Hi All, Sorry it been so long. I was reading back over 'The Youngest Grey.' and have started writing another chapter for it. Huge thanks for all your support, messages and reviews. Please let me know your thoughts on this latest chapter. Best Wishes Mx

MATT

'I knew who you were when you first came in. I was on duty the night you were brought in with the ruptured spleen. I only work here two days a week, the rest of the time I'm at SP. I expect your mom will be here as soon as she finds out.' The doctor says.

'I think so.' I say. He raises his eyebrows. 'Christian is on his way, I presume he's told mom.'

'He will have done, your whole family will know by now. I'm surprised to see you here in Port Orchard.' He says.

'I've lived here for three months. It's easier here, away from the spotlight.' I mutter. He obviously knows mom but I'm not sure how much she will have told him.

'We'll stick with the name Harry on your medical notes if you want. There's no need to draw any unwanted attention. I'll warn Christian when he comes in.' the doctor says.

'Thanks.'. I say. 'Can I get up? I need to use the bathroom.'

'Soon, I just need to know why you didn't fight back, did he hit you over the head?' he asks.

'I didn't feel anything. I just woke up on the floor, I thought it might have been my blood sugar.' I say. 'The paramedics gave me my insulin but I would have injected it in the changing room anyway. I do need to eat soon though if I can.'

'Yes that should be fine. I'll arrange for some breakfast.' He says. 'I'm just concerned as to why you appeared to black out, has it happened before?'

'Only after the spleen op last summer but that was because of all the drugs that disagreed with my body, once they were flushed out I was fine.' I say.

'OK, you can use the bathroom but we might need to do a scan just to check all is as it should be.' He says.

'I'll look forward to it.' I mutter as I get down from the bed. He grins at me but I frown as I enter the bathroom. As I glance in the mirror I groan, my face looks a mess. Hannah will freak and I dread to think what Christian will do. When I re-enter the room the doctor is still in the room.

'All OK?' he asks.

'If you can call this face OK then yes.' I say. 'I'm worried that Christian will lose it when he sees me, can I request no visitors.'

'Hang on.' He says and goes to the door. 'I've put the 'No Visitors' sign up. I'll speak to Christian before he sees you.'

'Wow it's that easy.' I say.

'You're the patient, you get what you want. Visitors come second.' He says and this time I smile at him. 'Your breakfast is on its way, do you want to get back into bed or sit in the chair?'

'I'd prefer the chair.' I say and go to sit down.

'Your friend Jack, he was with you at the pool.' The doctor says.

'Yes. We'd just trained together. We were on our way to the changing rooms, I stopped briefly to let him go first because the entrance isn't quite wide enough for us both to fit through with all our kit and then I woke up on the floor.' I say.

'OK, I'll ask Jack if he knows anymore. I'll try and arrange your scan for as soon as possible and depending on the results we'll aim to have you home for early afternoon.' He says.

'That would be great, thanks.'

'No problem. I'm going to check on other patients now and also see if your brother has arrived. If you need anything just press the buzzer.' He says and then leaves me alone. I look out of the window and see the SUV pull up. Christian climbs out before going to the other side and opening the other passenger door. As Hannah gets out he takes her hand and then I see Jack approach them. Christian and Jack shake hands and then he hugs Hannah and says something to her, she nods at him and he briefly hugs her again. There's a knock at the door and a nurse enters.

'Breakfast.' She says with a smile and places the tray on the table beside the chair.

'Thank you.' I say.

'You're welcome, if you need anything else then press the buzzer.' She says and leaves the room. I lift the lid of the tray, smile and start to eat.

HANNAH

'Matt's OK. Don't worry.' Jack says as he hugs me. I nod and he hugs me again. 'It's just bruises, he's good in himself and has been talking away. They think he'll be able to go home later today.'

'That's good news, he hates hospitals.' Christian says. Jack takes hold of my other hand, I'm now in between Jack and Christian as they walk me into the hospital. Jack guides us towards his room.

'He's in here.' Jack says. 'Oh it says no visitors. I don't think that was there before.' Christian puts his hand on the door.

'Christian you can't just go in there. It must say no visitors for a reason.' I say.

'Hannah, when will you realise I'm Christian Grey, I do what the hell I want.' Christian says. Jack looks on in interest.

