Ohayo! It's so good to be back!~ I've never been so attached to anyone or anything ever in my life! I know, I know, I've babbled about this topic already in the last chapter, but hey! I gave you guys two fudging chapters in one day! Show some respect people. Anyways, enough with the boring chitter chatter. Onto the story!
-Lucy's P.O.V-
"Rogue... I'm so sorry." I said, hugging him tightly. "It's... Okay. Nothing lasts forever." The raven haired mage replied. "Promise me, our friendship will though." I grinned, removing my head from his chest. "Of course." He gave me a friendly peck on the cheek, and smiled sweetly.
I blushed slightly, and let go of him. "Well, I guess I should go. Lis is probably waiting." I sighed. "I wouldn't bet on that." Rogue pointed at the laughing couple in the corner. Rogue and I exchanged glances before walking over to the two lovey-dovey mages.
"Ahem..." Rogue coughed, getting only Lisanna's attention. "Sting." I said, nonchalantly. "Huh? Yeah?" I rolled my eyes, and smiled. "We'll come and visit again soon." I waved, while Lis just blew an air kiss. "How out of character." I smirked.
"Love'll do that to you." Lisanna chuckled. "So, you're officially Natsu's girlfriend. How is it?" She asked. "Not a huge change, besides holding hands and stuff. He still treats me like a guy." I replied. "Uhuh... Natsu treats everyone like a guy! Except maybe Erza and Mira." She said.
"Did Natsu get your name the first time you two met?" I asked. "No, he called me Lasagna." I couldn't help but smirk. "Why, what did he call you?" Lis asked. "Luigi." Yes, remember that dear readers? He called me, Luigi.
"..." Lis stayed quiet before letting out the contained laughter. "I-I'm sorry!..." She apologized covering her mouth. "It's okay..." I slumped. After that, the conversation just went downhill. "Awkward~" Lis sang. "Yup..."
"Um, let's... Talk more about each other! Luce, what's your favourite... Colour?" She asked. "Blue and pink." She gave me the 'No surprise' face, and smirked. "And you?" I retaliated. "White and Blue." "Very fond of yourself, huh? Lis." I laughed.
"What do you mean?" The youngest takeover sibling asked. "Your eyes are blue, your hair is white." I pointed out. "... Coincidence!" She laughed. "Favourite flower?" I asked. "Um, I would have to say... Orchids." The whitette answered. (Whitette, let's just pretend that's a word) "Mine would have to be... Forget Me Not." Lisanna nodded in agreement.
-Lisanna's P.O.V-
"Why Forget Me Not?" I asked. "Cause... It always reminds me of the people I care about most." Luce giggled, swinging her arm around my shoulder. "Aw, that's nice." I smiled. "So, why do you like orchids?" The Blonde asked.
"Because! It's fun to say! Orc-kid... It's so funny!" I laughed, I'm such a little kid...
-Back at Lucy's Apartment-
We were on our sixteenth round of 'Would-you-Rather', so far, Luce has skipped two questions, while I'm still in the clear. And now, it's my turn. "Would you rather, break up with Natsu and get together with... Ichiya!" I faded, and Luce gagged. "Or battle Erza to the death for Jellal." I would never do any of these, I'd much rather jump off a cliff then have Ichiya... Sniffing me, or getting pierced by Erza's swords.
"Um, I think I'll skip..." Lucy murmured. "Yes! I win!" I cheered, standing up. "Popsicle for the loser?" I asked, smirking. "What are you talking about? Didn't you just eat the last one two hours ago?" She grinned.
"Oh, right... I'd offer to puke it up for you, but that would just be disturbing... For the both of us." I sighed. "Yeah... It's getting late, you're suppose to go back now, right?" Lucy asked, pointing at the clock. "Crap! It's 9 already?!"
"Yeah, Elfman's gonna destroy the town if you're not back in five minutes." I laughed. "... LuLu! Come with me, I'm scared of the dark... And rapists!" I added. Of course I'm scared of the dark, who isn't?
"Yeah, okay. Just let me grab my sweater." The Blonde said, standing up, and going through her walk-in closet. "Oh, hey! Lis, I found your hat!" She yelled. "Wow, I've lost it for seven months, and you found it in two seconds." I mumbled.
