make you all official citizens of the British Wizarding Citizens, get your official Wizarding Passports and documents. Everything must be done by the book." She turned ot Felix. "Felix, you have decided to become an official Cullen so we can take care of the name change there."
"Jobwise we can start checking that out later on." said Draco. "Research is required and I think we could use some time to settle in to our new home. I mean we really don't need to work."
"Now…" said Harry. "Why don't we take a look around the house."
***I loved this chapter. That's all I have to say. I fell in love with this house ever since I outlined it. I WANT to live there! lol I decided to divide this chapter into two, maybe three, because the house is sooo big it couldn't cover it all in just one. Which is good cause I can then take my time with it. I can hint some deliciousness is coming up next! PLEASE REVIEW! ***