'And when will you realise Christian that when it comes to me and Matt you can't do what the fucking hell you want. Now respect the sign, sit down and wait.' I say. I stare at him and don't move to show that I mean business. He does listen though and sits down on one of the chairs outside the room. I sit down next to him and then Jack sits on my other side. Jack takes my hand once more and gives it a squeeze, I smile at him shyly. Christian raises his eyebrows at me, just as a doctor comes round the corner.

'Hi, I'm Doctor Anderson and I'm looking after your brother.' He says as Christian stands and shakes his hand. 'I just need to check up on him and then I need to speak to you and Jack before you can go in.'

'Is he OK?' Christian asks with concern. 'Jack told us he was but when we got here and saw the no visitors sign we were worried.'

'He seems absolutely fine but we need to do a brain scan to find out why he blacked out. He remembers talking to Jack and then waking up on the floor but not how he got there and there's no sign of him being hit on the head.' Dr Anderson says.

'There was a cloth and it smelt quite sweet.' Jack blurts out.

'Jeez.' Mutters Christian. 'He knocked him out with some chemical.'

'Sounds like it. Give me two minutes.' The Doctor says and disappears into the room.

'Fuck, I can't believe the pair of you are so stubborn that you won't have security. This could have been avoided.' Christian says angrily.

'I'll speak to him.' I say quietly. Jack squeezes my hand.

'This needs fucking sorting today.' Christian says.

'I said I'll speak to him.' I say. 'You need to calm down, if he hears you he will dig his heels in and won't listen to anything anyone tells him.'

'I'm sorry.' Christian says more calmly. 'But will you make him realise that this is important. I'll get Elliot to start work on the garage conversion straight away even if it means the house on the Sound isn't finished as quickly.'

'I'll make sure he understands how concerned you are.' I say and smile sweetly at him.

'Are you taking this seriously?' he asks.

'Christian, I always take the wellbeing of myself, my husband and my unborn babies seriously.' I say. He narrows his eyes.

'You've been spending too much time with Ana. Your mouth is getting as smart as hers.' He says. Jack tightens his grip on my hand.

'Would you like to see your little brother today after you've come all this way in your flash chopper?' I ask.

'Helicopter.' He says with a frown. 'And yes I would like to see him.'

'Then behave yourself, because if I get in there before you then I'll tell him that you've been upsetting me.' I mutter.

'Please Hannah, I'll behave.' He says.

'And stay calm. I don't want you going in there and upsetting him.' I say.

'I'll stay calm. I promise.' He says as he runs his hands through his hair. Jack squeezes my hand more gently this time in support. The door opens and the doctor appears, we all turn to look at him.

'Hannah you can go in now.' Dr Anderson says. 'Christian, Jack I need to speak to you both first.' Jack finally lets go of my hand as I stand and enter the room. I try not to show any shock when I see my beautiful husband sat in the chair, both eyes bruised, the left one swollen and almost closed. The bruising extends across the bridge of his nose and then his top lip is swollen and cut. As I walk across the room he stands and I go into his arms. He hugs me tightly and when I try to pull away he pulls me close again. I kiss his lip gently, he closes his eyes and sighs.

'I'm sorry.' He mutters.

'It wasn't your fault.' I say as I pull away slightly and this time he lets me. 'You don't look as bad as I expected.'

'I don't feel that bad, it doesn't hurt now. At first it did but not now.' He says. 'How's Christian?'

'The same as usual.' I say with a smile.

'Hopping mad.' He says and smirks at me.

'And then some. He's so desperate to say one word to you but I've told him not to.'

'Security.' He mutters. I nod. 'Fuck, he's going to insist on it isn't he? What are your thoughts on it baby?'

'It might be best to have it for an easier life and to keep him happy.' I say gently in the hope he will decide we need it.

'I was hoping to hold off until at least the babies were born. Though I had mentioned to him about Jonty coming to stay and I wanted security to keep an eye on him. Do you think he'd let us have Andrews, he was pretty relaxed in the summer.' He says.

'I think he would let us have anyone as long as you agreed to have someone.' I say.

'OK. I'll tell him as soon as he comes in here.' He says. 'I'm hoping they'll let me come home soon. The doctor is insisting on a brain scan though I don't know what the fuck for.'

'Language. If your mom turns up today she will be getting cross with you.' I say.

'Has Christian spoken to her?'

'No, just your dad. He's calling them again as soon as he's seen you.' I say. He kisses my lips briefly.

'Christian will be in here very soon.' Matt says as he kisses my lips once more. When I respond he deepens it.