"What can I say? I'm your good luck charm!" Lucy smiled, walking out of the closet in a light blue sweater. She threw me my hat, and closed the closet's door. "Let's go!" Lucy grinned.
Outside, Lucy closed the door and sighed. "Left the key inside..." I pulled her back and handed her my key to the apartment. "Just give it back to me tomorrow!" I reminded. "I-it's the key to my apartment..." She mumbled.
We started walking, but something felt weird. Like we were being... Watched. "You feel it too, Luce?" I asked. "Like we're being watched?" Lucy whispered back. "Yeah." I nodded. We turned around, and faced whoever was behind us, only to meet up with a cat.
"... We were being watched by a cat..." I stated awkwardly. "Yeah... Why're you stalking us cat?" Luce asked in a hused tone. It stared at us and hissed, before running away. "Gee, it actually makes Pantherlily look... Not scary..." I laughed at her remark, I knew she didn't exactly love cats.
But ended up joining a guild full of exceeds! We were halfway back to my house, and passed by the guild, which was still partying the night away. Lucy and I gasped and ducked, when a chair came flying out of the window.
"GOD DAMN IT PEOPLE! KEEP THE FURNITURE ON THE FLOOR!" I yelled.
After continuing to walk again, that weird feeling of being watched was still there. "I think I should get back now, your place is only a few houses down, you'll probably make it without getting raped." Lucy said with a smirk. "Oh, okay. I'll see you tomorrow then." I waved. "Okay, see you tomorrow!" The Blonde waved back.
-Lucy's P.O.V-
I hummed as I walked back, and passed the guild. "Is there ever a day where they won't party like there's no tomorrow?" I giggled. I stopped in my tracks, and froze. "Who's following me?" I whispered, and turned around. "Who are you?!" I asked, yelling back.
I think that's the last straw, I'm going back to the guild. Whatever or whoever was following me, really knows how to creep you out. As my steps sped up, so did their's, and vice-versa.
"Who's there?" I asked again. I turned back and walked backwards, to see if I could spot the stalker.
"Nothing... Maybe I'm just imagining this..." I sighed, and turned back to see where I had headed. "I know someones there..." I said, I finally reached the park in the middle of the town, and made my way up the stairs.
Calm down, Lucy. The guild's only another block away. I shivered and stopped when I heard whispers. "I swear I'm gonna hurt yo-. . ."
-Lisanna's P.O.V-
"ELF-NII-CHAN! WHERE'S MY BLEACH: VOLUME 8?!" I yelled. "I DON'T KNOW!" He yelled back. "YEAH YOU DO! IF I SEE ONE KISS MARK ON ORIHIME, BAD, BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN, NII-CHAN!" I screamed back.
I plopped back into my bed, and felt something hard and bendy under my pillow. "... ELF-NII-CHAN! NEVERMIND! I FOUND IT!" I laughed awkwardly, and took out the white manga book. I got up and placed the book back to it's proper position on my shelf. I almost jumped when I heard a screech through the house.
"LISANNA! ELFMAN!" A voice, I recognized as Mira's called. I rushed down the stairs to greet her like usual, but worry struck me when I met up with her, panting and teary. "Mira? What happened?..." I asked, trying to calm her down.
"Lucy..." Elf-nii-chan glanced at me and back at Mira. "Was attacked..." I paused, in shock, and stood still without single sign of breathing.
What?! Lucy was attacked! How did this happen?! Baka! This all happened when you felt that someone was following you guys, you should have done the safe thing and stayed over at Lucy's house like usual! How was I suppose to know she would have been attacked?! Hell do I know?! Why are you just frozen in place? Your best friend just got assaulted and you're gonna just stay there like a statue?! Right, you're right!
I snapped back into reality, and sprinted out of the house. "Luce... Please be alright..."
-At the Guild-
I shot through the door, and crashed into the guild. "LUCY?!" I yelled. "Lisanna..." Natsu mumbled. "LUCY! Where is she!?" I cried, ready to break a hole through the wall to get into the infirmary. "No! LIS." Cana yelled, pinning me down. "CHILL. Lucy's alright. (Probably)" Cana whispered the ending. "PROBABLY?!" I screamed, shooting back up.