'Your lip.'

'Fuck my lip. What I would give to be in bed with you right now?' he says. I pull away and smile at him.

'Later.' I murmur.

'Bathroom, now?' he asks.

'No Matt. You can wait.' I say. 'I am not having Christian interrupting us.'

'Why do you think the no visitor sign is on the door?' He says with a cheeky smirk through his swollen lip.

'You put that there.' I say.

'Well I got the doctor to. I got scared about Christian coming and needed some extra time. I don't know why I got Jack to call him, I think I panicked.' He says.

'I think he's secretly pleased that you felt you could call him. He's very concerned about you, don't go all defensive and mess anything up. He's just rescheduled his day to get here in record time.' I say gently.

'OK. OK. I'll stay calm.' He mutters. 'Let's go and see if the doctor has finished with them.' He walks to the door and opens it.

'Jeez Matt.' Christian says as he comes into the room. He hands him a pair of sunglasses, Matt takes them and grins at him.

'Thanks. My favourites.' Matt says as he puts them on.

'You left them at Escala.' Christian says as Matt disappears into the bathroom.

'You can't tell now apart from the lip and that will go down quickly.' Matt says as he comes back into the room grinning.

'Fuck, that coach is going to pay for this.' Christian says.

'Christian no, it might be best to leave it.' Matt says and looks worriedly at Jack.

'Matt I know everything. Jack told me, I've already got Welch onto it.' Christian says.

'Not everything.' Matt says and goes a deathly shade of pale. 'Fuck I'm going to throw up.' He adds and disappears into the bathroom. Christian follows him, I hear him being sick and calmly hit the buzzer. The doctor appears quickly.

'Matt's in there. He's being sick.' I say and the doctor goes in.

'Hannah, what did Matt mean about Christian not knowing everything?' Jack asks.

'I don't know, I'm totally oblivious as to what's going on.' I lie. I can't betray Matt and let Jack know that he told me stuff that he'd promised to keep quiet. I sit down in the chair and Jack perches on the edge of the bed. 'I just want to go back to yesterday when everything was perfect. Instead I was woken early to get here and see the state of his face and now he's sick. Nothing is ever easy once Matt gets to hospital. Last summer was a nightmare that I don't want to re-live.'

'What happened?' Jack asks.

'He got glandular fever, his spleen ruptured and he nearly died on the operating table. He was so ill and it didn't help that he was allergic to a lot of the drugs that he was given, he'd only been back at Christian's apartment a day and he blacked out hitting his head. His recovery was slow, we flew to Hawaii and the doctor there was fantastic as he was doing research and monitored Matt almost hourly. We then went to England for a week followed by New York. Christian got married, we had the family rows and then the discovery of the diabetes and then the most horrendous three months of not knowing where he was and now this. When Christian is around like now and Matt is sick it's easier just to let him take over and look after his little brother. Matt might pretend he hates Christian at the moment but the fact is that they love each other. Christian will do anything for Matt and that was reciprocated until three months ago but their bond is so strong that it will come back. Today might actually be a blessing in disguise by making it happen quicker than I expected.' I say. 'You also have to realise that anyone that is close to Matt then Christian looks out for them as well. That will include you.'

'I know.' Jack says. 'I met him yesterday. Matt knows, I told him earlier. I ended up telling Christian some things that I've never told anyone, not even Matt. He was really understanding.' I look at him in surprise. 'I'm a bit overwhelmed by how quickly things have escalated in the last few days. One minute I had my best mate Harry and now I'm in the middle of what feels like a dream.'

'I know the feeling.' I say and smile at him. He grins back at me.

CHRISTIAN

I watch as Matt wretches again, jeez how can one person be so sick. The doctor hands him a glass of water.

'Small sips.' The doctor says and Matt nods. 'Whatever chemical was used to knock you unconscious could have damaged you on the inside and this is how your body is reacting.' That fucking coach will pay. Welch will need to dig up all the dirt on the scumbag. There must have been other kids he abused apart from Jack. I think back to what Jack told me yesterday and I almost want to throw up myself though some of it was only what I had done with Elena. Now I know how Ana feels about that whole situation. I can see through the gap in the door, Hannah and Jack are chatting away and seem comfortable in each other's company, which is good news because I think Matt has found a great friend in Jack.

'Will he be sick every time he eats and if so how long will it last for?' I ask.