"What do you mean probably?!" Cana placed a finger over my lips, and signaled that I should calm down. "Porlyusica said she'd try her hardest to make sure Luce's okay. But the wounds are kinda -don't freak out- deep." The brunette winced and prepared for me to shout.
"I see... What about whoever harassed her?" I asked, calmly. "He's been arrested for sexual assault, manslaughter if Lucy... Forget it, but he'll be in court in about a month, don't worry." She said. "Okay..." I replied. "Don't freak out, Lucy's probably fine. After Porlyusica's done with her, you can stay with her." Cana comforted.
My eyes wandered from the window, to Cana, to the infirmary door. My eyes widened, and I jumped up when the wooden door flew opened, revealing the pink haired women. "Listen! Incompetent humans! The girl is fine. But because of the specific medicine used, there may be some... Quirks, or affects." She finished, and walked out of the guild as if nothing happen.
I stared at Cana, and everyone else in the guild, they were surprised I wasn't making a scene... "LUCY!" I cried at the top of my lungs, and rushed into the small infirmary. "Lulu!" Cana yelled, behind me, while Levy, Juvia and Erza followed behind.
I cringed at the bloody hole on her forehead, the revolting smell of blood was enough to make me feel nauseous. "Ugh, I can't stand that smell..." I said, leaning on the bed. Erza sighed, as she placed her face in her palms. "Why is it always Lucy that gets targeted?" The red head shook her head.
"Who was it that assaulted Luce?" I asked. "I-I don't really remember... I think it was Toma, something..." Levy mumbled. "Toma... Toma... Sounds familiar." I said. I played with Lucy's pretty gold locks that were now, unfortunately, dyed red, becoming orange.
"She has to wake up..." I murmured. "She has to..."
What if Lucy never wakes up? It'll be so boring and... STUFF without her! Stupid, stop thinking about the worst case scenario, think a little more positive, would'ya? I mean, you might jinx it! It's better this way! I can't get my hopes up. I don't want to think this way, I just have to. All I'm hearing is stupidity, and my IQ dropping! You idiot! You gotta think a little more positive at least! I mean. Seriously, what's the worst that can happen from getting your hopes up?
I guess, you're right... What's the worst that can happen? (This is always what they say before the worst really happens! Stupid conscience, why am I listening to you?!) You can whisper, but I can still hear you! Shut up! NEVER!
"Mmm..." Is Lucy waking up? Ha! What'd I tell you? Positivity! "Lucy?" I whispered, hopping off from the bed. "Lucy..." The Blonde repeated. "That's a really pretty name!" She laughed. I giggled with her. "Yeah, it is! So, Luce, are you okay? Does it hurt or anything?" I smiled at her sadly.
"My name is Luce? Luce, or Lucy? This is confusing!" Lucy whined. "... What are you talking about?" I asked, starting to freak out. "What are you talking about? Oh! And I'm fine, my head just hurts a tiny bit, but it's okay!" Lucy laughed, wait... Is this one of the quirks Porlyusica was talking about?
"Lucy. What is my name?" I asked, hesitantly. "Your name... Your name is... Um... Uh... I'm sorry. I really... Don't know..." I was horrified, memory loss? This is the worst thing that could possibly happen! Thanks a bunch conscience! At least she didn't go into coma! Take a chill pill and thank me!
URGH! I'd strangle you if you weren't imaginary! "W-... Wendy!" I yelled, rushing out of the infirmary. "Wendy!" I called the little blunette, who rushed in at the sound of my voice. "Lisanna-san, what's wrong?"
"Lucy... She has memory loss..." I said, biting my lip gently. The child's eyes widened, and she hesitated to speak. "Lucy-san. Do you remember how old you are?" She asked out of the blue. "... Well, taking a quick guess from how I look... 17, maybe 18? Why am I so busty..." She mumbled.
"Don't show off about it... Wendy is emotional when it comes to that..." I whispered, and Luce nodded. "Well... Just remember you're actually 24." Wendy said, turning her head to the formula on the nearby desk. "Porlyusica-san left this?"
"24?! I'm old! But why do I look so young?" She asked. How do I answer that?... "You moisturize. Now stay in bed, I have to talk to the guild." I sighed, and said sternly. "Guild? I'm in a guild?! Is it Blue Pegasus? I think I could probably make it in!" Lucy yelled, happily, tracing her body figure in mid-air. So apparently her knowledge of the guilds are still okay.