'No, I'll go and get something that will neutralise the effects of chloroform because that would have been mainly what was used though there must have been something else to make Matt black out instantly.' Dr Anderson says. 'It's not looking hopeful for you being home this afternoon.' Matt looks at me and then puts his head down.

'How long will you keep him here?' I ask.

'It depends, We need to make sure he can keep food inside him and then because of the diabetes we need to make sure his blood count is OK and settled. I'd still like to do the scan but a full body one.' Dr Anderson says. Matt looks up and nods, he looks resigned to the fact that he's spending the day in here.

'Christian you can go and get on with the rest of your day, you must be pretty busy. Please can you drop Hannah home and set up whatever security you think is necessary and when you phone mom just tell her it's a few bruises and I'm OK, there's no point her and dad coming all the way over here just to sit in a hospital room. I'll be OK, I'll get Jack to pick up my school books and I'll do some work.' Matt says.

'We can't leave you on your own.' I say.

'You can and you will. It's bad enough that I have to be here , everyone else doesn't need to be. I need to do schoolwork. I have a test tomorrow.' Matt says.

'Matt you might still be here tomorrow.' The doctor says gently.

'Fuck no. I need to do that test.' Matt says.

'I'm sorry I have to put your health first.' The doctor says.

'Could I do the test here if it can be arranged? Matt asks.

'It could be a possibility.' Dr Anderson says thoughtfully.

'Christian call the principal sometime today in your busy schedule and see what you can arrange. It's the economics test and they will probably need to send someone to watch over me to make sure I don't cheat.' Matt says bossily. I frown at him, something isn't right.

'I'll leave you two alone for a few minutes while I go and get the solution for you to drink.' The doctor says and leaves the room.

'What's wrong?' I ask.

'Nothing.'

'Start by telling me what you meant when you said I didn't know everything.' I say, he looks at me in alarm and then at the door. Jack and Hannah are still talking so I push the door shut. 'Matt, Jack told me all about his old swimming coach yesterday and the relationship they had. Also about how you discovered them in the office together, it must have been a shock.'

'It was.' He says quietly. 'Jack doesn't know but I reported the coach to the swimming authorities anonymously.'

'He won't have been able to work as a coach.' I say and Matt nods. 'Do you think that's why he attacked you?'

'I doubt it, he couldn't have known it was me. When I walked into his office he gave me a black eye then and warned me that I shouldn't interfere. Jack and I became good friends and spent a lot of time together.' He says.

'He could have been watching you for a while.' I say.

'Maybe, or watching Jack and seeing us hanging out together.' He says.

'Yes that's probably it. I'll get Welch onto the case and see what he comes up with.' I say. 'So what else is bothering you?'

'Nothing. I'm OK.'

'Don't give me that shit. Something is worrying you, you don't want anyone here with you.' I say trying to stay calm so that he will answer. He looks up and I can see the fear, he's scared of something. 'What is it? What has happened to make you want to be on your own?'

'I..I…I…' he starts to say and then looks away. I walk over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

'Breathe. Matt, breathe.'

'It's been six days since dad found me and I'm fucking terrified of doing something that one of you doesn't like and then you won't want me again. I tried so hard at the weekend, on Saturday I was OK and got used to having mom, dad and Hannah around. Sunday with you and Elliot was more difficult but now I'm dreading the weekend, I've told Hannah and dad that we'll go Thursday to Sunday and I'm not sure I can last that long and now they're changing their plans for Christmas but what if I mess up between now and then and they will have spent all that money and I'm so fucking scared to let anyone get close in case I get hurt again. Are you fucking happy now that I've just blurted all that out.' he says. I gulp and take a deep breath.

'Yes I am happy because now I know what I'm dealing with so that I can help you.' I say gently. 'Matt you haven't done anything wrong.'

'No-one liked the idea that Hannah was pregnant and then you thought I was taking drugs.' He mutters.

'The drugs were a misunderstanding and we're all very sorry about how we reacted about the pregnancy but we thought you were too young. We're all looking forward to meeting the babies now.' I say and continue to talk gently. 'Don't worry about this weekend, it will take you time to adjust to having everyone around. The golf on Saturday morning will be a good time out from having everyone around and you can take your frustrations out on the ball so that you beat Elliot. You don't really want to be left on your own here all day do you?'

'No.' he says quietly. 'But I don't want Hannah hanging around here all day either. She needs to be at home resting where it's more comfortable. Will someone be able to stay with her overnight to make sure she's OK? Fuck, why did this have to happen now?'

'Stay calm. I'm going to call mom. If she comes she might be able to persuade the doctor to let you home tonight because she can stay and keep an eye on you. Matt you need to drink the solution without any fuss no matter what it tastes like and then they'll want to see you eat and keep the food down.'

'Don't worry I will drink it OK, besides I'm not as fussy as I used to be.' He says. I raise my eyebrows at him and he smirks. 'I eat most things now, we even stopped at the burger place for a takeaway last night and on Monday evening we ate at the Mexican.'

'I'm impressed.' I say. 'Is lasagne still your favorite?'

'I only have it once every week or so though mom did make one on Saturday evening.' He says. There's a knock on the door and I open it, the doctor walks in and hands Matt the solution to drink which as promised he takes without question and drinks it in one go. I smile at him, that wouldn't have happened three months ago. 'When can I eat again?'

'In about twenty minutes.' The doctor says. 'Just something light to start with like toast.'

'That's OK. I'll tell Jack to take Hannah for something to eat and they can bring me some.' Matt says and stands.

'I'll call mom.' I say.

'Tell her not to worry.' Matt says.

'Matt will you stop worrying about other people. You know mom will be on her way as soon as she can be and no-one will stop her. She will have been looking for an excuse to visit you after the weekend and this is a perfect one for her to come and fuss.' I say. Matt groans and leaves the bathroom.

'Does Matt always worry like this?' The doctor asks.

'Yes. He always makes sure everyone else is OK before himself.' I say. 'You'll find he will worry all day while he's in here, at least when he was in with the ruptured spleen he slept all the time but today he'll be bouncing off the walls in a couple of hours.'

'So the sooner he goes home the better.' Dr Anderson says. I nod. 'I'll speak to your mom when she gets here, I know she's meant to be working tomorrow but do you think there would be any possibility of her staying the night?'

'If it means that Matt gets out of hospital today then yes.' I say with a smile. 'Just don't tell Matt yet and get his hopes up. I'll go and call mom now.'

'Thanks.'

'No problem.' I say and leave the bathroom.

MATT

'Baby I want you to go and get something to eat with Jack.' I say as I hug Hannah.

'I can't leave you.' Hannah says.

'Please Hannah.' I say and look at Jack. 'You need more than a bowl of Lucky Charms for breakfast and Jack hasn't eaten yet. Also please can you bring me some toast when you come back, I'll be able to eat again then but only toast.'

'Come on Hannah, now Matt has mentioned food I'm hungry.' Jack says and I grin at him.

'Have you got some money?' I ask.

'Yes and enough to pay for Hannah.' Jack says as he smiles back at me.

'Go.' I say gently to Hannah. 'I'll be OK.'

'Call me if you want anything.' Hannah says.

'Hannah you haven't got time to talk to Matt, I'm going to pass out if I don't get food in the next five minutes.' Jack jokes and takes her hand. 'Let's go.'

'Look after her Jack.' I say as they walk out of the room.

'Don't worry I will.' Jack says over his shoulder. I stand at the door and look at Andrews who nods and starts to follow them just as Christian walks back down the corridor.

'I didn't see you leave the bathroom.' I mutter.

'You were hugging Hannah. Have they gone for breakfast?' Christian asks. I nod. 'Andrews was supposed to be watching you.'

'I think they need him more. I will be OK here. Where's Taylor and Sawyer?' I ask.

'Dealing with something.' He says.

'The Coach.'

'Yes, they're trying to find out what provoked the attack.' Christian says and then changes the subject. 'Mom is on her way, she left as soon as dad told her. She's driving your Saab. Dad will come later this afternoon when he's collected Mia from SeaTac.' Before I have time to answer he takes his phone out of his pocket. 'Grey.' He says and then listens. He looks at me and smiles. 'OK Taylor thanks. Make your way back here.'

'He found out why.' I say.

'Yes. He thought you and Jack were in a relationship and then spotted you at the burger place with Hannah last night. He didn't want to see Jack get hurt because he thought you were cheating on him.' Christian says. 'It's up to you if you want to press charges.'

'No.' I say. 'But I do want him to get the hell out of Port Orchard and away from Jack.'

'I can arrange that.' Christian says.

'Thanks and if anyone asks what happened I slipped over at the pool. I don't want this in the papers.' I say. 'You can arrange that.'

'Bossy.' He says but is smiling at me.