"Do you remember what magic you use?" Wendy asked. "... Hmm, am I a dragon slayer? That would be so cool!" The Blonde jumped up and down. "... Yeah... Okay then... You're not a dragon slayer." I sighed, and gave Wendy the assignment of watching Lucy.
This is NOT the worst case scenario! I haven't heard my thank-you yet! Shut up, you! Because of all this, my best friend doesn't remember who I am!... Ooh, must be painful for Natsu and the team then... Eh, let'em down easy.
"GUYS!" I yelled, pulling out a chair, and using it as a stand. "Lucy, is conscious again." I said, cheerfully. I laughed, at the 'Whoop's and 'Hell yeah!'s. "But... Unfortunately... She lost her memory..."
"WHAT?!" Natsu yelled. "Does she remember me?! Does she remember anything?" Natsu panicked. "W-well... The only thing she remembers is the guilds... Besides that, she can't recall anything." Natsu groaned, and Cana sighed.
"I don't think having a whole guild going up to her will help the situation... Let's give her time to adjust to her surroundings, and when she starts to get comfortable, we can start introducing ourselves. Hopefully she can remember everything by then. In the meantime, Wendy. Where is she?" Erza asked.
"In the infirmary, watching Lucy." I replied.
"Okay, tell her to ask Porlyusica if she can help Lucy. Levy, Gajeel, Lily. Go with her." Erza ordered. Of course no one dared to object, especially not in this problem. We all nodded, and went to our assigned job. Which was just... Doing our normal routines...
-Wendy's P.O.V-
"It smells musty, and bloody in here! I don't like it." Lucy-san whined. "Lucy-san, you have to stay in here, it's Lisanna-san's orders." I said. "Lisanna... Oh! How cute, that name is adorable! I think it would really fit that white haired girl just here a few minutes ago!" Lucy laughed. How coincidental.
"Well, Lucy-san. You are correct, that really is her name." I smiled sweetly. "Oh, and what's your name? You're so cute. What are you? Thirteen?"
I giggled awkwardly. "I'm 19." I answered, causing the Blonde to freeze over in shock. "N-nineteen? Are you sure?... You look very... Young." She asked. "Lot's of things happened the past seven years." I laughed. "Okay..."
"My life seemed really interesting!" Lucy-san giggled cutely. "You have no idea..." I murmured. "Little girl... I'm getting bored, let's explore this building!" She jumped up, and flew out the door. "What? No! Lucy-san! You can't!" I rushed out, after her. Though pointless, but still worth the try.
"Ooh! So I'm a Fairy Tail mage? I'm in the coolest guild ever!" Lucy-san jumped in excitement. "Lucy..." Natsu-san mumbled.
-Lisanna's P.O.V-
"Wendy, you did a really lousy job of watching her..." I said, being honest.
"G-Gomene..." The girl bowed apologetically. I glanced at Gajeel and Levy, and glanced at the door. The three nodded, while Gajeel picked Wendy up, and threw her over his shoulder. (Yes, I mean 'Potato Sack Style'.) "..." Lucy stared awkwardly at the guild, and they stared back.
"H-Hi... People... I don't know..." She murmured. "Sup." Was the guild's response. Going back to the daily routine of partying and being... Loud. Lucy sat at the table I sat at and smiled at me as if she regained her memory. "So your name is Lisanna?" I perked up and smiled.
"Yup." She nodded. "I love that name! It's so pretty! Even more so than 'Lucy'." The Blonde laughed. The mood lightened, and so. Natsu, Gray, and Erza joined in on the talk. Lucy wasn't nervous, did you hear what she had to say in the infirmary?
Luce glanced at Gray, and smiled sweetly. She leaned in closer, and linked arms with the Ice mage. "You're cute! Are you my boyfriend?" Lucy asked. Erza and I snickered. Gray panicked at the look Juvia gave him, and Natsu wanted to die. "No. Zero questions asked, keep off of him, Gray is Juvia's property." I said, pointing at the innocent looking water mage, who tried to keep her cool.
"Oh. I see..." Lucy said, letting go of his arm. "They make a super cute couple! How'd you guys get together?" She asked. "... Some really great friends helped me out." Gray smirked, glancing at me and back to Lucy. "Oh. Hmm, so do I have a boyfriend?" Lucy asked, a lot more enthusiastic than usual.
"Yes." Erza answered for me. Lucy glanced at Natsu, and blushed. "I have a feeling it's you." She smiled. Natsu's signature grin was pasted onto his face as he swung an arm around Luce. "You're feelings, are right." The Pinkette smirked.
You're jealous, aren't you? Hell yeah! How did she remember Natsu before she remembered me! I'm her bestie! Her partner! Her... I dunno. Something else! Cool it, she'll remember you eventually, she figured out who Gray, Juvia, and Natsu are, she'll remember you in no time!
You better be right! "S-so... Do you remember his name?" I asked, please say no, please say no... "No." She answered. YES! "My name is Natsu." The fire mage smiled hopefully. "Oh, how precious! You're named after a seasons." Why does everyone in the Guild have to have such an awesome/cool/cute name?!
Okay, no. I'm not jealous... I'm not jealous. Yeah you are. Quiet you! "Well, I'm Erza, and this is..." The red head faded as she bent down, and came back up with a certain blue haired exceed. "Happy." Erza finished. "OH!" Lucy, quickly grabbed him and hugged him gently.
"You're the most adorable thing I have ever seen!" The Blonde flattered. "Aye!" Happy replied. "KYA!~"
Ugh... This is starting to get sickening... ~Jealous!~
-The Next Day-
"Hi hi, Lucy!" I smiled, which caused her to shriek. "WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!" The Blonde screamed. "... B-because... I have the key?" I answered. "Get out! Why are you in here! I don't even know you!" Lucy said, slowly getting off her bed.
"Y-yeah, well... I was hoping you could try to remember me... L-like... I'm Lisanna. Don't you remember?" I asked, desperately. "Yeah... I met you yesterday..." She replied, cautiously. "Well, whatever... Come on, let's get to the guild." I mumbled, dejected.
Lucy gave me the look saying 'Grumpy much?', but I just ignored it. "Come on." I waved to her, and grabbed her hand. "You're really pretty, are you Mirajane-san's little sister?" Lucy said out of the blue. "... Um, thank you? And, yeah. I'm Mira's sister."
"Oh, cool. I was hoping I could become her best friend! It looks like we have a lot in common. Like I love match making." She said. Don't get pissed off... "And manga!" Don't get pissed off... "Oh! And romance!" Oh. My. God. Are you messing with me?
"I just want you to know. You had a best friend before losing your memory. More than one... But a special one." I sighed. "Oh? Who?" Luce asked, interested. "No idea." I answered. "Okay... I guess..."
-Lucy's P.O.V-
Geez, this Lisanna girl is weird, might wanna avoid her. I just smiled, and nodded at what she said, and giggled from time to time just to pretend I was interested. She's just weird, I don't like her. "Lucy? Are you listening?" She asked. "Of course." I answered. "Okay..."
I sighed, and rolled my eyes. Annoying much? "Lisanna." I said monotonically. "Yeah?" I smiled sweetly and paused. "I really, don't like you." I stated.
-Lisanna's P.O.V-
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Did she just say she doesn't like me? DID SHE JUST SAY SHE DOESN'T LIKE ME?! It was like a stab to the chest, hurtful words hurt a million times more coming from Lucy! "No offense." The Blonde added.
"B-but!" I stuttered. Nothing else came out of my mouth, but not like it mattered, she kept walking anyways. I followed behind her, keeping a seven meter distance at all times, yes, it was very painful.
Finally, getting to the guild. Lucy smiled at the group of girls in the corner table, and came by them. While, I ended up going to Mira. "Mira!~" I moaned. "Lis? What's wrong?" The white haired beauty smiled sadly. "Lucy said... She doesn't like me..." I stated hoarsely.
"What? Don't be ridiculous. Lucy could never hate you, you're best friends, isn't there some kind of way you can remind her about that?" Mira asked. "Without having to talk to her? I don't think so."
Mira just gave me the 'I-know-you-can-figure-this-out-on-your-own' look, and I frowned and gave her the 'I-really-need-help-desperately-nee-chan' whimper. "Fine, you win Lis. I'll figure something out."
I smiled in satisfactory, and hopped of my stool. Juvia signaled that I should come over, and so, I did. "Hey." I greeted. "God, no." Lucy whispered, only enough for me to hear. She sent me a secretive frown and glare combination, and I stared at Erza as if I hadn't seen it.
"Guys, I'm gonna go home for awhile. I think I'll be back... Later." Lucy said, stretching out the last word. "Oh! Let me come with you!"
I noticed the small frown appearing on Lucy's face, and just overlooked it. I didn't really know I would regret it in the future. The talk didn't start up until we were pretty far from the guild. "So, Lucy. What's up?" I asked cheerfully. "Anything, but your IQ. I thought I told you I didn't like you!" She scowled.
"Yeah... I know, but-"
"Then stop following me! What the hell do you want from me!" She yelled. That was my limit. "You wouldn't get it." I replied nicely. "What wouldn't I get!? What is so difficult about all this?!" Lucy yelled, not frustrated, not angry, but utterly confused.
I stopped to breath in, and wiped away a tiny drop of water at the corner of my eye.
"Lucy! I was your best friend! WE were always together! There was never Lucy... And Lisanna. It was always, Lucy and Lisanna! We were besties! We were SISTERS! I never looked at anyone in the world this way, including Mira and Elf-nii-chan! You felt the same way! I could write the most embarrassing biography on your life, and you can so for me! I've helped you through break ups, painful memories, your lost ones! EVERYTHING! Oh, and I remember everything about our relationship! Ask me ANYTHING!" I panted.
"When did we become friends?" Lucy asked confidently. "July 27th, Eleven 'O' Clock in the morning, while you were drinking a strawberry smoothie! It's not just me in this relationship though! And you think I'm weird?! When my crush rejected me, and treated me like garbage, you went up to him, and told him he must be gay! You kidnapped Sting, and mailed him to me, as a present! You came out to the back of Kardia Cathedral at midnight to help me move a corpse! And I know I've already proven my point, but I just have to bring this one up! You threatened Sting and I quote, 'She's my best friend. If you break her heart, I'll break your FACE!'." I finished, of course I could have continued.
But then I would finish at like... 8 A.M. tomorrow.
"... I-I..." Lucy started. "D-d-don't lie to me! As if, I'm not like you, I'm normal! I won't break into someone's house, I won't randomly bring up 'unicorns' as the topic! You know why? Because I'm not you, nor am I your best friend!" She retaliated.
Lucy gave me a disgusted smirk, and frown simultaneously. "I've heard the rumors. You had and probably still have a crush on my boyfriend! That's the only reason you're getting all close to me! Stop making lies, and use your new free time to actually spend some time with your boyfriend! Who knows?! Maybe he's just a fake, you're probably using him to try and make Natsu jealous or something!" Lucy yelled (I really hate making Lucy so bitchy, it hurts my heart), um... Does memory loss usually turn you into a bitch? This is not the Lucy I know.
It took a few minutes for me to process everything she said, does it really seem like I'm trying to steal her boyfriend?! "Okay... If that's how you see it, I'm fine with it. And just so you know. You're the one that set me up with Sting." I smiled, sweetly.
Lucy froze for a minute, and bit her bottom lip. She turn around and started walking off, not before she said this though: "I still don't remember you, but you seem like a hell of an awesome best friend. And so do I..." I couldn't see her face, but I had a feeling Luce was smiling like an idiot.
But now, how do I make her remember me? There has to be something, hasn't Lucy told you anything about your friendship? A bracelet, necklace, lucky charm? Anything? I dunno. I explored the back of my brain where all my short term memory is, I don't really see... Anything. Well, I guess I can't help you here, if you can't remember, what're the chances I will?
I looked around, at nobody or nowhere in particular. But thanks to that. I got my 'Eureka' moment.
-Lucy's P.O.V-
I squealed inside, Happy is just so adorable! But I feel like there was something else I said that about. (People, I'm talking about a certain dog with a carrot nose) I unlocked my door, glad to find that it was still locked, and that Lisanna didn't intrude.
"I dunno, maybe she really was my best friend." I whispered. Anyways, apparently I'm writing a novel... Doesn't sound anything like me. I picked up the sheets of paper I saw in the corner of my eyes this morning -before being woken up by an intruder-. "Oh? What's this?"
